Description:
When Deputy Sam Brooks commits to something, nothing can sway him--not just on the job as liaison between the Mercy Falls sheriff's department and PEAK Rescue, but in his private life. He's the one who stuck around to take care of his mother after his father's accidental death. And he's the one--perhaps the only one--who believes Sierra Rose is the perfect girl for him. Safe, practical, and organized, she's nothing like her hippie, impulsive, bleeding heart sister, Willow.
Willow, however, has been in love with Sam Brooks for as long as she can remember. But she wants her sister to have a happy ending. Besides, Willow has other things to focus on--namely, nabbing the job as youth pastor for her small-town church. Best thing for her to do is to purge Sam from her heart.
Neither can predict the events that will bring them together in a fight for their lives in the forbidding wilderness of Glacier National Park. Stranded, injured, and with the winter weather closing in, Sam and Willow will have to work together to save a crew of terrified teenagers. As they fight to survive, they might just discover a new hope for love.
My thoughts on the book:
Sam is living his life to be simple, predictable and organized and he found someone who can give him that life Sierra. It just seems he need to try and convince her of that. When things start going array in the park he starts to question everything and he continues to be angry with his brother. Can he let go of that anger and heal that relationship or is it to far gone? Willow is a free spirit and she is working hard to prove herself to the church so that she can take over as the new youth leader. But it seems she has more to prove then just to them she has a lot to prove to herself and those around her. When things start to fall apart around her she turns to God, but then she also starts to question a few thing in her life. Will she be able to find healing and help those around her before it to late? Pete is a wild child always looking for the next thrill, never willing to slow down. Jess is hiding a secret and she knows if she tell Pete that might be the end of them before she even had a chance to tell him how she felt for him.
Any good book will leave you wanting more and thats my favorite kind of read. This book did that and did not disappoint. I loved how this group of friends seek to help others but also are faced with the own trials along the way they need to face. I will say just like any series book this one does end in a small cliffhanger of two of the characters, but it was expected. I really enjoyed this book a lot, the storyline grabs you and I had truly a hard time putting it down I just need to know what was going to happen next. This book was and talked a lot about forgiveness and healing. I love that it was not just about a group of friends out to help others but had a moral to the story. If you are looking for a good book, with a love story attached and so suspense in it then seriously grab this book and the others in the series you really can't go wrong and you wont be disappointed.
