Crossing the Friend Zone Kelly Eadon- Belmont Beach brides book #3

Description:

SHE PLANNED FOR EVERYTHING-EXCEPT HIM.

Fresh off a painful break-up, wedding planner Ainsley Slone is suffering from an acute case of "always the planner, never the bride." And she's over it. It's time for a break-to figure out how to let everything go and just have a little sexy fun. And she knows the perfect person to teach her how: irresistible manwhore Ryan Lawhill.

Their deal? No sex, just fun. It's the perfect plan--until the chemistry between them starts sparking like crazy. Ryan knows all too well that Ainsley's looking for a happily-ever-after, but he's always been keep-it-fun-or-it's-done. Yet the moment they cross The Friend Zone, all bets are off-and soon the ultimate player is the one playing for keeps.

My thoughts on the book:

Ainsley is dealing with a broken heart and now she needs to face her friends and family at her best friends engagement party and she's glad to face it with her good friends. When Ryan challenges her she takes in on in hopes to also change him a little too and they both set the same rules not falling in love and no sex, just plain fun. Ryan is not a family or relationship kind of guys he likes to have fun and no connections at all to any women. He is set to show Ainsley how to have fun, relax and live in the moment. Will they both be able to walk away with their hearts in tack?
What fun book the emotions are all over the place through out. The friendship between the female  characters seem more like siblings they just were there for each other no matter what. I did not read all the books in the series but I loved the two I read and want to go back and read the other. I really enjoyed the way that the author had both characters in the book struggle and it was not about who was the hero but how each came together. This book has strong language through out and does have some adult scenes so it may not be for everyone. Overall I did find it hard to put down I want to find what twist the author was going to through out next.

Description:

A cowgirl at heart, Skye Martinez has a rebellious streak she's determined to shake. Especially since she's poised to take the reins of her family's business at Briscoe Ranch Resort. It's time for her to settle down and get serious about her future...right after one last night of fun with a handsome stranger she meets in the resort's stable. But when a midnight horseback ride turns into a red-hot weekend with one of country music's biggest stars, Skye's world is rocked beyond her wildest dreams...

Gentry Wells rode his bad boy image all the way to the top of the country music charts. But churning out hits has dried up his creativity, and he can't remember the last time his life was his own. Skye is a sexy distraction he can't resist, especially since she breathes new life into his music. They bring out the wild side in each other, which is great for Gentry's career--but a major threat to Skye's. Too bad he's fallen in love with her. With their hearts and futures on the line, can Gentry convince Skye to turn their joyride into a real chance to ride off into the sunset together?

ONE AND ONLY TEXAS SERIES Order:
The Mistletoe Effect (Holiday Novella Prequel)
Book One: One Hot Summer
Book Two: One More Taste
If Santa Were A Cowboy (Holiday Novella)
Book Three: One Wild Night (coming March 2017)

My thoughts on the book:
Skye is a wild child at heart and would love nothing more then to find the "right guy." But it seems that what she thinks she wants and what she may really want are so far off that when she gets a chance at one wild night she begins to question everything. She also wonders is the spell her mom put on her is more of a curse then something to help her in her search for love. Gentry is happy with his life the way things are, all expect the fact he can't for the life of him write a song and he has a month to write a whole cd. When he meets Skye at a wedding he spends 5 minutes with her and he knows he needs to get to know "more" of her. Will they both be able to figure out what they want or will it be to late for one or both of them?
I will first start off by saying I have not read any of the other books in the series and it was still fun to catch up with all the characters. I really enjoyed Mama Lita and Grandma June in the story, they seemed to add a huge element to the book and their antics will keep you laughing through out the whole book. I felt like at the beginning of the book it started off all over the place and kind of thrown off at first, then the storyline quickly grabs your attention and sucks you in. There where a ton of heartfelt moments through out the book, as well as some super steamy, simmering hot moments as well. This book has a ton of strong language and strong adult scenes through out so this book may not be for everyone. I can't wait to read more for this series of books such a fun read and had a hard time putting it down, so worth the read.

