Driftwood Cowboy Lenora Worth

What's the book about:
Can she heal from a tragedy too great to bear?

When Michelle Lancaster flees her hometown of Spirit, Louisiana to spend time at a beach retreat in Driftwood Bay, Florida, she only wants to run from the tremendous pain of a tragedy that caused her perfect life to shatter into pieces.

But on the day when the memories become too much, a man steps into her path on the beach and causes her beloved horse Coco to almost throw her. Not to mention this is the one man Michelle has tried to avoid. But laid-back boat captain and artist Brodie Stevens has his eye on Michelle and soon, he is pursuing her with a strong-willed determination. He too is haunted, but believes that together they can heal each other. Now the driftwood cowboy must convince Michelle it’s possible to hope… and to love again.

My thoughts on the book:

Michelle, is broken and what appears to be on the run from something. Brodie, has been running his whole life he was and has been completely broken and when he sees Michelle he realizes he is ready to take on the task. the only thing is Michelle needs to heal and has no intention of letting anyone or anything close again. When tragedy strikes it seems that its finally time to let everything out, for both Brodie and Michelle.
I have to say this book is amazing for once not just another story built on sexual attraction. I loved the fun characters in the story and I felt like I was catching up with friends not just read a story about people I knew nothing about this book is amazing. you can not go wrong with it.

Grace Unplugged Melody Carlson

What's the book about:
Grace Trey is an eighteen-year-old singer as passionate about her Christian faith as she is her phenomenal, God-given musical talent. Both traits come from her father, one-hit wonder Johnny Tray who found Jesus after losing his chart success two decades ago.

When Grace encounters her own music break of a lifetime, the sudden dive into the "real world" puts her deeper beliefs to the test. Pop superstardom is just within reach but appears to require some spiritual compromise. Will Grace reject her faith, or will she own it?

Grace Unplugged is based on the motion picture of the same name starring AJ Michalka (Super 8) and Kevin Pollak (A Few Good Men).

My thoughts on the book:

Let me say this book is good for anyone, but would be perfect for any teenager. Grace is 18 and has the whole world in front of her. Her dad use to be famous and she has it in her mind she needs to be famous and will stop at nothing to get there including, being selfish and acting like she knows everything. She has no problem hurting people even the one she loves, or does she? As most teenagers they think they know it all and Grace is no different. This book has so much more then I talked about and will really gets to the heart of the matter all why you sit by and try to understand where Grace's at and her family and friends if you want to know more I say grab this book you will not be disappointed and I highly recommend this book for anyone who had a dream or who has a dream, because you never know where that dream might take you and Grace is the same way.

Deja Date Susan Hatler

What's the book about:

(Better Date than Never series, Book 9)
Melinda Morgan commits to running her favorite neighborhood bakery when the owner, who’s like a second dad to her, falls ill. Then she finds out his adventurous son, Nate Carter, is back in town. Nate was Melinda’s first kiss and greatest heartbreak all rolled into one, yet he’s still as charming as ever.
When Melinda learns Nate’s dad is selling his bakery, she realizes her dream to own the bakery herself. But in order to access her inheritance funds, she must first complete her father’s Carpe Diem list, which challenges her to take risks she normally wouldn’t—like only dating someone who leaves her breathless.
Nate wants a second chance with her and she finds him nearly impossible to resist. Could he be the key to completing her dad’s list and saving the bakery? And can he help her do both without breaking her heart all over again?

My thoughts on the book:
Melinda has been working her butt off in everything she has done well except the one thing she wanted to do in her heart and that was a task she just was not ready to go after.....or was she? Nate just came home from his long stint away to find he has things on his own list of regrets he's ready to tackle....just one is being to difficult.
I really loved this fun read. I can't say that there was anything negative about it. The chemistry was fun a there almost from the beginning. The book is a short read and hour to maybe and hour and half of your time but at the end it really doesn't feel that it lacked anything to make it feel very short. I Have not read anything else in the series but this was such a fun book I can't wait to read the others in the series.

What's the book about:
Bid on a date with this wounded warrior for an unforgettable night of adventure. Aim high—and bid higher!—because no one comes close to local hero Gabriel Morales.

Molly Dekker hates being the town charity case, but when her son Josh is seriously injured she has no choice. She lets her best friend organize a bachelor auction to help pay her massive bills and make Josh’s life more comfortable. She can’t bid on any of the men, but a surprise bidder gives her a gift she never expected: a date with the man who saved her son’s life—the only one she’s in danger of losing her heart to.

Former Air Force pararescueman Gabriel Morales made a career of flying to the rescue, until a tragic helicopter crash stole more than his livelihood. Being auctioned off like a slab of beef isn’t in his recovery plan. But one look, one touch and one night unlocking Molly’s pent-up passion makes him realize how badly he needs to be rescued…and how badly he wants to rescue Molly right back.

