Only a Cowboy Will Do AJ Pine

Description:

A small-town woman is swept off her feet by a caring stranger in this charming western romance from a "fabulous storyteller" (Carolyn Brown, New York Times bestselling author).

Forty candles, and one for luck. Jenna Owens wants one thing for her birthday this year: a fairy-tale ending of her own and a little relaxation at a quaint California ranch. What she didn’t want was to get caught in a storm on her way to Meadow Valley. Or to get stuck with a ridiculously hot, too-charming-for-his-own-good cowboy—one who makes Jenna reconsider her “I don't date younger guys” rule. But a little vacation flirtation might be just what she needs.

Colt Morgan isn’t interested in long-term relationships. Not since his last one crashed and burned after his fiancĂ©e found out he wanted a big family. So when he learns that Jenna has a list of items to accomplish on her trip—including having fling—Colt is all too happy to oblige. Yet the more he and Jenna get to know each other, the more Colt starts to wonder if maybe they have a chance at a real future. But when Jenna’s past upends everything Colt thought he wanted, are all bets off? Or will they find a way to make both their dreams come true?

Includes the bonus novella Sealed with a Kiss by Melinda Curtis!

My Review:
So the storyline was cute. If you can relate in any kind of loss or infertility then this will also be a little emotional as well. Overall it was a cute story, two broken people searching for their place to belong in this world. However I did feel that Colt had this constant guard up throughout the whole book and that the author almost seemed too hard to play it down. In some parts I just found it annoying. If I am to be honest I guess that was the case for Jenna as well but she seemed more free spirit and open then he did, she more or less wore her heart on her sleeve, which made her more relatable. There is sexual content throughout so it may not be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

But when her meddling aunt’s first choice of a husband for her turns out to be Emma’s last choice—Pine Creek’s most notorious bachelor—Emma grows desperate. Her aunt won’t listen, no matter how much she tries to tell her the man in no way embodies the Amish values of faith or hard work.

Kind and industrious Levi Bontrager has always wanted to protect his best friend Emma, even after a secret from their youth left them growing apart. Which is why he steps in to claim that Emma cannot wed anyone else, as she is currently courting him. Yes, the small lie leaves him feeling guilty, but Levi’s hope is that if he can win back the beautiful Emma’s trust, he can also win over her heart...for real.

But can a courtship that began just for show ever blossom into a true romance that could save both their futures?

My Review:
This was a cute love story. I did however find that sometimes the story dragged a little. The book is predictable but the story overall was fun to read. I feel like when you read an Amish story be prepared to have lots of food talked about, this story is very much the same. It will either leave you hungry or your mouth watering. I loved Sadie and Ezekiel; they just seemed to have a goodness about them among all the loss in their lives. I loved Amelia and I hope that one day there is a follow up story for her. She just seems like a kindred spirit. I liked how the author did keep this a clean read and I find it suitable for all. I would say overall this book is worth the read! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Can two people with one foot out the door settle down for love?

My Review:
What I like reading about Marietta is it feels like you're going home again. It feels like you are catching up with friends and I feel that very much in this book. I mean who doesn’t love a good cowboy love story right. I liked Wes but he seemed so lost that I kind of felt bad for him. Molly was such a breath of fresh air and so jolly, I will say at first I thought of her as a high maintenance princess and thought oh my she’s not going to be an annoying character is she. Newsflash she’s not, she's so kind and you can see she truly just wants to help those she loves! This book does have sexual content in it so it may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

But when she wakes up in the hospital, she remembers neither the attack nor ever being married to Mack. And when a second attempt to take her life is made, it's clear something very sinister is going on, and Mack and Addison are in for the ride of their lives.