Home at Last Lily Everett- Sanctuary Island series Book #6

Description:
Home is where the heart is…
In Lily Everett's Home at Last, Marcus Beckett left Sanctuary Island after his mother’s funeral, and he hasn’t been back since. Until now. Needing a change from the high-risk, high-stakes life of a bodyguard, Marcus makes a solitary life for himself running the neighborhood bar in his hometown. His only mistake? Seducing and then dumping the town’s sweetheart, Quinn Harper. Marcus knows he did the right thing―a good girl like Quinn has no business with a broken man like him. But now no one will come to his bar, and he’s watching his last chance at a peaceful life go up in smoke. So when Quinn proposes a fake four-week courtship, he can’t refuse…even though he knows it’s a bad idea.
It’s a romantic charade that will buy Quinn time to distract her mother and father from their own marital problems―and will help Marcus welcome back some paying customers besides. But what begins as an engagement of convenience slowly transforms into a deeper connection, one that heals both of their hearts. . .and ignites the simmering passion between them. Could it be that pretending to be together is just what Quinn and Marcus needed to give their real love a second chance?

My thoughts on the book:

Quinn is not happy with Marcus but she has loved him her whole life and she wished she can convince him that she worth the risk. When things seem array in her parents life she comes up with a plan and she hopes its a fool proof plan, nothing can go wrong right?
Marcus wants Quinn but with the age difference and with his own secrets he would like to keep close to his chest. He thinks she deserves better but when she comes up with a plan to help her parents he wants help her. But will he be able to keep everyones heart in tact and walk away with his pride?

I love the fun characters of Sanctuary Island the one thing the author is consistent about in all the books is she sucks you in and make you want to get on the next plane and visit just to walk down the streets and meet these fun people and that is the same throughout this book. This book is fun it has you laughing and crying and guessing through out the whole book. The story truly is well written and it wont disappoint. The story has some strong language and some adult scenes in it so it may not be for all readers. Over all if you have been following this series or not grab this book its so worth the read.

The Silver Bay series
Book 1: Return to Silver Bay
Book 2: Loving Kate

My thoughts on the book:

I have feel in love with this series and these characters. I want so much more from this fun town of Silver Bay. I hope this is not the end but I have a feeling this was the last book. I will say this book will not disappoint the book seems so short and sweet a total page turner. I could not put this book down the story line is well written and continues to suck you in with every page. The Texas Rancher’s Twin Allie Pleiter- Lone Star Cowboy League: Boys Ranch series

Description:

Double Trouble
Rancher Gabe Everett will do whatever it takes to keep Avery Culpepper in Texas until the end of the month. Even if it means inviting the beautiful single mom and her mischievous twin girls to stay on his property. Avery holds the key to saving Haven's boys ranch, but Gabe won't let his interest go beyond business. He's not a family man, and Avery needs someone who will be there for her and her daughters. Yet as the girls overrun his orderly ranch with their tea parties and girlie cuteness, Gabe finds himself softening just a little. Could a family to love be exactly what this solitary rancher needs?

My thoughts on the book:
Gabe needs to save the boys ranch, he has a set of rules left behind and he is not happy about it. But when three girls step into his life its pink everywhere and it seems to put him back a few steps on finding and completing everything that needs to be done. Avery is asked to come and complete the request of her grandfather and she is not happy about it and this is the last thing she wants to do. She needs to get back to her life in Tennessee with her girls but it seems that everyone wants something from her. Will she be able to figure out whats needed of her and help Gabe get what he needs?
This book was super sweet love story. The book draws you in and keeps you drawn in through out the whole book. The storyline was super fun to follow even though this book is part of a series the book and story was super easy to follow and catch up with however the author did a good job at wanting to go back and read the other books in the series. The book is a good clean romance and is suitable for all readers. I really enjoyed the fun characters in this story and the two little girls in the story added a fun element to the story i found myself laughing at their antics when there where some intense situations the author wrote in there crazy antics and made the book so much fun to read. If you are looking for a quick read thats a super fun read this book is so worth the read.

Hometown Cowboy Sara Richardson, Rocky Mountain Riders #1

Description:
NEVER FALL IN LOVE WITH A COWBOY

Jessa Mae Love is done with relationships. No matter how tempting he might be, she cannot--will not--fall for a man like Lance Cortez. The outrageously handsome cowboy is practically a living legend in Colorado, as famous for riding bulls as he is for breaking hearts. What would a big-time rodeo star like him see in a small-town veterinarian who wears glasses, rescues animals, and cries when watching rom-coms? Turns out, plenty.

