The Cowboy's Downfall By Paula Altenburg

 Description:

His first mistake…saying yes.

Retired bull rider Nix McCray savors his freedom riding the range. Let a woman run his life? Never again. Those days are behind him. When the Endeavour Ranch asks him to run a bull riding clinic for teens, he agrees. How much trouble can a group of kids be? No idea, but the uptight, hyper responsible older sister of a reckless seventeen-year girl sure becomes a burr in his side, disturbing his calm.

Self-assured lawyer Shauna Walsh has always followed the rules. When her flighty mother begs her to take her sister following the latest school expulsion, Shauna’s confident she can prevail. Wrong. She’s out of her depth. Worse, the amused, sexy cowboy running the rodeo clinic is everything she shouldn’t want, yet he has a super power over her once sleepy libido.

Soon, the unruly teenager determined to shock everyone is the least of Shauna and Nix’s problems. How can they explore the fire burning between them, yet keep the casual affair a secret in a rural community when they’re supposed to be setting a good example?

My Review:

When I think of a cowboy, I envision someone who has their life relatively in order, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and serves as a role model for the next generation. Unfortunately, Nix did not embody any of these qualities. I found him to be overly passive, unable to assert himself, and far too accommodating—particularly when it came to his ex-wife. As a result, I struggled to connect with his character from the very beginning. Shauna was a somewhat more balanced character, though I must admit that my initial impression of her aligned with Nix’s—she came across as rather pretentious.

Overall, this book just wasn’t my thing. I felt like some of the sexual content and some of the sexual innuendos didn’t really need to be there and kind of took away from the story. It just didn’t click with me.

Merry Christmas, Montana Elsa Winckler

 Description:

She doesn’t believe in miracles, but maybe this holiday her son’s Christmas wish will change her mind.

Single mom Riley O’Sullivan isn’t one to complain, but with her closest family members now settled in Marietta, Montana, while she still calls Portland home, finding good help isn’t as easy as it used to be. With Christmas approaching, Riley and her young son Dylan are excited to be in Marietta with family for the holidays; but she certainly doesn’t need maddening Mitch Miller coming to her rescue, awakening her senses, or making Dylan ask questions about what dads do.

Mitch Miller left his successful financial career behind him when he moved to Marietta with his two sisters. He’s not looking for love, but Riley captivates him like no other woman ever has. She thinks he’s an overprotective grinch–with good cause–but it’s clear to everyone Riley and Dylan could use a little Christmas magic and he’s willing to help. It’s not as if he’s offering his heart.

Perhaps all it will take to bring them together is the Christmas wish from one special little boy.

My Review:
I liked Mitch, he was known in the other books as "The Yelling Brother" so I loved how he came off one way and in the book you start to really see who he is. He really values family and loves his sisters and would do anything for them and those he loves. Riley was all over the board for me but in the end I got why she was the way she was. She to has a big heart for anyone who comes into her life and will drop everything she's doing to be there for those she loves. I think hands down my favorite character is Janice she was always up to something and had no problem meddling and I loved her little sidekick Dylan those two were made for each other for sure. Overall this was a cute love story with lots of laughs and some tears but lots of family and fun as well. There is sex in this story so it may not be suitable for all.

Identity Nora Roberts

  Description:
Former Army brat Morgan Albright has finally planted roots in a friendly neighborhood near Baltimore. Her friend and roommate Nina helps her make the mortgage payments, as does Morgan's job as a bartender. But after she and Nina host their first dinner party—attended by Luke, the flirtatious IT guy who'd been chatting her up at the bar—her carefully built world is shattered. The back door glass is broken, cash and jewelry are missing, her car is gone, and Nina lies dead on the floor.

Soon, a horrific truth emerges: It was Morgan who let the monster in. "Luke" is actually a cold-hearted con artist named Gavin who targets a particular type of woman, steals her assets and identity, and then commits his ultimate goal: murder.

What the FBI tells Morgan is beyond chilling. Nina wasn't his type. Morgan is. Nina was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. And Morgan's nightmare is just beginning. Soon she has no choice but to flee to her mother's home in Vermont. While she struggles to build something new, she meets another man, Miles Jameson. He isn't flashy or flirtatious, and his family business has deep roots in town. But Gavin is still out there hunting new victims, and he hasn't forgotten the one who got away.

