My thoughts on the book:

Ainsley is dealing with a broken heart and now she needs to face her friends and family at her best friends engagement party and she's glad to face it with her good friends. When Ryan challenges her she takes in on in hopes to also change him a little too and they both set the same rules not falling in love and no sex, just plain fun. Ryan is not a family or relationship kind of guys he likes to have fun and no connections at all to any women. He is set to show Ainsley how to have fun, relax and live in the moment. Will they both be able to walk away with their hearts in tack? 
What fun book the emotions are all over the place through out. The friendship between the female  characters seem more like siblings they just were there for each other no matter what. I did not read all the books in the series but I loved the two I read and want to go back and read the other. I really enjoyed the way that the author had both characters in the book struggle and it was not about who was the hero but how each came together. This book has strong language through out and does have some adult scenes so it may not be for everyone. Overall I did find it hard to put down I want to find what twist the author was going to through out next.

 I have totally enjoyed both Kelly's books I can't wait to read more from her. I love as a reader getting to know more about the authors I have read, So I sat down with Kelly and asked her some questions I hope you enjoy the interview and stick around for the giveaway at the end. 

1)  How did you get into writing and when did I start? 

My parents' attic has a box filled with books we made from fabric and cardboard in the second grade, with my stories written inside.  I was obsessed.  Even when I wasn't physically writing my stories down, I created them constantly and they almost always involved romance.  One of my favorite activities was cutting characters out of magazines and making up stories about them.  I had hundred of envelopes saved, each with their own little cast of paper cutout people inside.

As I got older it became more and more obvious to me that writing as a career would be difficult, if not impossible.  I found myself falling in love with the idea of being a lawyer and working to protect abused children.  The funny thing is that I've managed to pursue that dream and revive my writing aspirations.  My mom passed away right before I graduated law school and got married, and I found myself in a bit of a funk.  She was a musician, and so it felt very important for me to capture and carry on some of her creative spirit.  After some soul searching, my husband suggested I try writing again.  I'd be lying if I said it was easy going.  I wrote The Wedding Date and submitted it to agents, one of whom requested a revise and re-submit.  She ultimately passed on my re-write, but Dawn Dowdle of the Blueridge Literary Agency signed me.  And requested that I re-write my manuscript.  When Grand Central got it on submission, they requested that I pitch a three book series...and of course that I do some major re-writes.  Technically, I've seen my first book published, but I've re-written it at least a dozen times so I'm not sure it counts!

2) What writers really inspire me? 

This is such a hard question to answer because I know and respect so many authors.  Within the romance industry, I very much look up to Kelly Moran.  She writes stories that suck me in and keep me enthralled, she was kind and generous with giving me advice when I was starting out, and she truly loves and values her fans.  She's the type of author I aspire to be in terms of writing style and personality.  Outside of romance, I love The Hunger Games.  I resisted reading it for years because I found the premise gruesome.  Once I started to read I was hooked and I continue to marvel at Suzanne Collins' ability to write compelling characters and fast moving plots.

3)  Do you have other projects in the works?  

I'm in the middle of writing my third Belmont Beach book, which is Ryan's story.  It's a blast to write because he's very witty and sarcastic, so he needed to wind up with a woman who would challenge him.  I have one more plot line in the back of my mind in case I decide to continue with the Belmont Beach series.  If not, I have the first book of my next series written, as well as two plot lines for sequels.  The second series starts with Ben DeLuca, a Hollywood actor who's wrestling with his desire for a more traditional lifestyle and professional photographer Alex Pettit, who is limelight avoidant.  Their chemistry is explosive, but they want completely different things in life.

4)  What do you like to do in your spare time? 

 Spare time?  What's that?  I have a regular day job as a lawyer, which doesn't always leave me the most time for writing.  When I'm not working and not writing I'm often at the gym or walking my dogs.  My husband and I have been active in animal rescue for more than ten years and currently have three cats and two dogs.  I also love to drink wine and eat good food.  Thank goodness we live in Richmond, where there are lots of restaurants to enjoy!

5)  For your own reading do you enjoy e-reader or paperback books?  

Paperback.  I'm guilty of compulsively one click shopping and I love to organize my kindle into different categories, but bookstores and libraries bring me a level of joy and excitement that can never be replicated.  Every Summer I anticipate laying in a pool chair and reading obsessively.  I find myself building huge To Read lists on Goodreads and placing holds on all the newest releases at the library.  I love exploring the library and leaving with a pile of books. That said, my husband and I downsized houses last year, so most books I want to own need to be on Kindle.  Otherwise, there'd be no room for us to live in our house with the books!

I think this is a problem most readers have, Well I know I do. 

6)- I just have fallen in love with the characters of Belmont, Can you

   tell us what your upcoming book The Family Man is all about? 

The Family Man is about Beth Beverly.  We met her as Kate's best friend in The Wedding Date.  She's based on a real life acquaintance of mine who is sunshine personified.  I always admired her, so when it came time to write Beth a lot of her mannerisms popped into my head.  She's attracted to the slightly brooding and mysterious Griffin Hall, who is a former rockstar and moved to the small town of Belmont where he owns a coffee shop and is raising his daughter Mabel.  They're compulsively attracted to one another, but both feel a responsibility to go about dating the "right" way.  I tried to play with this idea that we're all told there are rules to dating and social acceptable ways to pursue our attraction to someone else.  Real life often doesn't work that way and Beth and Griffin the perfect example.  They both feel a strong responsibility for the people in their lives and need to learn how to balance that with pursuing their own happiness.

