Big Bad Cowboy Carly Bloom

Description:
After one too many heartbreaks, Travis Blake hung up his cowboy hat and put Big Verde, Texas, behind him. But when he gets the call that his young nephew needs him, he knows he has to return home. His plan is to sell the family ranch and hightail it back to Austin, but there's a small problem: the one person who stands in his way is the one person he can't resist.

Maggie is pretty sure she hates Travis Blake. He's irritating, he's destroying her business, and . . . and he's just so frickin' attractive. But when they're forced to work together, Maggie discovers that the Most Annoying Man in the World is more than he seems. He's sweet with his nephew, he helps out in the community, and he makes her heart flutter. Maggie doesn't want to risk everything on a man who wants to leave, but what if she can convince this wayward cowboy to stay?

"Big Bad Cowboy is sweet and sexy!" --- New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Ryan

My thoughts on the book:

I am not sure where to begin with this review.  I am not a huge fan of this book at all, I felt like in the beginning Maggie was this independent store owner who had it all together the in the next moment she was whiney and annoying "I'm a women" and I should get special treatment. I like Travis a little but they both came off as victims instead of one being a heroine. I loved, Claire, Henry, Lupe, JD and Bubba and Gerome they all seemed like the hero's in this book to me. I loved how from one page to the next you never knew what was going to be coming out of Henry's mouth it made for interesting read he sure was a pistol throughout.  Just a heads up to all those readers out there this book is a totally adult read and contains a ton of adult language and scenes, I would say in my opinion its an erotic style book, that being said not suitable for all ages. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion.

Maybe This Kiss Jennifer Snow

Description:
Love is always worth the risk . . .
Neil Healy was happy to be promoted to Air Force lieutenant colonel, but he's less than thrilled that the new job has brought him back to his hometown. The memories alone could kill a man, to say nothing of actually seeing the woman he never got over. Neil knew avoiding Becky Westmore would be impossible, but he didn't expect the chemistry between them to be as strong as ever.

All Becky wants this holiday season is to get through the month of December with her sanity intact. Not helping? Her ex-boyfriend's return to Glenwood Falls. Even after a decade apart, Neil still makes her feelin ways no other man has. But Christmas is a time for miracles, and maybe Becky's will be a second chance at first love.

My thoughts on the book:

Neil is home, back to where it all began. He has spent the last 4 weeks avoiding his only love of his life and now due to his cousins up coming wedding it seems they will be having to meet sooner then he would like. Becky knows he's home and she would rather keep him where he's at in the far distance of her heart where no one can get hurt. When they are forced together due to her sister-in-laws wedding she hopes she can get through Christmas, the wedding and his time home still with her heart in tact. Will they be able to look past the pass and see a future or will it all come crashing down and be to much?
I so, so, so liked this book and the storyline of this book. I loved how it takes a story of two high school sweethearts set out on different paths end up in a place neither would like to admit they want to be. I loved the characters so much I loved how there personalities popped off the pages and you find yourself drawn in that much more. There are some adult scenes in the book so I would not recommend to all readers. I did not like the ending of this book at all I felt like there was still so much more and it just seemed abrupt in the ending. I noticed this is a series so I hope that in the up and coming books there will be more of Neil and Becky's story.

Falling for the Prodigal Son Julia Gabriel

What's the book about:
A sweet summer romance set on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay A wealthy heir ...

All Sterling Matthew wants is to get his family's resort back on sound financial footing—and then leave sleepy St. Caroline for good. He expected the inn's staff to resist the radical business changes he has to make. What he didn't expect was to find skinny, gawky Lucy Wyndham all grown up.

A woman who's pulled herself up by the bootstraps ...

For years, Lucy wondered whether she'd ever catch another glimpse of the tall, quiet boy she'd crushed on at the Chesapeake Inn's summer camp for disadvantaged kids. Now he's her boss—and the attraction is just as strong. When Sterling informs her that the camp must be eliminated to improve the resort's bottom line, Lucy embarks on an ambitious campaign to save it—even if the price is her job ... and her heart.

And a teenage infatuation that's all grown up.

My thoughts on the book:
I have to say overall this book was pretty good. The book it self along with the storyline sucks you in and you find yourself lost on this amazing little island and the life on ST. Charlie. Now that being said the two main characters have a lot of chemistry between them, however the there is some chemistry between the one main character and some of the others. This is a really great summer read. The camp creates a friendship so deep between a bunch of people and I think that is so true I went to camp and I remember the friendships so you find your self sucked in that way as well. Over all I had a hard time putting this book down. I was not really happy with the way the book comes to end though I feel that it leaves you to figure out what happened. I think to have done and epilogue and finish the story off would have been a better end then just living it to the reader.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered Sandy James

What is the book about:
When life gets tough and love is hard to find, four friends take their troubles to lunch. High school teacher Juliana Kelley tells the Ladies Who Lunch that her life needs an overhaul . . . and gets a whole lot more than she wished for.
Juliana has spent thirteen years in the same teaching job. She's ready to dive into a new career with both feet . . . when a run-in with the hottest man she's ever seen knocks her head over heels. But with her failed marriage to a fellow teacher fresh on her mind, Jules can't afford to lose herself in a relationship-no matter how perfect it may seem.
Connor Wilson has hit rock bottom when he loses his career as a top-notch Realtor because of a large gambling debt. Now, in a small town he finds a fresh start-and a gorgeous redhead who sparks new life into him. Together they start a successful real estate company, but when pleasure sneaks into the business, they'll have to decide what they can let go . . . and what they can't live without.

My thoughts on the book:
I would give this book a B+ for sure its hot, steamy and all with a really good storyline going on around all the chemistry between Conner and "Red" Juliana. I have never read any of Sandy James' books and I can say this book hooked you sucked you in and you just were along for the ride a very fun ride. I would love to go back and read the first book in this series now that I know this is a series. I liked that even with the chemistry and sex in the book that it was not the book or the whole story it self, the characters a dealing with struggling to trust, addictions and all together small town gossip mill, nosey friends, and as well as making life changing decisions that could change and break everything or that can make life worth living and work out in the long run. But in the end it shows that even will all the ups and downs the the story was put together well to keep you guessing a little bit on what maybe happening next. Sandy has a way in this book getting the characters to come alive and off the pages and making you feel like you are sitting right there with them. Well done!!! I hope you like this book as much as I did.
