Last Dance with a Cowboy Sara Richardson

Description:
Can this wandering cowboy convince his first love that he deserves a second chance in a charming contemporary romance for fans of New York Times bestselling authors Jennifer Ryan and Maisey Yates—with a bonus novella by Carolyn Brown!
Leila Valentino will do anything to keep her grandparents’ Colorado winery afloat. Even partner with August Harding, the first—and last—man to break her heart. Fifteen years ago, August left Silverado Lake, and Leila, far behind. Now the cowboy’s back with an offer that could save her family’s business. But to keep her grandparents from worrying over the vineyard’s finances, Leila insists August give a different reason for his return: her.

August Harding is one step away from a huge promotion. All he has to do is ensure that his company acquires Valentino Bellas Vineyards. And if pretending he and Leila are back together is the cost . . . well, he can’t say no. Leila has never forgiven him for the way he ended things, but the longer they pretend to be a couple, the more he begins to wonder if a second chance isn’t impossible after all. But can he convince Leila that this time he’s not walking away?

My Review:

This was a cute story. I really liked Leila she was a fighter and always wanting to do what's right for her family. August was dealing with hurt from the loss of someone close so he was reserved and not willing to put him heart on the line. While I found the book very predictable, I also found the story very cute. I loved Nonna, Poppa, and August family they were just so fun side characters and I feel like Nonna and Poppa had so much wisdom and was so fun to read about. This book does have adult content and may be sensitive to some. Overall this was a fun book and worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Protect Me Not Natasha Anders

 Description:
Some temptations are just not worth the complication.

Victoria Hollingsworth does not need a surly, uncommunicative bodyguard cramping her style, following her everywhere, and intimidating any would-be male callers. She’s a florist for goodness sake, not a princess or a pop star. Having a massive, mysterious bodyguard always hovering is an inconvenience. And yet… there he is, Tyler Chambers, her unwanted protector, ultra-serious, no-nonsense, and off-the-charts hot. Vicki doesn’t want, or need, him as a bodyguard. Yet, disturbingly, he may be everything she wants, and needs, in a man.

Ty hates his current long-term assignment. It’s mind-numbingly tedious. Vicki Hollingsworth is a pain in the butt who talks too much, laughs a lot, and frequently tests his patience. And her life isn’t exactly filled with intrigue and action. Ty is ready for this job to be over. He has just a couple of months left before reassignment. He’s mere weeks away from being out of here. The last thing he needs is to find his cute-as-a-button charge irresistibly attractive. She’s not his type. Wholesome, adorable, and sweet, Vicki is the kind of woman who needs long-term commitment. And all Ty has to offer is a few short weeks of far-from-wholesome pleasure.

How much chaos can one little florist introduce into his regimented life? Ty is about to find out.

My Review:
I feel like this book wasn't for me. I just felt like there was too much of the same miscommunication throughout the book. I liked Victoria while she was rich she just came of a grounded down to earth girl. I liked Linda and Josh they seemed so genuine and just great friends to Vicki. Ty had issues and he just came off like a jerk some times he overall was ok but I felt like all the push and pull was just a little to dramatic and would have like to see it go another way. This book does contain adult language and erotic scenes may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Love and Let Bark Alanna Martin

 Description:
It's up to two rescue husky puppies to convince their owners it's never too late for a second leash on love.

When Nate Porter left Helen, Alaska, to become a firefighter with the Forest Service, he claimed it was because he craved adventure. The truth was, he couldn't stand to hang around, pining for a girl the town's century-old feud meant he could never have. But Nate got over Lydia Lipin years ago, or so he thought until he learns that an old rival has come sniffing around. The solution—a trip home with his rescue puppies to prove to himself he completely extinguished that old flame.

Lydia Lipin has always been satisfied being the "good" Lipin daughter—dutiful, practical, and always putting others before herself. But that role begins to chafe as Nate's return ignites old memories. No one in town knew about their secret friendship or those forbidden kisses they stole the summer after graduation. Suddenly, Nate and his puppies are everywhere, and sparks are flying.

When Nate realizes he never got over Lydia, he'll risk everything for a second chance. But Lydia's not a risk-taker, and she has to make a choice—play it safe and pretend their summer fling was just puppy love, or step out of the family shadow and unleash her heart.

