My Review:

I really enjoy amish books and this author did a spend on the story so it made the read very different by good. I was not a fan of Joline at all she was a brat and she really was annoying. I like Nettie she faced a lot but she was a fighter. I really loved Mrs. V she was like an angel working to leave the world in a better place then she found it. I did feel like there was a ton of conflict in this book which I did not really feel like it was all needed, but overall the book was a fun read to see where the author took the characters was fun as well. My thoughts on the book:

I really liked this book, I felt like the book was more geared towards a younger reader (teenagers), however I feel like as an adult reader it was still a very fun read. I liked Kayla she was very independent and very strong willed willing to keep fighting now matter what she faced. Aaron he came off kind of immature at first but I felt like the more you read he seems to grow up a lot. Joel and Tiny was fun to read about as well and you can tell they were both immature but looking to grow up as well. I LOVED Sarah she was hands down my favorite she has a heart for everyone that comes into her life weather big or small, long or short. She truly felt like an angel/grandmother to so many in this book while trying to find more about her self. I really don't think I can say anything negative about this book over all it was just a really good read and draws you in and you want to find out what is going to happen next. This is a good clean read as well.

My thoughts on the book:

The Christmas not Wish

Before you sit down and start reading grab a box of tissues you will thank you me later. 

This story was so guy wrenching, two children looking for they belonged and wanting nothing more then to have a family who loves them. EA and Will want a family and they get a surprise but they love these two like no other. This story was the perfect Christmas story it just draws you in and before you know it it’s over. So so good!

New Beginnings

When faced with loosing someone you love is hard enough but during the holidays is even harder. Elizabeth faced just that and she was trying her hardest to continue to tackle life as if threw her for a loop. Luke has always pined for Elizabeth and if that meant helping her and loving her from a far he was going to do it even if it killed him inside. I like Luke for that reason he just seemed to have this big heart of gold and was whiling to be there for his neighbors no matter who that was. This was a tough story to read if you ever loss someone close because you can truly feel the emotions, but you really can’t go wrong with it either.

Twins Times Two

This story was kind of a lighthearted story in away compared to the other two stories in the book. While Abagail dealt with loss she was healing and trying to make amends with the past. I loved the twin brothers man what kind of mischief those four could get into, and boy did they add some laughter to this book. I like Jube he was a sweet spirit who just left you wanting to do more for others. I like this story a lot it really did remind you what Christmas was all about. 

Overall this book was a fun read emotional but also lighthearted. This book is a good clean read and suitable for all ages. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My thoughts on the book:

This story was cute and does get to the heart of the matter for sure. I deals with loss and finding yourself. With both Lucas and Esther each dealing with where they belong.  I did find Esther a little whinny and I felt like Lucas had a big heart and he seemed to really want what was best for his people. I did feel like in some parts the book dragged a little. I did enjoy that the author kept the book  a good clean read and is suitable for all. I enjoyed both Esther and Lucas Mom's they truly just shined in this book. If you are looking for a clean read with some fun characters check this book out. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I am the type of person who does not read the back of the book because most the times it give away a good portion of the book away, but with this book after the first two chapters I read it and was able to understand more what was happening. I was not able to put this book down it really just drew me in. My heart broke with Abi and Jemima, they are both strong women but both seem to face something that they need each other and God to get them through. I have to say I was a huge fan of Chris totally cheering him on through out the book. I will say that this book may touch a nerve with some people as it does discuss things that some christians find unfathomable, but go if you go into this story with an open heart and mind I believe wholeheartedly that the authors have something for all of us to learn from and will totally leaving you wanting more. I don't even know where to begin with this review. So from the very first page the author sucks you into the story and keeps you guessing almost to the very end and I say almost only because she finally says who does it and with in a few pages he's caught. This book was so stinking good. you get to catch up with characters from Amish county kiddnapping. The author was throwing in twist and turns and the whole time leaving you wanting more. I really can't wait to read more from this group of characters. This is a good clean book and suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. I wanted to start off with some random questions and then I will jump in to your books. Ok let's get started. 

• What are some of your Hobbies?

Is reading considered a hobby? I’m huge reader. My Kindle is full of books and I keep adding to them almost every day. And in our neighborhood, we have our own reading club. The ladies of the neighborhood pass around the books they’ve read. Right now, I have a bag full of books to read. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be enough time to read everything that I want to read. 

