Kiss me that Way Laura Trentham

What's the book about:

A river divides Cottonbloom in two: the upscale enclave on the Mississippi side and the rundown, rough and tumble side in Louisiana. They’re worlds apart—but nothing can build a bridge like love…

Cade Fournette never had it easy Cottonbloom. He stuck around long enough to raise his orphaned siblings and then hightailed it out West—and never looked back. Even though he’s made a success of himself in Seattle, Cade never lost the toughness and the angry edge that helped him survive down South. His only weak spot: the girl he left behind…

Monroe Kirby came from the wealthy side of town, but that didn’t protect her from her mother’s drinking—or her mother’s boyfriend. It was Cade who did that, on a long-ago hot September night, before he disappeared…along with a piece of her heart. Now Monroe is a physical therapist who can fight for herself, and it’s Cade who could use some conditioning when he makes an unexpected return back home. Will he and Monroe pick up where they left off and finally explore their mutual passion—or will the scars and secrets of the past divide them once more?

My thoughts on the book:
With the two sides of Cottonbloom always seem to wanting to one up each other and thats the same coming into winning the festival. When Cade comes home not by choice but because of and accident and his brother all but forces him home to heal. When he walks back into Monroe's life she is caught off guard but puts her feelings aside and maintains the professional manner to help him heal. He has some secrets and is wondering if this secrets come out if it will destroy everything he has built up. Monroe has been hiding her secrets from everyone close to her but Cade but when he comes home after he just up and disappeared all those many years ago she tries to keep her walls up and as she is faced with helping the young girls in her town she is also faced with someone from her past who set to destroy. Will she and Cade be able to set aside the past and work together to make a better feature or will the secrets of their past be to over whelming and send one of the running?
I liked this book it was a fun read and a semi quick read. The story has a lot of sexual tension and build up through out the whole book. The storyline and the on going "fight" between the 'sips and the swap rats added some humor to the story through out including some intense situation. I was not a huge fan of Andrew or Sam, while Andrew did play a huge part as Sam did but the author did a good job making you really dislike them. There are some huge topics that are discussed alcoholism and abuse. I was a huge fan of Tally and Regan I can't wait to read their stories. I have a love hate relationship with Sawyer he has a big heart but he has a chip on his shoulder that make you want to ring his neck.
*This book has some adult scenes and is not for all readers.