My Review:
I thought this book was cute, I mean you have dogs with tons of spunk and personalities and you have a cat with a large personality and attitude what's not to laugh at. The feud seems to be through the whole town and having to "meet" was interesting for these characters. I felt like Lydia have big heart and would do anything to make her family and those she cared about happy while putting her self on the back burner. Nate loves his family but they just seem a bit much and he's happy with him and his two dogs. This book does have adult language and content and may not be suitable for all. Overall fun story. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My Review:
This is love story with what could be a deadly twist. I really enjoyed this book. I loved Abigail and her sisters. I loved how Abigail had a big heart and truly loves and cares for those around her. I liked Jonah he struggled and wanted to do what's right but it just didn't always feel right making the right decisions. I loved this sisters and can't wait to read more about this hopefully in the future. I did not like Mariam she was just someone I wanted to yell at Lol. I liked how the author keeps you guessing through out the book from the beginning to the last chapter. I loved that this book was kept clean and good for all. Overall this book was worth the read and I could not put it down. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A Royal Christmas Fairy Tale Karen Schaler

 Description:
A “sweet Christmas charmer…” – Publishers Weekly

From the three-time Emmy Award-winning writer of Netflix sensation A Christmas Prince and Hallmark’s Christmas Camp, comes this heartwarming, feel-good Christmas romance about the power of believing in yourself to find your happily ever after...

A charming Christmas village, a storybook castle, a royal ball, and a gorgeous prince are the last things New York City reporter Kaylie Karlyle expects to find on her holiday freelance assignment to Europe. But when the family she’s interviewing turns out to be the royal family of Tolvania, Kaylie has a meltdown when the quirky queen wants her to write a Christmas fairy tale for the spunky, young princess. Kaylie must battle the princess’s father, who doesn’t trust the media, and her own insecurities about writing anything beyond the news.

To spark inspiration for the fairy tale, the queen recruits the prickly Prince Alexander to show Kaylie the family’s most spectacular royal holiday traditions. And sparks definitely fly when the only thing Kaylie and the prince agree on is that they’re both more “bah humbug” than “ho, ho, ho.”

But somewhere between sleigh rides and snow angels, merrymaking and mistletoe, upside-down Christmas trees, and a legendary Christmas crown, Kaylie and the prince open their hearts to Christmas and start believing in themselves and each other. It’s a real-life fairy tale in the making until Kaylie discovers a secret about a royal Christmas heirloom that jeopardizes everyone’s happily ever after. Can the magic of the season save this holiday happy ending?

Bonus Content: Includes exclusive delicious royal-themed Christmas recipes and holiday activities.

My Review:
This book reminded me from the beginning of a hallmark movie. You have the push, pull and the misunderstanding., you have love, fun and a spunky princess and queen. I loved the princess she spoke her mind and never filtered anything coming out of her mouth which made her such a sweet honest girl. The queen was also fun because she wanted what was best for her family but she also felt like the most loving person to everyone around her. Kaylie seemed like she knew what she wanted in her heart but it seemed her heart and head just didn't match up. I was not a huge fan of Alex why I understood his need to be cautious but he just came off like a jerk. Over all this book was a clean read and it was fun and really puts you in the Christmas spirit for sure.

Heiress Madeline Love has one last chance to impress her father and organize the perfect Christmas—their last one as a family before her father weds a younger woman and forgets about his only daughter. Madeline wants to create some much-needed family memories in their historic Montana ranch that she’s always loved. All she needs is the help of one man, Seth Casey, ranch builder to the rich and famous, to give the neglected ranch a quick holiday facelift.

Contractor and architect Seth Casey has dreamed about buying the dilapidated Love property and restoring it to its former glory since he was old enough to swing a hammer. But when he finally gets the long-awaited call, it’s not what he hoped for. The ranch is not for sale and the design the pampered, poor little rich girl requests is all wrong for the historic property.

Can they put their differences aside in order to make this a Christmas to remember?

My Review:
I have not read any of the other books in this series but if they are as fun as this one then I know I am missing out. I loved Savannah she wants what's best for her kids no matter what and she loves them fiercely. With out giving anything away I liked how the author kept things real there was no big "misunderstanding" I liked how even though Maddie comes from money the characters felt very real and very much like you are catching up with friends. Seth and his only "one favors" made me laugh because at first it didn't make since and made you go hmmm but once the author disclosed the meaning behind it, it felt more like a inside joke between the characters. Overall this story was super cute and a fun read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Lemons on Friday Mattie Jackson Selecman

 Description:
After being married for less than a year, country music legend Alan Jackson’s daughter Mattie was faced with navigating a future that didn’t include her young husband and their lifelong plans.

Ben Selecman passed away twelve days after a traumatic brain injury—and three weeks before celebrating his first anniversary with his wife. Twenty-eight-year-old Mattie had to find a way to move forward and reconcile herself with a good God, even when He did not give her the healing miracle she prayed for.

In Lemons on Friday, readers walk with Mattie Jackson Selecman during the first years of grief following Ben’s tragic death as she grapples with her loss and leans on a steadfast God. Based on Selecman’s journal writings, Lemons on Friday will speak to all readers who must carry on without their loved ones and take a hard look at faith when their lives have not gone as planned.

