Montana Rancher's Kiss Kaylie Newell

Description:
Rancher Brooks Cole has only ever loved one woman. But when she marries his best friend after high school and moves away, his lifelong belief that he’ll eventually lose the people he cares for most is cemented in stone. Turning his back on love, Brooks shifts his focus to something safe—running his family’s dude ranch with his twin brother.

Daisy Hudson always longed to leave her small Montana town—and all the associated pain—far behind. But after a divorce and her mother’s death, Daisy accepts that she must stop running and mend the country fences she broke so many years ago. Determined to stand on her own and start over, Daisy returns to Marietta and answers an ad for a cook at the Diamond in the Rough dude ranch. And then her first love opens the door.

As long summer days melt into sultry, summer nights, Brooks and Daisy remember why they were once so wild for each other. But forgiving is never easy and second chances aren’t guaranteed…

My Review:
I love reading and catching up with the characters in Marrietta. This small town just seems to draw you in no matter what and very much felt that way with this book. I Liked Daisy she has a sensitive side to her but she also is super strong. Brooks was someone who I have to let grow on me a little he seemed upset for all the wrong reasons, I like Porter he gave Brooks a hard enough time to make Brooks lighten up and had me laughing. Sometimes second chances are not all so cute and dry and sometimes its not about second chances but finding healing and forgiveness in the least likely places, time and situations and I felt that way about this book. There is adult content so it may no be suitable for ll but it was truly a fun story to read.

The Summer Cottage Annie Rains (Somerset Lake #1)

Description:
This summer, they’ll learn that home is where the heart is.

Somerset Lake is the perfect place for Trisha Langly and her son to start over. As the new manager for the Somerset Cottages, Trisha is instantly charmed by the property’s elderly residents and her firecracker of a new boss, Vi Fletcher. But Trisha is less enchanted by Vi’s protective grandson Jake. No matter how tempting she finds the handsome lawyer, Trisha knows that if Jake discovers the truth about her past, she’ll lose the new life she’s worked so hard to build.

Jake Fletcher left Somerset Lake after a tragic loss, but he’s returning for the summer to care for his beloved grandmother, hoping Vi will sell the run-down cottages and finally slow down. There’s just one problem: Trisha, Vi’s new employee. She’s smart, beautiful, and kind, but Jake’s job is to protect his grandmother’s interests, and his gut is telling him Trisha’s hiding something that could jeopardize Vi’s future. However, as they spend summer days renovating the property and bonding over their love for the town, Jake realizes that Trisha is a risk worth taking—if only she can trust him with her secrets . . . and her heart.

My Review:

I love a a good small town story. I love a good second chance story so this is that story for sure. My heart broke for Trisha she faced a lot and dealt with her ex-husbands bad choices why she held her head high. I loved the group of women friend in the book they all were some of the sweetest and showed that having a good group in of people in your life will get you thought just about anything. Jake was a fixer for sure I didn't feel like he wanted to "fix" Trisha but he did come across sometime as pushy which was annoying. I loved Petey what a sweet kid who was wise beyond his years so fun to read about to. I mean I feel like the cherry on top of this was Mr. S and Vi, to find out why you will have to read this very good book. I flew through it and it just wanted so much more in the end. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My Review:

I feel like this author never disappoints including this book I feel like this book could have been ripped from the headlines, it kept me on the edge of my seat for sure. I really liked Jamie she has a big heart for doing what's right no matter the cost. Dustin faced so much but he walked through with his head held high, and would stop at nothing to prove he was innocent. I really liked Taylor my heart broke for her for sure she was also very relatable. I like how the author kept this book clean and keeps you guessing from beginning to the end. Over all this is book I could not put down and it was a really good read for sure. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Hooked on you Kathleen Fuller

 Description:

She never wanted to come back. He never wants to leave. The town of Maple Falls has plans for them both.

Riley McAllister is living the dream in New York City . . . if the dream means being a struggling mixed-media artist, part-time food delivery driver, and having a carefully curated social media to hide all of the above. She refuses to admit defeat and move back to small-town Maple Falls, but when her grandmother breaks her leg sliding into third base during a softball game (she was safe, by the way), Riley reluctantly agrees to go home and help the woman who raised her—while secretly hoping she can convince Mimi to sell her house and yarn shop and move in with a good friend. Then Riley can return to her new life in NYC, on her own and for good.

But Mimi has her own plans, which include setting Riley up with local baseball star Hayden Price, who returned to Maple Falls after an injury ended his major league career. Now he works at his father’s hardware store, coaches the church softball team, and worries about the declining town. It’s not the life he dreamed of having.

With a little meddling and a lot of kindness from the town, Hayden and Riley find themselves unexpectedly falling for each other as they discover the true meaning of home

Welcome to Maple Falls, where everyone knows your name and your business.

