A Ruff Royal Christmas Karen Schaler

Description:
Princess Ava’s perfectly planned Christmas Eve charity event erupts into chaos when she loses Stormy, the Queen’s mischievous new border collie. With Christmas fast approaching, Ava must team up with Justin, a laid-back American dog trainer who’s used to wrangling strays, not royal runaways.

Sparks fly as Justin's rule-breaking free spirit clashes with Ava's determination to follow royal protocol. But when their search for Stormy takes them through glittering Christmas markets, festive holiday activities, and snowy winter wonderlands, an undeniable chemistry builds between them.

The more time they spend together, the harder it is to fight their growing attraction. But Ava’s already promised to a duke. Will she stay on the safe, traditional path…or risk it all and follow her heart?

This feel-good royal holiday romance is a Christmas romantic comedy packed with humor, heart, and holiday spirit, and a royal secret that flips the script. Because the best love stories can't be planned, and they never follow the rules.

Perfect for fans of Karen’s Netflix sensation
A Christmas Prince, her novel A Royal Christmas Fairy Tale, her novella Royal Extra After, and Casey McQuiston's, Katharine McGee's, Teri Wilson’s, and Jasmine Guillory’s royal romantic comedies.

My Review:
At first I thought oh man Ava is going to Miss stuck up with Miss know it all, and let me tell you I was wrong. She was so fun to read, while she kept her guard up with everyone as you read the story it makes a tons of sense why. I love how she serious when need be but also willing to laugh when she made mistakes that were not a big deal. Justin was so laid back, go with the flow but also struggled with a choice that would change his life and helping the queen he hoped would help but he did not know what he was getting into. I loved the queen, Lydia, Edgar, Stormy and Samuel I feel they all played such a huge part in the story and their personality shined so much which had you laughing through out the story because of the antics. Overall this was a fun read and the author did keep this a clean read and I would say well worth the read.

Snowflakes over Starr's Fall Kate Hewitt

Description:

Welcome to the magical town of Starr's Fall ❄️✨🤍

As the stars twinkle and the snow drifts over the town… someone’s about to find the magic she didn’t even know she’d been missing…

Jenna has lived in Starr’s Fall for most of her life, and has run the general store for over ten years. Secretly she might dream of love and romance, but she’s happy as she is. Really.

That is, until Starr’s Fall’s newest resident—ex-New Yorker, millionaire investment banker—Jack Wexler breezes into Jenna’s store, seemingly furious they don’t stock smoked salmon. Jenna is as amused as she is annoyed. Who is this ridiculous guy, and doesn’t he realize he’s not in Manhattan anymore?

Jack meanwhile can’t believe he lost it in public. But ever since being forced to leave his high-flying career to focus on his health, he’s not been himself. What’s more, the last person he’d expected to be attracted to is the shrew of a storekeeper he’s just encountered… which he might have called Jenna, in a moment of temper…

Neither of Jenna or Jack’s ideal of romance includes these sorts of furious sparks flying. But when they’re both roped in to organizing the town’s Winter Wonderland parade, they’re forced to work together. And as Christmas approaches – will two opposites merely attract? Or, in magical Starr’s Fall, could they fall in love for keeps?

A perfect, Christmas-set, enemies-to-lovers, small town romance, perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber and Virgin River, from million-copy bestselling author, Kate Hewitt.

My Review:
I will say I liked the simplicity of the way this author writes. This is the second book I have read in this series and from this author. I really liked the small town feel of Starr's fall you get the grouch, the matchmakers, the gossips and so on so on, I love that while everyone is in everyones business they will all watch out for each other if someone from the outside comes in and tries to hurt one. I was not a huge fan a Jenna in the first book I read I felt like she was so immature and in this story I felt like her actions made a lot more sense. I Liked Jack I felt like he met his match with Jenna I felt like while the two of them were water and oil they also could me sugar and cinnamon. I liked how big Jack's heart is when he allow people to see who he is. It was also fun to catch up with the others from the other books and I really enjoy the sassiness of each character. I will say in some ways I did feel that the author did over explain certain situations which made the book a little wordy. Overall the author kept this a clean read and it was a worth it read for me.

Playing for Keeps in Starr's Fall Kate Hewitt

     Description:

As the frozen earth gives way to the first spring crocuses, pushing their way into the warmer air, Maggie arrives in Starr’s Fall. She’s looking for a new start, with her lovable but painfully shy teenaged son in tow.

