A cook rediscovers her passion…

Thanks to a new chef in town

Would a perfectionist like him approve of the corners she cuts to find time for her children? But as Cam helps her rediscover her love for cooking, Ivy finds they have more in common than she expected…

My thoughts on the book:

I really love reading about the Monroe family. I like how Grandpa Harlan has set the rules and it really has soften and open the hearts of some. When I first started this book I did not like Cam I really honestly didn't expect to like this book because he just got on my nerves. However that changed pretty quickly he grows on you quickly and he starts to show his true self and his heart. I have loved Ivy from the get go and she has always been a favorite and I could not wait to read her story. Her story was not always easy to read but it makes who she its that much more special. I loved her boys and their spunkiness. There was a situation with Gabby that I want to know what happened but I am sure the author has something big planned for that, not so much that she left us hanging but build up for the next I am sure. I really enjoyed this book a lot and can't wait for more from this family. If you are looking for a clean read and a fun read check this series out, you won't be disappointed. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

A traditional, clean romance with no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

My thoughts on the book:

I really love this series and I only want more. I want to know what happens so Queen, I want to read Chainsaws story because I really like him and throughout all these books he has become my favorite. This book like the others just shows blood doesn’t make you family it’s who your choose. I loved Becca she was a fighter and nothing was going to stand in her way of doing her job and doing it good. I would have liked to hit Spider up the side of the head of few times personally but he has a good heart even though his life has not been all that great. I don’t even know where to begin with Roadhouse so I will say read the book and you will know what I mean. I loved being able to catch up with the others from the first few books. I also liked how the author keeps it a clean read while dealing with some not so easy things. Seriously grab this book and the others in this series you really won’t be disappointed

Now might be the time to ask for help. . .from God Himself. But Zac’s greatest fear is facing the God he has run from for more than a century.

My thoughts on the book:

I had a really hard time with this book. I was not for me. I have never read anything by this author and didn't know what to expect. I found the book to be confusing and I had a hard time following the storyline. This book is a science fiction book, not something I typically read but wanted to give a chance at. This book is part of a series and I am not sure if maybe reading book one would have made this book make more sense or easy to follow the storyline. I will say this if science fiction is your thing grab book one first (I have not read the first one) and maybe that will help make this book make more sense. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

My thoughts on the book:

So I got this book and finished it right away I could not put this book down, it truly draws you in and leaves you wanting more. To me the characters seemed very relatable to a point which is nice. They were fun to read about and it felt like you were right there sometimes. I liked Levi's sisters they love him but they but they are ready to be their own person and have no problem telling him. I loved how Mia has such a big heart, while we hear in real life that movie stars are so selfish the author had a way of making Mia relatable and it was really hard not to like her. I really like the community of this book. It really goes to show you that you can make your own family. This book is a good clean read. The book was a really fun read and I can't wait to see where the siblings go next I am totally rooting for Grace. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge Debbie Mason

Description:

Sparks fly between an L.A. career woman and a former Army Ranger in this delightful enemies-to-lovers romance from the USA Today bestselling queen of small-town love stories.
Welcome to Highland Falls, a small town where love is always in the air.
In just a few months Abby Everhart has gone from being a top LA media influencer to an unemployed divorcée living out of her car. So inheriting her great-aunt's homestead comes at the perfect time. Abby heads to Highland Falls, North Carolina, to spruce up Honeysuckle Farm before putting it on the market for some much-needed cash. But instead of finding a charming getaway, she discovers a serious fixer-upper, complete with a leaky roof, overgrown yard, and a reclusive -- albeit sexy -- man living on the property.
Ex-Delta Force soldier Hunter MacKenzie has faced war and loss, but nothing has quite prepared him for an outgoing redhead who's determined to turn his life upside down. Hunter doesn't want to get involved with anyone, especially a city girl who plans to sell the only place he's ever felt at home. But the sparks between them are undeniable. Spending time with Abby is easy. Convincing her to stay for good is another matter entirely.

My thoughts on the book:

At first I found Abby to be annoying, and I felt like Hunter just tolerates her. However she grew on me and I end up really liking her. She has a big heart and a big spirit she is a spit fire that’s for sure but she also has this completely sweet and relatable side to her. I really like Sadie and Mallory and hope their stories are coming soon too. The characters in this book really draws you in and make you want to stick around to see what they are going to do next. This book does have adult situations indicates but overall the book was a completely fun read and I can’t wait for more.

