Description:

Los Angeles chewed him up, spit him out, and sent him back to square one. Amara Fowler has lived in the small beach town her entire life. She’s overcome her shyness to grow into the woman she always knew she could be, but she never forgot her secret crush. When the alluring Rafael returns, he can’t help but stir in her a whirlwind of old feelings. They’ve both changed so much. Has life kept them incompatible or has it molded them into a matching set? Seaside Kisses is the fourth standalone in the Seaside Hunters collection, a series of sweet contemporary romance novels. If you like falling head over heels for characters as they fall for each other, then you'll love the latest entry in this light, romantic series with just a hint of mystery.
My thoughts on the book:

This is the first book for me by both this author and this series and oh how fun it was. I love finding new authors and even more happy when I find a new fun series. This book reminding me a of the "ugly duckling" type story looking for her prince, while he was looking for the diamond in the rough. This book has a lot of fun, romance and some suspense thrown in. I really enjoyed how the Hunter's gathered around and stood strong no matter who faced what. I loved the relationship between Adam and Amara, they have this tight bond that was unbreakable no matter what happened or who was in their lives. This story has a huge sense of family and it just added a whole other element to the story over all. I loved how the author kept the story over all a clean read but there was this huge amount of organic chemistry jumping off the pages. If you are looking for a quick and fun read grab this book you won't regret it.

Head back to Pride Oregon to find out what some of your favorite Jill Sanders’ characters are up to.

Lilly Stevens didn’t have time to flirt anymore, and that was a real shame because the man of her dreams was right next door. Still, it was hard to say no to the blond-haired man with sexy green eyes and a killer smile. Not only was he gorgeous, but the man could make her laugh, and that was one of the most important items on her list of must-haves for potential loves of her life.

Corey and his twin, Carter, have finally achieved their lifelong dreams of being on their own. Finally, they can have a normal life, even if their dark history makes them leery of letting anyone in. But the little town of Pride has a way of shedding light in the darkest corners. Now, the sexy girl-next-door has caught his eye, but she’s too perfect for someone with his history, even if her slate eyes and lush pouty lips demand his attention.

My thoughts on the book:

This is my first book from this author and wow what a fun book. This is a third book in this series and I defiantly want to go back and read books one and two. This book seemed to fly once I started reading it. I really enjoyed the back in forth with Lilly's family, they may be big and nosey but at the end of the day they are there for her and Riley. I loved the bothers two no matter what they faced they faced it together and fought through the tough times. I really enjoyed how Corey had this cocky side to him but also had this sweet/kind side to him as well. The story line will have you on the edge of your seat some times and you never know what is going to happen next. This book does have adult situations and adult language in it. If you are looking for a really fun read that's quick grab this book you won't be disappointed. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

When she volunteers to help with the pageant, she doesn't expect to reconnect with her old high school heartthrob. Tucker McGrath has always been Mr. No-Strings-Attached, so he's definitely not one to fall for...or is he? The more time she spends with him, the more Kenna realizes Tucker has changed. And now he might just be the cowboy who can make all of her Christmas wishes come true.

My thoughts on the book:

I really enjoyed this book over all. I loved being able to catch up with the other characters from this series as well. I really enjoy when and author can take a child and have there personality shine through on the pages and the author did that with not just one child but three it added hugely to a fun story. This is a short read but packed with a lot fun and emotions you will find your self laughing and crying. Over all this book shows what Christmas, Family and forgiveness is all about. You will not be disappointed with this fun read. I think the only thing I did not like about this book is that it was too short. There is adult situations in this book. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Lethal Target Janice Cantore- Line of Duty #2

Description:
Police Chief Tess O’Rourke thought she’d taken care of her small town’s drug problem last year. But now Rogue’s Hollow residents are up in arms over a contentious vote on legalizing the sale of marijuana within city limits. And when an eighteen-year-old is found dead of a possible overdose, Tess wonders if the local pot farms might be involved and begins to fear that a new, deadlier drug supply chain has cropped up. As tempers flare and emotions boil over, Tess faces the possibility of losing the town’s support.

