Only You, Denise Grover Swank

What's the book about:

A Bachelor Brotherhood Novel
Never say never . . .

Romance isn't an option for Holly Greenwood. With her wedding planner career on the line she needs to stay focused, and that means pleasing her demanding boss, not getting distracted by her mind-alteringly hot neighbor . . .

Ex-Marine Kevin Vandemeer craves normalcy. Instead, he has a broken-down old house in need of a match and some gasoline, a meddling family, and the uncanny ability to attract the world's craziest women. At least that last one he can fix: he and his buddies have made a pact to swear off women, and this includes his sweetly sexy new neighbor.

After one hot night that looks a whole lot like a disaster in the light of day, Kevin and Holly are about to learn that true love doesn't play by the rules . . .

My thoughts on the book:

Kevin has come home from the Marines and his last girlfriend, and his sister has the biggest surprise for him. In the mean time he has sworn off women and when he meets his neighbor he knows he has to get to know her. When he finds out who she is he knows he needs to know her just that much more.
But will he be able to open his heart and let his walls down or will he end up screwing up and loosing it all? Holly is in her dream job just not with a dream boss. She has a big wedding coming up and she can't disappoint the client or her boss but she feels the tension between her boss and her and knows something is up, but will she do just about anything to keep her job? She hooks up with her neighbor and finds out who he is and needs to keep the distance it just one more thing keeping her from making the best for her grandma. Will she be able to keep her heart guarded and her walls up or will her neighbor knock down on her walls?
I had fun reading this book, the author takes moments and in those moments she puts in the funniest things at that perfect time and has you laughing out loud. The storyline is so good and keeps you drawn in to the point that you feel like you are catching up with friends instead of reading a story. Its completely enjoyable and a super quick read. I  did not expect the ending such a surprise and it tied the book up completely, I really could not see the book ending any other way. I can't wait to read more from this author and this series.
*This book does contain strong language and adult scenes.

Standing on the Edge of Goodbye, Mary Alford

What's the book about:
She gave up everything in the name of love and it almost cost Kate Alexander her life. Now alone and pregnant, Kate is desperate to reach the one person who matters most in her life. Her Grandmother Rachel.
After the death of his son, Matt Stevens checked out on life and God, but when Kate shows up at his doorstep desperate and sick, Matt finds himself wanting to help her. Is it just for Rachel’s sake? While he loved Rachel like a family member, lately since Kate’s entrance into his life, he finds himself thinking about things he’d written out of his life. Things like love and a future with Kate and her child.
Is it possible for two broken people to rebuild their lives and start over? Can Matt accept the second chance at happiness Kate can provide? Can Kate trust Matt when he tells her love isn’t supposed to hurt?

My thoughts on the book:
Kate feels like she is still on the run and she needs to get to her grandma the one person that keeps her grounded and matters the most to her. Matt is dealing with the lost of his son and he is not to happy when Kate shows up on his doorstep. But when Kate seems like she needs his help he reluctantly helps her but he wonders why. Will they be able to help each other or will a potential loss send them both in different directions?
I loved this book it was amazing. Its a quick read but pact for of adventure and an amazing story. I had a hard time putting this down for any reason. I found my self at the end wishing for more only because it was that good not because the book ended in a cliffhanger. I really enjoyed how the author wrote about some tough subjects but showed even in the midst of it all Kate continue to fight the battle she was given. Matt was a tough cookie sometimes I wanted to just smack him up side his head but other times I just loved the person he was becoming. There really was nothing about the book I did not like. You really can not go wrong with this fun clean read.

Love on Lavender Island, Lauren Christopher

What's the book about:

What’s worse than Paige Grant getting stuck in a window while breaking into her late grandmother’s Lavender Island ranch? Being discovered—and saved—by next-door neighbor Adam Mason. The Grants and Masons haven’t exactly been friendly in recent decades, despite Paige’s teenage crush on handsome, standoffish Adam. But the down-on-her-luck actress now needs more than saving: she wants to use part of Adam’s property to pull off a dramatic wedding for her idol, screen legend Dorothy Silver, in exchange for a movie role that could make her dreams come true.
Adam has been struggling with emotional and financial burdens inherited from the recent death of his father. Yet he reluctantly agrees to help Paige prepare the ranch for the wedding. As they continue to spend time together, sparks fly. But Paige is troubled by a secret that could ruin any hopes they have for a future together. When fire destroys the land that holds the key to both their dreams—and the secrets they carry make tensions run even hotter—can love rise from the ashes on Lavender Island?