Lemons on Friday grapples with questions like these:
How did I get here?
Will this always hurt?
Who am I now?
How do I move forward?

“When fundamental parts of our lives are lost, when people and things we thought we’d never lose are suddenly gone, it’s natural to want answers,” writes Selecman. “Why did this happen? Who’s to blame? What could I have done differently? And for many of us in the aftermath of life-shattering change, we also want to know, where is God? Not just where was He when the tragedy happened, but where is He now in my darkest days of hurt, wondering, and longing for comfort? When I am on the floor, writhing in tears with no idea what the rest of my life will look like, where is God?”

Lemons on Friday offers insight and peace for anyone grieving, but especially for young people experiencing loss and facing a future that feels full of question marks.

My Review:
I usually do not read non fiction but when I do I want a book that will knock my socks off. This book did that for me. While some books I can knock out in one setting this is a book you will want to take your time and saver the authors words and her journey through the loss of her husband. This story is definitely is a book you may want to grab of a box of tissues. I think no matter where you are in your journey with grief I found this author had a new perspective of grief. I also feel that this is not just about loss of a spouse but really anyone who you love and care about. Its about meeting God every step of the way and finding his peace in your journey. Some of the stories the author shared about the signs she felt God give her about the dreams all those just left me with chills and made me stop and really thank God for the signs he has give me even though I had not seen them so clear at the time. Over all this book is worth the read not matter where you are its insightful and has away of getting you in the heart right where you need it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

 Montana Cowboy Miracle Jane Porter

 Description:
This Christmas he’s confronting the past…

Wyoming rancher Cade Hunt rents a room in Marietta for the month of December for one purpose—to unravel the mysteries of his past. He’s not interested in the local Christmas festivities, even though his pretty landlord Merri Bradley is more appealing than any woman he can remember.

After losing her husband far too early, hospice nurse Merri has dedicated her life to caring for the grief-stricken during their final goodbyes. She loves her busy and fulfilling life and has no time for a brooding cowboy during her favorite time of year. Yet Cade is tempting, and she’s technically his hostess.

But Marietta is full of Christmas magic and miracles. Soon Cade is embraced by the family he didn't know he had—a grandfather and four Wyatt cowboy cousins. For the first time in his life, Cade has a sense of belonging and the desire to set down roots if only he can convince Merri that second chances are the best chance for their own happily ever after.

My Review:
So far I haven't found a book that is in Marietta MT that I don't like, I feel like its coming home. That was very much the case with this book. I feel like I was catching up with friends and settling in for a fun adventure ahead. I really liked both characters why they both faced there own adversities they both helped those that meant the world to them and helped any one that crossed there path the may be in a tight spot. I loved Merri she had such a huge heart and was just really hard not to like. Cade really tugged at my heart strings he was looking to feel like he belonged somewhere but he just needed to know where that was. I feel like there is more adventures ahead in Marietta and I can't wait to see where the author takes this family next. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The Cowboy's Christmas Jeannie Watt

 Description:
Christmas in Marietta, Montana, is a season of magic and second chances...

Wayward cowboy Quinn Harding doesn’t have a secret—he is a secret. Or he was until his rancher brothers learned of his existence and insisted on meeting up. But Quinn’s reluctant—he’s always been a lone cowboy, enjoying his quiet isolation and taking pride in his ranch work. He’s not a man who’s ever dreamed of a home or family, but when an accident forces him into temporary employment at a small family ranch, he begins to rethink his life’s choices.

Since losing her husband two years ago during the holidays, Savannah Dunn has dodged people and Christmas, preferring the beauty and solitude of her ranch. But now that she’s playing temporary parent to her twin nieces, she desperately needs to rekindle her holiday spirit and sense of fun for the sake of the girls.

Can she and the quiet, gorgeous ranch hand bring the joy of Christmas to the ranch without either of them losing their hearts?

My Review:
I thought this book was cute. I laughed a lot but I also felt that if got to the heart of the matter as well. I Liked Quinn he had such a big heart and he just over all was a good person. I liked how he didn't try to pretend everything was ok with what took place with his brothers but tried to work through it on his own time. I liked Savannah she also cared a lot for those she loved, but I also feel that she also was very stand offish which made her hard to connect with. I felt like she really did live in the grief. I loved the girls and Deke they were just really hard not to like they added a fun element to this story for sure. Overall all this was a fun read and well work it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

 Description:

Kara’s determined to elevate her career, and saving a high profile holiday party just weeks before Christmas is the perfect solution. Widower Richard Westfield may be a whiz at designing top-of-the-line security technology, but he’s flummoxed as to how to protect his kids and his heart from taking another emotional hit. He strikes a deal with Kara: she’ll work her organizational magic if he’ll make an effort to find his footing as a father again.