My thoughts on the book:

Y'all the Red team is back!!!This book did not disappoint I really like that the team is back and fighting for the good of the US. I loved Addy she was a fighter and no matter what she faced she did it with gumption and head on, never taking her own safety into thought just wanting to protect those she cares for. I liked Mack but my heart also broke for him I could never imagine loving someone so much to have to let them "go" and not having them love you back even for a short time. Mack faced so much but he also was a fighter and he was a leader that everyone seem to respect. I don't think there was a character of the good guys that I didn't like this in book, it was nice to catch up with Sean, Kiley and Cam. I liked Harris she was a tough person but got the job done. I really hope this is not the last of this series and there is more to come. I just can't seem to get enough. I liked that author kept this book clean and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Join bestselling and award-winning author Elizabeth Goddard as she plunges you into a web of deceit made of hidden crimes, open threats, and long-buried family secrets in this gripping first book of an explosive new series.

My thoughts on the book:

This author did not disappoint. I mean this book keeps you on the edge of your seat from the beginning to the end. In books like this I like to guess right off the bat who did it, but in book the author keeps you guessing, just when you think you have it all figured out she throws a curveball. I really liked Terra. She was a fighter and she dealt with loss, but seemed like she was willing to keep fighting for what was right. Jack was a bit of a mystery for me at first but I liked him to he just had some healing he need to find in the middle of a murder investigation. I could not put this book down, have me up late and I don’t regret it one bit. This book is a clean read and well worth every bit. I can't wait to see where the author takes us next in this series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

But when her house goes up in flames, so do her entrepreneurial dreams. The only good thing to come of it? Being rescued by the hottest cowboy around, Jace Paxton.

But he needs the bar and grill as much as she does. And while he's a formidable competitor...she's not. How can he take away her dream and future? How could she love him if he did?

My thoughts on the book:

I love me a good quick read and this book was totally that. I have really enjoyed this series of books and this one really didn't disappoint either. I really liked Shandi the girl was stubborn as they come but fiercely independent and willing to help anyone. Jace was a good ol' cowboy raise right but would stop at nothing to take care of his ranch and his family. These two together just know they are a fun read. I really hope that this is not the end of these characters and there is more to come. In conclusion I would totally recommend this book its fun, clean read with some adventure thrown in. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Includes the bonus novella It's All About that Cowboy by Carly Bloom!

My thoughts on the book:

When I first started this book it felt like I had read it before, which yes I know its new so that's impossible. However after a few pages in, that change and the author did a really great job of taking you on an emotional journey through Thea and Wes' life. I really like both characters equally. I feel like when an author makes the characters relatable and feel like friends you know you are in for a book that will keep your attention. I think one of my favorite lines in the book is "He Lived to spend time with his family." I feel this sums up the book and it shows how powerful a choice can be when you make it. This is some sexual content in this book, Over all I would read this one again it was emotional, but also found myself laughing too. Friendship is the key in the book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

WISHING FOR A COWBOY Victoria James

Description:
From New York Times bestselling author Victoria James comes a heartwarming love story about family, forgiveness, and the true meaning of "home."

Janie Adams has been a single parent to her nephew since he was a baby. Fifteen years later, she’s finally found out who his father might be, so the two of them travel across the country to find him. She’d do anything for this kid. But when they arrive in the small town of Wishing River, Montana, and Janie finally meets the ruggedly handsome cowboy she’d been told had abandoned his son, his shocked response changes everything.

Aiden Rivers can’t dispute this is his kid when he sees his own features staring back at him, but he had no idea Janie’s sister was pregnant when she left him. He didn’t even know she had a sister—clearly they’d all been lied to. Now he has fifteen years of fatherhood to make up for and no idea how to be a dad. This was never in his plans.

Janie sticks around to help him ease into parenting, everything from showing him how to lure a sulky kid out of his bedroom to keeping up with the latest teen-speak. Together, they surprisingly make a good team, this city girl and country boy. But when the past catches up with them, Aiden and Janie must decide what’s best for the boy who's connecting them, not only for each other…which could mean splitting them apart.