Will Molly and Gabriel’s never-quit attitude have them rushing head-first into love? Or will Gabriel’s secret pain stall their relationship before it can get off the ground?

My thoughts on the book:
At first I wondered why this was not the first book in the series. As it tells you a lot about what happened with Josh that the other books kind of left vega. Gabriel is hiding in the middle of now where fighting demons only he can win over, or so he thinks.  Josh is a free spirit who I am just forever am in love with. And oh Molly Molly, Molly she is a single mom who doesn't take well to people helping her out, when her world falls apart she starts and is forced to lean on people she never thought she would.
I love this book, oh heck I love this series. I loved how this tired everything up for you and doesn't leave you with questions. I love how you get to catch up with the fun people and the crazy people of Marietta, if nothing more get all the books in the series Just so you can read this one because it will be work every bit of your time. (oh and Lily is back and this book she has a heart so big you just love her too)

In Bed with the Bachelor Megan Crane

What's the book about:
Our latest bachelor has enough family in Marietta to qualify as an honorary native, but hails instead from Seattle, WA, which is where he’ll fly you for a glamorous weekend on the shores of the sparkling Puget Sound. Jesse Grey will treat you the way a local boy turned construction tycoon should: five star accommodations, gourmet dinners, and celebrated Washington wines. We just can’t promise he’ll smile much. Or at all.
Sold to the highest bidder!
Jesse Grey, notorious bachelor and one of Seattle’s foremost construction tycoons, has been roped into participating in the Marietta Bachelor Auction thanks to an expertly executed guilt trip laid out by his family.
Michaela Townsend already has a fiancé and certainly doesn’t need another man in her life. So when her family buys her surly, sexy Jesse at the auction and wrangles him into driving her from Montana to Seattle, she’s appalled yet disturbingly attracted.
As far as Jesse is concerned, Michaela is forbidden fruit. Even though he knows her fiancé isn’t all he seems, Jesse would never take what didn’t belong to him. But how long can he resist the one woman he shouldn’t touch?

My thoughts on the book:
Ok this is by far my least favorite book out of all 6 in the series. Jessie Grey is a hard working guy and he is conned by his uncle to be part of the auction to help a family in need. He is not looking for a girl of any kind especially after he was screwed over by his dad and his last girlfriend. Michaela is in a relationship her family can't stand. Her family bids and win Jessie Grey and then all seems so break loose.
Ok when this book came out I was excited and couldn't wait to read it, once I started I was like um ok. I was so over it. I felt the book was very much complaining and the whole book seemed that way to me. It seemed that the whole book ok most of the book up to about 60% it seemed that Jessie and Michaela just fought and could not agree with each other on Michaela's relationship and her work and just about everything it seem to turn me off from the book.

His Outback Cowgirl Alissa Callen The Wildflower Ranch Series

What's the book about:

Australian cowgirl, Bridie Willis, travels to Montana to meet her half-brother and to escape the pain of losing her father. Headstrong and determined to live life to the full, she plans to spend the summer photographing wild animals in the back country.

Cowboy, Ethan Morgan, has been shaped by a childhood spent on the run. Cautious, steady and conservative, he must ensure the risk-taking cowgirl he is entrusted to babysit doesn’t come to any harm.

But the biggest challenge Ethan must face is to accept how Bridie makes him feel. And the biggest risk Bridie must take is to trust in her heart.

My thoughts on the book:

Birdie comes to Marietta with her mother and finds out she has a half brother she never knew about. Now she's her in Montana away from the only home she grew up in and has ever know to deal with a loss that has her world falling apart or so she thinks.
Ethan has a heart of gold but know that is a situation presents its self he has no problem defending and protecting his family. He came to Montana to help his dad he he just found with in the last few years recover from surgery. Now he is put into a situation he seems to not be able to say no to, or will he find loss greater then love?

I feel like even before the chemistry picks up which you just find yourself falling in love with all the characters. I love the quirkiness of Henry and Birdie. Once the chemistry hits you have no chance you will want to read every page to find out what is going on, not just because of the chemistry but because of the storyline it self. This book is a real page turner for sure.