My Review:
I had only read one other book by this author and it was really good so I was super excited when asked if I wanted to read and review this one.  will say this there is murder in this book and the author details it to the T so it is graphic and may be disturbing for some readers.
The book is broken into three sections and the first two sections were really good it has you on the edge of you seat waiting to see what happens next and where the author is taking you. I really liked Nina, Sam and Morgan they were like the three amigos and created there only little family. I loved the Jamesons and Morgans mom and Grandma they all had hearts of gold and did so much for each other and their community. Nell was so fun to read about as well she was a no nonsense women and nothing or no one was going to get one over on her. Miles was very reserved and I thought for sure there was more to the story with him but I just never came out.
With the last part of the book which was my least favorite. I felt like the author chose in this portion to show her disgust for religion and for a certain political party, I felt both of these could have been left out of the book and really had no grounds for the story and the story would have been just fine without it. I like to read to get way from Politics so its frustrating to find it in a story that it just doesn't need to be whether your on the right or left it gets old and I would just not rather read about it.
Overall the story was good, just proceed with caution if murder and sex bother you, this may not be the book for you.

Description:
He left everything behind…including her.

Doctor Saul MacDonald left Kurrajong Crossing as a teenager, fleeing impossible living conditions. He left behind his mother, younger brother Alexander, and the girl he’d loved all his life. On the far side of the world, Saul made himself into a different person—hopefully a better one—but now family ties force him home.

Animals and plants are the only living things successful entrepreneur Trudie Weiss trusts unconditionally. Neglected as a child and forced into dangerous situations she couldn’t control, Trudie prefers to keep people at a distance. But the arrival of Saul “Sunny” MacDonald back in The Crossing tests the exposed armour around Trudie’s tender heart. Like it or not, they share a deep bond. And an attraction that glows white hot.

Trudie knows a wounded animal when she sees one. And if she gets too close to Saul, he will lash out. But as he confronts old relationships and digs into his painful past, is there room for Saul and Trudie to move forward and forge a loving future...together?

My Review:
This book was not for me. I liked Trudie even though she was guarded she really did have a big heart for this who are hurting. I felt like the whole book was just one big awkward story between two very different people. Saul was ok but he had a lot of anger and I just was waiting for him to loose his cool and deal with his issues. Overall the book was ok, I would say For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes and descriptions of physical and sexual assault. As well as sex between two consenting adults. I received an advance copy from the publisher. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Fifteen years later, she’s done it again. After walking away from her marriage and the hotel empire she built with her ex, she's broke and a single mom to a teen. But with a loan from her mother, she plans to rise again, this time back in her hometown. Her only concern? Running into Danny, the man she’s never forgotten.

Danny Dorsey knows all about second chances. After recklessly crashing his car days after signing a professional hockey contract, he lost everything—including the girl he loved. Years later, he’s the wealthy creator of an illustrious social media and lifestyle brand. Finally feeling settled, Danny makes an unexpected detour to visit his family for Christmas…only to find himself sitting with Mabel at dinner.

Falling in love has always been easy. But will the secrets of the past once again tear them apart?

My Review:
This is a new to me author so that being said I have not read any of the other book in the series. However this book was not for me. There was a LOT of back and forth with "I like you today, but not tomorrow" it just kind of got old. I found Dany harsh and almost mean for most of the book except when it came to his niece otherwise I am not really a fan at all. I did like Season, Charmaine, Clark, Athena, Leena they just added a lot of fun and laughter to the book. I found I did like Mabel she was a fighter and she wanted to give the best life she could for her daughter. Overall I would say this was not a book I would find myself rereading, There is adult language and content in this book so it my not be suitable for all.

Last Dance with a Cowboy Sara Richardson

Description:
Can this wandering cowboy convince his first love that he deserves a second chance in a charming contemporary romance for fans of New York Times bestselling authors Jennifer Ryan and Maisey Yates—with a bonus novella by Carolyn Brown!
Leila Valentino will do anything to keep her grandparents’ Colorado winery afloat. Even partner with August Harding, the first—and last—man to break her heart. Fifteen years ago, August left Silverado Lake, and Leila, far behind. Now the cowboy’s back with an offer that could save her family’s business. But to keep her grandparents from worrying over the vineyard’s finances, Leila insists August give a different reason for his return: her.