My thoughts on the book:

Paige is back at Lavender Island and she has a sole purpose in mind getting Adam to hold off selling so that she can plan a wedding of the lifetime and save her mom's business. When she comes face to face with Adam she wonders if her feeling for him can stay buried and they can work together to make this wedding happen. When things start happening and she is forced to spend more time with Adam she wonders if her moms right if she can really trust him. Adam has never like Paige's mom Ginger he feels like she ruined his life. With his dad gone and his own set of plans and secrets he wonders if he can avoid her completely, but when things start happening at her grandmothers house he knows he needs to help her but with his guard up he starts to wonder if this is a good idea and how much he can trust her. Will they learn to trust each other before its to late or will another tragedy send them in different directions?
At first I thought this book was going to be a super fun read, but that quickly changed it seemed to repeat it self a lot and that drove me nuts. I felt like I kept loosing my self only to have read the same thing over. How ever half way through that did seem to change and the book draws you in and has you changing the pages to see what these fun characters were up to and what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the last half of the book, if seemed to flow a lot better and has some fun adventures. I think if your patent this book could be a pretty good book. There is some strong language in this book but its very small amount which was nice as well.   Over all I give this book a three and half stars.

5a. One a Ring and a Prayer,
5b. Be my Valentino,
5c. From Bags to Riches

5a. Twelve years of marriage, 4,000 square feet of dream house, and a handsome husband. Jessie Stanton has it all… until one fateful afternoon when she notices her BMW bouncing by the window behind a tow truck. Her husband has gone, and he’s taken it all. The whirling tornado that cuts down the life she’s built drops Jessie onto the sandy beach of Malibu with a thud, penniless and alone. When all she’s left with are the designer labels in her closet and the dreamy Neil Lane rock on her finger, Jessie tries to make ends meet by pawning her prized ring to fund a new business venture: a small shop where her designer duds and shimmering accessories are temporarily leased out to Southern California women with champagne tastes but root beer realities. As Jessie tries to rebuild, she realizes she can’t move on, not without answers. Reluctantly, Jessie turns to beach bum/private investigator Danny Callahan for help. But is she staking her future success and happiness…on a ring and a prayer?

5b. Now that the whole truth has come out about her husband’s double life—including the fact that she and Jack were never legally married—Jessie is standing on her own for the first time in her life. As she struggles to put Adornments, her rental store for designer labels, on the map in Tinsel Town, her relationship with private investigator Danny Callahan gains momentum. When she dresses a reluctant Danny in Valentino for undercover work at a formal affair, it’s him rather than her store that captures Hollywood’s notice. Danny, snapped by photogs, lands as the unlikely cover model on the front of L.A. Magazine. So much for inconspicuous. Will his popularity thwart her efforts to grow her business? Or worse, can Jessie afford to put her faith—and heart—into another relationship when she’s so obviously handicapped in the good judgment department?

5c. Jessie Hart worked so hard to put her Louisiana roots in the rearview mirror and her Adornments boutique on the map. So when renegade “husband” Jack turns up again, the new and improved Jessie catches his attention. As he fights through his residual legal battles, he makes every effort to win her back and marry her for real this time... before Danny gets the chance.
When a celebrity stylist with her own reality show makes Adornments a hot spot, Jessie’s hard work is finally paying off. But amid award shows and photo shoots, Jessie’s beloved grandfather is diagnosed with cancer and she’s nudged back to the Louisiana roots she worked so hard to escape. Now, in her quest to find the success, true love, and faith that has always eluded her, will God really lead her right back home?

Since Cara left Cartwright a little more than a year earlier, not much has changed. Except her life is in shambles, her heart broken and the man she thought she had left behind is standing before her claiming to be a changed man.

This book is was short and sweet. While this book a love story this book is not from a place of frills but both people are coming from a place of brokenness and trying to move into a healing place. I just enjoyed that alone. Check out Mary on her website and you can purchase this book at Amazon.com.

