Accidentally Perfect by Marissa Clarke

 Description:
Workaholic Lillian Mahoney has given everything to her job. The hugely popular lifestyle show she helped create monopolizes her time, energy, creativity, and anything remotely resembling a life. But all it takes is the show’s womanizing, egomaniac star throwing a massive hissy on live TV to utterly implode Lillian’s career in a New York minute.

Now Lillian’s hiding out in the gorgeous and completely unknown seaside village of Blink, Maine. Out of gas. A stolen wallet. A broken heel. And worse, she’s somehow managed to completely piss off the town’s resident hunk, Caleb Wright. She’ll show that hot, grumpy single father
exactly what she’s made of.

But Blink isn’t quite what Lillian expects—and neither is Caleb...or his feisty teen daughter she can't help but love. And while her entire life and career are in shreds, Lillian might just discover what happens when she gives her bad first impression a second chance…

My Review:
So this is a new to me author and I have to say I really enjoyed this book. In the very beginning I will say I kind of rolled my eyes (I don't read the descriptions). and thought oh great another rich girl story who's untouched with reality. I was so far off base and I am glad I gave it a chance. Lillian puts her best foot forward in everything she does and was a totally hard head and would not let the words, no or can't stop her. I liked how she seemed like she would take the world on and leave it in a better place. I liked Caleb even though in the beginning I would have liked to ask if his mama taught him any manners oh boy. The are quite a few sub characters that personalities just jumped off the pages and you really wanted to know more about them. Overall I really like this book and I don't know if this is a series but I want to much for from the small town of Blink. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My Review:
I will start off by saying I am not ready for this series to come to an end. I feel like in every book you find something to love about a main character or dislike about a sub-character in the book. In this book is was very much the same. Can we just smack some sense into Holden, Shane and Kendall, lol. I really liked Rhett he was this down to earth feel to him who wants better and is willing to do just about anything to make it happen. Olivia is hands down my favorite Monroe so far, she did not put up with a whole lot and was full of sassiness. I also found my self laughing a lot in this book between Sonny and Rhett's grandpa you just never know what was going to come out of their mouth next. I really don't have anything negative to say this book was a fun read and well worth it. Its also a quick read, this author did not disappoint one bit. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Sweetheart Deal Miranda Liasson

  Description:
From the bestselling author of the Angel Falls series, two enemies say “I do” in the first irresistible book about Blossom Glen.

Pastry chef Tessa Montgomery knows what everyone in the teeny town of Blossom Glen says about her. Spinster. Ice Queen. Such a shame. It’s enough to make a woman bake her troubles away, dreaming of Parisian delicacies while she makes bread at her mother’s struggling boulangerie. That is until Tessa’s mortal enemy—deliciously handsome (if arrogant) chef Leo Castorini, who owns the restaurant next door—proposes a business plan…to get married.

Leo knows that the Castorinis and the Montgomerys hate each other, but a marriage might just force these stubborn families to work together and blend their businesses for success. The deal is simple: Tessa and Leo marry, live together for six months, and then go their separate ways. Easy peasy.

It’s a sweetheart deal where everyone gets what they want—until feelings between the faux newlyweds start seriously complicating the mix. Have they discovered the perfect recipe for success…or is disaster on the way?

My Review:
I thought this book was super cute. I liked Tessa she was super independent and knew what she wanted but struggled to know how to get there but still be there for her family. Early on in the book I so wanted to slap her sisters but the more I read I was so glad that they were more active in Tessa's life. Leo on the other hand had to grow on me, I felt like early on he was stuck up and a punk but like the sisters the more I read the author has away of making you see the best in all the characters. I liked how nothing was going to stop these two from doing what was right for their families. Overall I would totally recommend this book, it just was a fun read and was hard to put down.