It feels like the odds are against her, but she’s determined to come out winning this time, and to fulfil her dream of opening up a board game café. But not everything’s a game, and when she finds herself attracted to a man who’s known as a different sort of player, she worries she’s setting herself up to lose.

Zach is funny, surprisingly geeky, and, most importantly, bonds with her son. But Zach is also drop-dead gorgeous, has a reputation around town, and is also ten years younger than her.

When he asks her out on a date, Maggie is totally thrown. She can’t deny she’s attracted to him. But is she ready to risk her heart with another roll of the dice?

A totally gorgeous, unmissable, small town romance, perfect for fans of the Gilmore Girls andVirgin River, from million-copy bestselling author, Kate Hewitt.

My Review:

This is a new author to me, and I enjoyed the story overall—it was a fun read. However, I did find that Maggie came across as more immature than her 40 years, acting in ways that didn't always match her age throughout much of the story. I really liked Zac, though. He didn’t put up with a lot from others, yet he had the biggest heart when it came to helping those in need—not just people he knew, but anyone who needed a helping hand, including a teenage boy looking for a friend. I loved the small-town feel of the story and the sense of community that Maggie and Ben joined. I also really liked Annie and hope her story gets told next; she has such a friendly, kind spirit about her. She had a gift for calling out things that didn’t seem right or didn’t feel right, seeing situations clearly and speaking up. The author kept this book a clean read, making it suitable for all readers.

FIRESTORM Lisa Philips

Description:
SECRETS. BETRAYAL. SACRIFICE.
THIS TIME, THEY'RE NOT JUST FIGHTING FIRE.

An original series created by bestselling authors Susan May Warren and Lisa Phillips.

He thought his life was over…and then she walked back in.

Charlie Benning has always been a rescuer—first with the Last Chance County Fire and Rescue team, and now as a firefighter with the Jude County Hotshots. But this summer isn’t about saving lives—it’s about hiding his own terrible secret. A secret he’s keeping from his estranged daughter, Alexis.

But fate is about to intervene.

Will their secrets destroy their second chance?

Jayne Price raised her son, Orion, on her own just fine, thank you. And now, she runs Wildlands Academy, a summer camp that teaches kids how to fight forest fires and confront their own teenage angst—kids like Alexis Benning, who clearly has a chip on her shoulder about her semi-estranged, firefighter father.

And Jayne has her own issues, like not wanting her only son to join the elite smokejumping corps. It’s enough that he’s risking his life as a hotshot on the Jude County team.

Then the wildfire turns its force onto the camp and suddenly the hotshots show up to help her fight it. Only problem…the last person she expects is for her former flame, Charlie Benning—the man she can’t forget—to show up working alongside her son.

Rather,
his son.

Who he doesn’t know exists.

And then Charlie discovers the secret she’s been keeping, and he’s torn between anger and the long-simmering love that refuses to die. And Jayne isn’t about to let go of the man she loves a second time. But if the blazing wildfire isn't enough, a dangerous and relentless killer is on the prowl in the woods…

Now, with the camp cut off from the outside world and the fire closing in, it’s a race against time as Charlie, Jayne, Orion, and a team of courageous smokejumpers join forces to protect the campers against a merciless inferno and a murderer. But the biggest threat of all might be Charlie’s devastating secret that could destroy the happy ending they’ve waited for so long.

Prepare for an edge-of-your-seat journey that will leave you breathless until the very last page, in book four of the Chasing Fire: Montana series.

Chasing Fire: Montana
Book 1: Flashpoint
Book 2: Flashover
Book 3: Flashback
Book 4: Firestorm
Book 5: Fireline
Book 6: Fireproof

My Review:
I feel with this series so far there is always a character that I can connect with as a reader and that was very much the case with this book as well. The author does a good job at making them feel so real. I liked Jayne her faith was as deep as her love for her son was and she truly just wanted what was best for him as well as the campers that she over saw. Charlie has a big heart but he keeps himself hidden the best way he can so not to hurt those he loves including his daughter. He gets in there and takes charge no matter the cost. I liked a lot of the sub characters in this book as well and can't wait to see what happens next. I will say the ending was not my favorite only because I left me wanting more and wondering what is going to happen, so I hope there is more to come with this group of friends in the rest of the series. Overall the author kept this a good clean read and it was well worth it.

But when a hurricane threatens the town and hospital, he and Elizabeth pull together to create a safety plan and soon the lines between professional and personal blur.

But when the skies clear and secrets and threats surround them, will their budding romance and fragile trust survive?