7.Wedding Date Kelly Eadon
  • Kate Massie has big dreams-they just haven't worked out. Yet. In the meantime, she spends her days clerking for a judge and her nights fantasizing about her tall, dark, and sexy gym crush. So when she runs into him one night, she's shocked to realize he was her shy, nerdy junior-prom date. But that isn't where the surprises end . . .   James Abell needs a date to his sister's wedding. Only it doesn't feel fake-not the toe-curling kisses and definitely not the electricity. Neither of them is looking for something real . . . but they just might fall for their own little white lie.
While this book has some strong language I loved these fun and crazy characters it had me laughing at there antics and the fun crazy ideas that are up to. I believe this is Kelly's first book I know its a first for me and I can't wait to read more from her. Check her out on her website and go purchase this book at Amazon.com.

When the marriage proposal from John Willis does not materialize, Mary Ann is left grief-stricken and humiliated as the Amish community begins to gossip about their relationship. In the meantime, a broken-hearted Eleanor learns that Edwin is engaged to another woman. Will admitting her affections for him result in the marriage proposal Eleanor has always desired?
I just love me a good amish book but this one did not disappoint at all in fact the night I finished it I went and got 3 more from this author. This group of book is call the Jane Austin books and while I have never read Jane Austin I really enjoy this book and can't wait to read an review the others this summer. 9. Deadlock Diann Mills
  • Two murders have rocked the city of Houston. Are they the work of a serial killer, or is a copycat trying to get away with murder?  That is the question facing Special Agent Bethany Sanchez, who is eager for her new assignment in violent crimes but anxious about meeting her new partner. Special Agent Thatcher Graves once arrested her brother, and he has a reputation for being a maverick. Plus, their investigative styles couldn’t be more opposite: he operates on instinct, while she goes by the book.  When hot leads soon fizzle out, their differences threaten to leave them deadlocked. But an attempt on their lives turns up the heat and brings them closer together, and a third victim might yield the clue that will help them zero in on a killer. This could be the case of their careers . . . if they can survive long enough to solve it.

While this is part of a series you won't regret reading all of them, the first two are on the edge of your seat while this one was not it still keeps you going to the end. It does draw you in and you keep wanting to know what happens. Check out Diann and her books on her website you can purchase this series at Amazon.com.

He too would like to find a lifetime companion, a marriage like his parents have. When Evie arrives in Carin, Illinois, it's to help launch a new task force dedicated to reexamining unsolved crimes across the state. Spearheading this trial run, Evie will work with the sheriff's department on a couple of its most troubling missing-persons cases. As she reexamines old evidence to pull out a few tenuous new leads, she unearths a surprising connection . . . possibly to a third cold case. Evie's determined to solve the cases before she leaves Carin County, and Sheriff Thane, along with his family, will be key to those answers.

Montana Skies Mary Alford

What's the book about:

Cara Stevens is finally coming back home to Cartwright, Montana. But will she find the place she longs from her childhood or a past without hope.
Since Cara left Cartwright a little more than a year earlier, not much has changed. Except her life is in shambles, her heart broken and the man she thought she had left behind is standing before her claiming to be a changed man.

My thoughts on the book:

Cara had taken off about finding out the truth about her marriage, or what she thought was the truth. She is not back and she has some deep dark secrets that she knows she needs to keep close to her heart. But will she be able to keep those close to her heart and try to become friends with her ex husband?  Jase has some demons he's fighting and when and accident wakes him up he knows its time for a change or he's going to kill himself. When his wife comes back into his life he hope they can amend these but he's wondering if he lost her forever. Will he be able to keep his own secrets and win Cara back or will the past just be to much for both and they can only be friends?
Such a sweet love story I really enjoyed it. I felt like from the beginning this was not your typical love story. In some stories one of the characters has issues and the heron steps in and fixes it, in this story the author did an amazing job of telling a story from the brokenness of two broken people who have to work together towards forgiveness and friendship. I enjoyed that everything seemed really and natural and didn't seem rushed. This really is just a sweet story and you can't go wrong with it. Its a quick read but well worth every bit of it.

Unbreak My Heart Nicole Jacquelyn

Whats the book about?

