Last Dance with the Texas Bull Rider Rebecca Crowley

 Description:

She was always the ‘perfect’ Star—until she fell…

Jessa Star danced her way to the perfect ballet career, and when injury cut it short, she returned to Last Stand, Texas to open a dance studio—the perfect back-up plan. She’s convinced everyone she’s perfectly happy and perfectly fulfilled, and she’s confident the secret that could blow up her life is perfectly concealed—until her wildly imperfect bull-rider husband careens into town.

Happy-go-lucky Caleb “Calamity” Ross may not be a top-tier rodeo cowboy, but he doesn’t mind. His life on the road is fun, free, and fast enough to outrun his toxic upbringing. But when a bad wreck at the Last Stand Rodeo puts him in the hospital, he wakes to find his runaway bride by his side—the one woman who might matter enough to stop him in his rambling tracks.

Their marriage was a joke, but there’s nothing funny about their connection, or the threats they pose to each other’s futures. The clock is ticking on their wedding bells, and they’ll have to decide whether to say ‘I do’ again—or say goodbye.

My Review:
I was excited to read this book  because the first few were such a fun reads and I couldn't wait to see what the sisters were up too. I like Jessa while you can see she struggled with self confidence like most women do but it totally made her feel 100% relatable. She was also a fighter she fought for what she felt was right to her bones. Caleb had to grow on me some while I love a good cowboy in a story I felt like he just did not fit that tough exterior, honestly it felt like he had nothing else in life so he fell back on the one thing that would be an adventure. Eventually his shell was cracked and you got to see the real him for who he was, which was this fun loving guy with a big heart. Overall I really did enjoy the story. There is sexual content in the story so it may not be suitable for all. Also I loved Amy she's a spitfire and one not to mess with.
Spoil alert:
I will say the situation that has played out in the other two books with the aunt and cousin from the girls mom's was kind of anti-climatic to me.

When her big-city outsider opponent begins wooing her constituents with lies, Georgia knows she has to stop playing nice. Cyrus “Cy” Powell is a property mogul, rancher, and entrepreneur—and a scion of Last Stand’s most notorious criminal family. Despite his legit success he’s never outrun his last name, so when Georgia asks for his help, Cy decides a fake relationship is the perfect pretext to infiltrate her world.

Dating Cy will connect Georgia with her voter base, and squiring Georgia through her influential social circles will polish Cy’s reputation and facilitate his latest business deal. Their chemistry is undeniable, but as the election looms, they’ll need to decide if their fake alliance is real and where their loyalties lie.

My Review:
You take two people from opposite sides of the "track" throw them together and you get this fun read. I liked Georgia and her sisters, Georgia seemed like one of those people who if pushed into a corner it was only then she would come out fighting with all her might. Her and her sisters were everything to each other and there was not stopping them from helping each other out or calling each other out. Cy while some times he whined about his upbringing he wasn't annoying about it, it truly shaped the adult he was. He wanted what was best for his brother and nothing was going to stop him from doing that including the law. I loved that Cy gave push back to everyone it showed he was a fighter and would do what's it s right. Overall this book was a fun read the characters were always up to something and the author throw a twist in to keep things lively and keep you guessing. There is sexual content in the story so it may no be suitable for all but it was worth the read.

Texas Cowboy Sweetheart Rebecca Crowley

Description:

The land they love might tear them apart…

Josie Star knew one day she’d step into her father’s boots and take over the Lone Star Ranch, but she hadn’t expected it to happen so soon. When her father collapses, she trades her corporate desk for a dusty tractor to shoulder the legacy of generations of Jewish Texans. She’s ready to take her place in the Lone Star’s history – with a little help from Easton McKinney. The ranch foreman is her lifelong best friend – and a man for whom her feelings once ran much deeper.

The Lone Star gave Easton the stable home his upbringing lacked, but when Josie returns, the dirt beneath his boots crumbles. She broke his heart when she left – and now she’s his boss. He’ll help her find her feet, but he won’t abandon his dream of running his own ranch. Maybe her homecoming is the kickstart he needs to finally move on from the Lone Star – and from her.

When Josie uncovers troubling family secrets, she needs Easton more than ever. But can he stay knowing she’s forever out of reach?

My Review:
I liked the way the book started off, however as it went one I was not a fan. I liked Josie she was this strong headed, independent women ready to drop everything and help her family when needed. I found Easton entitled and a bit of a jerk who. I found that one Josie and Easton were in the same space they acted more like teenagers then grown adults, constantly taking digs at each other and beating around the bush instead of just speaking from the heard how they felt. I did not like Amy either she was annoying always had to be right and all out acted like a spoiled brat. Overall this book was not for me.