August Harding is one step away from a huge promotion. All he has to do is ensure that his company acquires Valentino Bellas Vineyards. And if pretending he and Leila are back together is the cost . . . well, he can’t say no. Leila has never forgiven him for the way he ended things, but the longer they pretend to be a couple, the more he begins to wonder if a second chance isn’t impossible after all. But can he convince Leila that this time he’s not walking away?

My Review:

This was a cute story. I really liked Leila she was a fighter and always wanting to do what's right for her family. August was dealing with hurt from the loss of someone close so he was reserved and not willing to put him heart on the line. While I found the book very predictable, I also found the story very cute. I loved Nonna, Poppa, and August family they were just so fun side characters and I feel like Nonna and Poppa had so much wisdom and was so fun to read about. This book does have adult content and may be sensitive to some. Overall this was a fun book and worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Protect Me Not Natasha Anders

 Description:
Some temptations are just not worth the complication.

Victoria Hollingsworth does not need a surly, uncommunicative bodyguard cramping her style, following her everywhere, and intimidating any would-be male callers. She’s a florist for goodness sake, not a princess or a pop star. Having a massive, mysterious bodyguard always hovering is an inconvenience. And yet… there he is, Tyler Chambers, her unwanted protector, ultra-serious, no-nonsense, and off-the-charts hot. Vicki doesn’t want, or need, him as a bodyguard. Yet, disturbingly, he may be everything she wants, and needs, in a man.

Ty hates his current long-term assignment. It’s mind-numbingly tedious. Vicki Hollingsworth is a pain in the butt who talks too much, laughs a lot, and frequently tests his patience. And her life isn’t exactly filled with intrigue and action. Ty is ready for this job to be over. He has just a couple of months left before reassignment. He’s mere weeks away from being out of here. The last thing he needs is to find his cute-as-a-button charge irresistibly attractive. She’s not his type. Wholesome, adorable, and sweet, Vicki is the kind of woman who needs long-term commitment. And all Ty has to offer is a few short weeks of far-from-wholesome pleasure.

How much chaos can one little florist introduce into his regimented life? Ty is about to find out.

My Review:
I feel like this book wasn't for me. I just felt like there was too much of the same miscommunication throughout the book. I liked Victoria while she was rich she just came of a grounded down to earth girl. I liked Linda and Josh they seemed so genuine and just great friends to Vicki. Ty had issues and he just came off like a jerk some times he overall was ok but I felt like all the push and pull was just a little to dramatic and would have like to see it go another way. This book does contain adult language and erotic scenes may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Love and Let Bark Alanna Martin

 Description:
It's up to two rescue husky puppies to convince their owners it's never too late for a second leash on love.

When Nate Porter left Helen, Alaska, to become a firefighter with the Forest Service, he claimed it was because he craved adventure. The truth was, he couldn't stand to hang around, pining for a girl the town's century-old feud meant he could never have. But Nate got over Lydia Lipin years ago, or so he thought until he learns that an old rival has come sniffing around. The solution—a trip home with his rescue puppies to prove to himself he completely extinguished that old flame.

Lydia Lipin has always been satisfied being the "good" Lipin daughter—dutiful, practical, and always putting others before herself. But that role begins to chafe as Nate's return ignites old memories. No one in town knew about their secret friendship or those forbidden kisses they stole the summer after graduation. Suddenly, Nate and his puppies are everywhere, and sparks are flying.

When Nate realizes he never got over Lydia, he'll risk everything for a second chance. But Lydia's not a risk-taker, and she has to make a choice—play it safe and pretend their summer fling was just puppy love, or step out of the family shadow and unleash her heart.

My Review:
I thought this book was cute, I mean you have dogs with tons of spunk and personalities and you have a cat with a large personality and attitude what's not to laugh at. The feud seems to be through the whole town and having to "meet" was interesting for these characters. I felt like Lydia have big heart and would do anything to make her family and those she cared about happy while putting her self on the back burner. Nate loves his family but they just seem a bit much and he's happy with him and his two dogs. This book does have adult language and content and may not be suitable for all. Overall fun story. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Only a Cowboy Will Do AJ Pine

Description:

A small-town woman is swept off her feet by a caring stranger in this charming western romance from a "fabulous storyteller" (Carolyn Brown, New York Times bestselling author).

Forty candles, and one for luck. Jenna Owens wants one thing for her birthday this year: a fairy-tale ending of her own and a little relaxation at a quaint California ranch. What she didn’t want was to get caught in a storm on her way to Meadow Valley. Or to get stuck with a ridiculously hot, too-charming-for-his-own-good cowboy—one who makes Jenna reconsider her “I don't date younger guys” rule. But a little vacation flirtation might be just what she needs.