My Review:
This is a new to me author so I wasn't sure what to expect. This book is told in a first person point of view. I liked that Elizabeth was working and becoming a better person but she still felt very self centered for most of the book. I did like that she loved her sister wholeheartedly and only wanted what was best for her and her family and meant no ill will due to the circumstance of how the became family. Charlie was a strong character with a big heart for everyone. I liked the story overall however I felt like throughout the book the story did drag off and on. I also felt like the issue with one of the characters would have been made known early on it feel so trivial in the end. The author kept the story a clean read so its suitable for all readers.

My Review:
This is a new to me author and this book did not disappoint at all. I really loved that this was set in Alaska and the author did an good job making you feel like you were in the story. I like True there was not messing with her that girl was going to protect who she loves and cares about at all cost. I really liked her sidekick Bonnie because every person needs someone in their corner cheering them on. I liked Xavier he protected his brothers at all cost, he loved his little family that his mom created  and would do whatever needed to be done to protect them. His relationship with his grandmother and  Red was trying at times but he always did what he felt was right, he had the biggest heart and would take everyone at face value. Overall these two just felt very relatable and a fun read.

Each book in the Pine Creek Amish series is STANDALONE:
* Pine Creek Courtship
* Pine Creek Marriage
* Pine Creek Matchmaker

My Review:
I thought this book was super cute read. I found it easy to follow and easy to dive into. I did like Sadie and Grace they were two peas and a pod and just truly felt like sisters over best friends. They were both fun and super independent, Sadie was super straight lace and tried to stay as "perfect" as can be, why Grace was someone who like to have fun and live a little more. Caleb had a big heart but I did feel like he played "the Woah is me" card a little too much. I like how this group of friends continued to welcome people into their group and the author didn't make seem fake or forced. Over all the author Kept this book a good clean read so it will be suitable for all. It was a very lighthearted read for sure.

Through these people, and the determination of Detective Fellowes, she rediscovers her courage, self, and a reason to risk love again.

My Review:
I really liked this story I felt like it was original. I feel like lately so many stories are the same just change the name and location and that was not the case with this story. I love how the author kept it simple with a twist. I loved Natalie while she made a bad choices she had the biggest heart and would not stop at anything to help someone whether she knew them or not. Randy man he was fun character he was skeptical but that came with the job for sure. His sister was also a fun character. I really felt like I was catching up with friends and not reading a fiction story. Overall if you can't tell yet I loved this story and it was worth the read. Also the author kept it clean so it would be suitable for all readers.

Meanwhile, Samuel finds himself slipping further and further from his faith—to Eden’s dismay.

Both Eden’s and Samuel’s futures hang in the balance as they face decisions about who they are meant to be—both as individuals and together.

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book. I actually had a hard time putting it down. I really liked Eden she went through so much and was so wise beyond her years. She had the biggest heart, you really watch her grow up so much from the beginning to the end of this book. I felt like Samuel was quite immature but he was always willing to listen to those he respected and cared for. I loved Yvonne and Abraham now I did not read there story but they were the cutest couple and they were so patient and loving with Eden while she dealt with some big blows. Overall I would say this book will have you laughing and crying in the same chapter but its well worth it. This is a clean read and well worth it.

About as far as possible from life as she’s known it.

Cat’s world shifts from the swirling haze of likes and comments to literal blizzards of frostbite temperatures and waist-deep snow. In place of negotiating brand deals, she finds herself negotiating at the ledge of a frozen lake with her die-hard Polar Bear Plunge coworkers. Instead of padding through the marble kitchen of her Manhattan loft, she’s sharing a tent-sized cabin with a roommate eager to bond like characters in sitcoms. But something curious is also happening in this overwhelming breath of fresh air as she reacquaints with the most honest parts of herself and begins to ask the hard questions. Can Cat love herself with, and without, the world watching?

Then there’s that other tiny problem—she’s falling for Zaiah, the ruggedly handsome park ranger—and he hates anything remotely connected to social media, quite possibly her included.

Written with bestselling author Melissa Ferguson’s signature wit and charm, this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy of opposites attract is full of hilarious romp and a romance that will melt readers’ hearts.

My Review:
I will start off this book was not for me. I am from an older generation so I am sure this may be perfect for a younger generation. The book is told in a first person point of view. I felt that Cat came off as snobby, full of herself and annoying, its like she really could not see beyond herself. I like Mina she was my favorite character out of everyone. She seemed so down to earth and wanted to be everyone's friend, she just really wanted to see the best in everyone. Serena was a fun one as well she was more opposite to Mina, she was more in your face and she was not about to let any one get away with anything she called it like she saw it. Overall this book was kept clean so would be suitable for all readers.