Until You Jeannie Moon

What's the book about:

When newly divorced Kate Adams is approached on the sunny deck of a California hotel by hockey star David Burke, and he invites her to dinner, she almost says no. He’s obviously younger than her. And charming. And drop dead gorgeous. But there’s also something sweet about David, so Kate—who hasn’t done anything spontaneous in a very long time—accepts his invitation.
It is, after all, her fortieth birthday.
However, a real romance with thirty-year-old David, whose picture is in the gossip pages as often as it’s in the sports pages, is out of the question. No matter how much she wants him, it’s just too risky.
But meeting Kate has been David’s lightning strike. She’s the one for him, and he has no intention of giving up on her.
So while Kate guards her fragile heart, David sets out to win her over with the same determination that drives him on the ice.
And he’ll break every rule in the book if he has to

My thoughts on the book:

Kate is a hard working mom all she wants in life is whats best for her teenage daughter Laura. Kate goes to a conference in California to get away from life and try to start fresh and a new chapter. The only thing is Kate trust NO ONE other then her sister and her best friend Julie. Will she learn to start to trust to get to the new chapter she so desperately want to start off good?
David yummy hockey player about to hit a "mile stone" birthday is visiting California for the first away game of the season. He spots Kate and knows he has to talk to her and then ask her to dinner, the only thing is he thinks this will be easy and just like all the other girls. I mean is he really ever going to see her again?

I love this book. i love how the author wrote about so really tough subjects. At the beginning of the book my heart so just broke for Kate, by the end I was cheering for her, she was such a strong character and it was easy to really like her. At first I could not stand Richard or Laura and forget about Marie, but as the book went one you could really start to see Laura's heart and you wanted to cheer for her. This book will draw you in from the beginning of the book and with every page turn will find it hard to put down. At one point the author discuss Kate's book and I found my self wanting to read that book. This book seriously worth the read and you can not go wrong with it.

I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.

Logan will need a Christmas miracle for Miranda to forgive him. A grand gesture to melt her heart and win her back just in time for Christmas.

My thoughts on the book:

I really likes the story over all. I think that the story could have done with out all the jesus and god in a manner of a curse. I did like how they said they were not taking Christ out of christmas. I feel like the story is cute and I loved how it ended. I loved the setting in LA it really puts you into the spirit and I loved the sixchicks and there scale. I love each of there personalities and how each one shows in the book. I love the feeling of home and family in the story line. This book will put you into the spirit of christmas for sure.

Book 2: Bachelor at her Bidding
Book 3: The Bachelor's Baby
Book 4: What a Bachelor Needs
Book 5: In Bed with the Bachelor
Book 6: One Night with her Bachelor

My thoughts on the book:

Mardie is working hard to make a better life for her baby girl after going through hell. She sees a face she wants to run from but also run too. She is torn as to what to do but she know that the auction will be over soon and she will not have to see Jett Casey again after that or will she?
Jett wonders if Mardie remembers him, has always wonder what happened to her after there last run in and he she is happy to see her again. When she gets him as a gift for a week of handyman services he wonders if this is a way to make a wrong right?
OMG I love this story, I love being able to catch up with the wonderful characters of Marrietta Montana. I love how this author talked about some tough issues but the book as a whole left you wanting more. I can honestly say there was not one thing I did not like about this book. While the book my be short its got a really good story and a way of drawing you into the book you find it hard to put down. Unlike the other books that have a ton of steamy hotness this book has a "little bit" of steamy hotness to it, but it is worth it because even with the little bit the story didn't need it all the much since there was so much chemistry through out the whole book. If you are looking for a fun series to read these set of books are for you.

A Cowgirl's Christmas C.J. Carmichael (Carrigans of the Circle C series)

What's the book about:

For years Callan Carrigan has been her father’s right hand man, so when her dad’s will names city slicker Court McAllister the new owner of The Circle C Ranch, Callan feels betrayed on every level.

Then she and her sisters find their mother’s diaries, hidden from them by their father since their mother’s accidental death 18 years ago, and the shocking revelations explain a lot. Reeling, Callan seeks refuge in the local saloon, where it seems no one can reach her, until Court offers her a challenge.

If she agrees to be foreman at the Circle C for one year, he’ll deed the ranch back to her and her sisters. The deal seems too sweet at first—until Callan realizes Court has his eyes on something she protects even more than her family’s land—her heart.

My thoughts on the book:

I really really liked this book. My heart really broke for Callan. Just when I thought the story line was going to change and go the way I wanted it to, nope it kept me going and left me hanging and wanting more. This book also allows you to catch up with the rest of the Carrigans and I was really happy about that. I haven't read all of the other Carrigans stories, but it was not hard to catch up and find out what was going on with the book . I loved Court and his trueness. Court seemed real, which was nice since in some of these books they make them so unrealistic. This book is a short read but is worth every bit. It really puts you in the Christmas spirt and enjoy the simpleness of a small town.

Before He Was A Secret Becky Wicks

What's the book about:
“What if we can’t choose
Every battle we win and lose
What if we decided years before, to live this life, to fight these wars
And all the dreams we ever thought were ours
Were written in the stars”

Waiting tables isn't exactly what singer/songwriter Stephanie has in mind for her move to Nashville, but memories of the past and a case of writer’s block mean inspiration isn’t coming easy. When brooding pianist Conor Judge opens his mouth in a smoky bar he proves music can heal, and even help you re-write your story, but a history of his own means the one thing he starts to want most is always just out of reach. Stephanie.