Colt Morgan isn’t interested in long-term relationships. Not since his last one crashed and burned after his fiancée found out he wanted a big family. So when he learns that Jenna has a list of items to accomplish on her trip—including having fling—Colt is all too happy to oblige. Yet the more he and Jenna get to know each other, the more Colt starts to wonder if maybe they have a chance at a real future. But when Jenna’s past upends everything Colt thought he wanted, are all bets off? Or will they find a way to make both their dreams come true?

Includes the bonus novella Sealed with a Kiss by Melinda Curtis!

My Review:
So the storyline was cute. If you can relate in any kind of loss or infertility then this will also be a little emotional as well. Overall it was a cute story, two broken people searching for their place to belong in this world. However I did feel that Colt had this constant guard up throughout the whole book and that the author almost seemed too hard to play it down. In some parts I just found it annoying. If I am to be honest I guess that was the case for Jenna as well but she seemed more free spirit and open then he did, she more or less wore her heart on her sleeve, which made her more relatable. There is sexual content throughout so it may not be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Strong, Silent Cowboy Lora Leigh; Veronica Chadwick Moving Violations-#2

 Description:

From #1 New York Times bestseller Lora Leigh and Veronica Chadwick comes a second chance at love and bodyguard romance Strong, Silent Cowboy, a Moving Violations novel.

“Leigh’s books can scorch the ink off the page.”—RT Book Review

He Will Do Anything…

Sallie Hamblen had three incredibly hot, sexy nights with Jacob Donovan, an undercover CIA agent, before he disappeared, leaving her broken hearted and forever yearning for the man she lost. Years later, Jacob doesn’t know that the beauty he’s about to seduce in a small town bar is the woman he held in his arms all those years ago… and that she’s on the run from her past.

To Keep Her Safe…

Former CIA agent turned cowboy, Jacob Donovan wants nothing more than a simple life. Just the ranch and occasionally someone warm and sweet in his bed. Until Sallie comes back into his life and all of a sudden he wants to be in her bed every night...all night. When he discovers that her life is in danger, he swears he’ll protect her. Even when secrets are revealed that threaten everything between them, he will lay everything on the line to keep her in his arms.

My thoughts on the book:

I will say after reading book one and really liking Jacob, I was excited to read his story. However  I was not a fan of him in this book he was annoying to me and everything about him and this book was sex driven. Just like in the first book I had a hard time getting in this book there was not much of a storyline unless the authors were going for a book about sex then they hit it out of the park with this book for sure. I will say I liked Sally, Lily and Tara they are super stubborn and strong headed women. I really loved Gram she was a pistol I think was hands down my favorite and I wish there was more of her in the book. I did feel in the end I did have some questions but I am guessing the authors left it up to you. Overall this was not for me. I received a complimentary copy of this book. HOT ON THE ICE Anna Sugden

Description:

Lily Eddison is on the way to making it—her personalized, gourmet chocolates are in high demand. She has it all going on...until her landlord pulls the rug out from under her. Now she needs investors but the last person she expects or wants to save the day is the oh-so-hot, but arrogant, pro-hockey player Dante “Fireman” Taylor.

Hockey is Dante’s life and as the Docker’s star defensemen, he has no time for love. An opportunity to invest in Lily’s dream is just business, even though he can’t stop thinking about the gorgeous chocolatier. Despite his reluctance to be in a relationship, Dante and Lily move from partners to friends to lovers and he’s all in… Until an obsessive fan’s revenge tanks their romance and it’s dead on the ice.

Great hockey players know they have to take more shots on goal to score a hat trick and Dante gives it his all to prove to Lily that off the ice, she’s the only one for him.

My thoughts on the book:
This book was not for me, I really wanted to like this book I love me a good love story but I had the hardest time just getting into the story. I felt like the constant back and forth with Lily and Dante felt more like a constant tug of war and felt more like a bunch of high school drama then two grown adults. I did however like Amy, Jessie, Savannah and Noah they are seriously some of the best hype person's Lily and Dante could have in there lives. I did like what the author did have to say about Lily's Aunt she seemed like a true pistol and would love to know more of her life story. In conclusion the story was ok kind of drags making it seem a little long. There is sexual content in this book so it may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Boone Emily March- Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas

 Description:

In Eternity Springs: The McBrides of TexasNew York Times bestselling author Emily March presents a brand new arc set in the Lone Star State that features a family-linked trilogy within the author's romantic series.