“A sweet, refreshing tale of idyllic small-town life, family, and unexpected romance, Hooked on You is the perfect read to cozy up with on a rainy day.”—Melissa Ferguson, multi-award-winning author of The Cul-de-Sac War

My Review:
I have never read anything by this author before and I have to say I really enjoyed this love story. I guess when they say never say never they mean it or at least in Riley's case. She was a broken sprit and really struggled to find her footing which made her feel very relatable. Hayden was a fighter and spoke whatever was on his mind but always did it with love. He also just seemed so relatable, while reading this story it almost felt like I was catching up with friends. I really like Erma and the Bosom Buddies, man I want to be them one day, to be old and feisty yet always having fun oh my what a fun group. I feel like this story wasn't all about love about about friendship and cherishing those relationships. Overall I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down it was so worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Widowed Maeve Lindsay was born and raised on Whelk’s Island. Spirited, kind, and a little mischievous, she pours her life into the town. But she carries a secret that shapes her every move.

Together, these three souls find encouragement in the most mysterious places and discover a love that’s bigger than their pain, healing their wounded hearts in ways none of them could have hoped for or expected.

My thoughts on the book:

I feel like with this book its not your ordinary "loves" story. I feel like this book was more about finding healing then finding love. However grab some tissues this book has some moments that will have you in tears and pulls at the heart strings for sure. I felt like With Paul and Amanda and Mauve and Tug you were looking at pretty much some of the same similarities but also two very different situations. I loved the kids in this story while they were young and sassy they seemed so wise beyond there years.  Overall this book was slow but it was steady and it really keeps you drawn in and very good. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A Second Chance at Love: A Sea Glass Bay Romance - Melinda Curtis, Anna J. Stewart, Cari Lynn Webb, Kayla Perrin

Description:
With Mother’s Day approaching, four women living in a picturesque coastal town discover a second chance at love when they finally find their happily-ever-after partners in this anthology of contemporary romance novellas.

MOM WANTED
Claire Bishop’s life as an art teacher in Sea Glass Bay is full and rewarding, but her heart longs for a family she’ll never have. When she agrees to help out widower, Sully Vaughn, by taking care of his daughter after school, Sully is concerned his little girl, Lindie, is growing too attached to her favorite teacher. Sully is trying his best to protect his child from the heartache of loss that nearly destroyed him, but he hasn’t taken into account his passion for the dynamic woman—nor Lindie’s determination to lay claim to the perfect mom.

FATHER WANTED
Jazzy Dunbar is enjoying life as a single mom, proving that you don’t have to have a man to have it all. Jeremiah Caldwell, a good friend, made the perfect sperm donor. He’s happy with their “no strings attached” relationship ... or is he? He wants to be more than a sometimes-father in baby Caleb’s life. Jazzy doesn’t want to ruin their friendship by allowing their attraction to flare, but when a serious situation threatens, will Jeremiah be able to prove that they can have love and the perfect family?

HERO WANTED
Single mom Leah Martin needs to find a wedding date for her ex-husband’s wedding. Their son, Owen, is going to be the ringbearer and her attendance is required. But this florist has no time to date around the busy Mother’s Day holiday, which is why she agrees to let her friends set her up for a blind date. Hank DeLeon’s bar shares an alley with Leah’s florist shop, which is the perfect location for a restaurant if she’s willing to relocate. When he’s asked to take her on a blind date, he has to wonder: is this a great chance for a business proposition? Or a once-in-a-lifetime chance at love?

FAMILY WANTED
After a corporate restructuring at her accounting firm, Paige Duffy moved north to Sea Glass Bay and opened a handmade candle booth at the coastal town’s popular local craft market. Now her severance is running out and Paige discovers she’s pregnant from a one night stand. Charter boat owner, Gavin Cole, lost his grandfather six months ago, promising him he’d finally pursue his dreams of sailing the open ocean. But when Paige tells him that she’s pregnant with his child, Gavin must decide what adventure he really wants: the one he’s always dreamed of, or the one he never believed possible.

My Review:
Mom wanted- Anna J. Stewart
Cute love story with a little girl that has enough sass to keep you turning the pages. I really liked Claire she has a big heart willing to just love on those closest to her.

Father wanted- Kayla Perrin
Finding love in the most unconventional way. The only thing I wish about this story was that the author gave more of Jeremiah’s side of the story.

Hero Wanted-Melinda Curtis
Marisol is a sweet mama who is hard not to fall in love with, she just seems to take everyone who she cares for under her wing. Leah is a pistol and speaks her mind, sometimes but only when it matters. Charlie I would like to punch.

Family Wanted-Cari Lynn Webb
Marisol is back in this story just as sweet as can be, being the mother hen to a bunch of friends who either lack a mom or mom is out of the picture. I like Paige she feels like a bit of a free spirit but super grounded and loves her aunts. Gavin seems flighty but also seems unsure of what’s next in life and how to go about grabbing hold and going along for the ride.

Overall I really enjoyed these four stories, each one stood out for different reasons but overall it was neat to read about close friendships that mean the world to each person and about making "family" and how family doesn't always share the same blood. All the books are kept clean read and suitable for all. Well worth the reads!!!
