He can only do his best to lighten her burdens and hope others see her good heart. Still, the sight of her fills him with fresh longing, much as he tries to focus on his girlfriend and forget the past. Yet when jealousy flares, igniting trouble, they both must look to faith to do what’s right—and bring joyous futures for everyone . . .

My Review:
I started off really liking this book, I feel like so far this series is geared more to a teen reader than an adult reader, but you can always learn something new from most books you read. What I was not a fan of, was I felt like Mrs. Vandenberg was very disingenuous in some of her "workings' in this story.  I have really liked her in past books I have read but this time it felt like she was more or less manipulating situation and saying it was in "God's name". As a christian I know that is not how God works and his will for out lives would not using someone to manipulate the situation. I just really wasn't a fan of her this time. I really like Rachel she had a big heart and she really had a bigger giving spirit she did anything for those she loved and cared for before she thought of herself. Overall this book was not for me this time, the author did keep the book clean making it a perfect read for all readers.

When his second-rate new hire is a disastrous mistake, Jack humbles himself on Maddie’s doorstep with an offer she can’t refuse. Maddie could be the key to saving his company as long as he hides his heart. But does he have to?

My Review:
Jack was one of the characters with a big ego and you are not quite sure where the author is going to take it. Jack has a big heart and wants what it best for his family and he doesn't wasn't to fail them with his choices. He is always looking out for his community and company and knows that his choice can have lasting impact. Maddie was this no nonsense person, she had no problem getting her hands dirty right along with those she work with or over saw. She loved her family, friends and just wanted a place to fit and call home. I loved Annabelle that girl made everything her business she was sure to keep her cousins and friend on there toes, you were not about to pull a fast one on her, there was no doubting where you stood with her or Maddie. I really can't wait to read her story. I loved the feel of family, and community in the story it just overall was a fun read, Its a feel good book for sure.

But amid all the barbs—and, fine . . . all the sparks—flying, True glimpses the man beneath the swagger. That version of Xavier, the real one, might just steal True’s heart.

My Review:
This is a new to me author and this book did not disappoint at all. I really loved that this was set in Alaska and the author did an good job making you feel like you were in the story. I like True there was not messing with her that girl was going to protect who she loves and cares about at all cost. I really liked her sidekick Bonnie because every person needs someone in their corner cheering them on. I liked Xavier he protected his brothers at all cost, he loved his little family that his mom created  and would do whatever needed to be done to protect them. His relationship with his grandmother and  Red was trying at times but he always did what he felt was right, he had the biggest heart and would take everyone at face value. Overall these two just felt very relatable and a fun read.

Marrying the Nanny Dani Collins

Description:

When infant Storm is orphaned, nanny Emma Wright, on a work visa and still reeling from a painful divorce, yearns to adopt her but must relinquish Storm to her three adult half-brothers. They remind her of a pack of wolves—protective, but not prepared to care for a baby. Alpha male Reid is especially aloof and intimidating.

Like his younger brothers, Reid Fraser left the Westcoast village of Raven’s Cove at eighteen and never looked back. Now a successful corporate consultant who rescues failing businesses—which is what this fly-in fishing resort has become, Reid must rally his brothers to save Storm’s inheritance, but he and his estranged brothers barely get along. They can’t deal with an infant, too. They need the nanny.

As Emma coaches Reid through midnight feedings and teething, they try to ignore the sexual pull between them. Then they learn Storm may have family who could take her from them. Reid proposes a marriage of convenience, but will it be enough to keep this fractured family together?

My Review:
Let me first start off saying if you have ever dealt with pregnancy loss, IVF or struggled to get pregnant this book may hit you different. Now that being said this book was good. Emma had one of the biggest hearts and sweetest spirits it seemed like everyone liked her, she was one that it was hard not to like. Reid was a pain in the you know what but typical brothers always the oldest having to figure out life for the younger ones. He does grow on you though. I loved Glenda there was no getting around her, when she spoke the boys, heck everyone listened she just had a love for people that shined off the pages. I really can't wait to see what antics the brother's get up to in the series. Overall it was worth the read, there is sexual content in the book so it may not be suitable for all.

When Josie uncovers troubling family secrets, she needs Easton more than ever. But can he stay knowing she’s forever out of reach?

My Review:
I liked the way the book started off, however as it went one I was not a fan. I liked Josie she was this strong headed, independent women ready to drop everything and help her family when needed. I found Easton entitled and a bit of a jerk who. I found that one Josie and Easton were in the same space they acted more like teenagers then grown adults, constantly taking digs at each other and beating around the bush instead of just speaking from the heard how they felt. I did not like Amy either she was annoying always had to be right and all out acted like a spoiled brat. Overall this book was not for me.

