Nearest Thing to Heaven by Lynnette Austin

Description:

THE COWBOY AND THE CITY GIRL

Sophie London hates Texas. The longhorns freak her out and the wide-open spaces are more unnerving than a Chicago alleyway at night. But Sophie wouldn't miss her cousin's wedding for the world-even if it means returning to Maverick Junction . . . and to the dangerously irresistible Ty Rawlins.

A single father of rambunctious triplet boys, Ty knows trouble when he sees it-and Sophie's got it written all over her. Yet he's never been able to stop thinking about her, even after their one brief meeting. Maybe fate is giving him a second chance. But if Ty wants Sophie to swap her stilettos for cowgirl boots, they'll each have to face the past-together.

My thoughts on the book:

Sophie London is a city girl through and through. She is heading to Texas for her cousins wedding and while it will be a nice break for the cold weather she's not a fan of Texas and doesn't plan to stick around. Once things start happening not just in Texas but back home she wonders if she's better off in Texas for a little longer then she thought. Ty has no intention of ever getting involved with anyone again. With his wife gone on a lie and he now has three small boys to take care of he has no one in sight for the future, but when everyone keeps shoving him and Sophie together he starts to wonder if he can have a short time relationship with her and still keep his heart in tact and her at arms length.
With both of them "running" from something in the past will they be able figure out and leave it in the past or will loose each other in all the pain?
What a beautiful love story, while it had some adventure it also was a fun story. I mean how could it not be with 3 four year olds and a little dog who's name is trouble. The story has a few minimal adult scenes, but other then that the story was a very clean love story. I really enjoyed the back and forth with the girls and the closeness with all of them even though with Sophie she just met its like they clicked and the friendship was truly genuine. While Sophie seemed to have some self confidence issues she shined. I really felt like as a reader you can connect to every character. Noah was annoying but the author did a good job and keeping it some what little to him and focus on TY and Sophie's lives. Seriously and I am having a hard time saying anything bad about this book. This book is so worth the read and I can't wait to read more from her. This book is so worth the read.