With her relationship to Sergeant Steve Logan on shaky ground, Tess could really use a friend, and she feels drawn to Pastor Oliver Macpherson’s quiet presence. But the anger she holds over her father’s death prevents her from embracing his faith and finding peace.

Battling storms within and without, Tess is shocked when a familiar face from her past shows up in town to stir up more trouble. And his threats against Tess may prove lethal.

My thoughts on the book:

So this is a first book for me by this author and I was not disappointed. This book had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. The use of drugs and how it impacts so many lives not just the users is very much talked about in this book. Towards the end when I thought the story was done I started to wonder what about..... don't worry if you get to the point to the author will surprise you with a huge shocker and its so worth it. I am not sure if its common with this author but if you are looking for a love story between the two main characters this is not the case. This book did not disappoint in the least and will have you guessing to the very end. I have not read the first book in the series but I plan to start that one soon, I can't wait to see what the author has plans for these characters.

My thoughts on the book:

The Way You Look at Me (A Sweet City Hearts Novella)-
I have only read The Way you Look at me by Allie Pleiter, I really enjoyed this sweet love story. I love how she takes two ordinary people and makes them extraordinary. This book is told from a first person stand point but in the end you miss nothing the author did a really good job at not leaving you wondering with either character. I really enjoyed the kids and the part they played in the book. This story is totally worth the read.

A Brilliant Christmas Allie Pleiter

Description:

Zoe Walters pours her heart and soul into the community arts center she runs. Her kids could benefit so much from the brilliant talents of animator Nigel Langdon—if he weren’t such a legendary grump. The next six weeks of his artist-in-residency look like they’ll ruin Zoe’s Christmas for sure. And certainly, things get off to a rocky start until Zoe discovers the great big heart—and the deep hurt—Nigel’s been hiding under that crusty exterior. It turns out Nigel can see through to Zoe’s deepest wounds as well. When the arts center is threatened, Nigel and Zoe come together not only to save the organization, but to discover a love and the brilliant Christmas no one ever expected.

My thoughts on the book:

This is the first book I have read from this author that was a First person point of view. This book was a fun read, it was also a super quick read. Zoe and Nigel both have such different lives where they are both faced with different trials but brought together to make a group of kids lives better. I do with in a sense she would have included Nigel's side of things he has a story that needs I would have love to hear a little more from him, but that being said nothing was lacking in this story either, hope that makes a sense . This book was totally worth the read and a super fun and clean read

Merrily Ever After: A Novella Jenny Holiday-Bridesmaids Behaving Badly

Description:
These newlyweds are in for a big surprise in this delightful holiday novella from the USA Todaybestselling author known for her "unputdownable contemporary romances" (Booklist).

Elise Maxwell is loving her first Christmas with her husband, Jay Smith. So far, newlywed life has been filled with laughter and lots of steamy marital "bliss." But when Elise discovers she's accidentally, against-all-odds pregnant, happily-ever-after screeches to a halt. Although she sees it as a Christmas miracle, Elise knows her new husband might not agree...

Jay never wanted to be a father. In fact, he's avoided it his entire life, worried he'd repeat the patterns of his own messed-up childhood. He's madly in love with Elise and, until now, he thought they were on the same page about not having children. But her surprise pregnancy changes everything. Elise is suddenly committed to parenthood, and Jay knows he can't lose her. Facing his deepest fears will be difficult, but with a little holiday magic, Jay might be able to prove to Elise that - as a family - they're destined to live merrily ever after.

My thoughts on the book:

I have not read anything but this author before and I am so ready to go and read the other books in this series. I love the friendship these four women have, its close but its also "family". They are there no matter what happens, and I love how the author had these girls and there crazy antics throughout this book. I really enjoyed reading this quick read and how even though Elisa and Jay are already married they are faced with something that she feels could destroy their relationship and how its not always perfect. This book does have a lot of adult language and situations throughout so it that's not your thing be forewarned, otherwise this is perfect to cuddle up with a drink and fire and read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Includes the bonus story "A Wedding on Lavender Hill" by Annie Rains!
When an event planner is asked to create the perfect wedding in just three days, she must turn to the last person she wants to ask for help - the infuriating owner of the house on the hilltop.