Description:
In this sizzling, sassy western romance, she’s been burned by too many cowboys—but can this rodeo rider convince her he’s worth the risk?

Retired SEAL Thatch Hearst never thought he’d put down roots, but four years in Star Valley as a bronc rider has him calling the town home. All he needs now is to earn some real money by competing in the big leagues. He’ll have his chance with the town’s upcoming rodeo days, but first he needs to improve his scores. Running out of time—and ideas—Thatch enlists the help of a local yoga instructor, hoping to gain an extra edge.

Lyric Valenza has worked with difficult clients, but this ruggedly handsome cowboy might just be her biggest challenge. Marrying a cowboy was the biggest mistake of her life, and after her divorce, she vowed she’d never again need a man. Only the more time she spends with Thatch, the more she realizes there’s a difference between needing and wanting someone—and this cowboy may just be the one person she doesn’t want to be without.

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book it! Its one of those book that you just feel part of the friend group and you can't wait for more. Thatch has this big heart but he doesn't want to put himself out there for someone again who doesn't or can't love him as much as he loves them. He cares so deeply for his friends and would do anything for them. Lyric is a broken soul just looking to move past something that seems to continue to haunt her years later. She loves her friends but alway has no problem keep everyone at arms length. I loved Thatch's dad I could not stop laughing at his silliness. This is a small town with big hearts and they will help everyone which is pretty amazing. This book does have some tough topics and sexual content so it may not be suitable for all. Overall it was a fun read and worth the read.

The Cowboy Charm Sinclair Jayne

Now honorably discharged, he’s looking to return to his cowboy roots to work as a rodeo stock contractor and travel the country he’s spent years protecting. Bound by duty and compassionate by nature, Ryder dives into his temporary role with humor and enthusiasm. His motto: make a difference. But what will it take to get statuesque, super serious Edi to smile and remember that each day is a gift?

My Review:

I have really enjoyed this series so far and this book did not disappoint either. I love how the author takes two broken people very different walks of Life but the heartbreak is still so similar and then turns and make them a hero in the story. It goes to show we call all be the hero's in our own story. Ryder comes back from his time in the military and while he stilling he structure mindset he's also in a playful one ready to help anyway he can. I enjoyed reading his and Lydia's antics it was like those two were peas in a pod. I feel like the author did an amazing job not sugar coating the struggles of a love one with dementia, its a hard disease, for the family as well. Edison (cool name) was what some may say a stick in the mud at first but she was so use to everything having to be that way and having so much on her shoulders you could see as the story went how she started to relax and enjoy her life. Overall this was a fun read and I can't wait for more from these brothers. There is sexual content in the story so it may not be suitable for all.

She doesn’t care about finding her birth parents, but her future children might. Sawyer Lafferty loved Leila, but her desire to get married—at nineteen!—sent him running. Before settling down, he wanted an education and opportunities. But those, and any future with Leila, vanished with the unexpected arrival of his baby girl. But little Piper quickly captures her heart, and when Sawyer shares the circumstances of his marriage, the spark they once had flares back to life, but is it enough to sustain them? Or will the secrets and lies surrounding them douse it forever?

My Review:
This book was not for me. It started off good and I really started to like it but the book kept going back to the past and at first you weren't sure if you were reading current or what happened in the past and this happened through out. I liked Leila she was feisty and really just trying to find out who she was and where she belonged in the world. Her friends were the best kind you could have. I was not a fan of Sawyer, he was over bearing selfish and just plain jerk. The only thing he had going for him was Piper she was a pistol for a 6 year old and she had more sense than he did. I felt the way the book ended just sums up how I felt for him. Over all there is adult topics through out but it was not the book for me.

Texas Rodeo Series:

Reckless in Texas (Book 1)

Tangled in Texas (Book 2)

Tougher in Texas (Book 3)

Fearless in Texas (Book 4)

Mistletoe in Texas (Book 5)

My Review:
So this is a new to me author. I liked Tori she was fun read she seemed at first this girl who just took crap from everyone and was easy to push around, however with life and how things were thrown at her she was not as it seemed. She was a pistol and had no problem telling you what she was thinking. I liked how even if she didn't like someone she always tried to find the best in everyone she came in contact with. Delon he was ok to me he had some frustration and demons he dealt with but he came of like a spoiled use to getting his way kind of person. I loved Miz Iris she was everyones mama and there was no messing around she said what needed to be said and did what needed to be done and loved all her "kids". Overall this was a fun story to read will have you laughing for sure. There is adult content so it may no be suitable for all readers.

