Mount Hope Sarah Price

Description:
When her father can no longer provide for his large family, Fanny Price is sent away from her small Amish community in Colorado to live with her aunt’s family in Mount Hope, Ohio. Fanny immediately feels out of place at the Bontrager farm but finds a friend in her aunt’s stepson, Elijah Bontrager.
As time passes, Fanny begins to long for their friendship to blossom into something more, but her hopes are dashed when Elijah starts to court someone else. With her uncle pressuring her to marry a man who can take her off his hands, Fanny must learn to rely on God for her future.

My thoughts on the book:

Fanny is only 10 years old when her and her brother William her their parents talking and whispering, they wonder if they are going to sell the farm and go back to Lancaster County. What she didn't expect was being send off to her moms family in Ohio. When she arrives she tries to find her place. Now 8 years later she still is trying to find her place and also she is trying to find the love of her life, or has she already found him?
I really really enjoyed this book, Sarah has really knocked it out of the park with this book oh who am I kidding she always does. I have to admit I have never read anything Jane Austen and I know this book is mirrored after one story, however I feel this book was very much a twisted cinderella story. I loved the sassiness, but the tender heart of Fanny. I hated, ok maybe thats a strong word but I totally did not like Timothy, Naomi, or Mariam my dislike for them is because Sarah did an amazing job at connecting the reader with the characters. Sarah has a way in her books of making the reader connect in a way that you feel like you are catching up with a friend and not just reading a story and she has done that again in this book. There is nothing I did not like about this book. I loved that its a good christian/clean read. If you have never read any of her book seriously grab this one and have fun.

Happy Ever After in Christmas Debbie Mason

What's the book about:
It's beginning to look a lot like love . . .

As her thirtieth birthday approaches, deputy Jill Flaherty decides it's time to live a little. When she walks into Sawyer Anderson's bar in her sexiest dress, she's not thinking that he's her brother's best friend or about the many women he dated during his years as a pro hockey player. All she's thinking is that it's finally time to confess to her longtime crush how she truly feels.

Sawyer is done being a player on and off the ice. Yet no one in the small town of Christmas seems to believe he's ready to settle down, not Jill, and certainly not Jack, who is determined to keep Sawyer from breaking his little sister's heart. But as Sawyer and Jill's relationship heats up, can he prove that he's her happy ever after?

My thoughts on the book:

Jill is getting ready for her 30th birthday and it ready to make some big changes in her life. Her friends encourage her to make a vision board and to place all her goals onto it. She wants what everyone around her has a family of her own an husband a good job and most of all a baby. But she wonder if she ever going to be good enough to find that person, she has had her eyes on one person and knows theres no way that is going to happen so when she sets out to find someone she realizes its not as easy as it seems. Sawyer is at a place in his life where he is ready to settle down but being in his home town and being known as a player is not always easy in the search to find MRS. right. His best friend doesn't think he's good enough for his sister Jill and Sawyer wants to see if there is something there. But will Sawyer be able to convince Jack and Jill that his heart is in the right place and he does want happily ever after or will he blow it big time and loose them both?
I really, really enjoyed this book I enjoyed I loved the heart of the story and the author does an amazing way of drawing you in and makes you feel like your more part of the story then just reading the story. There is a part in the book without giving anything away, the situation is so emotional and the raw emotions of the situations are captured so well by the author and put on to paper to just jump out to the reader. I fell in love with Nell she has away of staying in the back ground but letting her presence be known. There are some adult situations in the book as well as strong language so this book is not suitable for all readers. I would highly recommend this book to my friends this book is so well worth the read and the purchase.
