Description:

The timeless romance, soaring passion—and gorgeous men—of Scotland come to modern-day America. And the rules of love will never be the same…

Izzy’s mother is so infatuated by the fellow that Izzy has to plan their annual Highland Games all by herself. Well, not completely by herself. The Highlander’s strapping young nephew has come looking for his uncle…

Alasdair Blackmoor has never seen a place as friendly as this small Georgia town—or a girl as brilliant and beguiling as Izzy. Instead of saving his uncle, who seems to be having a lovely time, Alasdair decides he’d rather help Izzy with the Highland Games. Show her how to dance like a Highlander. Drink like a Highlander. And maybe, just maybe, fall in love with a Highlander. But when the games are over, where do they go from here?

“Laura Trentham creates a romance that is both extremely sensual and phenomenal.”
Fresh Fiction

My thoughts on the book:

This book was super cute read. If I had describe it I would say it's like a fairy tale with a twist. I really loved the relationship between Isabel and Rose and I also loved the small town, as someone who grew up in a small town it was very easy to relate to the characters and the fun in the town. The author had a way or making you feel like you were right there in the mix of everything. I really enjoyed Alasdair and Gaerth as well the relationship was more of a parent child which was wonderful to read. This book was super hard to put down. I will say there is so adult language/ situations in the book so may not be suitable for all readers. That being said the chemistry truly jumped off the pages and unlike so book did not seem forced but very natural. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

My thoughts on the book:

This book was a very quick read, but remember good things come in small packages. I really enjoyed this story. There is "sex" or at least the innuendo's through out the book. However the story line is well written and so fun. I really liked Meredith and her wiling to fight strong attitude. I like that the author took 2 imperfect people and didn't try and make them perfect but made them feel very much like the average person on the street. I really overall enjoyed this fun read, grab it you won't regret it.  I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Each book in the Shades of Leverage series is STANDALONE:
* Slater's Revenge
* Dangerous Lies

My thoughts on the book:

If I had to choose a few words to describe this book they would be; intense, twisted and really good. Some fiction books when you are reading it you can see it happening, in this story some of it was so far fetched you know that’s why it’s fiction. But with the twist and turns in this story makes you wonder if just maybe this has happened to someone before. The author keeps you guessing and keeps you drawn in that’s for the hole book. I had the hardest time putting this book down, it truly seem to just fly. This book does have sec and adult language in it. This book for sure was really good. I wonder what OPAQUE will be up to next. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy Caitlin Crews- Cold River Ranch #2

Description:

A game of pretend with the highest stakes of all in the latest novel of breathtaking romance from USA Today bestselling author Caitlin Crews

Ty Everett ran off to the rodeo when he turned eighteen and has been riding bulls ever since…until his last fall causes partial amnesia and he must return to Cold River Ranch to figure out what comes next. But how can he pick his next move when he can’t remember how he got here in the first place—much less the beautiful woman who appears at the ranch, claims she knows him, and warms his cold heart for the first time since he woke up in the hospital?

Rodeo Queen Hannah Monroe gave up her crown for Ty Everett, and her innocence. What she wants from Ty now is a divorce. But Ty can’t remember her—or their secret wedding, or even the son she never meant to hide from him—and Hannah is torn. How can she leave the man she can’t forget and still loves despite herself? And even if she’s willing to start over, what will happen when the truth comes out?

“Caitlin Crews writes cowboys you’ll swoon over…and will grip your heart.”—Nicole Helm, author of Cowboy SEAL Redemption

My thoughts on the book:

When you take two very imperfect people you get this book. I really at first was not a fan of Hannah, she boarded on annoying and very very irresponsible. However as the story went on and things started to make more sense my view of her changed. I like Ty but I felt like sometimes I wanted to read through the pages and choke him and shake him a little. I really liked being able to catch up with Grey and Abby from book one and see how things were going in there lives. Overall I thought this story was cute and very fun to read. There is a sex scene if that's not your thing this book might not be for you or you could skip that part. I can't wait to see where the author takes Brady and follow up with this sweet but crazy family. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

He’s drawn to this fish out of water, but Valerie’s time in Last Stand has an expiration date.