With his smooth talk, rugged good looks, and deep pockets, native Texan Boone McBride appears to be a man who has it all. Few people know about the heartbreak behind his decision to leave home, family, and career for the isolation of a small town in the Colorado Rockies. Luckily, time and life in Eternity Springs has worked its healing magic upon his wounded soul, so when he meets obviously troubled Hannah Dupree, Boone sees a chance to pay his good fortune forward. The last thing he anticipates is tumbling into love.

Tragedy has taken everything Hannah loves, and her will to keep going is failing. So when Boone strides into her life determined to save her, it’s easier to go along with him than to resist. Soon she is drawn into the fabric of life in Eternity Springs, and as her spirit begins to heal, her strength returns, and she’s able to go toe-to-toe with this hardheaded, big-hearted Texan. But just when love blooms and happiness is within their grasp, shadows from the past threaten. Hannah and Boone must stand strong and united in order to defeat old ghosts―if they are to create a brand-new life together.

My thoughts on the book:

The cousin's are back, I was so glad to be able to catch up with Tucker, Jackson and now Boone. I really love Celeste she's full of wisdom and guidance and does it in such a way that you don't know what hits you until she's done. I felt this book did deal with some tough subjects but in the end it was worth it. Nothing seems to be off limits with this author and I appreciate that because it makes the characters feel more like friends and less like fictional characters. Hannah has such a big heart and she is dealing with some things and looking for healing. I like that every time I read about Eternity Springs its seems like some one is looking for healing and Eternity Springs is just that place to find that healing. Boone did come off pushy sometimes but its really hard not to like him and see where his heart is. For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes of sexual content. Overall this book is really good and I could not put it down so worth the read. I can't wait to see who shows up in Eternity Springs next. I received a complimentary copy of this book. This Cowboy of Mine R.C. Ryan- Wranglers of Wyoming #2

 Description:

New York Times bestselling author R.C. Ryan takes readers on a wild ride with a strong heroine who must trust the cowboy trying to save her life.

A cowboy with a wild side

Kirby Regan isn't opposed living on the edge. After all, she just quit her career in Washington, D.C., so she could move back to Wyoming and buy her family's ranch. But hiking the Tetons after dark during a snowstorm goes beyond being adventurous, especially when Kirby's boss warns her that an escaped convict is at large. Sheltering in a cave seems the safest option to ride out the blizzard-until Kirby realizes it's already occupied . . . by a ruggedly handsome cowboy.

Like the mustangs he treats, veterinarian and rancher Casey Merrick prefers to live wild and free, which is why a relationship is not in the cards for him. He doesn't mind sharing his space with a gorgeous stranger, as long as they can both keep their distance-a task that begins to seem impossible as the attraction between them heats up. But before they can worry about the spark smoldering between them, Casey must find a way to protect Kirby from nature's most ruthless conditions . . . and a convicted killer on the loose.

Includes the bonus novel Wildflower Ranch, a continuation of Daisies in the Canyon, by New York Times bestselling author Carolyn Brown!

My thoughts on the book:

I read the first book of the series and was happy when this one came out. I was glad to see the Merrick family back and I loved catch up with them. I really have high hopes that Liz will get her own story one day because just like in book one this book opens up to Liz a little more. I really liked Casey he knew what he wanted and he went after it with guns a blazing and nothing was going to stop him. He had a big heart for helping injured souls. Man Kirby was not what I expected she was a pistol as well. She is broken but comes back to Wyoming to find healing and hopes to find home again. There is some graphic details towards the end of this story, there is also sexual content in this book so may not be suitable for all. I really did enjoy reading this book over all and had a hard time putting it down wanting to find out what happened next. I really can't wait to see who grandma Meg is cooking up for Jonah.... I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Save It for a Rainy Day Nikki Lynn Barrett Life Won't Wait #4

 Description:

Sam Bennedict has no memories of his life prior to a capture in a war plagued zone. Once a journalist covering the front lines, now he's tormented with nightmares, headaches, and wounds that may never heal. He'd gone MIA and presumed dead, all the while, his family's life went to hell back home.

Now he's returned, trying to acclimate to his new surroundings. Old journals lead him to the niece he left behind, and the woman who adopted her while he was away.

