A Very Merry Match Melinda Curtis

 Description:

The holidays are served up with some spice in this small-town romance featuring a woman who must maintain a secret identity and the man who begins falling for her.
This Christmas, all Mayor Kevin Hadley wants is to give his five-year-old son whatever his heart desires. Only Tad has fallen head over holly for his pretty, sweet-as-sugarplum teacher. When attraction sparks between Kevin and Mary Margaret, the single dad thinks she may be the answer to his and his son's dreams. But after Mary Margaret reluctantly turns him down, Kevin decides it's time to embark on a new campaign -- one for Mary Margaret's heart.
Mary Margaret Sneed usually spends her holiday baking and caroling with her students. Yet this year, she's swapped shortbread and sleigh bells for a second job to pay off her late husband's debts. Mary Margaret would love to go tree trimming with Kevin and his son, but she won't risk his political future with her controversial side gig. Only the town's meddling matchmakers have determined there's nothing a little mistletoe can't fix . . . and if the Widows Club has their way, Mary Margaret and Kevin may just get the best Christmas gift of all this year.
Includes a bonus novella by Hope Ramsay!

My thoughts on the book:

I have always enjoyed books by this author, this one is probably not a favorite of mine. I loved Edith she was hands down my favorite it was really hard to not laugh at her antics, you never really knew what was going to come out of her mouth or what she was going to do next. Mary Margaret was also a sweet soul who faced a ton and seemed to just need to catch a break from it all. I was not a fan of Kevin I felt like Kevin wanted a meek schoolmarm or an accessory for his arm as he started his political career instead of the love of his life, I felt like Mary Margaret deserved better. Over all it was nice to catch up with the characters in book one it was a nice read anytime you add children to a book you will never know were it can go and if you are following this series then read this book too. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Amish Christmas Twins Shelley Shepard Gray, Rachel J. Good, Loree Lough

Description:

n these heartwarming, faith-affirming stories, three Amish families face the joys, and challenges, of the holidays—with fruitful results . . .

THE CHRISTMAS NOT-WISH
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Shelley Shepard Gray
When the foster parents they’ve cautiously grown to love discover they’re expecting, orphaned Roy and Jemima Fisher, ages six and seven, are secretly devastated by the certainty they’ll be given up. With Christmas around the corner, their only wish is for new foster parents as nice as Mr. and Mrs. Kurtz. Meanwhile, the Kurtzes have wishes of their own—and with faith, they all may be gifted with twice the blessings . . .

NEW BEGINNINGS * Rachel J. Good
Still grieving the loss of her husband and unborn baby in an accident several months ago, Elizabeth Yoder is oblivious to her neighbor Luke Bontrager’s deepening affection for her. But while she bleakly faces Christmas alone, it’s Luke who reminds her it’s the season for giving. And when Elizabeth donates her handmade baby clothes to New Beginnings, a home for teen moms, she soon finds her gifts repaid beyond measure, with Luke’s love—and new beginnings of their own . . .

TWINS TIMES TWO * Loree Lough
What happens when two secretive, stubborn people find themselves thrown together to help four rascally youngsters—twins times two!—create a Christmas surprise for their parents? Mischief and mayhem, and just maybe . . . love!

My thoughts on the book:

The Christmas not Wish

Before you sit down and start reading grab a box of tissues you will thank you me later.

This story was so guy wrenching, two children looking for they belonged and wanting nothing more then to have a family who loves them. EA and Will want a family and they get a surprise but they love these two like no other. This story was the perfect Christmas story it just draws you in and before you know it it’s over. So so good!

New Beginnings

When faced with loosing someone you love is hard enough but during the holidays is even harder. Elizabeth faced just that and she was trying her hardest to continue to tackle life as if threw her for a loop. Luke has always pined for Elizabeth and if that meant helping her and loving her from a far he was going to do it even if it killed him inside. I like Luke for that reason he just seemed to have this big heart of gold and was whiling to be there for his neighbors no matter who that was. This was a tough story to read if you ever loss someone close because you can truly feel the emotions, but you really can’t go wrong with it either.

Twins Times Two

This story was kind of a lighthearted story in away compared to the other two stories in the book. While Abagail dealt with loss she was healing and trying to make amends with the past. I loved the twin brothers man what kind of mischief those four could get into, and boy did they add some laughter to this book. I like Jube he was a sweet spirit who just left you wanting to do more for others. I like this story a lot it really did remind you what Christmas was all about.

