The Cowboy Next Door R. C. Ryan- Montana Strong #2

Description:
After weeks on the trail, Sam Monroe is looking forward to a hot bath, a home-cooked meal, and a real bed. In that order. But he's greeted by something even better when he opens the door to his family's ranch house. Seems the new housekeeper is a gorgeous young woman who cooks like an angel and wrangles his family like a pro. If only she didn't dislike him so much...

Penny Cash is down on her luck, and the last thing she needs is a flirtation with a wild, carefree cowboy. Sure, he's funny and sexy, but they're as different as whiskey and tea. And she'll be leaving town as soon as she finds a full-time teaching position. But when trouble comes calling, Penny will find out how serious Sam can be when it comes to protecting the woman he loves...

My thoughts on the book:

Can we just say wow!!! I mean cowboys you really can't go wrong right. This book has lots of cowboys, fun and two broken people who are looking to just belong. There was not one slow part in this whole book, it had me on the edge of my seat and keeps you guessing with every page. I really enjoyed the value of "family" in this book its not all about being blood related but belonging. I also really enjoyed how the story played out overall. Penny has an old soul to her and the author did an amazing job with all the characters. I did not read the first book in the series and I am already to read more to see what happens next to the Monroe family. This book does have adult scenes but over all its minimal and not a huge part in the book. The chemistry is amazing its just seems so natural.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was such an amazing and sweet read. This book deals with facing fears, forgiveness and find hope when you feel hope is loss. I loved this fun love story. There characters where fun to read about, From Pax and Neeley, to Neeley's sister Tenley and all the other people on the island you really felt like you were catching up with friends. I has back and forth with weather I liked Pax, some times I really just wanted to bop him on the head and the other times I really could not wait to get to know more about it. The author did an amazing job and keep you drawn into this love story as well as keep you guessing on what was going to happen next. Liv and Breathe Misty Simon

Description:

Olivia Jameson runs a summer camp called Breathe, giving inner-city kids a chance to see a different life. When the man who owned the camp died, leaving his dream to his son, Liv took charge, and the work means the world to her.

As far as Alex Campbell is concerned, the camp is a hands-off tax write-off. But when Liv calls because her boys are accused of property damage, Alex returns to the place he hasn't called home since age twelve…and to a girl he barely remembers, now a woman who stirs him like no city sophisticates ever have.

This is Liv's livelihood, her mission, her dream. Sharing it with a man who doesn't understand the impact is frustrating. But as he begins learning truths that were hidden from him, both Liv and Alex may have a change of heart. Can Liv open up her life one more time to love?

My thoughts on the book:

I have never read anything from this author so I didn't know what to expect. This subject matter was not something I have read about before or that I can remember. The author gave the book a down home feel to it. The town comes together to help kids who are less fortunate, but it seemed more like they were helping Olivia and her son because they believed in her and what she was trying to do. Olivia had this passion for what she was doing and she was super stubborn and would let nothing stop her. Alex has this feel about it at first that made you wonder will I end up liking this guy in the end or not. He had this soft side to him but he also kept his guard up a lot of the book. Over all this book is a decent read. There are adult situations described but not graphic. I would say if you are looking for a fun read with a lot of sass then defiantly check this read out.

My Favorite Cowboy Donna Grant- Heart of Texas #3

Description:
Audrey Martinez is a veterinarian who has devoted her whole life to the care and protection of horses—even if doing so leaves her little time for meeting a man. Who would have thought that a strange case of criminal horseplay would lead her to falling deeply, wildly in love? If only the man who makes her heart race faster than a wild mustang would let his guard down, that is. . .

Caleb Harper is no ordinary cowboy. Sure, he wears his hat, boots, and jeans like a second skin, and displays an easygoing charm that comes from years of working on the ranch. But with his military background, and Army buddies at his side, he is tried-and-true Texas tough. Audrey knows she can trust a man like Caleb to help her save horses. But can Caleb trust himself to resist his attraction to Audrey—or will the sparks of their desire end up getting them burned?

My thoughts on the book:

So I I don't know where to start with this book. The two main characters are running from themselves, from feelings and from commitment and anything revolving a relationship. The author packed so much emotion, and chemistry into this book is was jumping off the pages. The story really gets to the heart of matter, while it also has you on the edge of you seat wondering what is going to happen next, from one page to the next. I really enjoyed the importance of "family" in this book and how sometimes family is what you make of it. I so so am hoping that Maddy's story is coming, her free spirit really shined in this story even though her part was small. This book was so good and I really can't wait to read more from this author. There is some adult language and situations in this book so it may not be suitable for all readers. Over all this book is so worth the read.

All In Shelley Shepard Gray- (Bridgeport Social Club #2)

Description:
Meredith Hunt is content with her solo life. She owns and runs a successful Pilates studio, volunteers at the high school every week, and recently bought a house. She can take care of herself, which is good because she has a hard time relying on other people. When she's mugged and a handsome man comes to her rescue, she doesn't know how to accept his help-or how to stop staring into his chocolate-brown eyes.

Ace Vance moved to Bridgeport to offer his fifteen-year-old son, Finn, a better life. Here, Finn has a chance to play football for a good team and maybe even earn a college scholarship. And Ace scored a job at a top-notch garage, where he gets to fix up classic cars. Plus, they could both use some distance from Finn's toxic mom. The last thing on his mind is falling in love, but he can't help offering assistance to a gorgeous redhead in need.

