Needing a fresh start, she moves to St. Louis to be near her ailing mother and opens a private investigation firm with her friend and former FBI partner, Tony St. Clair. They're soon approached by a grieving mother who wants them to find out what happened to her teenaged son, who disappeared four years ago. River knows there's almost no hope the boy is still alive, but his mother needs closure, and River and Tony need a case, no matter how cold it might be.

But as they follow the boy's trail, which gets more complicated at every turn, they find themselves in the path of a murderer determined to punish anyone who gets in his way. As River and Tony race to stop him before he kills again, an even more dangerous threat emerges, stirring up the past that haunts River and plotting an end to her future.

My Review:
When I first stated reading this book the one word that immediately came to mind was sinister, then as I kept reading it was twisted and tragic. I can promise you if you start this book be prepared for a roller coster of thrills. This author takes you on a journey like non other from the view of the Killer to the way of the hero's. I felt like the author did a great job at catching the struggles of River and Tony and how with River's mom being sick and her fight to keep her mom safe to both River and Tony's struggle with being captured and hunted. I liked Tony he was the strong silent type but you could tell he balanced and kept River ground when it felt like her life was falling apart. Overall I can't say there was one thing I didn't like about this book and I can't wait for more from this Duo. It was well worth the read for sure.

The Sweetheart Fix Miranda Liasson

Description:
Juliet Montgomery absolutely loves her small town of Blossom Glen, Indiana, and everyone loves her. Except for the fact that she’s a couples counselor who suffered a very public breakup that no one can forget. And now her boss asks her to take a step back…which is exactly when the town’s good-lookin’ and unusually gruff mayor offers her an unexpected job.

Jack Monroe absolutely loves being the mayor of his small town. Except when he actually has to talk to people. Can’t he just fix the community problems in peace? Like right now, he’s mediating the silliest dispute two neighbors could possibly have. When the town sweetheart steps up and solves everyone’s problems in five minutes flat, Jack realizes what this town really needs…is a therapist.

Juliet is able to soothe anyone—other than the surly mayor, it seems. But there’s a reason they say opposites attract, because all of their verbal sparring leads to some serious attraction. Only, just like with fireworks, the view might appear beautiful—but she’s already had one public explosion that’s nearly ruined everything…how can she risk her heart again?

Each book in the Blossom Glen series is STANDALONE:
* The Sweetheart Deal
* The Sweetheart Fix

My Review:

I liked this story it was such a good story. This author defiantly took the bull by the horns and ran with it and she took on a subject that most authors don't seem to touch, mental health. I really like Juliet she may have struggled and living in a small town she where she was under the microscope but she was a fighter and always willing to continue to grow and learn and help those she comes across wanting what's best for everyone. Jack was a bit much some times, it's like he truly did not want to open up about anything,. I loved his grandma she was so sweet and full of so much wisdom. I really liked this group of friends and family, it goes along with blood doesn't make you family but we choose family. I can't wait to see where the author takes this group next. The author did keep this book fairly clean, so may be suitable for all readers. This book was a fun read and well worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