Overall this book was a fun read emotional but also lighthearted. This book is a good clean read and suitable for all ages. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

BLAME IT ON THE MISTLETOE * Marina Adair

“Captures the spirit of the West.”
Booklist on The Maverick Cowboy

My thoughts on the book:

Mistletoe Cowboy

Was not a fan of this story. I did like Teddie she was a fun character with a lot of spit fire and drive to learn as much as she can and make something of herself even at a young age. I was not a fan of Parker he came off as whoa is me I’m a victim. The author has him as this ex military guy, with smarts like no other, but he comes off as a whimp and kind of a jerk. I feel like Katy could have done way better. I was sickened by the fact that it seemed Katy could not even stand up for her own daughter and she tolerated the behavior of her so called attorney. There was no curse words one adult scene over all a clean read just not the read for me.

Blame it on the mistletoe

Faith has a brick wall built around her heart an no one was getting through no matter what. She would also do anything to protect her nephew at all cost. Noah on the other hand was cocky and ready to tear down the wall Faith built if she would only let him in. Noah had issues of his own but he seemed to have a good heart, and really craved the closeness of his family. Now Faith my heart broke for her and for everything she faced and loss. She was a fighter and it was hard not to root for her in this story. There were sexual innuendoes throughout this story no strong language over all I did like this one over the first one.

Mistletoe Detour

I was not a huge fan of this story. I found both Ted and Veronica very immature being the fact they were in their 30’s they acted a lot more like they were in their early 20’s at best. I did like the authors sense of humor with the pig and his name kind of hard not to laugh at that every time the big made his appearance. There was adult content in this story so it may not be suitable for all readers.

Over all this set of books was not really my cup of tea. I liked Blame it on the Mistletoe the most it seemed to really get to the heart of Christmas over all. There is adult content in every one of these stories so may not be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A Heartfelt Christmas Promise Nancy Naigle

 Description:

A perfect gift that captures the spirit of the season, USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle’s A Heartfelt Christmas Promise celebrates the holidays, small-town traditions, and the generosity of love between two lost souls who find everything they ever wanted in each other.

Vanessa Larkin was supposed to be spending Christmas in Paris, France on a business trip she hoped to enjoy as a working vacation. Instead, she’s been assigned to Fraser Hills, North Carolina—home of the Best Fruitcake in the USA—to convert her company’s property into warehouse space and shut down Porter’s, the fruitcake factory. Offering retirement packages and selling locals on new job opportunities may not spread holiday cheer, but Vanessa believes she’s helping secure the town’s future.

Mike Marshall’s family founded Porter’s. For decades, the factory served as the lifeblood of the community until his grandfather sold the business to a Chicago corporation. The sale cost the town its independence—and the Marshalls their family ties. A horse farmer, Mike was never involved with his grandfather’s company, but still felt Fraser Hills lost part of its identity. And as a widower raising a teenage daughter, he’s suffered enough losses in one lifetime. News of the factory’s closing means losing another piece of the town’s legacy.

Far from the skyscrapers and rapid pace of the city, Vanessa finds herself enjoying the easygoing rhythms of rural living. With Mike as her guide, she learns to appreciate the simple pleasures found in shared holiday festivities among friends. Fraser Hills is a town she is growing to love—and Mike is someone she is falling in love with. Now all Vanessa needs is a Christmas miracle to give her newfound friends and home a gift they’ll cherish for many New Years to come.

My thoughts on the book:

If you need a book to put you in the mood for Christmas grab this one. This is not necessarily about love but about finding family, finding where you belong and finding yourself all while helping a small town grow. Vanessa was ready to tackle her dreams and be able to buy the house of her dreams but having a wrench thrown in she tackles that head on too. I loved her fighting spirit and how she did not have a hard heart after all she faced. Mike was one person that he seemed quick to judge with out knowing all the facts which sometimes was annoying, but the more you get to know him the more you understand him, I loved the animals in the story and how the author had a way of making their personality’s shine off the pages. I loved Misty and her heart of Gold she truly was such a huge wonderful part of this story. Anna was also a big favorite of mine she too was just a breath of fresh air while reading this book. Over all this book was a clean read and will totally put you in the mood for the upcoming holidays. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

All Mallory wants is to give the boys a magical holiday. She doesn't need the distraction of wondering what it would be like to kiss Gabriel under the mistletoe.
After his wife died, Gabriel left his job as an adrenaline-chasing New York City homicide detective to focus on raising his three sons. But back in Highland Falls, he doesn't have to go looking for trouble. It finds him -- in the form of a beautiful neighbor and her troublemaking stepchildren. With Gabriel's mother-in-law looking for any excuse to gain custody of his sons, Gabriel can't risk getting involved with Mallory, even though she's the only woman capable of making this Christmas -- and all the rest to come -- his best ever.

