Angel Kisses and Riversong Lynnette Bonner

Description:
He’s a former NFL quarterback from Florida with an injury that has put an end to his career.

She’s a penny pinching innkeeper from Washington, just trying to make enough money to care for her grandmother.

Needing to escape the media and the constant pressure to make a decision about his future, Jett Hudson escapes to a B&B in the small town of Riversong, Washington. A month of R&R in the middle of nowhere ought to do him some good. But when he arrives and has to wake the owner, who is sound asleep at her desk, he starts having second thoughts about his choice of lodging—even if her messy bun reminds him of a halo, and her soft gaze has a way of making him forget to breathe.

After a long night, and even longer day, of taking care of her grandmother, Salem Finn jolts awake to find her new guest—and financial hope—eyeing the door like he wants to make a run for it. All her exhaustion comes to the fore. How is she supposed to be a twenty-four seven caretaker and still run a prosperous business?

Sometimes the river of life takes unexpected turns. And sometimes those turns lead to angel kisses…and Riversong.

This contemporary, sweet, clean romance will take you to small-town America, where the neighbors all know each other's business, and the police chief's biggest worry is where to find his next fishing hole.

My thoughts on the book:

He's a football player who's been injured and looking to get away from it all, the media the disappointment of not knowing what to do next and just finding himself. He ends up in Riversong Wa, with a prayer in his heart and relaxing on his brain. Salem just needs to hold it all together taking care of her grandmother and finding a way to provide for them both and starting a B & B. When her first client shows up it seems everything is going wrong and she starts to question if she is making the right choices for herself and her grandmother. If she can just survive this she know she can take whatever is thrown at her.
I really loved this book. I haven't read many with the main character being a football player. I was telling my husband about the book only to have to let him down that it was fiction and he wouldn't recognize the player :-). I totally got sucked in to the story and it was really just the sweetest love story. I was glad that the book wasn't to deep it was light hearted and with just enough drama it keeps your attention and keeps you turning the pages to see whats going on next. I am super excited to read more of Zai story. I love her and Salem's friendship it truly is the definition of what a true friend is all about. This book is a good clean fun read you really cant go wrong.

Winner Takes All Erin Kern

Description:
THE LOVE OF THE GAME

Money. Fame. Endorsements. Blake Carpenter had it all -- before his professional football career spiraled out of control. Determined to rebuild his life, he takes on coaching the high school team in his Colorado hometown. Despite a few fumbles, Blake knows he can lead these boys to victory. As long as he can keep his eyes on the prize and off the team's distractingly gorgeous physical therapist.

Annabelle Turner knows all about the scandal that cost Blake his NFL career, and she'll be damned if she's going to let his mistakes hurt her team. What she doesn't count on is the intense attraction that turns every heated run-in they have into a wildly erotic competition. Point by point, play by play, kiss by kiss, they try to keep things professional for the good of the team. But when the score is this close-and the passion this fierce-it's anybody's game . . .

My thoughts on the book:

Blake has some demons he's dealing with and has been dealing with. He has some secrets he would like to keep that way and he also would like nothing more then to continue his life as a conformed bachelor and just looking for the next quick fling. But he also needs to prove himself as a coach and he's good enough to continue to take a time to all state.
Annabelle is focused on healing from her failed marriage and building her cliental for her clinic. But first and foremost she wants to see the football players succeed and see her mom be able to heal and get back to some what a normal life. What she's always been good at is life and helping everyone else fix everything she just never been good at love. Will she be able to see that love may be better if she stopped fighting herself or will it be to late? Will Blake and her be able to come together to help the football players succeed or will they both fail at the job and fail at love?
What a fun love story. Who doesn't love football now a days. With school starting right around the corner and kids gearing up for those Friday night lights this book puts you in the mood for the underdog and the game. The chemistry between Blake and Annabelle was off the charts but seemed very natural and completely enjoyable. I loved her love for the players and always making sure they were just as important and her mom and her sister. There is some sexual innuendos through out the book, but the author kept the scenes behind close doors. The story is really worth the read and the fun characters just pop off every page.

Running back to you Suzanne Sweeney

What's the book about:
Juliette Fletcher is a girl with a plan. Not one to sit back and wait for life to happen, she moves back home after graduation and begins to carve out a life for herself.

Evan McGuire is desperate for a fresh start. His career in the NFL depends on it. Years of partying and carefree living have caught up with him. After buying a beach house in need of renovations, he begins to rebuild his life and his reputation.

What Evan doesn’t expect is a chance meeting with Juliette out on an early morning beach run with her dog. A strong mutual attraction draws them together, but fear of scaring her away keeps Evan from revealing his true identity. Evan finds himself in an unfamiliar situation – forced to work harder than he ever has before to prove himself worthy of her affections.
Tragic misunderstandings and unexpected obstacles threaten to derail a fragile relationship. Someone is watching, waiting, and tormenting Juliette, desperate to destroy everything. Can they find the strength to overcome jealousy, insecurity, and fear before it’s too late?

My thoughts on the book:
This book is not your typical Cinderella fairy tale by all means. This book has a lot of back on forth but also has a lot of "steamy" Parts. I have to say I had a hard time putting this book down I was anxious to see what was going to happen next. From the beginning to the very last page I can say there is not a dull moment. I will say this though so parts I felt where maybe a little to detailed but over all that did not take away from the story line or distant you from it either. I love the chemistry coming of the pages from each character in the book as well as the spark between the main characters. I goes to show love is not easy and you have to fight for it all the while trying not to loose site of the greater picture or yourself. If you are looking for a book with some actions, some sexy steam parts and some really great writing you really can not go wrong with this book.

Tight Spiral Michael J. Gill

What's the book about:
Four lives converge – and a legend is born...
Harry Smith had everything going for him: the first British quarterback in American college football, a star future, and a pretty Texan girl on his arm. But when 'Prince Harry' collides with fate in a near-fatal accident, everything unravels.
Paul Smith, Harry’s Granddad, has always been supportive. After all, it was his idea to bring Harry to Texas in the first place. But when Harry emerges from his coma with no interest in football, it’s up to Paul to bring him back to life.
Amy Carrington is a sports reporter in Leeds, England, who’d much rather report on life and fashion. But her boss has a brand new job for her: covering the rise of American football in Britain. This might just skyrocket her career – and change her life.
Ben Shannon is a millionaire with one unfulfilled dream – owning an NFL team. Thwarted at every turn, he changes tactics, founding the Leeds Cougars football team and transforming the face of British football.
Inspired by Lee Childs and Steve Berry, Tight Spiral is a fast-paced novel which combines sports fiction with romance and suspense.

My thoughts on the book:

Ok so I felt like the book was all over the place, over all the storyline was good,I loved that fact that its about sports but you still have a love story you are following. What I did not like about the book was that every two pages was a new chapter which to me seemed very distracting. I also felt at the beginning of the book it was all over the place and you had to keep trying to figure out what was going on as they author brought new people to the storyline very abruptly without some much as a flow to the other characters. However in the end they do end up winding back to one group. I would say that if you can over look the little things this would be a great quick read and a simple love story with a few twist. Beware author does use strong language throughout
