A Date with Santa Debbie Macomber

      Description:

Romance blooms when an unlikely couple plans to surprise a child in need of some Christmas magic in this sparkling holiday romance from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.

For single career woman Sage Madison, Christmas means premade cookies and artificial trees. But when her sister needs her help, Sage volunteers to care for her five-year-old nephew, Ricky.

Determined to give Ricky a memorable Christmas, Sage enlists help from her assistant and close friend, Erica, who loves kids, and her colleague Ethan, who agrees to dress up as Santa—if Sage and Ricky join him in holiday fun to get in the spirit.

As Sage navigates the challenges of caring for her nephew and the prospect of romance with Ethan, she begins to discover the true magic of the season. Ethan’s bond with Ricky and his kindness toward Sage bring unexpected joy and new adventures—filled with ice skating, baking, and a sense of fulfillment she never expected.

But when her old life threatens to interfere with the festivities, Sage must decide what she truly wants before the season’s magic slips away.

My Review:

I feel like this author should be named Ms. Christmas I pick up one of her books near the holiday and she just has a way of putting you into the Christmas spirit this book included. I was not disappointed in this book and was bummed when it ended because I had read it that fast. At first I thought the book would play out one way but I liked how Sage found a community when it came to her nephew. As they say it takes a village when raising kids and this was very much the case in this book. You find yourself routing for both Sage and Ricky and then Sage has some mishaps along the way that will have you laughing and rolling your eyes at the same time. Christmas it not just about the family you came from but the family you build and Sage proved that to be true in this book. I really did just enjoy about ever character in this book including Troy who you want to kick at times. Overall this was a fun read and well worth it. Very clean read suitable for all!!

Chasing the Clouds away Debbie Macomber

 Description:
Maisy Gallagher has her own dreams, but when her father passes away, she selflessly sets them aside to help her family. Despite knowing it was the right thing to do, she can’t help but wish for the road not taken.

Chase Furst, the hardened heir to a financial empire, is on the other hand primarily focused on his own life and on his work as a bank executive. His childhood was marred by his mother’s struggle with addiction, and left him cynical and emotionally distant.

But then Chase meets Maisy, a beautiful woman full of optimism and kindness who can see past his defenses. To his surprise and annoyance, she offers to help him during a time of need, and declines his offer of payment. Instead, she asks him to pay it forward—and not with money or a quick fix, but through an act of true selflessness. At a loss, Chase doesn’t know where to begin.

My Review:
From page oneI was not able to put this book down it was so fun. While I did feel that Chase was a little pushy sometimes I loved how Maisy pushed right back and did not put up with his hogwash. I loved Patrick he just jumped off the pages with his sassiness and excitement. This whole book felt like a ton of twist and turns and it really gets to the heart for sure. I can't say anything negative about this book such a fun read and well worth it. This is a clean read and well worth the read.
