Search for the Truth Kathryn Freeman

What's the book about:
Sometimes the truth hurts …
When journalist Tess Johnson takes a job at Helix pharmaceuticals, she has a very specific motive. Tess has reason to believe the company are knowingly producing a potentially harmful drug and, if her suspicions are confirmed, she will stop at nothing to make sure the truth comes out.
Jim Knight is the president of research and development at Helix and is a force to be reckoned with. After a disastrous office affair he’s determined that nothing else will distract him from his vision for the company. Failure is simply not an option.
As Tess and Jim start working together, both have their reasons for wanting to ignore the sexual chemistry that fires between them. But chemistry, like most things in the world of science, isn’t always easy to control.

My thoughts on the book:
Tessa has lost someone really close to her and she is ready to find the killer cause she knows someone is to blame for the death and she is pointing that finger and the company who created the drug to help cancer patients and she will stop at nothing to prove they are in the wrong. Jim has had heart break and is ready to conquer the world of medicine and at no cost will anything or anyone stop him and he doesn't care who he piss off he plans to do things his way and make things right for a change. What he doesn't plan his the one person he never wanted to see to come back in his life like a bad habit and  then Tess drops into his life will he be able to to handle all his plans before it all explodes in his face?

I will first start off saying the base of the story was written well. I expected it to be a bit of a mystery and it really wasn't. I felt like the book was a little long, if I had to divided the book in half, half was really good and the other was just ok. I felt like there really was to many details at one point I thought there was maybe a point to all of the details but nope not really, and sometime it seem to repeat its self. I will say this the not so good is spread out evenly so if you can manage to get through that the book its self was ok. Overall I would give this book a 3.5 stars I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either, maybe better for the perfect reader.