Drawn deep into a dangerous game with an opponent bent on revenge, Christian and Andi are in a race against the clock to catch him, but the perpetrator's game is far from finished, and one wrong move could be the death of them both.

My Review:
I really enjoy this author so I was super excited about reading this book and it did not disappoint. I really liked this book so much. I could not put it down. I really liked Andi she was unsure of her self due to situations in her life but that did not stop her from seek out what was right and finding out the deadly truth. I really liked her friendship with Harper they seemed more like sisters the friends ready to protect each other at all cost. Christian was a force to be reckon with as well but he also had his siblings to who had his back and he them they were close and would stop at nothing to protect each other. Man oh Man Riley that girl spoke her mind when necessary and did not mix words. Truly this was a story worth reading and I can't wait for more from this group of friends. Skeptical but curious, Dani sets out on a journey to uncover the secrets of her past and reclaim her true identity. But someone close to her is determined to keep the truth of what happened all those years ago hidden.

My Review:
I like this author a lot I like the suspense of the books I have read from her so I was excited to get the chance to read this one. I will say I liked the story overall, but I felt it was more of a love story with a little suspense sprinkled in here and there then the opposite. I had a hard time getting into it at first but when it did pick up I could not stop reading. I LOVED Nanny Mae that is one women you would not want to mess with. I liked Dani but I felt like the author made her out to be this fragile soul who would just snap and then some one who would take on the world, it just felt all over the place with her. Overall this book was good read and the author kept it clean so it would be suitable for all readers.

The Cowboy's Prize Jamie K. Schmidt

 Description:

She vowed she’d never date a cowboy…

LeAnn “Killer” Keller is determined to be the first woman in the WPRCA to win a buckle in bull riding. She’s sworn off the distraction of rodeo cowboys, until her sister hires veteran bull rider Dylan Porter, not knowing that LeAnn and he indulged in a steamy one-night stand last season. LeAnn intends to keep their night together a secret, but Dylan’s kind, sweet and oh so tempting.

Dylan Porter was eager to reconnect with the woman who rocked his world last season, but he never imagined he’d be training her to ride bulls. She wants to keep their hook up a secret from her overly protective family, which is disappointing because Dylan felt like she could be the one. He’d like to walk away, but he needs the money.

When a male rider is killed by a bull gone wild, Dylan tries to keep LeAnn from competing. He knows she’ll never forgive him if she misses her shot, but he’d rather have her safe, even if he loses her forever.

My Review:
I really like this author so I was excited to read this book. I thought the story was cute overall however I was not a big fan of LeAnn, I felt like she came off as spoiled and when things didn't go her way she threw a "tantrum". I however loved her sister Dolly, boy you knew where she stood nothing came out of her mouth that would leave you wondering. She was feisty and so fun. Dylan was ok as well but it felt like he bent a lot to everyone in his life instead of doing what he felt worked for him. There is sexual content in this book so it may not be suitable for all readers. Overall I liked the story and I really enjoy a good cowboy story!

Lucky Strike by Janine Amesta

 Description:

When she loses out on the perfect duplex and settles for a standard apartment, she’s disappointed. But Luna remains determined to make it work, even if it sparks a contentious relationship with her new landlord– the same guy she accidentally kissed in an impromptu photo shoot.

Still grieving the sudden death of his brother, reformed bad boy Sam Sunderland feels trapped managing his father’s rundown apartment building. When the spunky beauty, who unexpectedly kissed him, moves in full of ideas, he can’t help being intrigued– that is until she starts changing things behind his back, endangering his position and the relationship with his father.

Sam and Luna wrangle over rules and misunderstandings while fighting against the undeniable attraction between them. It’s a hard lesson to learn that ‘perfect’ can take many different forms. But will the renovations they do together lay a foundation to something more?

My Review:
This story was cute. I had not read anything else in this series but feel like it could be one of those stand alone books as well. I really found that Luna came off as a snob and a Miss no it all who could do no wrong. I found that she really just was so mean to those in her life and chalked it up to be "brutally Honest" person. I really liked Mia and Ross they were so sweet and had such and loving kindness to those in there lives. Sam was one of this don't judge a book by the cover because what you see is not what they are. He was a bit mysterious at first but as the book went on his true colors came out. I felt that he put up with a lot from Luna and his parents but he also loved deeply and only wanted the best for those in his life. There is sexual content in the book so it may not be suitable for all. overall it was an ok read.