Raising bulls, riding the circuit, and looking after his ailing father--Lance never stands still for long. Yet Jessa catches his attention, and the more she tries to resist him, the more he wants her. When she agrees to move to the ranch to keep an eye on Lance's dad, Jessa tells him they have to keep it professional: no flirting, no sweet talk, and definitely no kissing. But with Jessa now living under his roof, that's easier said than done . . .

My thoughts on the book:

Jessa is looking or rather not looking for love. She really needs to focus on her self and getting her dads legacy off the ground and continue to help those in need. When she is asked to help with her dads best friend she sees he may need more help then she might be able to give. Lance has his heart and his mind set on going to worlds. Things he doesn't have time for drama from his brothers, women and anything else that takes away from worlds. When things seem to working against him and his dad goes missing he needs to figure out whats important.
What a fun book with fun characters. Right off the back you can see the quirkiness of the characters. The story is fun there are a few twist and turns in along the way. I tended to have a love hate relationship with Lance, he seemed selfish and annoying and then he seemed to show some compassion. I really liked Jessa and her clan of friends they are the type of friends you just love to have no matter what. This book is geared to adults it has strong language through out. I felt that in some place the language was not always need but just a way to fill in. The book over all was a fun read but I did struggle with it keep my attention the whole time. I will say this I am anxious to find out what happens next with the brothers and with Luis.

Starlight Bridge Debbie Mason Harmony Harbor Series book #2

Description:
A second chance for romance...

Hidden in Graystone Manor is a book containing all the dark secrets of Harmony Harbor, and Ava DiRossi is determined to find it. No one-especially not her ex-husband, Griffin Gallagher-can ever discover what really tore her life apart all those years ago. With Griffin back in town, it's more important than ever that she find the book before someone else does. Because her ex is still angry with her for leaving him. And he still has no idea Ava never stopped loving him...

Ava is no longer the vibrant, happy woman Griffin had once loved and married, and he would do anything to bring back the sparkle to her brilliant green eyes. But what's never changed are the sexy sparks of attraction between Ava and Griffin, and he won't give her up again without a fight. He knows there's the real possibility of a future together... if the truth doesn't burn the bridge between them forever.

My thoughts on the book:

Griffin is called back home to help fix up the inn he wants nothing to do with he sees there is a lot more to just fixing up the inn and he still believes they all would be better off fixing it up. He also keeps running into his ex-wife and memories he would rather leave in the past and move on with his life. When he discovers a secret he is not happy and he doesn't know it he should fix it to let it go.
Ava has a huge secret from her past she would rather leave there but she also has some secrets in her life today she would rather keep private to and it seems that the secrets are all becoming to much to handle. When she is faced dealing with her ex husband, his ex wife and trying to help save the inn people start to wonder more about the secrets she hiding. Will she be able to continue to protect everyone and her heart?
What a fun book. I remember reading the first book and this book was just a fun. Some of the characters are off the charts but they add perfect to the story. If your like me You have a love hate relationship with Lexi and Jasper. I love the huge part they played in this book but I also loved Colleen and a few other characters. There is some language but its very mild other wise this book is a super fun read. I had a hard time putting this book down it truly sucks you in and before you know it your half way through, it has some twist and turns and its over all fun.

Loving Kate Lara Van Hulzen Book #2

Description:
Kate MacIntire is determined to live life on her own terms. No muss, no fuss. But when motorcycle riding, free spirit Jack Harden enters the picture, she has no choice but to reconsider.
Moving from Boston to the charming town of Silver Bay, California was supposed to be Kate's fresh start from a painful past relationship, and she's happy with the life she’s building for herself. Order and structure, just the way her somewhat-control-freak self likes it. Until Jack.
Never one to turn down an adventure or a challenge, Jack wants nothing more than to see Kate let loose and embrace the carefree woman she used to be.
But when her past catches up with them, can loving Kate be enough for Jack to break through the walls she’s built to protect herself?

The Silver Bay series
Book 1: Return to Silver Bay
Book 2: Loving Kate
Book 3: Saving Drew

My thoughts on the book:

Kate is dealing with thing in her past that feels like it keeps pulling her in and pulling her down. When things go a miss she is left trying to pick up the peaces and wondering why everyone want to help her. Can she find it in her heart to trust again? Jack is back home and is loving living back in the small town of Silver bay, and when his sisters in laws, sister grabs his attention he sets out to show that she's amazing, beautiful and he needs her in her life. Will he be able to convince her or will her past continue to haunt her and destroy his chances?
So I grew up in a small town in southern California and the charming town of Silver Bay remind me so much of the small area I grew up in. I love how in this town when things go wrong everyone comes together and helps each other out. I love how in this story nothing was off limits with what was going on in Kate's past and I love how the author made each one of the characters feel like you could be friends with them and you could relate to them. I loved how in each book so far the author introduces a new character that you just want to know more about their story, I can't wait for more. In each book the author does end the story summing up everything how ever I was left wanting to much more the storyline was just that great. I loved how the author kept the story mostly clean and fun. This book is really amazing and if you are looking for a book thats a real pager turn that sucks you in and has you literally leaves you wanting more then grab this book and have fun.

