The Rancher Risks It All Debra Holt

 Description:
She’s on the run…

On a storm-ravaged night, Texas rancher Truitt Tremayne is trying to make it home before the road floods. Years ago he lost his parents, fiancée and youngest brother in a flash flood on the same country road, so it seems like déjà vu when he nearly hits a stranded car with a beautiful woman and her sister trapped inside.

Annie Sims and her sister Jessie are running from their past. She’s headed to San Antonio where they can disappear, but bad luck follows them. With her funds depleted and her car useless, Truitt’s offer of a temporary sanctuary with no questions asked seems too good to be true. Soon Annie finds herself falling under the spell of the kind, silent rancher. But can she let her guard down and still keep her sister safe, or is she courting more danger?

Truitt knows Annie has a secret. He wants her trust, but can he give his heart to another woman after he’s already lost so much?

My Review:
I really thought this book was so cute, I liked how Jessie was just as much a part of the story as Annie and Truitt were. With Truitt and Annie both healing from a brokenness in their lives they still worked hard to help others. I love Aunt Sal she sees things that others hope she won't and loves her nieces and nephews. I love the small town of this book and the sub-characters and how they just love and welcome anyone into there circle. This book was a clean read and was such a fun read. I can't wait to see where the author takes this family next and I really can't wait for Tori's story!! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

After having his heart broken on national television, Tim Fraser knows only one way to stop the gossip about his love life-a new girlfriend. The problem is, he's done with romance forever. Emily has secretly lusted after Tim for years, but pretending her feelings are all for show never factored into her fantasy. Still, her decades-long crush makes it impossible to say no to Tim's proposal. But with each date, the lines between pretend and reality blur, giving Tim and Emily a tantalizing taste of life outside the friend zone . . . if they can find the courage to give real love a chance.

My Review:
SO in the first book Forever with You I loved Emily and was so ready for her to have her happily ever after so I was excited when I got this book. I still liked Emily and I loved that Leyna was back and she was just as feisty as ever. I liked Fuzzy he was super eccentric and while he seemed to use a situation for his greater good but his heart was in the right place. I was not a huge fan of Tim I just felt he was selfish and overall not a huge fan of his. I did like Emily's grandma she was a pistol and while she faced something tough she stopped at nothing to show Emily how worthy she was of love. This book does have adult content and may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Ranger by Julia Justiss

 Description:
He can’t resist a puzzle…

When Texas Ranger Brice McAllister spies a sexy woman in short shorts gardening in her backyard, he can’t help but flirt. She shuts him down hard, and Brice is astonished when he realizes this alluring woman is also the aloof and dowdy librarian—complete with thick-framed glasses and a shapeless dress—who helped him research land deeds earlier that day. He’s instantly intrigued and sets out to discover more—namely, why she’s clearly hiding herself.

She can’t attract attention...

After one side of her crime family is involved in her fiancé’s death, Maria Giordano puts half a continent between herself and her L.A. home and family. She moves to Whiskey River and reinvents herself as “Mary,” a serious and plain librarian. Her only indulgence is her garden and cooking with her neighbor’s young daughter. And then she meets Brice.

Maria has every reason to avoid and resent a man with a badge, but when she needs protection, the last man she thinks she can trust is the first one she turns too.

My Review:
I did not read any of the other books in the series but I don't feel like it was hard to catch up on what and who was who. I loved Bunny in this book she was a firecracker and she just was loved by all which made her parts fun to read, she loved everyone and loved to help everyone. I liked Mary but she always seemed to be looking for something wrong even when there wasn’t anything, she was not a favorite of mine in this story. She just seemed really put off. I liked Brice he was so patient and he truly seemed like a true gentleman through out. I liked how he wanted to make things better in the world even things better for his bestie, Bunny!!! This was a quick read and easy to read. Overall this was a semi clean read but completely predicable. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Summer Sisters Sara Richardson

 Description:
Three sisters search to reunite their family and find love along the way in this heartwarming, multi-generational novel—fans of Lori Foster and Maisey Yates won't be able to resist this author's "unputdownable, unforgettable stories from the heart" (Jill Shalvis, New York Times bestselling author).

The Buchanan sisters share everything—including their inherited Juniper Inn. But when their mother won’t let go of a decades-long feud with their Aunt Sassy to attend the inn’s grand re-opening, the sisters decide a family reunion is long overdue.

Youngest sister Rose is determined to put together an extravagant celebration. Only she needs to convince a certain surly hardware store owner to help finish the inn’s renovations.

After a heartbreaking end to her marriage, Dahlia and her kids are just starting to rebuild their lives. Dahlia’s even considering opening herself up to love again, but will that upset the stability she’s worked so hard to give her children?

Sassy McGrath has never stopped missing her sister, Lillian, and though they’ve both been too stubborn to reconcile, some shocking news might finally change everything. As family bonds are tested, will these two very different generations of women find the strength to believe in themselves and each other?

My Review:
Y'all the Sisters are back and so is Sassy!!! I forgot how much I like this group of women in Home for the Holidays until I started reading this book. I like I am catch up with friends with this group. Sassy is  still a pistol and this book she was as stubborn as they come, yet set out to help those she loves the most in life. Rose seems to still be find her place at the inn but she is starting to feel like she's fitting in and is ready to even get her hands dirty and help she's someone I think in a way we all want to be. Dahlia is a little more reserved in this book and I can understand why she's trying to find herself after the death of her marriage. Overall I can't with this group of women they really make me wish I had sisters, such a fun read and I could not put it down so well worth it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Lost and Found Family Jennifer Ryan

 Description:

As Sara Anderson drives up to the house in Carmel, she knows she’s on an impossible quest to make peace with the one person who truly hate her. For years, Sara has hidden the truth about her late husband’s lies from their children and their grandmother. When her mother-in-law, Margaret, threatens her with legal action to see the boys, Sara strikes a bargain: she’ll bring them for a six-week visit, hoping the boys, at least, will find connection and happiness with their extended family.

It doesn’t help that attorney and part-time rancher Luke Thompson lives right next door, and as an old friend of the family’s he’s agreed to investigate Sara’s past. Luke doesn’t feel comfortable poking around in the very successful tech CEO’s private life. What he finds is a truth very different from the one he’s been led to believe. Far from being cold and unloving, Sara is devoted to her boys and as at home on the ranch as she is in a boardroom.

All Sarah ever wanted was a family, and all Luke wants now is her love. The time has come to reveal the terrible secrets that have been kept for so long. In losing the past, a new love—and family—can be found.

My Review:
I really liked this book in the beginning however by the time I reached the half way mark I was over it. At first Sara seems like a strong women faced with a past she would rather move on from and enjoy her family then it feels like the author made her so perfect she became unreliable and annoying, seemed like a victim and has to play it up to make her self look better and feel better. I was not a fan of Luke at all he was a jerk from the get go and he just overall seem to play well into the craziness. By the middle of the book it seems like everything gets cleared up and that should be the end only to keep playing things out and it just seems too much. I did like the boys they seemed to have such a sweet spirit about them with all they faced. This book does have adult content and may not be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