What do you do when your soul mate marries your best friend?

If you're Kate Evans, you keep your friend Rachel, bond with her kids, and bury your feelings for her husband. The fact that Shane's in the military and away for long periods helps-but when tragedy strikes, everything changes.
After Rachel, pregnant with her fourth child, dies in a car accident and the baby miraculously survives, Kate upends her entire life to share parenting duties. Then on the first anniversary of Rachel's death, Kate and Shane take comfort in each other in a night that they both soon regret.
Shane's been angry for a year, and now he feels guilty too - for sleeping with his wife's best friend and liking it . . . liking her. Kate's ability to read him like a book may have once sent Shane running, but their lives are forever entwined and they are growing closer.
Now with Shane deployed for seven months, Kate is on her own and struggling with being a single parent. Shane is loving and supportive from thousands of miles away, but his homecoming brings a betrayal Kate never saw coming. So Kate's only choice is to fight for the future she deserves - with or without Shane.

My review of the book?

Kate has always been in love with Shane but now that he's married to her best friend she knows that the only she can do is continue to be aunt Kate to her best friends kids. It's not like it matters much anyway Shane has always hated her. After Rachel dies unexpectedly Kate bonds grows even more with her and Shane's kids, but when Shane treats like hired help Kate is torn between staying to help with the kids or going on her way without them in fear of losing them completely. Shane is morning the loss of his wife and has had it with his wive's best friend always around but he knows he needs her there for the kids as he sets to go on deployment. After she drops a bombshell on him he wonders what more he could dislike her for after all its always been her fault right? Well, he is able to see past his grief and he and Katie work together to be amazing parents to the kids or will he finally push one too many buttons and push Katie away for good?
I usually don't like books that are told in a first person, however in this book the author did a good job at giving a perspective from both main characters. Each chapter was broken up to show Kate's view then Shane's view. I didn't not like Shane at all even in the end, to me he was a huge jerk who had an abusive behavior and it seemed that in his eyes Kate could never do anything right. Kate's no-nonsense attitude just made me love her, at the end of the day you always knew where she stood. While she took a lot of crap from a lot of people in her life she still seemed like a very strong independent woman. I loved all the kids and there personality and how big of a role their little lives played in the book. The story is about loss and family and is a quick read I had a hard time putting it down once the story picked up, the storyline is well put together and keeps you drawn in.
   *Strong Language throughout

Hot Cowboy Nights Carolyn Brown (Lucky Penny Ranch Book#2)

What's the book about:

LET'S GIVE 'EM SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT . . .
If gossip is the lifeblood of a small town, then Lizzy Logan has been its beating heart. After being dumped by her fiancé for another woman, she could have decided to crawl under a rock. But no, she'd rather really set tongues wagging by "moving on" with one of the hottest cowboys in Texas, who happens to live next door at the Lucky Penny Ranch. Those busybodies don't have to know it's actually all pretend. And just because Lizzy has no aim to tame her wild, blue-eyed neighbor doesn't mean she can't enjoy the ride of her life.

Toby Dawson never was and never will be the settling-down type. But what harm could there be in agreeing to be Lizzy's pretend boyfriend? They'll put on a show for a few weeks and be done. Yet the more he gets to know Lizzy-really know her-the harder it is for him to keep his hands off of her in private. Soon this rough-and-ready cowboy is hoping to heal Lizzy's bruised heart and turn their fake affair into a true romance . . .

Also in the Lucky Penny Ranch series:
Wild Cowboy Ways
Merry Cowboy Christmas
Wicked Cowboy Charm

My thoughts on the book:

Lizzy and Toby are thrown together at there siblings wedding and if just so happens to be the day that Lizzy's receives a call from her ex breaking things off with her. After a quick few weeks affair Toby and Lizzy realize they are not meant for each other an they break things off and decide to be friends. Once word gets out that Lizzy's ex is coming back to town with his new "wife" Lizzy's brother-in law, sister and friend hatch a plan that put Toby and Lizzy back together in a "fake" relationship for the next 6 weeks till this is all over with. Toby wonders if he can make it the next 6 weeks without any sexual contact with a girl, and Lizzy wonders if this plan will just blow up in there face quicker then the gossip about it can spread. Will they join forces and stop the gossip mongers or will it all come crashing down when a storm comes barreling there way?
I really really enjoyed this book what a fun read. I loved the small town feel of the book with all the crazy gossip mongers. I loved how the book for the most part was a clean love story and it focused on the crazy going on around the main characters and not just the sexual aspect that could have played out. Even though Mitch wasn't huge in the book as far as his interaction I came to really dislike him quickly in the book the author did an amazing job with the storyline and his whole. The author did an amazing job with telling a fun story and keeping it really while adding drama and craziness to it all and keep it natural. If you are looking for a story that will make you laugh and make you feel like you are catching up with your friends then this is the story for you and you won't regret reading it.