The Wedding Ranch Nancy Naigle

Description:
A second chance at love awaits two brokenhearted people if they’re just willing to trust each other—and themselves, in USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle's The Wedding Ranch

When Lorri Walker’s husband gifted her with a mastiff puppy on Valentine’s Day, she believed he was recommitting himself to their marriage after going astray. Six months later, he left both her and their dog for someone else. Since her recent move to Dalton Mill to unbraid herself from the past, Lorri’s graphic design business is now flourishing, her growing mastiff, Mister, has plenty of space to romp, and her ex in Raleigh can fade to a distant memory.

Ryder Bolt is haunted by the tragic loss of his wife and young son seven years ago. Thankfully, ranching keeps Ryder busy, and spending time with his niece and nephew—whose venue, The Wedding Ranch, has become a popular tourist destination—keeps him from getting lonely.

When Lorri and Ryder met, love was the last thing they were looking for. When they’re together, smiles come easier and burdens feel lighter, and both are embracing the possibility of something deeper.

But when a long-buried revelation surfaces, the fate that brought them together threatens to tear them apart.

My Review:
This book was amazing, seriously had the hardest time putting it down, and then when it was over I just wanted so much more. This book had so many emotions in it. The author also did an amazing job at making you feel like you were right there in the story the whole time. I really like Lorri, she had this big heart and she was so relatable but she also came off as putting people at arms length, but that  felt like it was for the purpose of finding healing and forgiveness in the pain she face. Ryder was a big old grouch except when it came to family then he would do just about anything for them, His world stopped the day he lost his wife and son but his family and his small town was trying to help him find himself again. I loved Reece and Ross what amazing characters and they just felt so real. I really hope this is not then end of the story with these characters I am so ready for more. Overall I really could not say anything bad about this book it was worth the read hands down. I also liked that the author kept it clean so it would be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My Review:
I was not a huge fan of this book in the end. I felt like this book started off strong and then just tapered off. I really liked Isle she was full of spirit but my heart broke for her with the way her parents acted. I liked Theo as well I so wanted more of his story he seemed like he had such a big heart and really cared for those he loved. I found Levi to be a bit of a jerk and he was not my favorite. I did like Summer why she was running from her problems she was also finding herself and how to make a better life for her and those she loved. She was a fighter and would stop at nothing to protect those close to her. This is a clean read and suitable for all readers. Overall while I liked finding out more about The Blackwells this book just was not for me.

The Best Is Yet to Come Debbie Macomber

 Description:
When a woman alone in the world bravely chooses to open her heart, two lost souls have a new chance at belonging, in this intimate novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.

A new beginning in charming Oceanside, Washington, is exactly what Hope Godwin needs after the death of her twin brother. There are plenty of distractions, like her cozy cottage with the slightly nosy landlords next door, and a brewing drama among her students at the local high school.

Even having settled quickly into the community, Hope still feels something is still missing. That is, until her landlords convince her to volunteer at their animal shelter. There she meets Shadow, a rescue dog that everyone has given up on. But true to her name, Hope believes he’s worth saving.

Like Shadow, shelter volunteer Cade Lincoln Jr. is suffering with injuries most can’t see. A wounded ex-marine, Cade identifies with Shadow, assuming they are both beyond help. Hope senses that what they each need is someone to believe in them, and she has a lot of love to give. As she gains Shadow’s trust, Hope notices Cade begins to open up as well. Finding the courage to be vulnerable again, Cade and Hope take steps toward a relationship, and Hope finally begins to feel at peace in her new home.

But Hope’s happiness is put to the test when Cade’s past conflicts resurface, and Hope becomes embroiled in the escalating situation at the high school. Love and compassion are supposed to heal all wounds, but are they enough to help Hope and Cade overcome the pain of their past and the obstacles in the way of a better future?

My Review:
I really liked this book I really liked Hope and when life was rough for her she continue to rise above and try and make things better in her portion of the world. I liked Cade though even in one part of the book he came off like a toddler throwing a tantrum, he to continued to work on making a difficult situation into something better. This book follows not only Cade and Hope's story but those of Hope's students which right off the bat I thought was going to go one way and it didn't. However the author used and opportunity bring to light something I am sure is happening in schools everywhere. I loved the small town feel of the book and how you feel like you are there in the midst watching it all play out. Over all this book is a good clean read and well worth it.