Stacey McGinnis became her brother's guardian at nineteen after a murder/suicide left them alone in the world. She still had plans and dreams, but put them aside not only once, but twice. When a neglected young girl ended up being the one person to save her brother from a painful decision, Stacey knew what she had to do.

When her officially adopted daughter's uncle returns, broken and alone, she will stop at nothing to help him any way she can.

He worries about his quality of life from the after effects of all he went through, and she's struggling with her daughter's changes in wants and needs.

Somehow, the two come together in ways they never imagined, but is love in the cards for these damaged souls?

My thoughts on the book:

Well she freaking did it again, I swear this author's books need to come with some sort of warning, aka this book will need at least two boxes of tissues and maybe one stiff drink, now that I have given you are warning let me tell you my thoughts. This book was SO good but also so emotional and gut wrenching Sam is really going through hell to get back to those he loves but also trying to find who he is. I loved Stacy she always wanted to help those she loves and forgets about herself. I feel like she is so relatable and so someone I feel like I could be friends with. Lily and her story in this just broke my heart I won't give anything away but WOW OH WOW!!! Over all this book was so powerful and so good I really could not put this down and I was glad to read more about Winnie, Parker, Tucker, and Quinn. I can't wait to see where the author goes next with this group but I am sure we all won't be disappointed. The reno on her dilapidated beach house in the Outer Banks might be just the distraction she needs to keep her debilitating anxiety attacks at bay and begin to heal her heart...if she can ignore the ridiculously handsome guy next door.

At twenty-eight, single-dad Jackson Montgomery’s life revolves around his five-year-old daughter and his job as a search-and-rescue pilot for the coast guard. He’s no stranger to saving a damsel in distress, and though his gorgeous new neighbor is clearly in distress, she’s no damsel. She’s stubborn as hell with walls a mile thick, and the dog tags hanging from her rearview mirror give him a pretty good clue as to why.

It doesn’t matter that their attraction is undeniable—she swore she’d never fall for another pilot, let alone a military man. There are some wounds time can’t heal, and some fears too consuming to conquer.

She’s a barely breathing heartbreak on the edge of recovery.
He’s a crash waiting to happen.
Together they could have it all...if they can endure the coming storm.

My thoughts on the book:

This is a new author to me so I wasn't sure what to think at first, however the author did not disappoint. The first thing I did noticed is the book is told in a first person point of view. What I liked was that although told in a FPP the author told the story from both characters point of view so there was no way you are going to miss a thing. Hands down I loved Fin what an amazing little girl with lots of sass. I however did not like Brie and was glad the author made her story short. This book is very powerful, intense, and super emotional the author did an amazing job and getting to the heart of the matter and totally drawing you in leaving you wanting me. I loved how no matter what Morgan faced Jackson was going to have her back, he truly was a hero. This book does have curse words and sex so may not be suitable for all readers. Overall this book was amazing and I truly could not put this down, when you grab this book make sure you have a box of tissue close by. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

The Roommate Problem Mariah Ankenman- Mile High Happiness #3

Description:
To Moira “Mo” Rossi, the world is full of sunshine, goodness, and happily ever afters—so of course she figures finding the perfect roomie will be easy. But after four creepos who ask if benefits come with the room and one woman who claims she’s a vampire, Mo is officially desperate. So what if the guy she agrees to on paper ends up being the Derrick Downer to her Sally Sunshine in person? She’s the queen of making lemonade.

August Porter expected his new roommate Mo to be like him—neat, practical, and oh yeah: male. Not the outrageous hippie with more stars in her eyes than there are in the sky. She’s infuriating, exasperating, his exact opposite in every possible way...and the bright ray of sunshine he didn’t even realize his gray world was missing. Suddenly, falling into bed with his roommate isn’t the worst idea he’s ever heard. Just falling in love with her is.

But one of them is keeping a secret that could turn their opposite attraction into utter disaster.

My thoughts on the book:

This book should have been named pineapple pizza and protein shakes!!! If you want to know why read the book you will quickly understand . At first I liked August but he quickly got on my nerves he came across whiny and I was so over him and felt that Mo could do better. Mo is hands down someone who was easy to love social butterfly comes to mind immediately and she’s just a bright spot in everyone’s life who she encounters. She was so fun to read about I swear I could see her as a friend if she wasn’t fictional, she totally made this book. This book does have curse words and adult situations so may not be suitable for all readers. Over all fun read. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