Too Hot to Handle Tessa Bailey

What's the book about:
The road trip was definitely a bad idea. Having already flambéed her culinary career beyond recognition, Rita Clarkson is now stranded in God-Knows-Where, New Mexico, with a busted-ass car and her three temperamental siblings, who she hasn't seen in years. When rescue shows up---six-feet-plus of hot, charming sex on a motorcycle---Rita's pretty certain she's gone from the frying pan right into the fire . . .

Jasper Ellis has a bad boy reputation in this town, and he loathes it. The moment he sees Rita, though, Jasper knows he's about to be sorely tempted. There's something real between them. Something raw. And Jasper has only a few days to show Rita that he isn't just for tonight---he's forever.

***
The Romancing the Clarksons series
Book 1 - Too Hot to Handle (Rita and Jasper)
Book 2 - Too Wild to Tame (Aaron and Grace)
Book 3 - Too Hard to Forget (Peggy and Elliot)
Book 4 - Title TK (Belmont and Sage)

My thoughts on the book:

Tragedy strikes the Clarkston family again mainly Rita this time, when her mom's restaurant catches fire she knows it's time for a change and she doesn't know that that change is going to be. When she finds her mom's journal she sets out with her siblings on a road trip each has there own plans with the end results of them ending up in New York for there mom's final wishes.
When they break down everything states to change in Rita's world and she's starting to wonder where her next stop will take her.
Jasper is sick of being known as the town tramp and he is ready to start as a new life and see other options in his life. He has one person he is set to prove he did good and he is set to continue to have lunches with Grandma. When he is on the way to have lunch he sees Rita's family broken down and he knows he needs to stop when she catches his eye he knows he needs to take this slow or reputation will still be true. Will they both be able to find were they belong before its so late.

I am not sure where I stand with this book..... While I found the storyline well written and it draws you in, and leaves you wanting more. The story gives you an amazing group of fun characters from grouchy to right down ornery and funny. I enjoyed the banter and relationship with Jasper's grandma and her role in the book it wasn't this flamboyant personality you would expect from a star but its just perfect and you know where she stands. What I didn't like is I felt the language was super strong and on almost every page. I felt that if it was calmed down and not used as often then the book would have been that much better. Over all the book was a decent read just feel it could have been a little better with less curse words.

Deadlock DiAnn Mills

What's the book about:
Two murders have rocked the city of Houston.

My thoughts on the book:

This book is about two FBI agents who are pared up on their first case together and office rumors have them both wondering if this is going to be a good fit. Bethany has some struggles she is dealing with, with her family and she knows she needs to set them aside and focus on the case. It seems she just can't shake the drama. Thatcher has his own set of family issues he's dealing with the loss of his dad and he knows there is some unfinished business but he knows he needs to focus on his new parter and this case and find the person who is out to kill them and the people of Houston. Well they be able to set their personal feeling aside a get through this case or will it all just blow up?

Once I realized this was part of a series I grabbed the other two books and read those first, they were outstanding, so I expected nothing less from this book. I have to say I was a little disappointed in this book, it was not a really "on the edge of your seat" kind of book like the first two. While the book did have some moments of "oh I need to know what happens" I felt like it lacked something. I also felt this book was a lot more predictable the the other two. The end I did not see it playing out the way it did, it did have a remarkable end that was BAM. I will say that there was a part in the book that the author seemed to spend some time on and never followed back up on. Over all I would say while there are some cons to this book there are more pros and the book is worth the read.