In addition to reading, I love to play the piano. For me, playing Christian songs on the piano is another way to draw closer to God. A form of worship. 

I also play at gardening, (I say play because I mostly have a black thumb), and I love doing crafts, especially around Christmas time. 

• Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

For me, coffee is a necessity. I can’t start my day without two cups of Starbucks House Blend, (though I think it’s mostly mental since I drink decaf). 

• What’s your favorite go to meal?

Hum, that’s a hard one. Most of our meals are simple, but if I could name one meal that’s a favorite, I’d say its homemade pizza with everything, and I mean everything, on it. 

• I know some authors like to have certain snacks or drinks while they write, do you have a favorite snack food or drink around why you write?

I do! I’m a huge fan of peanut butter M&Ms and Bai Coconut Water. It’s hard to write without them. They’ve become part of my routine, although only a handful of the M&Ms. The Bai Coconut Water, well, I don’t feel bad about drinking them. 

• Do you or did you have a person that inspired you to write?

My husband has always been my biggest supporter. He encourages me to keep going when sometimes that’s not an easy thing to do, and when I fail, he props me up. He’s amazing. I can’t imagine doing what I do without him. 

• Do you have a Favorite place to write?

I know a lot of authors have offices and I do as well, but more times than not, I’ve got my laptop in my lap and I’m in my recliner with the TV going, or not. I can write either way. 

• Do you have a favorite author?

Yes, I have many. But the two that most inspire me are Lynette Eason and Christy Barritt. These ladies are dynamos. Not only are the amazing storytellers, but they are humble and giving women. I’ve asked them both for advice many times and they’re always willing to help. 

• I love that you write suspense it seems like very book I have ever read by you always have me on the edge of my seat. Is there something that inspires you to write suspense?

I’d say it’s what I enjoy reading more than anything, and I love the challenge of pitting good and against evil. Though I’m the author and I know the outcome going into a story, the journey to get to that happy ending can be challenging and thrilling to write. I love that! 

• Out of all your books do you have a favorite?

I know its corny, but my favorite is the next book I’m writing. I just turned in another Amish Suspense set in West Kootenai, Montana, and I hated to see it end. Now, I’m starting a new spy story for the next installment of the Cost of Redemption series, and I’m chomping at the bit to tell CIA Director Coleman Dean’s story. 

• I know you just released two books this month Blackbird and Amish Country Kidnapping do you have a favorite character in either one of these stories?

I love how broken the heroine in Blackbird, Sara Hersberger, is. She survived her father’s abuse only to believe he’s a serial killer. How do you get beyond that? Both Blackbird and Amish Country Kidnapping are second chance stories where the hero and heroine had once been in love, but for different reasons, their romance didn’t survive. Now they have a second chance. Those types of stories are favorites of mine. 

• Both stories are Amish based do you find it hard to keep the stories close to their Authenticity even though these are fiction books? 

Amish stories in particular are hard to write, because there are religious beliefs that the Amish adhere to that must be respected. I do tons of research to make sure that I do justice to the Plain way of life, but yes, it is hard, especially when you have an Amish hero or heroine and someone who isn’t at the time of the story. 

• Which scene was most difficult to write?

In my March release, Amish Country Murder, I have a heroine who is being held by a serial killer. Writing about how desperate she felt while being held hostage, and then the terrifying escape scene were so hard to write. I wanted to keep them real, but there were limits to what I could put in the book. Writing about bad guys can be difficult. 

• Were there scenes you ended up cutting you wish you could've kept? 

Having to cut scenes is hard. Off the top of my head, I’d say having to tone down some of the scenes to fit the story is the hardest for me. All of my books are Christian books, so it’s a balance to keep the stories real, and yet not offend anyone. 

• If you can, can you tell us what is next?

I just turned in my November Love Inspired story that is again set in West Kootenai, Montana, and it is the first book in a series about the Shelter brothers. The first book features Aaron Shelter and a woman who is on the run and hiding out near the community. 

I’m also working on book four of the Courage Under Fire series. It is entitled Chinook Winds. It is the final in this series but will introduce another exiting series to come.

