FLASHBACK Michelle Sass Aleckson

 Description:
SECRETS. BETRAYAL. SACRIFICE.
THIS TIME, THEY'RE NOT JUST FIGHTING FIRE.

An original series created by bestselling authors Susan May Warren and Lisa Phillips.

He’s the last person she wants to see…

Allie Monroe is desperate for a fresh start. Grieving the loss of her first SAR dog, she’s gone to Montana to train her new K9, Scout. And when two boys go missing during a wildfire, she’s brought on board to find them.

But the one person tasked to help her is the
last person she wants to see—arrogant and dangerous Dakota Masterson.

It’ll take exactly this man to save everything she loves.

Former SWAT officer Dakota Masterson is a new man after confronting the demons of his past, including his first unfortunate meeting with Allie. But admittedly, she’s the last person he thought he’d see again…or have to work with. Still, maybe this is his chance to prove to her that he’s a different man—because she’s the one woman he can’t seem to forget.

However, with the flames closing in, finding the boys might mean confronting the painful memories of their short-lived relationship. Then, Allie’s dog goes missing, suddenly someone is shooting at them, and they find themselves in a race against a wildfire and a threat that wants them dead. More, when Allie goes missing, Dakota’s past—and his issues—come roaring back.

It’ll take the SWAT officer in him to save the day, but will it cost them a future they both long for?

Get ready to be swept away in a world where survival, redemption, and second chances collide in book three of the Chasing Fire: Montana series.

My Review:
This book was so relatable making it a little tough to read, however it was a really good book. I really liked Allie she was so standoffish in the beginning I really wasn't sure what I was going to think but to what her grown and become someone amazing was so fun. Dakota he did not hold back and I loved how his friend on the fire crew put him in his place a time or too as well. I really like Ethan and Nolan those boys saw a lot but were fighters and would not stop at anything to protect their mom. I really hope to learn more about there story and hope this was not the end. Overall this book is a must read and was so worth the read.

Last Dance with the Texas Bull Rider Rebecca Crowley

 Description:

She was always the ‘perfect’ Star—until she fell…

Jessa Star danced her way to the perfect ballet career, and when injury cut it short, she returned to Last Stand, Texas to open a dance studio—the perfect back-up plan. She’s convinced everyone she’s perfectly happy and perfectly fulfilled, and she’s confident the secret that could blow up her life is perfectly concealed—until her wildly imperfect bull-rider husband careens into town.

Happy-go-lucky Caleb “Calamity” Ross may not be a top-tier rodeo cowboy, but he doesn’t mind. His life on the road is fun, free, and fast enough to outrun his toxic upbringing. But when a bad wreck at the Last Stand Rodeo puts him in the hospital, he wakes to find his runaway bride by his side—the one woman who might matter enough to stop him in his rambling tracks.

Their marriage was a joke, but there’s nothing funny about their connection, or the threats they pose to each other’s futures. The clock is ticking on their wedding bells, and they’ll have to decide whether to say ‘I do’ again—or say goodbye.

My Review:
I was excited to read this book  because the first few were such a fun reads and I couldn't wait to see what the sisters were up too. I like Jessa while you can see she struggled with self confidence like most women do but it totally made her feel 100% relatable. She was also a fighter she fought for what she felt was right to her bones. Caleb had to grow on me some while I love a good cowboy in a story I felt like he just did not fit that tough exterior, honestly it felt like he had nothing else in life so he fell back on the one thing that would be an adventure. Eventually his shell was cracked and you got to see the real him for who he was, which was this fun loving guy with a big heart. Overall I really did enjoy the story. There is sexual content in the story so it may not be suitable for all. Also I loved Amy she's a spitfire and one not to mess with.
Spoil alert:
I will say the situation that has played out in the other two books with the aunt and cousin from the girls mom's was kind of anti-climatic to me.