My thoughts on the book:

Every time I get my hands on Hope Ramsay's books they never disappoint. I always love the small town feel of her books and the fun places she take you. In this book you're in the south and the characters are on an adventure to find something in themself in hopes for a better future. I loved Jackie, he did appear much in the book but he played a huge part. I really enjoyed following the journey of Jenna she has this huge heart and I just loved her selflessness yet she had this fight in her that nothing would stop her. I found Jude annoying a little bit however it fit in the end. This book really was a fun read and you really can't go wrong I am hoping to read more about Ashley's story. Grab this book you won't regret it. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

The Last True Cowboy Laura Drake (Chestnut Creek Series) #1

Description:
This cowboy's got one last chance to prove himself.

Carly Beauchamp has loved cowboy Austin Davis since first grade. Ask anyone in their dusty, backwater New Mexico town of Unforgiven, and they'll say "Carly and Austin" the way some say "big trucks and country boys." But after years of waiting for a wedding ring, Carly's done with being a rodeo widow . . .

Austin never meant to put his career on the circuit before Carly. She's always been his future, his one and only. But now that she's moved on, he's beginning to see where he went wrong, and he'll do anything to win her back. The only thing is, Carly's suddenly acting differently, and she's definitely hiding a secret-one that will test the depth of their love and open up a whole new world of possibilities.

My thoughts on the book:

I feel this book is about growing up and it takes you through this journey of two immature people. I have to say I was not a fan of this book. The characters are in there late 20's and act like they are just out of high school instead. I found them annoying and whinny. I really enjoyed reading the small part about Nevada she had this story I would have liked to read more about. I think I enjoyed reading more about the other characters than the main characters. I will say that there was a small part in the back in of the book that has you by the heart for sure. There is some language and lots of talks of tough subjects but over all it was a fairly basic read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts on the book:

What a perfect ending to a really fun series. I have never read anything by this author and this book will not be my last book by this author. This book was amazing it tells the last of the 5 brothers story and also you finally get to read Katie's story which I was so excited about. This book was super emotional in parts and then it has you laughing in others. I love how the author also told Rosie's story she had this personality that jumps off the pages she has a large personality just like her cousins from The Rancher's Twin. If you have not been reading this series grab this book and the other four you will not be disappointed. My thoughts on the book:

This book is a short sweet and to the point read. But just because it short doesn't mean it lacks. I really enjoyed this fun read. It took some twist and turns and kept you drawn into the story. I really like how this was a good clean read. I loved how even though Loren was a socialite the author had her come across as just a normal every day person. It will take one surprising revelation and one helpless baby in need of love to show Leah and Kyle that their bond may be greater than their differences... if Leah can find the courage to follow her heart.

My thoughts on the book:

I love amish books, so when I got this book I was super excited. This book did not disappoint. I love how the amish live, simple lives but also how they really depend on God first and foremost. That is how the author wrote this book. That being said the author wrote an amazing story where everything was not "perfect", Kyle faced thing in his path that seem to be haunting him and Leah had her own set of secrets that you really don't see coming even though the author did hit at it a lot in through out the book. I really liked Esther and sometimes she came off judgey but honestly I am glad because it really made her and the other characters more real and less "perfect". I loved how this is a good clean read and suitable for all readers. I really enjoyed this book over all and can't wait to read more from this author as this was my first book from her.

She's determined to keep her distance...until he rushes into her grandfather's home, clutching a feverish baby, terrified and vulnerable, and her heart's hard shell begins to crack.

My thoughts on the book:

When I first started reading this book I wasn't sure what to expect it, I felt like the story started off with a slight bang. The overall story line was good. I loved Maddie and I loved Tara the little part that she played in the book she had this fighting spirit in her and she was easy to love. Over all I was not a huge fan of this book, it seem to be missing something and seem rushed. The book was a quick read, it had a lot of strong language and adult scenes throughout. This book is definitely an adult read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

My thoughts on the book:

I loved this book, I have been really enjoy reading this series so far and this book has not disappointed at all. I loved how Hadley had this independent personality who seem to take any situation by the horns and runs with it. I loved how honest and real the emotions got with both Hadley and Tyler. I loved how it caught up with the characters from the other books, I also really enjoyed how this author sucks you into the story at the beginning and has you turning the pages. When she starts spending time with sexy Luke Harlow to write an article about his heroic military service, she begins to suspect there’s more to this new police recruit than meets the eye. He’s kind, generous, and very mysterious. When anonymous gifts start appearing around town for people in need, Mary knows there’s a story there. A magical one. It doesn’t take long for the breadcrumbs to lead right back to Luke.