What a sweet story. The story is about finding forgiveness in the broken. I loved Chloe what a spirited child total spit fire for sure she added a huge element to the story in my opinion. At first I was not a fan of Logan I wanted to punch him but he does grow on you a little. Hope was a fighter no matter what she faced she was fighting it head on with the grace and faith of God. This author had a way of getting to your heart and really sucking you into the story to see what will happen next. Nothing seemed to be off limits in this story which made the characters very relatable. My thoughts on the book:

I was not a fan for this book at all. I felt like for the first 4 to 5 chapters the author spent dwelling and repeating about the way the main characters are "simple" minded it became to the point of annoying. I also felt like the author tries to make these characters be grown up or at least that's what Jenna and Buddy wanted to be seeing as grown ups but they came off very childish and it just didn't seem to fit the tone of the book. I will say for the most part it is a clean read there is one scene I am sure someone will be offended by but to each his own. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts on the book:

Have you ever read a book and you know your coming to the end but you also don't want it to end because its just that good? That book was this to me. I really could not put this book down. the author  will keep you on the edge of your seat for sure. I liked how the author kept the book clean. I loved Ivy she is your typical teenager attitude but also the most respectful caring girl with the biggest heart. Hunter faced a lot but still tried to follow Gods will. Seriously grab this book its a quick read and you can't go wrong.

This book was not for me I felt like the book dragged a lot. I felt like the whole book was completely predictable and found it hard to just follow the over all story. This book was so so good. I literally could not put this book down once I started it. I swear I thought I had it figured out and then the author through a twist I didn't see coming. This book is a clean read and will not disappoint at all. My thoughts on the book:

I like this story it was cute and down to earth. I did however feel like parts of the story did drag on. Without giving much away I wish the main subject or at least it felt like the main subject would have been handled a lot sooner in the book and the secondary situation would have played out sooner so there could be more of that story and less of the other. I loved Zach he felt like wasn’t good enough but he always seemed to keep his head up and keep fighting for what was right. I was not a huge fan of Vernon and I wish we found out more about Jon. I liked Grace a lot to she was reckless, fun, independent and reliable and you could totally feel like you could be friends with her. This book was a good clean read and fun to boot. My thoughts on the book:

In most amish book is always about the good and how they struggle with something in their life styles or leaving the religion. In this book the author took you for a twist and turn, super twisted for sure, but very realistic. I really liked Sadie, and her Mom they were both very stubborn and strong willed but very out spoken and they author made you feel like you were catching up with friends. I wish Elam would have been a little bit more spoken but he and his brother hands down had hearts of gold and would do anything for those they love. This book was a quit read and you really can't go wrong with this book.

My thoughts on the book:

I have read Amy's book in the past so I was excited to get a chance to read this one. I liked Christiana and the relationship she had with her sister and her cousins they were fun to read about and the close relationship was more like a bunch of sisters instead of cousins. I also enjoyed the relationship with Jeff and Nick, Nick was that annoying little brother you just have to love no matter what. When the information comes out about Christiana's dat it broke my heart and made everything makes sense. I did feel like it was pretty predictable but over all a really fun read. This book is suitable for all ages and is a good clean read if you love amish reads or a good love story this book is totally worth the read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I love a good Christmas book I mean who doesn't. This book was one of those I could not put the story down I wanted to see what the characters where up to next. I love how the authors didn't even try and make these characters perfect, they all struggled with decisions that would impact their lives for the rest of their lives and each one struggled. I felt like this is one of this books that you as the read can take a life lesson away from. I will say the author has you laughing and crying. My heart broke for two of the characters in more ways than one. This book seemed to truly just fly by and it was great catching up with some of the characters from The Christmas Remedy. My thoughts on the book:


I loved Alfi, Bitzy, and Benji, they hand down were my favorite characters they added a element to the story. This story has your emotions all over the place for sure. The author has you laughing, crying and wanting to punch someone all in the same chapter. I love how strong and stubborn Mary was she had a way of just shining off the pages. Andrew is one I had a love/hate relationship with some moments I wanted to hate him and then he would do something and I would love. I really loved how the author did not try and make the Amish these perfect people that some authors do, because of that the story makes it feel like I’m catching up with friends instead of fictional people. I really liked everything about this book. I loved that it was a good clean read and perfect for all, and that you find yourself not wanting to put it down. I hope there is more to come with this fun family, I really can’t imagine what the twins will cook up next. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