7)What is one thing you really enjoyed about writing The Family Man?  

Griffin's daughter Mabel.  She's a trip.  I don't have kids but I spent a lot of time babysitting, and my job brings me into contact with a lot of children.  Mabel is spunky and full of fire.  I found her to be endlessly entertaining.  She's one of those characters I didn't have to work to create; she more or less already existed and I just translated her onto paper.

I just love Mabel she is a spitfire and adds to much to this book!!!

8)  Can we expect to see more from the characters of Belmont Beach?  

That's up to my publisher!  To be candid, I wrote The Wedding Date as a standalone and it was my publisher who encouraged me to expand and follow up on some of the other characters. I have a few more Belmont residents I'd love to provide a HEA for, but I'm also satisfied by the opportunity I've had to fully portray this really close friend group.  This reminds me that I need to email my editor and ask her this question!

My thoughts on the book:
Beth is starting over again so she working 3 part time jobs and she just enjoys making her muffins and her delivery especially to the very sexy business owner Griffin. She works so hard to get his attention to put a smile on his face every time she makes that delivery, but when she finds out he has a daughter she wonders if they can have a relationship and if she can make it work. Griffin gave up his life of traveling and parting for the best thing that has ever happen to him his daughter. He really can not take his eyes off of Beth overtime he sees her and he wonders if he can date and protect his caught and give her the best life he know she deserves. But he's keeping a secret and he knows that he needs to tell Beth before they go any further but will he hold off to long and loose everything he holds precious to him?
 Kelly has done it again, she knocked it out of the park. I really enjoyed this book.  I love the crazy, quirky fun loving people in this book. I loved the fun role Griffin's daughter May played in the book she just was such a pistol with a sweet personality. I had a hard time putting this book down I know its like 250 pages but it didn't feel like that all I was kind of sad to see it end, because it was just that good. There are some adult scenes and strong language in the book so the book may not be for everyone but those who don't mind this book is so worth the read and very, very enjoyable. It's full of laughs and full of heart of the matter as well.

My Summer Read Picks!!!

So as summer is coming I thought I would share some of my favorite reads so far this year. The Choices were chose at random and are in no particular order. So no other delays, Here are my top 10 choices. 

1. The Peppercorn Project Nicki Edwards

2. Love of the Game, Lori Wilde

I feel in love with this series so you really can't read one with out the other and I hope you enjoy this group as much as I did. Super clean books with some laughs and tears. 6. Montana Skies Mary Alford

• Cara Stevens is finally coming back home to Cartwright, Montana. But will she find the place she longs from her childhood or a past without hope. Except her life is in shambles, her heart broken and the man she thought she had left behind is standing before her claiming to be a changed man.

This book is was short and sweet. While this book a love story this book is not from a place of frills but both people are coming from a place of brokenness and trying to move into a healing place. 7.Wedding Date Kelly Eadon

• Kate Massie has big dreams-they just haven't worked out. Yet. In the meantime, she spends her days clerking for a judge and her nights fantasizing about her tall, dark, and sexy gym crush. So when she runs into him one night, she's shocked to realize he was her shy, nerdy junior-prom date. But that isn't where the surprises end . . .   James Abell needs a date to his sister's wedding. So when Kate agrees, he's relieved . . . until one little lie turns their wedding date into a full-blown fake relationship. Only it doesn't feel fake-not the toe-curling kisses and definitely not the electricity. Neither of them is looking for something real . . . but they just might fall for their own little white lie.

While this book has some strong language I loved these fun and crazy characters it had me laughing at there antics and the fun crazy ideas that are up to. 8. Sense and Sensibility Sarah Price

• Henry Detweiler dies unexpectedly, leaving his second wife and three daughters, Eleanor, Mary Ann, and Maggie, in the care of John, his oldest son from a previous marriage. John and his wife, Fanny, inherit the farm and, despite a deathbed promise to take care of their stepmother and half-sisters, John and Fanny make it obvious that Mrs. Detweiler and her daughters are not welcomed at the farm. I just love me a good amish book but this one did not disappoint at all in fact the night I finished it I went and got 3 more from this author. This group of book is call the Jane Austin books and while I have never read Jane Austin I really enjoy this book and can't wait to read an review the others this summer. 9. Deadlock Diann Mills

My thoughts on the book:

Kate is back in Belmont a place she called home for most her life but a place she never really gave much thought in coming back to after college. When she runs into a guy at the gym she knows she much meet the star of her dreams. When she does she knows he will need to remain in the friend zone to keep her heart in tacked. James in so happy to see her at the gym he can't wait to "run" into her again. He is beyond happy when his best friend gives him that chance but he not happy with her matchmaking or her crazy ideas. I totally loved all the crazy fun characters in this book. It seemed to me like a backwards cinderella story, almost. Kate had dreams and James had dreams but making those dreams seemed almost impossible and the author did a great job at keeping the crazy in the story to a perfect amount to keep you drawn in and leaving you wanting more. I loved how it didn't feel drawn out but the perfect fun story. This is the perfect captivating summer read for any person who loves the perfect crazy not so perfect love story.