My thoughts on the book:

I thought this was a really cute story, it will totally put you in the mood for the holidays that's for sure. With everything that's going on in the world right now this book was like a breathe of fresh air for sure. I loved Teddy omg what a huge personality that just shined off the pages and it was really hard not to just fall in love with him, Christmas through the eyes of a child. I loved Mallory she was a saint and just kept fighting for what she believed in. I really was not a huge fan of Gabriel he just was a bit of a jerk to me and I felt like Mallory just deserved better. There is talk of adult situations but never detailed. Overall this was a fun read and I could not put it down. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

“Laura Trentham creates a romance that is both extremely sensual and phenomenal.”
Fresh Fiction

My thoughts on the book:

I liked that characters in this book, I liked Holt he was just this good guy with a good heart and was willing to help Claire even when she didn't want it. Claire she was running from a future she wasn't she she wanted but the was also not use to letting people close so she came off as a bit of a witch. She however would not stop at anything to help Mrs. Meadows. I liked Mrs. Meadows she was a pistol. There was adult situations in this book, over all was a super fun read and was super enjoyable. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Cowboy Tough Michelle Beattie

 Description:

There’s no such thing as a coincidence...

Ryker Granger can’t believe his luck when he meets a beautiful woman stranded on the side of the road outside of Last Stand, Texas. Normally this rancher and part-time mechanic would be too reserved to jump into a relationship, especially since his family is still reeling from questions surrounding their father’s heart attack. But his life’s a tangled mess and Shannon is a welcome distraction.

Shannon Smith set out to meet Ryker Granger. Her staged car breakdown was only the beginning of her plan. Meeting Ryker is her chance to right the wrongs his father inflicted on her family. Her plan skews wildly off course—she only meant to score a date, not fall in love. And Ryker’s a straight arrow; he’ll never forgive such blatant deception. But how can she walk away from the man who has claimed her heart?

As Ryker solves the mystery around his father and learns why Shannon came to Last Stand, he faces his toughest choice yet. Forgive a lie or lose the woman he loves forever?

My thoughts on the book:

I liked the story over all. I liked Shannon and how her heart was in the right place and how she wanted what was best for her sister, niece and her family. I loved how she went after what she wanted and also dealt with the consequences of those choices. Ryker also had a heart for his family and wanted to help bring his family or at least his brothers back together. What I was not a fan of was I felt like the author repeated herself a lot for the majority of the book. This book does have adult situations and strong language in it. Over all I would say the story does get to your heart and it was a good read. I would love to read Hudson’s story and find out what happens next with him. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

 Description:

Jason Fox is dedicated to his veterinarian practice and raising funds to make his dream animal shelter a reality. When he’s sidelined by an injury, he takes a break and returns home to Cupid’s Corner. But from the moment he sees Becca, everything's different. She’s no longer the young girl he picked apples and pumpkins with—she’s a self-reliant, beautiful woman.

Jason helps Becca with the festival, but the more time they spend together the harder it is to ignore the sparks. Can leaving the friend zone end in love or will it ruin everything?

My thoughts on the book:

I loved these characters and the fact that the author included dogs as a big part of the story was just the cherry on top. While the story was somewhat predictable it was also very refreshing. I loved Mr and Mrs. Valentine what a sweet couple they were hard not to love. I did not read the other books in the series so I can't tell you if there was any follow up on other characters. I like Stacy she jumped on the pages and seem to be a great sister and didn't take much from Jason she didn't give back. I liked that the author kept this book a clean read so that it would be suitable for all. Overall this book was a quick read and I really enjoyed it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Description:

She’s not willing to forgive. He’s unable to forget.

One year ago, Montana cowboy Dylan McLean left the love of his life at the altar and fled town, thinking he was doing the right thing by saving her from a scandal. He’s found success on the rodeo circuit, but his love for Cathleen never faded. Now he’s returned home to clear his name, claim his bride and rebuild his legacy.

Bed-and-breakfast owner Cathleen Shannon has moved on from her broken heart. That is, until Dylan shows up at her house one night asking for help and a second chance. Despite Dylan’s betrayal, she promises to assist with his investigation. She doesn’t want an innocent man to go to jail, but her heart is most definitely off limits.

But Cathleen has forgotten one important fact: Dylan is relentless when he’s going after something he wants. He walked away once, but she won’t let that happen again.