As the gifts pile up, so does everyone’s urge to unmask Marietta’s secret Santa. But when Mary uncovers Luke’s secret, will she be able to bury her reporter’s instincts for the sake of love? And will Luke finally be able to trust someone with his heart?

My thoughts on the book:

Sometimes not knowing can be a blessing and a curse, or at least that is what Mary is faced with when she seeks with the towns help to find out who the Christmas Santa is.  I loved the story and the meaning behind this story it was completely heartfelt and it easily put you in the Christmas spirit. I also loved how the author didn't make Christmas all commercialized but showed the heart of Christmas in this story. I loved Maddie when ever she appeared in the story she was a force to recon with, to me her personality just jumped off the pages. This book was a super quick read and so fun to read. I think the only thing I was not a fan of was all the strong language I could have gone with out, but to each his own. I will say this I did not read the first book in this series but I plan on going back to just to read about Tanner's story. If you are looking for a fun read to put you in the Christmas spirit this book will not disappoint you at all. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Even if it means running against the only woman he's ever loved. But with a little help from Harmony Harbor's local matchmakers and a lot of holiday cheer, Connor and Arianna may just get the happy ever after they both deserve.

My thoughts on the book:

I love Debbie Mason's books she has away of getting to the heart of the matter no matter what. In this book you will not be disappointed she has away of bring out the laughter, the tears and getting to the heart of everything. I loved how this brought back the Gallagher family. I love Colleen when she appears in the book you know you can expect something fun is going to be said or done. In this book it follows the journey of Connor and Arianna and what happens next in there lives. I loved Helen in this book in a lot of ways she reminded me of Colleen you just never knew what was going to happen next with her. This book will guarantee that you will laugh its a good clean read and they do discuss some tough subjects but it will put you in the perfect Christmas spirit anytime of the year. This book I found hard to put down it seemed to just fly by. I can't wait to see what is next for this fun town of Harmony Harbor.

At First Glance Susan Tuttle

Description:

Estate planner Penny Thornton loves dusting off items others gloss over, especially since she relates to feeling tossed aside for the "bright and shiny." When her younger sister's approaching wedding launches Penny back into the throes of her dysfunctional family, she decides to use the festivities to close the gap in their relationships even if it means appeasing them and finally losing the few pounds they've hounded her about for years.

But she doesn't expect to meet two very different men in the process: East Fisher, the personal trainer who personifies everything she believes she could never attain, and Jonah Black, a man who reminds her so much of herself. Both men are more than they appear at first glance, and each seems interested in her romantically.

As Penny uncovers their hidden layers, she discovers when it comes to love and matters of the heart, she's got a lot to learn about estimating value.

My thoughts on the book:

Giving this chance to read this debut book for this author is super exciting, because it it always wonderful to find a new author. In this book you have a handful of broken people looking for love and healing. Finding forgiveness is not all about forgiving someone, and the author did an amazing job with that in this book. While this is a perfect clean read if I was rating it as a movie I would say PG-13 it discuss' some situations that most young people face every day. I loved how the author kept things real you could totally relate with any of the characters in this book. I loved how it felt like I was catching up with friends. Belle is one of those you love to hate, but when things start to make sense in the end you are left wanting more not just from her but other characters in the book as well. I hope that the author is not done with this group of family and friends.  In this book you will find yourself laughing, crying and laughing again. This book will not disappoint.