Their sweet and saucy styles don’t mix, but can they both find the recipe to a happy future?

My thoughts on the book:

I thought this book was seriously such a cute read. I loved the togetherness of the small town in this book. I loved how Hutch wore his heart on his sleeved but also had this tough dude exterior to him as well. I liked how Valerie had this self discovery to her she worked hard to keep the goal she set but was also willing to face he new options as well. I liked that this was a good clean read. I have never read anything by this author and I can't wait to read more from her. This book was a quick read and you can't go wrong. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Cold Aim Janice Cantore (Line of Duty #3)

Description:

Police Chief Tess O’Rourke’s small town is still reeling from a devastating fire when the FBI asks for help: Could she shelter a witness in a high-profile human trafficking case? Initially reluctant to put the townspeople of Rogue’s Hollow at risk, Tess is swayed after she sees Pastor Oliver Macpherson’s genuine conviction to rescue those in need, a trait in him she’s coming to love more each day.

Tess’s fledgling faith is tested when crews of workmen from out of town come in to assist with the fire cleanup and she worries that one of these strangers might shine a light on things best kept hidden. Neither she nor Oliver knows that Rogue’s Hollow is already home to a suspect from a twenty-five-year-old murder case . . . and someone is taking cold aim at those Tess is sworn to protect.

My thoughts on the book:

Oh my gosh, this book was amazing. The author has you on the edge of your seat from the beginning to the end, and will keep you guessing just as long. I really liked this book, I had a hard time putting it down. I like Tess she's a stubborn, hard headed, independent person who will stop at nothing to protect those in her town and those she loves. I Loved Livie she was so amazing a strong too. I think so many books now a days make the men the hero, but I would have to say there were a lot of female heroes in this story. I felt like I was not reading fiction, but non-fiction in a sense. There were so very tough subjects in this story but things that are very much happening in every day life. I really had nothing bad to say about this book and I can't wait to read more from this author. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Layover David Bell

Description:

In this high concept psychological suspense novel from the USA Today bestselling author of Somebody’s Daughter, a chance meeting with a woman in an airport sends a man on a pulse-pounding quest for the truth.
Joshua Fields takes the same flights every week for work, his life a series of departures and arrivals, hotels and airports. During yet another layover, he meets Morgan, a beautiful stranger with whom he feels an immediate connection. When it’s time for their respective flights, Morgan kisses Joshua passionately, lamenting that they’ll never see each other again.

As soon as Morgan disappears in the crowd, Joshua is shocked to see her face on a nearby TV. The reason: Morgan is a missing person.

What follows is a whirlwind, fast-paced journey filled with lies, deceit, and secrets as Joshua tries to discover why Morgan has vanished from her own life. Every time he thinks one mystery is solved, another rears its head—and his worst enemy might be his own assumptions about those around him.

My thoughts on the book:

I was not a fan of this book at all. I felt like there was too much detail and I felt like in the beginning it would jump around a lot, it would start on one thought and jump to another. This book told in two different parts, most is told from a first point of view and then some are told from a third person point of view, kind of wish they author would have stuck with one or the other. This story was completely twisted and suspenseful for sure. The book has 85 chapters which through me too since most the chapters are no more then 3-4 pages each, I felt like at some point the author kept throwing situations or different scenario just to drag the book out long, some just made no sense at all.  This book was not for me at all and I didn't really like a whole like about it. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

When her past finally catches up with her, she'll have to decide whether to keep running, or fight for what's hers.

My thoughts on the book:

I read about Nevada in The Last True Cowboy and I was excited to see that she got her own book. I love how Nevada is this sassy and hard @ss who will do anything to protect those she loves. I really liked how in this story Nevada starts to show her soft side but is not afraid to let go of her hard side either even just for a minute. I like Joseph too, he seem to deal with his own demons and trying to face those as well. I really enjoyed this book it was so fun to read but also so emotional. This book does have sex in it but over all is a decent read. I can't wait to see where the author goes next in the town of Unforgiven and the small town of some crazy characters. if you are looking for fun read you won't regret grabbing this book. It is told in a first person. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.