Enter Travis Flynn - an upcoming star who won’t take no for an answer, and a record label intent on helping Stephanie shine, without Conor. As fame comes knocking as hard as the ghosts of their pasts, it soon becomes clear that no matter how hard you might fall in love, having the perfect songs doesn’t always mean perfect harmony.

My thoughts on the book:
After appearing on a game show Stephanie moves to Nashville in hopes to follow a life long dream of writing music and singing and making it big. She is also running from something. Conor lives in Nashville and he has ton of secrets he's trying to hide. He's doing what he love he writing music and working in the family business.
Ok so I was not a fan of this book the book is very predictable and left nothing to hope for or anticipate. The first half of the book dragged and I kept hoping the book would pick up at some point. Just over half way through the book does finally get good, however it still is very predictable, but it does stay good the rest of the book.

The Long Way Home Kathleen O'Brien

What's the book about:
At eighteen, Abby Foster had been the cutest little rich gal in Marietta, Montana. She could make boys do whatever she wanted—especially sweet, wild, penniless Joe Carlyle, who adored her. But a lot’s changed in the eight years since Abby broke Joe’s heart by marrying the rich guy her domineering father chose for her. Her father has died, and the “perfect” husband has bolted, taking all the money. More importantly, Abby’s grown up. She’s vowed to stop listening to other people and follow her own heart instead.
Right now, her heart tells her to return to Marietta. The wildfire she felt in Joe’s arms has haunted her, and, though she doesn’t expect forgiveness, she hopes maybe he, too, would enjoy a brief, no-strings affair. If they can share just the seventy-two hours of Homecoming weekend…well, maybe then they’ll both find it easier to forgive, forget, and move on.
But when she sees him, she realizes how naive that idea was. The years have changed Joe, too…and the passionate, powerful man he’s become isn’t someone she’ll ever forget. This time the heart she breaks may be her own.
My thoughts on the book:
I really loved this short story. I love how the emotion through out the whole book and there was a lot of "tension" between the two main characters but a good kind one that keeps the book going. This book took me like an hour to read not because it that short but because it was just that good. If you are looking for a sweet love story to ready this is the one for you.

Need You for Keeps Marina Adair

What's the book about:

When it comes to caring for the furry residents of St. Helena, California, groomer and pet rescuer Shay Michaels can handle anything. Humans are another story, though—especially Deputy Jonah Baudouin. He’s the town’s resident superhero: upright, uptight, and jaw-droppingly gorgeous, even when he’s investigating complaints about Shay’s beloved foster animals. And that spells danger for Shay, a free spirit who can’t risk trusting the wrong person again.
Jonah and Shay have been circling each other ever since she came to town, and he’s running out of reasons to not kiss her senseless. But this deputy is a straight shooter with his eye on the sheriff’s badge. He can’t afford to get involved with Shay, a chaos magnet with luscious curves who’s liable to turn his career—and his life—upside down. He enforces laws. She breaks them—repeatedly. Keeping her out of trouble is becoming a full-time job…and it’s one he hopes is never going to end.

My thoughts on the book:
I just had so much fun reading this book. I would have to say if this was a movie it would be labeled a romantic comedy. Shay is outgoing, loving, caring but the most free spirited person, she seems to have a few secrets and maybe running from something. She says everyone needs to be loved and how true she shows herself in this book, you feel like you are reading a letter from one of your good friends and just catching up. Jonah on the other had is running he trust no one or at least that what he wants people to think. He has heart but its damaged and he is a no non sense kind of guy, you just want to keep doing what he's doing and what he's been hired to do and he wants to avoid Shay and her craziness that she seems to be around every time he turns around.
I had a hard time putting this book down there was so much fun and excitement through out, but all and all the Chemistry in the book was there from page one to the last page. There was no real low points in the book there are some times you find your self wanting to choke one or two of the character for there craziness...lol.  I think I have to say that this book would not be good for young reads as it does contain adult situations and strong language. I would say hands down this is a really really fun read and worth the read overall. You really can't go wrong.

Home For Good Terri Reed

What's the book about:
Joelle Winslow needs her cash share from the family ranch, and fast. But Matt Locke doesn't want to give it to her.
Being in Marietta over homecoming weekend makes her realize how much she's
missed the ranch... and Matt. Now it's decision time. Will following her
dream take Joelle far away from Montana or return her home for good?
My thoughts on the book:

I really liked this book, such a sweet love story. It was a quick read and all in all there were a few slow points, however all together the story was simple and the love story was very sweet. I love the town Marietta Montana it make me want to go visit and this book does the same thing. The small town life where everyone knows everything about you and yet still love you and wants you to succeed this book does not disappoint with a good old cowboy story.