The kiss they once shared still fuels his fantasies, but when she walked away, he let her go. Now Toby is determined to fix his mistakes. Can this sweet-talking cowboy prove that the passion still burning between them is worth braving the odds?

My thoughts on the book:

Who doesn't like a good cowboy book. I found this story super cute. I liked the struggle between the two main characters because it wasn't just the struggle between each other but the struggles they faced in there every day life. They faced them without coming off as whiney. I liked Beth she was a friend everyone should have, someone willing to love you in spite of. I liked all the characters and small town of this book, I feel like it they could be friends even the old bitty's. This book does have adult situations but over all it a really fun read and I found it hard to put down wanting to know what the characters were up to next. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Unveiling the Past Kim Vogel Sawyer

Description:

Mysteries, family secrets, and the love of a true Father are found at the heart of this gripping novel from the bestselling author of Bringing Maggie Home

Newlyweds Sean Eagle and Meghan DeFord are no strangers to pain and loss. As cold-case detectives, they know intimately the anguish family members endure after the murder or disappearance of a loved one. But when a new case hits too close to home, it threatens to pull loose the fragile cords of their young marriage.

Sheila Menke was just a girl when her father left for work and never returned. An investigation revealed he had embezzled enough to start a new life elsewhere, but Sheila could never accept the court’s criminalization of her father. Meghan reluctantly takes the case, secretly fearing it will stir up buried feelings about her own biological father. And while Sean investigates the mysterious death of two young brothers, he longs to start a family. But Meghan worries that with a negligent mother and an absentee father as her parenting examples, she might never be fit for motherhood.

As they delve deeper into the past, both Meghan and Sheila must choose to either stumble along the road of bitterness and resentment or walk the difficult path toward forgiveness and healing. When the cases begin to break wide open, these young women are poised to discover that while earthly fathers may fail, there is one in heaven who is a father to the fatherless.

My thoughts on the book:

So I have never read anything by this author before so I didn't know what to expect. However I was not disappointed. The author does have four main characters, however it was not hard to follow the author labeled when the change happened. I liked how there was suspense to the book and it really draws you in and leaves you wanting more with every turn of the page. I really liked Hazel so much, she spoke her mind but had a way of doing it in such a loving way, also had me laughing. Meghan and Shelia had a way of making you feel like you could relate with them and the author made it feel like I was catching up with a friend. This book did not disappoint at all, I really like that this was a good clean read suitable for all readers. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

A Week at the Shore Barbara Delinsky

Description:

“A first-rate storyteller who creates believable, sympathetic characters who seem as familiar as your neighbors,” (The Boston Globe), Barbara Delinsky presents a captivating new novel about a woman whose unexpected reunion with her estranged family forces her to confront a devastating past in A Week at the Shore.

One phone call is all it takes to lure Mallory Aldiss back to her family’s Rhode Island beach home. It's been twenty years since she's been gone—running from the scandal that destroyed her parents' marriage, drove her and her two sisters apart, and crushed her relationship with the love of her life, Jack Sabathian. Twenty years during which she lived in New York, building her career as a photographer and raising her now teenage daughter Joy.

But that phone call makes it clear that something has brought the past forward again—something involving Mallory’s father. Compelled by concern for her family and by Joy’s wish to visit her mother’s childhood home, Mallory returns to Bay Bluff, where conflicting loyalties will be faced and painful truths revealed.

In just seven watershed days at the Rhode Island shore, she will test the bonds of friendship and family—and discover the role that love plays in defining their lives.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was not really for me. I found it hard to get into. This book is told from a first person point of view, I wish the author would have included to people telling the story at least even if she kept it FPP. They say anything could happen in an instant and I feel like that sums up this story lots of different scenarios and some twists and turns to me sometimes it was almost like the author didn’t know where to go so she through something out there and it stuck. Some of the story was good, I really liked Joy she was a pistol and was fun to read about. There is sex and adult language in this book and may not be suitable for all. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

My thoughts on the book:

This book is super powerful, it discusses some very tough subjects. The author also discusses finding forgiveness when life doesn't look so great. I found this book really hard to put down. I liked how the author held nothing back. The characters felt like so relatable and felt like I was catching up with a friend who was going through something. This author does not disappoint the book draws you in keeps you going to the end. I really hope to read more about the Miracle five and I hope that Ben and Sebastian's stories will be coming soon. This book is a good clean read though it does discuss some tough topics it's so worth the read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