My thoughts on the book:

I really like this author you never know where she is going to take a story and that was the same case with this book. This book was a tough book for sure it dealt with domestic violence which is something it seems most people don’t want to talk about it and this author held nothing back. This book was so good. I will be honest I wanted to smack Dylan in the head so many times through out this book. He was so cocky, but in the next breathe I wanted to give him a hug because the stuff he dealt with. Oh my did I like Cathleen and Poppy, they were hands down my favorite. Cathleen was a fighter and a strong girl who was ready to fight for what she wanted. Poppy man I want to know more of her story and she was a sweet women who was ready be a mama to Cathleen and anyone who came into the B and B. Over all this book was such a fun read and I can’t wait to read more from these sisters. I am so ready to hear what happens with Maureen. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Home for the Holidays Sara Richardson

 Description:

"Sara Richardson writes unputdownable, unforgettable stories from the heart" in this emotional holiday novel, where three sisters have one last Christmas to confront their pasts before their lives change forever (Jill Shalvis, New York Times bestselling author).
The Buchanan sisters all share special childhood memories of their Aunt Sassy's beloved Juniper Inn. There, they frolicked in the snow, baked sugar cookies, and celebrated the town's annual Christmas extravaganza. They haven't been back to Colorado in nearly fifteen years, but when their aunt invites them for one last Christmas, they can't say no . . .
With her ex-husband whisking her children away for the holiday, Dahlia decides it's time to do something for herself. Juniper Springs is just as beautiful as she remembers, but it's also full of surprises -- including the town's handsome doctor, who makes her feel like herself again for the first time in years.
To the outside world, baker Magnolia has the ideal marriage. Only the pain and sorrow of infertility have strained her relationship with her husband, perhaps beyond repair. But a holiday miracle is about to change her life.
After a whirlwind romance, youngest sister Rose is about to be married, but as the wedding draws near, she's unsettled by her fiancé's expectations that she become a society wife. Spending Christmas with her family could be a necessary reality check -- or the beginning of a brand-new happily ever after.
Thanks to the strength of their sisterhood, some mistletoe, and the love of their Aunt Sassy, the Buchanan sisters will discover what it is they truly want this Christmas.

My thoughts on the book:
WOW!!!  That was my reaction to this book. I feel in love with the cover and always have enjoyed this author so I dug in blinding have not a clue what the book was about. I so enjoyed it. I love the closeness of the sisters. I love Sassy, oh my what a pistol she is. I also liked how the author didn't even try and sugar coat any of the sisters lives, because of this the sisters felt like I was catching up with friends. The sisterhood in this book will make you long for that if you don't have it and will make you appreciate it even more if you do have it. This book is not necessarily about one love story but family the most important thing ever. I loved that the author kept this story a good clean read and it will put you in the mood for Christmas that's forsake. Seriously you can not go wrong with this book. I am not sure if the author plans a follow up in the future but I am ready for more from these three. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

Montana Wishes Amy Vastine

 Description:

Caught between friendship

and falling in love…

Amanda Harrison’s life is changing way too fast. Discovering that she’s really one of the Montana Blackwells was hard enough. Now Blake Collins—her best friend and the guy Amanda’s secretly in love with—is engaged to someone else. But Montana cowboy country has a way of claiming its own. And being a Blackwell means Amanda must learn how to fight for herself…and for the love she deserves.

USA TODAY Bestselling Author

My thoughts on the book:

I have to say this book was hands down a tough book emotionally for me to read, and I just could not put it down. If any women has ever struggled with infertile you can relate to Amanda for sure. This author held nothing back and didn't even try and sugar coat Amanda's struggles. Blake was the biggest goofball it seemed but he also had a heart of gold. He wanted what he wanted and would stop at nothing to get it, well until a wrench was thrown in and then he starts to question a ton. I love these sisters and I love how the Blackwells welcome them into the family. I will be honest there was one part in the book where I wanted to smack Ben but you need to read to find out why. I also loved catching up with Connor and Lily from Montana Welcome. I can not wait to read more about these 5 sisters in the coming books. This book is a good clean read and was well worth it.... ps grab some tissues you will need them.  I received a complimentary copy of this book. Book One: One Little Lie
Book Two: Two Reasons to Run

My thoughts on the book:

I did not read the first book in the series, while I feel like I missed something and plan on reading it next the author did catch a reader up to date in this book. I could not put the book down the author keeps you on the edge of your seat from page one, when you think you know who did it, the author those a twist and takes you down a whole other path. I loved Will he was a strong headed kid with a big heart. Jane has a broken spirit but when it comes to Will she will stop at nothing to protect him, even if that means setting aside her feelings for Reid. I did not like the end of the book because it leaves you hanging and I want to know what happens. Otherwise this book was amazing and is a clean read.
