Boone Emily March- Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas

 Description:

In Eternity Springs: The McBrides of TexasNew York Times bestselling author Emily March presents a brand new arc set in the Lone Star State that features a family-linked trilogy within the author's romantic series.

With his smooth talk, rugged good looks, and deep pockets, native Texan Boone McBride appears to be a man who has it all. Few people know about the heartbreak behind his decision to leave home, family, and career for the isolation of a small town in the Colorado Rockies. Luckily, time and life in Eternity Springs has worked its healing magic upon his wounded soul, so when he meets obviously troubled Hannah Dupree, Boone sees a chance to pay his good fortune forward. The last thing he anticipates is tumbling into love.

Tragedy has taken everything Hannah loves, and her will to keep going is failing. So when Boone strides into her life determined to save her, it’s easier to go along with him than to resist. Soon she is drawn into the fabric of life in Eternity Springs, and as her spirit begins to heal, her strength returns, and she’s able to go toe-to-toe with this hardheaded, big-hearted Texan. But just when love blooms and happiness is within their grasp, shadows from the past threaten. Hannah and Boone must stand strong and united in order to defeat old ghosts―if they are to create a brand-new life together.

My thoughts on the book:

The cousin's are back, I was so glad to be able to catch up with Tucker, Jackson and now Boone. I really love Celeste she's full of wisdom and guidance and does it in such a way that you don't know what hits you until she's done. I felt this book did deal with some tough subjects but in the end it was worth it. Nothing seems to be off limits with this author and I appreciate that because it makes the characters feel more like friends and less like fictional characters. Hannah has such a big heart and she is dealing with some things and looking for healing. I like that every time I read about Eternity Springs its seems like some one is looking for healing and Eternity Springs is just that place to find that healing. Boone did come off pushy sometimes but its really hard not to like him and see where his heart is. For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes of sexual content. Overall this book is really good and I could not put it down so worth the read. I can't wait to see who shows up in Eternity Springs next. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A Midwife for Sweetwater and A New Face in Town Susan Payne

 Description:

A Midwife for Sweetwater

Young Rebecca Johansen had just signed a contract making her Sweetwater, Kansas' midwife. Despite her misgivings she knew she would be useful to the growing town and a dependable source of medical care for the women and children living there.
Although she had never heard of such a generous salary nor the fact she had been hired and brought there by the future fathers of the town's children, she felt blessed to be chosen.  Now she was determined not to let those men or their families down.
Even though keeping a secret of her own, she felt she could more than fulfill her duties.  But will her passion and mutual desire for one man be more of a stumbling block than she ever could have conceived?

A New Face In Town

Frightened and alone, Victoria Watkins was fighting to make right what had suddenly become very, very wrong.  Once thinking she had her whole future set out for her, she finds herself in a strange town seeking work without any credentials or confidence.  After all, what could a poor girl raised in the tobacco fields of Tennessee offer a growing town like Sweetwater?
And what was she to do when Mason, the local sheriff, all but calls her a felon and danger to the town?  How could she explain her stupidity or expect any help from total strangers who didn't quite trust her either?
And the other feelings the she had to push aside only caused her more distress.  She had only been trying to find a family to belong to, a place to call home and a man to want her for herself. Would her desire for the man who held her in such contempt be her downfall?

My thoughts on the book:

A Midwife for Sweetwater- I liked this story more than I liked the first two books in book one. Daniel and Rebecca both had huge insecurities they needed to overcome to be who they strive to be. But both faced things that continue to make them wonder if Sweetwater was where they would find their happy ever after. I did like catching up with Abby. She was one of my favorites from the other book I read.

A New Face in Town- This story was just ok I felt like it was pretty predictable and not really my favorite out of the four stories I have read. I liked Mason and Matthew both have big hearts and will do anything to protect women woman who are being sold and traded. I liked Victoria she was nice but she almost seemed like she really had to try to hard to fit in to Sweetwater and it just didn't seem to fit from the other stories. In both stories there is sexual content which seems to be the majority of the book to be honest. over all the stories were ok just not for me. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This Cowboy of Mine R.C. Ryan- Wranglers of Wyoming #2

 Description:

New York Times bestselling author R.C. Ryan takes readers on a wild ride with a strong heroine who must trust the cowboy trying to save her life.