Thrown together by a careless criminal, Meredith and Ace can't deny their attraction. But can they open their hearts-and their lives-to make room for love?

Shelley Shepard Gray's Bridgeport Social Club series explores how communities can come together to support each other, whether it's around a poker table, in a Pilates studio, or anywhere in between. Get ready to fall in love with a group of men and women who, even when they feel lost, refuse to lose hope.

My thoughts on the book:

I will say if you are use to reading Shelley's amish books this is not going to be the same style that you may be use to. That being said this book was super fun and really good. This book talks about some deep thing and some light hearted stuff as well. I loved the relationships and how it really takes a community when things go rough. I loved how Meredith its strong and independent but she realizes she need to work on breaking her walls down to let those in. I really also enjoyed how the author has Finn and Ace with these strong names and personalities, but they both have a sensitive side. I just really enjoyed how the author kept the characters simple and completely relatable. This book does have a few curse words but over all this book was a good clean read and completely worth it. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Friends to the End Shelley Shepard Gray

Description:

Discover the charming first enovella in a new Amish romance series from the New York Times bestselling author of Love Held Captive and The Gift.

When Andy’s baby sister Trish gets stranded at the family cabin during a massive blizzard, he calls upon his best friends—the Magnificent Eight—to go to his sister’s rescue.

Andy knows that several members of the Eight will drop everything to help, and they’re the perfect solution because the Amish aren’t hindered by stalled cars—they can travel just fine in their buggies.

But when Logan, Trish’s secret crush, is the first to volunteer to save her, she can’t help but worry that, despite the freezing temperatures, being alone with Logan might mean that things heat up pretty fast. Filled with Shelley Shepard Gray’s signature “heart-warming, heart-stopping” (Wendy Corsi Staub, New York Times bestselling author) prose, Friends to the End is an evocative and endearing romance.

My thoughts on the book:

I love quick reads, they are the perfect way to end a rough day and I would say that this book did just that. With its lightheartedness and fun friendships in the story. Not just another love story but a story of "family" being there for each other even from a distance or right there in the same town. I loved how Logan has this big heart and the 8 friends all hold each other accountable but are there no matter what, all from different walks of lives. I loved how this book had a powerful message of self worth. I really loved that this book was a clean read and suitable for all. I really wanted to read more about these group of friends and can't wait to see what's next for them.

Harper Lee Wilcox has been marking time in her hometown of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina since her husband, Noah Wilcox’s death, nearly five years earlier. In her pursuit of her dream, Harper crosses paths with Bennett Caldwell, Noah’s best friend and SEAL brother. A man who has a promise to keep, entangling their lives in ways neither of them can foresee. As her business grows so does an unexpected relationship with Bennett. Can Harper let go of her grief and build a future with Bennett even as the man they both loved haunts their pasts?

My thoughts on the book:

What an amazing read. This book I would say is a little different, the author writes both the present and the pass, you don't have to guess the author labels each chapter. I loved how you get the current story and the back story but its broken up. This book was super emotional, super powerful and very healing. I loved how each character was super strong, but also had a brokenness to them that made them feel very read. I loved how each character was very much connectable. I loved the role the kids played they added a huge fun element to a very serious book. I loved everything about this book. I will say there is some strong language and some very much adult topics in this book. I can't wait to read more from this series and see what other plans to author has for these character.
This book was hard to put down and I seemed to fly through it, because it was just that good. You can't go wrong with this amazing read.

Kissed by the Country Doc Melinda Curtis- The Mountain Monroes #1

Description:

She came to sell a town…

But she found a home

Never in her wildest dreams could single mom Ella Monroe imagine co-inheriting the small town of Second Chance, Idaho—or falling for its curmudgeonly doctor, Noah Bishop. Despite his rough edges and protests for isolation, Noah has her believing in love at first sight again. But when she’s pressured to sell her stake, Ella is torn between family loyalty and following her heart.

My thoughts on the book:

I really enjoyed this love story. I enjoyed how independent Ella is and how what came across through the whole story was how important her daughter and her well being is. In this story Ella seeks a family and she needs to find who she is in order to find the family she has alway wanted. I really like how the other Monroe's made sure she felt like family and she was just as important as they were. I was not a huge fan of Noah he bugged me at first but he grows on you in the end. This book very much feels like you are catching up with friends and not reading fiction. I loved how clean this book was and how it was a quick and easy read. I can't wait to read more of this series and see what's in play for the rest of the Monroe clan.

Her only ally is Noah, despite their difference of opinion on the homicide case. Can he win Mia over to his side and protect her from ever-growing threats?

My thoughts on the book:

The much anticipated final book of Atlanta Justice series it finally here. I am so sad to see this series come to an end I have really enjoyed every single book I had a hard time putting them down. In this book it takes some twist and turns and you never know what's going to happen next. This book will have you have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to the end, leaving you wanting so much more. I loved how the author talked a lot about faith and how having faith even in the hard times are important. I loved how she talked about even questioning where you stand when you get knock down.  This book is not just a fiction suspense a book but it has a lesson in life in it and how being a Christian doesn't mean its easy or perfect. I think in each book of this series there is a life lesson. I really can't wait to see what the author has in store next but I am so glad to have added this series to my library.
If you have never read anything by Rachel Dylan series grab this series you won't regret it.