Home At Last Deborah Raney- A Chicory Inn Series book #5

Description:
Link Whitman has settled into the role of bachelor without ever intending to. Now he’s stuck in a dead-end job and, as the next Whitman wedding fast approaches, he is the last one standing. The pressure from his sisters’ efforts to play matchmaker is getting hard to bear as Link
pulls extra shifts at work, and helps his parents at the Chicory Inn.

All her life, Shayla Michaels has felt as if she straddled two worlds. Her mother's white family labeled her African American father with names Shayla didn't repeat in polite––well, in any company. Her father’s family disapproved as well, though they eventually embraced Shayla as
their own. After the death of her mother, and her brother Jerry’s incarceration, life has left Shayla's father bitter, her niece, Portia, an orphan, and Shayla responsible for them all. She knows God loves them all, but why couldn't people accept each other for what was on the inside? For their hearts?

Everything changes one icy morning when a child runs into the street and Link nearly hits her with his pickup. Soon he is falling in love with the little girl’s aunt, Shayla, the beautiful woman who runs Coffee’s On, the bakery in Langhorne. Can Shayla and Link overcome society’s view
of their differences and find true love? Is there hope of changing the sometimes-ugly world around them into something better for them all?

My thoughts on the book:
Link feels like a fish out of water with yet another Whitman wedding in the works. When he is working with the homeless shelter he meets the girl who feels like she could be the one but she doesn't check everything off his "list", however in a twist of fate it seems to have gotten off on the wrong foot now he needs to convince her they are meant to be together for ever. Will someone try and stop them and will it work? Shayla has a lot on her plate, taking care of her dad, her niece and the bakery but when Link drops into her life she knows this can't be a good choice. She needs to focus on her niece and the bakery however it seems everyone else has plans for her and it seems that someone has it out for her. Can she protect her niece and her heart or will this all end in disaster?
This storyline was pretty good I enjoyed the added suspense to the book, even though it wasn't a lot it kept your interest through out just wanting to know what happens. The story has some really tough subjects that are brought up through out, I kind of felt it was a little to much at some points. This book is a good clean read which was super nice and made the book enjoyable. This book is part of a series however I did not feel like I missed anything by not reading the other books before, however it hints at some things from pervious books that make me want to go and follow up with the story.

He Has Her Heart by Cynthia Marcano Spring Love Series book #3

Description:

Dream Collins has always lived in a world all her own, never afraid to grab it by the horns. In fact, life's been smooth sailing for most of her charmed life. Her only unconquered feat is winning over her future husband, and best friend's brother, Max Davidson, the stubborn man she has pined for since high school.

When life throws her a myriad of life-changing curveballs, can she depend on the God she has loved all her life to sort out the mess and deliver her promised future of love and happiness?

With his newfound wealth, Max Davidson is ready to leave bachelorhood behind, settle down with a woman he can be proud of, and begin a family. If his father's early death is any indicator, life is too short to waste, and he has not a minute to lose.

Now if he could only re-train his uncooperative heart to release the hold it has on the eccentric Dream Collins, the most unsuitable wife he could imagine, he could focus on building a life and legacy that his father would be proud of. Will God bless his well thought out future?

My thoughts on the book:

Dream is as stubborn and set in her ways and has no problem telling people how it really is. She knows what she wants or more or less who she wants she just need to convince him that they are a match made in heaven. Max is home in New Jersey and is glad to be back among his friends and family. He has a constant pain in his side by the name of Dream. He has convinced himself that if he loathes her enough and keeps her at arms lengths then he can put his past feelings for her in the past and they can move on. When life seems to be handing Dream a series of lemons she needs to decide to either to make lemonade or throw them back at people but in the end can she survive?
This book at first started off a little all over the place in the beginning, however that quickly changed. The storyline grabs your attention and you start want to turn the pages just to see what is going to happen next. The story had a funny turn to it with Dream being kind of out there and all over the place, but she has this personality that shined on the pages where you really liked her and connected with her. Max was someone who wanted to love to hate. This story is a good clean romance will guarantee laughs and a completely enjoyable read.