But as they team up to return the Christmas spirit to his Colorado mountain chateau, sparks fly and Kara realizes she needs to let go of her own pain to embrace the love she's beginning to feel in her heart.

My Review:
I have always like this author in the past and this book I will have to say just didn't do it for me. I did like Kara she has a huge heart and will do just about anything for anyone even those she doesn't know. I have to say sadly my favorite characters were not the main characters but those who had cameos throughout. Richard annoyed me I found him to be very selfish and self centered from the beginning and was not a fan but his kids oh my the cutest ever and I loved the dog. I was also a huge fan of HIs parents. I feel like the story was a lot of push and pull and a lot of misunderstanding and for grown adult it just seemed to much. Overall the story was cute just had a few dragging parts also the author kept the story clean which is always a plus with me so it makes it suitable for all readers.  I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

When he meets a woman whose warm smile and conversation intrigue him, Owen is ready to try again but knows he needs to up his game. What’s the harm in borrowing a few ideas?

Can the Christmas magic last forever, or will their relationship dissolve into another ho-hum holiday fling?

My Review:
I really liked this book it started off feeling very much Hallmarkish. It so cute and puts you in the holiday spirits. I loved Grace she said what she wanted and did it in a way that she was kind about it. I loved how she also knew what she wanted and also loved and cared so much for others. I really enjoyed her relationship with Beth what an amazing friendship those two have. I liked Owen why he seemed to value others opinions he also on the flip side he beat to his own drum and was willing to step out of his comfort zone. I loved his relationship with his sister they just had an sweet relationship and played perfect into this story. I love that the author kept is clean and this book was well worth the read. I think this book would be a fun read for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. My Review:
This author did not disappoint with this book. I could not put this book down from page one till the end. It defiantly started off with a twist and the author kept them coming from start to finish. I really liked Erin she was a fighter and she loves hard and cares for those close to her. I liked Nathan as well he Loved his dad and would do anything for him including getting to the bottom of who's after him and those he loves. I liked that even in the end when you finally have an idea of who did it that author those you a curve ball you didn't see coming and leaves you wanting so much more. Cold Case Investigators

Book 1: Cold Case Takedown
Book 2: Cold Case Double Cross
Book 3: Yuletide Cold Case Cover-Up

My Review:
As always this author did not disappoint with this book. This is one of those books where your like ok I will read a few chapters then go to bed and before you know the book has only a few chapters left and you have to be up in a few hours but you are so sucked into the story you need to finish it. Throughout the whole book you think you know who did it and Poppy and Rhett feel they know who did it and then BAM!!! not what you thought. I loved Beth and her sisterDelilah I so want them to have there happily ever after and I am not sure if the author plans something but I am rooting for them. I really over all enjoyed this book put me on the edge of my seat and just enjoyed it so much I really liked the banter from Rhett and Poppy and Poppy and her brother Tack they made a tough situation in the book laughable at time and it just helps break up a little of the suspense. Overall this book is worth the read.

My Review:
This is a new to me author so of course I wasn't sure what to expect. I will say the author did not disappoint I kind of feel invested in all these characters lives now. I loved Andrew he was the best friend/brother anyone truly could as for and with such an active role in this book I want him to have HIs happy ever after for sure. I liked Ava and Jenna their personalities seem to shine off the pages. With some of the things that Both Maverick and Kennedy reached faced I found this book more on the  emotional side of a rom-com. I felt like they were both stubborn and pig headed and they would push each others buttons which added to the laughter of it all. There is some adult situations in this book that may not be suitable for all readers. Over all I did enjoy this book it did drag in a few parts but when it was good it was really good and made up for it, such a fun read.  I received a complimentary copy of this book. “A captivating romance novel with a sexy cowboy making this perfect for anyone who loves a steamy romantic read.” - Fresh Fiction on My Favorite Cowboy

My Review:
So when I first started this book I did not know what to expect since I am not one to read the back/description of a book but judge a book by its cover. I will say I was not disappointed but if you are like me this book is not what it seems. It will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to the end and have you even holding your breath waiting to see what is going to happen next. I love Vic she has such a huge heart and I am not sure what the authors plans are for her but I hope we get to read her story. Carlos is also a great side character he truly had Dwight's best interest at heart and when it mattered most. Dwight and Emmy where fun to read about I felt for Emmy but her heart was in the right place and Dwight would stop at nothing to protect what was his. This book does has some adult situations in it so may not be suitable for all readers. Overall this book was a fun read and well worth it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