A cowboy with a wild side

Kirby Regan isn't opposed living on the edge. After all, she just quit her career in Washington, D.C., so she could move back to Wyoming and buy her family's ranch. But hiking the Tetons after dark during a snowstorm goes beyond being adventurous, especially when Kirby's boss warns her that an escaped convict is at large. Sheltering in a cave seems the safest option to ride out the blizzard-until Kirby realizes it's already occupied . . . by a ruggedly handsome cowboy.

Like the mustangs he treats, veterinarian and rancher Casey Merrick prefers to live wild and free, which is why a relationship is not in the cards for him. He doesn't mind sharing his space with a gorgeous stranger, as long as they can both keep their distance-a task that begins to seem impossible as the attraction between them heats up. But before they can worry about the spark smoldering between them, Casey must find a way to protect Kirby from nature's most ruthless conditions . . . and a convicted killer on the loose.

Includes the bonus novel Wildflower Ranch, a continuation of Daisies in the Canyon, by New York Times bestselling author Carolyn Brown!

My thoughts on the book:

I read the first book of the series and was happy when this one came out. I was glad to see the Merrick family back and I loved catch up with them. I really have high hopes that Liz will get her own story one day because just like in book one this book opens up to Liz a little more. I really liked Casey he knew what he wanted and he went after it with guns a blazing and nothing was going to stop him. He had a big heart for helping injured souls. Man Kirby was not what I expected she was a pistol as well. She is broken but comes back to Wyoming to find healing and hopes to find home again. There is some graphic details towards the end of this story, there is also sexual content in this book so may not be suitable for all. I really did enjoy reading this book over all and had a hard time putting it down wanting to find out what happened next. I really can't wait to see who grandma Meg is cooking up for Jonah.... I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Harrison Ranch and Macgregor's Mail Order Bride Susan Payne

  Description:

Harrison Ranch -
Callie St. Michaels, an orphan from New York, felt her only hope for the future was to leave her sous chef position in St Louis. Finding a job as cook for a group of ranch hands in Sweetwater, Kansas, seemed both prophetic and serendipitous. Everyone is happy with the outcome except for one man – Seth Harrison, the owner of the ranch and Callie's employer.
Seth isn't sure why, but he feels uncomfortable around the young woman his attorney hired as the ranch hands' cook. She hasn't said anything improper, or is unable to do the work required, or is off-putting in any manner. In fact, she is well liked by all the other employees. So why does he get so unsettled around her?

Macgregor Brother's Mail Order Bride -
Mac, the oldest of the Macgregor family finds himself in need of a wife. His younger brothers have graduated university and at thirty-three he feels it time to marry and raise his own children on his ranch outside Sweetwater, Kansas. Answering the ad from a mail-order-bride, he is prepared for anything the young widow brings to the table.
Mavis Miller is frightened of the large man meant to be her husband. Her friend, Emily Johnston, tries to help the couple find a balance. Although Mavis tries to meet the man half-way, she can't get over feeling their relationship is doomed. Especially when stronger desires pull her in another direction leaving Emily to tell Mac there won't be a wedding.
His response? "Somebody owes me a wife!"

My thoughts on the book:

There is two separate stories in this book.
The first one was ok. I loved Sully and Jamie they both had the biggest hearts and would do just about anything for anyone. I like Callie she was fierce and took chance and was super independent. I was not a fan of Seth he came off like a jerk and arrogant and he didn’t seem to truly care for Callie he just didn’t want anyone else to have her.
In book two I felt like there was too much going on and in the beginning and it was hard to figure out who was the person talking and who was what. This story was very predictable. You do follow four people, you have Jamie, Mac, Mavis and Emily. I did like Emily she was a pretty strong headed person and would do anything for those she loved and cared for. I felt like with Mac he was more of a "caveman" type guy and I seem to roll my eyes with him then anything. Jamie was fun but immature. Over all both stories were ok. Both stories did have sexual content in them so it may not be suitable for all readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

But when her husband offers to be a father, to give her the family she's always secretly desired, she and Riley will both have to face demons from their past—and choose love over fear at last.