What's the book about:

After a whirlwind romance, Taryn Young is preparing to board a plane at Houston International Airport, bound for a dream honeymoon, when a bomb decimates the terminal. Injured but still alive, she awakens to discover her husband is missing and they’re both considered prime suspects in the attack. Further, the FBI is convinced her husband isn’t who he appears to be.

Agent Grayson Hall’s number-one priority is to catch those responsible for the day’s act of terror. All evidence is pointing to Taryn and her new husband. But his instinct tells him her pleas of innocence are genuine. Is her naiveté just for show, or could she truly be another victim of a master scheme, possibly linked to the software she recently developed for her company?

With both their lives and reputations on the line, and the media outcry for justice increasing with each passing minute, Taryn and Grayson have no choice but to trust one another . . . and pray they can uncover the truth before they become two more casualties.

My thoughts on the book:

Taryn is so happy in love and so glad to be on the way out of town to her honeymoon and enjoy her time with her new husband. There is something a miss at work and she knows that even though its her honeymoon she is going to have to do a little bit of work. While at the airport things turn so quickly she finds herself waking up in a hospital and the FBI after her. She knows she needs to get out of there and find her husband so they can prove they are innocent but others have plans for her and she's not sure if she will survive but she will not go down without a fight.
Greyson has been running from his past and he now has started thinking more and more  about it, however when things blow up he now has to focus on the case in his hands. He realizes somethings a miss and there may be a leak and he is not sure who to trust but he knows he has to protect the witness but will they be able to survive or will the killers get them first.
I really enjoyed this book from the first page to the very end. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and has you turning the pages to find out what happens. You really can not go wrong with the book. The story line is well written and there is not a duel moment in the book.

Trial and Tribulations Rachel Rylan

What's the book about:
A Windy Ridge Legal Thriller #1

High-powered attorney Olivia Murray faces the biggest test of her career when she is assigned to represent Astral Tech, a New Age tech company, in a lawsuit filed by its biggest competitor. While Olivia is accustomed to hard fights in the courtroom, she arrives in Windy Ridge and discovers there is much more to this case than the legal claims—forces of darkness are at work.

Windy Ridge quickly turns from quiet Chicago suburb to spiritual battleground, and Olivia must rely on her faith to defend against legal and spiritual attacks. Although they are enemies in the courtroom, Olivia finds a friend and unlikely ally in opposing counsel, Grant Baxter. Once a skeptic about faith, he ultimately comes to her aid when she needs it most.

The battle between evil forces heats up in and out of the courtroom, pushing Olivia to the breaking point. Will she be able to help good triumph over evil, or will the town of Windy Ridge be torn apart?

My thoughts on the book:
The battle has just begun....
Olivia is called in to be an attorney for a New age company in a lawsuit brought agains another New age company over an app and theft. Immediately she know that this is not going to be just any normal battle or cases and wonders if she should risk her job and call the superiors and be on the next flight home or should she stay and fight a battle that is not hers alone to fight. She's in more then just a legal battle but a spiritual one and wonders if she is strong enough or if old memories will come back and be to much, will she stay and fight the battle through or will she finally have enough and walk away? Grant is fighting a lawsuit with a new age company he doesn't believe in anything and really could careless about the going ons with this case he just knows he need to get through this one to get to the next one. But when "strange" things start happening he starts to question if there really is another power out there and if the battle is worth the fight. Will be find God before its to late or will the battle be his to fight alone?

This book is completely powerful and very deep so be prepared. The author keeps everything in layman's terms thought out the whole book so thats nice everything from the spiritual battle being fought to the lawsuit being fought. The battle between evil and good is through out the talk of seeing and feeling angels and demons is talked about in depth in this book. I am a strong believer in spiritual warfare so this book was just another eye opener of how when we dabble in things that we shouldn't such as witch craft and such there is consequences. If you are looking for a deep book full of adventure this book just might interest you. Also this book ends in a way that the battle is not over and there is more to come.