Each book in the Wishing River series is STANDALONE:
* The Trouble with Cowboys
* Cowboy for Hire
* Wishing For A Cowboy

My thoughts on the book:

This author never seems to disappoint and gets right to the heart of the matter. I feel like with this book and this series the characters feel completely relatable. I really like Janie she was a fighter and would stop at nothing to do what was right for her "son". Will he has such a big heart and you can tell he was raise right by Janie and my heart kind of broke for him in the beginning of this book. Aiden man he was a hard shell to crack. I really like the other characters in the book as well, except for Maxi. Maxi I just want to hunt her down and smacker her myself. Overall this book was a fun read and I hope this is not the last we hear from these characters. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Sandcastle Beach Jenny Holiday

From the USA Today bestselling "master of witty banter" (Entertainment Weekly) comes a hilarious and heartwarming romance about two enemies whose feud turns red-hot.Maya Mehta will do anything to save her tiny, beloved community theater. Put on musicals she hates? Check. Hire an arrogant former-pop-star-turned-actor? Done. But what Maya really needs to save her theater is Matchmaker Bay's new business grant. She's got some serious competition, though: Benjamin "Law" Lawson, local bar owner, Jerk Extraordinaire, and Maya's annoyingly hot arch nemesis. Let the games begin.
Law loves nothing more than getting under Maya's skin, and making those gorgeous eyes dance with irritation. But when he discovers the ex-pop star has a thing for Maya, too, Law decides he's done waiting in the wings-starting with a scorching-hot kiss. Turns out there's a thin line between hate and irresistible desire, and Maya and Law are really good at crossing it. But when things heat up, will they allow their long-standing feud to get in the way of their growing feelings?

My thoughts on the book:

I will start off saying I did not read book one of this series but I did two and three now and I still fill like I love the matchmakers they are hilarious. In this book they are back to there "manipulation" . I really liked the banter between Law and Maya they have a love hate relationship and you can't help but to get invested into it and laugh. I was not a fan at all of Holden, he just rubbed me the wrong way and I was so over him with in a few minutes into his story. There is sexual content and adult language through out this book so may not be suitable for all. I would say I thought this was a fun book I hope this is not it for this series and we get to find out what happens with more of the fun characters we have meet through out this story and the other books. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Strong, Silent Cowboy Lora Leigh; Veronica Chadwick Moving Violations-#2

 Description:

From #1 New York Times bestseller Lora Leigh and Veronica Chadwick comes a second chance at love and bodyguard romance Strong, Silent Cowboy, a Moving Violations novel.

“Leigh’s books can scorch the ink off the page.”—RT Book Review

He Will Do Anything…

Sallie Hamblen had three incredibly hot, sexy nights with Jacob Donovan, an undercover CIA agent, before he disappeared, leaving her broken hearted and forever yearning for the man she lost. Years later, Jacob doesn’t know that the beauty he’s about to seduce in a small town bar is the woman he held in his arms all those years ago… and that she’s on the run from her past.

To Keep Her Safe…

Former CIA agent turned cowboy, Jacob Donovan wants nothing more than a simple life. Just the ranch and occasionally someone warm and sweet in his bed. Until Sallie comes back into his life and all of a sudden he wants to be in her bed every night...all night. When he discovers that her life is in danger, he swears he’ll protect her. Even when secrets are revealed that threaten everything between them, he will lay everything on the line to keep her in his arms.

My thoughts on the book:

I will say after reading book one and really liking Jacob, I was excited to read his story. However  I was not a fan of him in this book he was annoying to me and everything about him and this book was sex driven. Just like in the first book I had a hard time getting in this book there was not much of a storyline unless the authors were going for a book about sex then they hit it out of the park with this book for sure. I will say I liked Sally, Lily and Tara they are super stubborn and strong headed women. I really loved Gram she was a pistol I think was hands down my favorite and I wish there was more of her in the book. I did feel in the end I did have some questions but I am guessing the authors left it up to you. Overall this was not for me. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Cold Case Investigators

Book 1: Cold Case Takedown

My thoughts on the book:

OMG I could not put this book down, I had it with me, I swear everywhere I went. The author keeps you on the edge of your seat with twists and turns to keep you guessing what is going to happen next. I could never relate more with Georgia, she is a fighter and way stronger then she realizes, but she heads into life with God at her side knowing that's what's keeping her going. Cole wow what he faced at such a young age broke my heart but he too was a fighter and was not going to give up on love. Susan was the best kind of friend anyone could ask for she spoke truth in love and said the hard things as well. All in all this book was an amazing read and was a clean read.