The Silver Bay series
Book 1: Return to Silver Bay
Book 2: Loving Kate
Book 3: Saving Drew

My thoughts on the book:
Maggie has come home for a short time to lay her dad to rest and close up her parents house and make a choice on where to go next. She is also facing her high school sweetheart and it seems that everything in her world has been turned upside down and secrets aren't always best hidden. Josh is so happy to see Maggie, when she walked out of his life all those years ago he feels like he lost something now that she's back he has it in his heart and in his mind to win her back.
I fell in love with this book and these characters right away what a fun group. I really enjoyed reading the struggles and how the friends came together to work with each other. I loved how the storyline was easy to follow and draws you in and keeps your attention all the way to the end. This book is for sure a real page turner. But will passion alone be enough to convince Tessa that her new life should include a second chance at happiness with a man who must learn to believe in love?

Fall in love with Close to Home by Lily Everett!

My thoughts on the book:

Tessa is married to an amazing man, someone who saved her from a past that was not all the great. She is not set off on her own because he can't seem to love her the way she craves and she hopes to find the independence she craves when she find what feel like home in Sanctuary island. Johnny come home from a hell of a two year undercover operation, he knew if he could just get home and to his wife life would be right again. However she has gone and now he sets off to convince her he needs her to come home, but when he arrives on Sanctuary Island he's in for a surprise of his own and now he doesn't know what to do from here. Can he win her love and convince her there marriage was something beyond name or will it be to late?
I was so excited to get my hands on this book, I have fallen in love with Sanctuary Island and the fun characters there. This story was no different I loved this fun group of characters and I can not wait to read Marcus' story next. I loved how in this story from beginning to the end the storyline grabs your attention and keeps you all the way through. I love how the author throws in a twist just when you think you have it all figured out or you think whats going to happen next. I also really enjoyed the small element of suspense in the book it just seem to tie everything together. I also really enjoyed how she kept the characters relatable. The book does have some adult scenarios and may not be enjoyable for all readers. I will say this if you have or have not been following this series grab this book its so worth the read and you wont regret it.

Addison Turner has scripted a perfect future for herself, complete with a fairytale ending. She will become the name in doggie fashion design and live happily ever after with the husband of her dreams--and her dachshund, Princess, by her side. Just when her plan is on track and she's gaining recognition at the local dog show, Addison is hit with some Oscar-worthy drama. A group of prize-winning show dogs are stolen from under her nose, and she's stuck asking for help from Felix Vaughn, an infuriatingly hot bartender who is the exact opposite of Prince Charming.
When more dogs go missing--and Felix becomes a suspect--the two team up to clear their names. Although Felix and Addison fight like cats and dogs, there's an undeniable spark between them. And as the trail to the missing dogs heats up, so does their red-hot chemistry. Can Addison be persuaded to throw away her script to find an ending that just might be better than she ever expected?
"A lively romantic mystery...Paws down, one of the funniest books I've read in a long time." — bestselling author Diane Kelly on Must Love Wieners
Don't miss the hilarious Beauty and the Wiener, a Rescue Dog Romance book by Casey Griffin!

My thoughts on the book:
Addison is trying to make a name for her own so she offers her services to the upcoming dog show. The know all who wants to be all is going to be there so she knows this could be good for her business and her dog line. When things go a miss she now knows she need to prove herself and a business is worth of the dogs, but can she do it in time?Felix is just trying to make a living and make ends meet. He is looking out for "number one" and will stop at nothing to do it. When he is thrown into a hot mess with the dogs and he will stop at nothing to prove he is innocent, but will it all be to late?
I really enjoyed this book what a fun read. This book is full of fun characters and has a ton of innuendoes for sure. I really wish the book would have been from both points of view from Felix and from Addison, however that being said having if from only on person point of view you are not missing much. I loved the storyline and how easy it was to follow and keep up and I also enjoyed the banter back and forth with the two main characters. I loved how there was element of suspense added to the book but it really did not come off as a suspense book. This book does has adult content and may not be for everyone. This book is worth the read and if you love sassy dogs and some crazy owners grab this book you won't regret it.