Kiss me that Way Laura Trentham

What's the book about:

A river divides Cottonbloom in two: the upscale enclave on the Mississippi side and the rundown, rough and tumble side in Louisiana. They’re worlds apart—but nothing can build a bridge like love…

Cade Fournette never had it easy Cottonbloom. He stuck around long enough to raise his orphaned siblings and then hightailed it out West—and never looked back. Even though he’s made a success of himself in Seattle, Cade never lost the toughness and the angry edge that helped him survive down South. His only weak spot: the girl he left behind…

Monroe Kirby came from the wealthy side of town, but that didn’t protect her from her mother’s drinking—or her mother’s boyfriend. It was Cade who did that, on a long-ago hot September night, before he disappeared…along with a piece of her heart. Now Monroe is a physical therapist who can fight for herself, and it’s Cade who could use some conditioning when he makes an unexpected return back home. Will he and Monroe pick up where they left off and finally explore their mutual passion—or will the scars and secrets of the past divide them once more?

My thoughts on the book:
With the two sides of Cottonbloom always seem to wanting to one up each other and thats the same coming into winning the festival. When Cade comes home not by choice but because of and accident and his brother all but forces him home to heal. When he walks back into Monroe's life she is caught off guard but puts her feelings aside and maintains the professional manner to help him heal. He has some secrets and is wondering if this secrets come out if it will destroy everything he has built up. Monroe has been hiding her secrets from everyone close to her but Cade but when he comes home after he just up and disappeared all those many years ago she tries to keep her walls up and as she is faced with helping the young girls in her town she is also faced with someone from her past who set to destroy. Will she and Cade be able to set aside the past and work together to make a better feature or will the secrets of their past be to over whelming and send one of the running?
I liked this book it was a fun read and a semi quick read. The story has a lot of sexual tension and build up through out the whole book. The storyline and the on going "fight" between the 'sips and the swap rats added some humor to the story through out including some intense situation. I was not a huge fan of Andrew or Sam, while Andrew did play a huge part as Sam did but the author did a good job making you really dislike them. There are some huge topics that are discussed alcoholism and abuse. I was a huge fan of Tally and Regan I can't wait to read their stories. I have a love hate relationship with Sawyer he has a big heart but he has a chip on his shoulder that make you want to ring his neck.
*This book has some adult scenes and is not for all readers.

But when an accident happens he wonders if he will loose the chance to get to know her forever or if he will be able to make things right with her and show her and her kids how much they are valued in the community.

Nicki has done it again, this book is amazing. I had a hard time putting it down and before you know it its over and you just are left wanting to reading so much more of these fun characters. I loved how its about family and creating family. I loved how you feel like you are catching up with a friend instead of reading a book. I loved everything about this book, I loved how everything seemed natural between the characters instead of in some books where it seems forced or not very natural. It really makes you want to read it again just to catch up with everyone again. This book will not let you down and will have you wanting more. I hope in the feature to read a story both Leah and Rachael stories.

Medical Judgement, Richard L. Mabry, M.D.

What's the book about:

Someone is after Dr. Sarah Gordon. They’ve stalked her and set a fire at her home. Trying to recover from the traumatic deaths of her husband and infant daughter is tough enough, but she has no idea what will come next. Her late husband’s best friend and a recovering alcoholic detective are trying to solve the mystery before it’s too late, but both appear to be vying for her affection as well. Sarah finds herself in constant fear as the process plays out.
As the threats on her life continue to escalate, so do the questions: Who is doing this? Why are they after her? And with her only help being unreliable suitors in competition with each other, whom can she really trust?

My thoughts on the book:

Sarah has lost it all her husband and daughter and she feels like she has lost herself. When someone sets out to destroy her, she starts to wonder what God has in store for her and if she will survive it or will she have to keep fighting the unknown. She also is starting to wonder if she is sending off the wrong signal to men because she just doesn't feel like something is right and her husbands best friend Kyle seems to want to take things further then she's ready and now she wondering who can she trust now that someone is set to torcher her. Will she get to the bottom or will she end up hurt or maybe dead?
This book was amazing, its not a love story at all. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and just when you think you have it figured out it throws something else at you. I really enjoyed this book its the first one I have read from this author and I must say I am not a fan of male authors there always seems to be some sort of disconnect in the stories I have read and this was not the case this story just was so amazing and well written I could not find one thing wrong with it that I didn't like. I liked how the author made the focus around Sarah but had other characters in the book who had struggles that added to her story. This book will keep you guessing all the way to the end even when you think you have it figured out be prepared for some twist and turns.