 Description:
Filled with her trademark humor and relatable characters, award-winning author Jennifer Beckstrand's blends quilting, matchmaking, and a close-knit Colorado community in her newest Amish Quiltmaker novel, as independent-minded quilter Esther Kiem sets her sights on an unusual match between the shyest Yoder sister and a professional baseball player…

Perfect for fans of Charlotte Hubbard, Wanda Brunstetter, and Linda Byler.

Though Mary Yoder longs to marry someday, she finds caring for her community’s injured and sick is much easier than courting. But when Englischer Clay Markham crashes his car nearby, Mary’s nursing shows her his hidden wounds are more painful than his injuries. Though she’s irresistibly drawn to his kind nature, can she risk letting him into her heart?

On the run from his troubled past, ex-pro baseball player Clay can’t believe the quiet sanctuary he’s found under Mary’s care. Her gentle faith and knowledge are somehow giving him hope he can change his life—and offer her the love she truly deserves. But when his secrets catch up with him, can he and Mary find the courage to face the truth, set things to rights . . . and make way for a future together?

My Review:
I really liked Mary she was this spit fire and she really was reserved but had an amazing group of friends and family that had her back and would help her with anything. She also knew when to fight for what was right. I was not a real big fan of Clay I felt he tried to be the martyr the whole story and after a while he just became annoying. I LOVED Cathy she hands down made this book, she had me laughing and also gasping at things that was coming out of her mouth, you defiantly knew where you stood with her for sure. I also loved Mary's sister's they were so fun. Overall this was a fun read and a clean read, however there are some very tough topics discussed so may not be suitable for all readers.

And he’s helpless to stop the freefall. As they continue working closely together, Carly and Lucas realize they may have found something more precious than gold. Yet it’s only a matter of time before Carly—or, worse, someone she loves—gets hurt.

My Review:
I could not put this book down, it was so good and literally had me on the edge waiting to see what was going to happen next. There was one person in the end that I so wanted to know what happened with her, so to be honest it left me wanting so much more from this family. I loved Mary and Carly they had the biggest hearts and really wanted what was best for everyone. This family was small but very mighty. Lucas was so judgey at the beginning however you can see throughout the book what he was that way and how he works through it and you really get to see a side of a character truly grow. His relationship with his brother was so close and they really were there for each other no matter what. The mystery behind the story was so fun and will keep you guessing from the very start. Overall this book was well worth the read and I could not put it down.

Lost in a vortex of other people's career milestones, engagement parties and baby showers, Josie is perennially single, abandoned by her globetrotting family, and invisible to her boss - except for the one time he tuned in while she was mid-panic-attack on live TV. As punishment, Josie is shipped off to cover another reporter's six-month leave at a regional bureau in Newcastle.

But Josie has more waiting for her in Newcastle than yawn-inducing stories about bicycle lane protests. The city is also the domain of Zac Jameson – her best friend since high school. This should be a happy turn of events, but Zac has barely spoken to Josie for the past two years. Not since a tragic event caused him to leave Sydney to try and cope with his grief.

Now thrown back into each other's lives, Josie and Zac have to navigate their neglected friendship and secret attraction to each other while struggling with their careers and mental health.

My Review:
This book was not for me. I will start off saying I have never read anything by this author so I was excited to check this book out. However the way the story was told was just to much, There are 44 chapters and and Epilogue in the book every other chapter is in the past it jumps around I found this to be distracting not always easy to keep up with, and yes the chapters are labeled but still found this too be annoying. I wish the author would have either picked the past or the present but not try and squeeze both into the story this way. For grown adult I found Josie acting like a young girl in high school or early college years. I found Zac standoffish and just overall annoyed at Josie no matter what she did for most of the story. The story is told from Josie's point of view. Overall like I stated this book was not for me and I really struggled with even finishing it.

My Review:
I could not put this book down there where so many twist and turns I wasn't sure what was going to happen next. While some of the story was calm/slow pace even in this moments made you wonder who was after Lainie. I liked Lainie even though with her family she was a "push over", I feel like we all have those moment so it made her very relatable. James was very reserved but the author made who so relatable as well. I will say I want to know more about Cole he was so active in this book it leaves you wanting more from him. Overall this book was a great read and the author kept it clean so suitable for all those suspense readers out there.
