What's the book about:
Two people starting over . . . in a town known for second chances
After a devastating layoff, attorney Eric Nash heads back to Hope Harbor--only to discover that his childhood home is being transformed into a bed and breakfast. Instead of plotting his next career move in peace, he's constantly distracted by noise, chaos--and BJ Stevens, the attractive but prickly blonde architect who's invaded the house with her motley crew. As for BJ, her client's son might be handsome, but after a disastrous romance, dating isn't high on her agenda. Yet when they join forces for to help Hope Harbor seniors, might they also find healing, hope, and a new beginning themselves?
Come home to Hope Harbor--where hearts heal . . . and love blooms
My thoughts on the book:
After a layoff Eric heads home for a short vacation and gets another surprise when he walks into his dads remodel could this day get any worst. He needs to plan his next career move and he's in the middle of a construction zone. But as he's faced with things and helping out his dad's architect he wonders if he knows the choices he's going to make or if he's running from something?
BJ is true to right a wrong and she knows that her plan can help a ton of people and knows that it just has to work, but when faced with some kick back she wonders if she failing the people of Hope Harbor. Will BJ be able to protect her heart and those close to her or will she be at risk again of loosing it all when she is thrown together with Eric to help with Helping Hands?
There are two main chapters in this book and 2 sub characters each play an important part to the story and have an equal part in the book, its not hard to keep up with who or what is going on so that really nice. Each character seems to be running from something that has happened huge in their past and the struggle is very hard. The storyline is well written and is easy to enjoy the characters. I think in both the first book and this one Charley is my favorite and I am not sure if the author is trying but in my eyes he's and angel and seems like such a sweet man. I really enjoyed Hope Harbor and the togetherness the community offers.
The only downside I found was it felt like the book dragged a little in some places. Over all this is a good clean romance and completely an enjoyable read.