I received an advance copy from the publisher, I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

A True Cowboy Christmas Caitlin Crews- Cold River Ranch Book 1

Description:
From USA Today bestselling author Caitlin Crews comes A True Cowboy Christmas, the first in a sensational series debut about a cowboy, a farm girl, and the greatest gift of all. . .
Gray Everett has a heart of gold but that doesn’t mean he believes in the magic of Christmas. He’s got plenty else to worry about this holiday season, what with keeping his cattle ranch in the family and out of the hands of hungry real-estate investors looking to make a down-and-dirty deal. That, plus being a parent to his young and motherless daughter, equals a man who will not rest until he achieves his mission. Now, all Gray needs is the help of his lifelong neighbor. . .who happens to have grown into a lovely, spirited woman.
For Abby Douglas, the chance to join forces with Gray is nothing less than a Christmas miracle. Much as the down-to-earth farmer’s daughter has tried to deny it, Abby’s been in love with stern, smoking-hot Gray her whole life. So when Gray proposes a marriage of convenience as a way to combine land—and work together toward a common cause—Abby can’t refuse. But how can she convince Gray that sometimes life offers a man a second chance for a reason. . .and that their growing trust and mutual passion may be leading to true and lasting love?

My thoughts on the book:

I have not had the best luck with books lately so when I grabbed the one I didn't expect much and I was completely blown away in a good way of course. This book is about a marriage of convenience however this very much seems like I was catching up with friends. The author did an amazing job with the perfect amount a detail where you feel like you are there in the town of  Longhorn Valley Colorado part of the story watching it all play out. I loved the characters so much all but Lily of course. I really loved the wisdom of Abby's Grandma she has such a gentle way to her that you just want to love her even more every time she comes into the story. I really loved Abby she has this thing about her that seems to resonate off the pages and I think most women could relate to her. I have never read anything from this author and honestly I can't wait to read more from this group of friends. I would say due to certain situations in this book it may not be suitable for all ages. That book being said this book it totally worth the read.

Agnes Piercy is finally going to make her mark now that she’s in charge of the Honeyhaven Winter Wonderland. She’s created a new event this year—Santa’s Village—which will bring in tons of tourists and money for charities and church ministries, and secure her a full client list when she opens up her own event planning business. But things go haywire from the get-go, including her feelings for one Tuck Renner.

Tuck Renner has been tasked (against his will) with building the Santa’s Village which means taking orders from Miss Bossy Pants herself—Agnes Piercy. But she’s off to a seriously rocky start. Feeling sorry for her, and a lot sorry for himself having to hear about it day in and out, he vows to make this the greatest event ever. But things don’t go as planned. However, they may go exactly like they were meant to.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was a super fun read. It was a quick read but packed full of fun. I loved how in the end you didn't feel like anything was left out, which sometimes happens with Novella. Agnes was a very organized person so I could totally relate with her binders. This is one of those books that will totally put you into the Christmas spirit yet I also felt like I was catching up with friends instead of reading. This book is a good clean read and is totally worth the read. It was also fun to catch up with Juliet and Boone from Under the Honey moon. If you haven't read that one seriously grab these books you won't regret it so fun.

The Christmas Remedy Cindy Woodsmall and Erin Woodsmall

Description:

When an Old Order Amish woman takes a job at a small-town pharmacy struggling to survive in a world of "big box" stores, her motive is to help her Plain community. But the advent of the holiday season brings an unusual mystery to the surface--and possibly love.

Twenty-four-year-old Holly Zook lives a unique life for a young Amish woman. Years ago, her bishop allowed her to continue her education and become the lead technician for Greene's Pharmacy, an old-timey drugstore that looks out for the Amish community--a group largely without secure healthcare plans. She knows she can't marry and hold onto her professional job. She's Amish, and she can only have one or the other, so she spurns love and works toward addressing treatable diseases--like the one that claimed her father's life.

As long as Holly continues to avoid Joshua Smucker, the one man who draws her like a warm hearth in winter, she should be fine. When something unexpected threatens Greene's Pharmacy, Holly and Joshua must work together to unravel what's happened and find the "missing" patient before the Board of Pharmacy shuts them down. As the snows of December arrive, with Christmas in the air, will Holly succumb to the generous spirit of the season?

My thoughts on the book:

This book is what I would call a novella it is about 200 pages, but don't let that stop you from reading this fun book that has all of punch too it. I really enjoyed the twist in the story. I was not really a fan of Brandon at first he seem to have this thing about him, but by the end he just grew on me. I loved Holly and Lyle's relationship they come from two different worlds but they are equally important to the town and too each other. I loved Ivy oh my gosh she is a pistol and I hope one day the authors have plans for her story, I just loved her and her personality just jumps off the pages. This book is a good clean read and it totally puts you in the mood for the holiday season full of helping those around us but loving on those close to us.

Maggie doesn't want to risk everything on a man who wants to leave, but what if she can convince this wayward cowboy to stay?

"Big Bad Cowboy is sweet and sexy!" --- New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Ryan

My thoughts on the book:

I am not sure where to begin with this review.  I am not a huge fan of this book at all, I felt like in the beginning Maggie was this independent store owner who had it all together the in the next moment she was whiney and annoying "I'm a women" and I should get special treatment. I like Travis a little but they both came off as victims instead of one being a heroine. I loved, Claire, Henry, Lupe, JD and Bubba and Gerome they all seemed like the hero's in this book to me. I loved how from one page to the next you never knew what was going to be coming out of Henry's mouth it made for interesting read he sure was a pistol throughout.  Just a heads up to all those readers out there this book is a totally adult read and contains a ton of adult language and scenes, I would say in my opinion its an erotic style book, that being said not suitable for all ages. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

Dear Santa Nancy Naigle

Description:
From USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle, Dear Santa is a heartwarming Christmas story about finding your passion for life and love.

Angela Carson wants nothing more than to be the third-generation to run her family’s holiday store, Heart of Christmas, successfully. They’ve weathered over sixty tourist seasons, major hurricanes, and urban sprawl, in their old decommissioned lighthouse. But the national chain that set up shop in their small North Carolina town of Pleasant Sands may be more than Heart of Christmas can survive.

Encouraged by her niece to ask Santa for help through the Dear Santa app, Angela gives in and lets the words fly in a way that, if Santa were real, would no doubt land her on the naughty list. What’s the harm when it’s just a computer-generated response?

Geoff Paisley has been at his mother’s side running the mega-chain Christmas Galore for the last ten years. When his mother falls ill, Geoff promises to answer the Dear Santa letters in her stead. Soon he realizes the woman he’s been corresponding with on Dear Santa is Angela. How could the woman that grates his every last nerve in person have intrigued him so deeply through those letters?

When Geoff reveals that he’s her Dear Santa, will Angela be able to set aside their very public feud to embrace the magic of the holiday and possibly find true love?

My thoughts on the book:

I was super in the middle with this book, there were parts I liked and others not so much. Maybe its was just me but in the beginning of he book Marie came of super conceded and seem to look her nose down at there sister. I also felt in the first portion of the book the author seemed to repeat herself and spend a lot of time on one thing but then it became rushed in the end. I did really enjoy the small town and how no matter what the town seem to rally around people. I loved how in the end of the day Marie and her husband stood by Angela and supported her, and I loved how Geoff came across as a hard soul but also had a heart for him mom and those close to him. The book is a good clean read, and its the perfect book to get you into the Christmas spirit.

The Rancher's Redemption Melinda Curtis- Return of Blackwell Brothers

Description:
His family committed a terrible wrong

Ben Blackwell wants to make it right

The last time Ben saw Rachel Thompson was when her best friend left him at the altar. Now Rachel’s suing the Blackwells over river water rights. Rachel’s a triple threat—rancher, a fellow attorney and single mom—and Ben’s plan to win in court hits a snag when mutual attraction blooms. If he divulges a long-held secret, will his family forgive him? Will Rachel?

My thoughts on the book:

Rachel is ready to make things right as she promised her dad and she will stop at nothing to make that happen. Ben is back and only to fight for the water rights that his family has and will continue to expect there are some secrets that he has and he needs to decide if they are worth keeping and hurting those he loves or lose everything and be honest.
I loved this sweet love story. The characters feel more like friends you are catching up with and less like a story your reading. The book draws you and you find your self reading to just find out what happens. I loved how none of the characters came off perfect but came more off as the average joe. I love how Ms. Curtis keeps her books clean so they are suitable for all readers. This book was such a fun read and makes you want more from this small town and the fun people in it. I received an advance copy. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