“Loaded with charming characters [and] wit….will win the heart of any romance fan.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review) on A True Cowboy Christmas

My thoughts on the book:

I really was not a fan of this book, I felt like it dragged a lot. I liked Riley he was a pistol he was a stubborn mule and he was totally set in his way but even in the middle of everything he still could crack a joke. Rae was completely whiney, I also felt the reason for leaving took forever to "figure" out. I did like Hope and Abby they were amazing friends. I really felt like this book played off more as high schoolers then adults in their 30's. There is a Second story in the end which was super cute. I liked Conner in the first story so I was glad to be able to read his story.  I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Nanny Arrangement Rachel Harris

  Description:

Soft-spoken and shy Hannah Fisher is determined to make the man she’s loved her entire life finally see her as a woman. With the help of a makeover and the convenient forced proximity of a tour bus, she vows to win her best friend Deacon’s heart.

Former bad boy and current fiddle player Deacon Latrell has the world at his fingertips: a new gig with a famous band, plus his best friend on tour as his son’s nanny. Life couldn’t get much sweeter. Now if only he could stop imagining kissing the daylights out of his childhood BFF...

With one friend set on pushing the boundaries and the other afraid to rock the boat, one thing’s for certain—their story would make one heck of a country song.

Each book in the Country Blues series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.
Series Order:
Book #1: You’re Still the One
Book #2: The Nanny Arrangement

My thoughts on the book:

When I first started this book I really was not a fan I felt like the first few chapters read like a journal entry and came off a little to "wordy". However once Hannah and Deacon met up with the band the whole thing changed and it got good. I liked Hannah she was a sweet spirit so unsure of herself but ready to step out of her comfort zone and take on the world. Deacon was some one you wanted to love to hate, he has a broken spirit but he wanted to do what was best for his son and would stop at nothing to make that happen. I loved Arabelle and Sherry they are the best kind of cheerleaders a girl can ask for. I did not read book one but I will say I hope to find out what happens with the other band members. Over all this book was a really fun read and I can't wait for more. For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes and descriptions of sexual content. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My thoughts on the book:

I loved this book and could not put it down. The author has you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I really liked Victoria she was a fighter and was willing to seek the truth and do what was right. I really liked Aaron he was such a honorable person and would do anything for his family. The Blackwell Sisters

Book 1: Montana Welcome Melinda Curtis

Book 2: Montana Wishes by Amy Vastine

Book 3: Montana Dreams by Anna J. Stewart

Book 4: Montana Match by Carol Ross

Book 5: Montana Wedding by Cari Lynn Webb

My thoughts on the book:

With this book I kind of expected it to be wrapped up in a big fat red Christmas bow......but just like the other four books in the series it left me wanting so much more. I feel like in this book it was packed full of wisdom from the older characters through out Falcon Creek. I really felt like I could totally be friends with Georgie and Zach both have these big hearts who love unconditionally and will do anything for anyone. I really really liked this book a lot I like meddling Big E I love Grandma Dot and Pops. Overall I have really loved getting to know the Harrison and Blackwell families, They love deeply and will do anything for each other. These two series have been so fun to read and I am totally going to miss the brother and sisters and their families, I hope there will be more to come. Texas Christmas Baby by Katherine Garbera- Corbyn Sisters of Last Stand #2

Description:
They have more than one surprise in store this Christmas Eve...

But when her car breaks down outside Last Stand, Texas, she’s rescued by the most beautiful man she’s laid eyes on. He’s her knight in shining armor, and Zara is starting to believe in fairy tales.

J.T. Williams has a charmed life, or so he thought until his parents’ marriage deteriorated and exposed a half-sister, Amelia, in Last Stand. Intent to make up for his father’s shortcomings, he sets out to meet her but is derailed when he comes across a pregnant beauty stranded outside of town. And when he learns that Zara and Amelia are best friends, he impulsively decides to hide his identity to get to know both women without added pressure.

As Christmas nears, J.T. and Zara find themselves giving in to their feelings. But J.T.’s well-intentioned lie might cost him everything.

My thoughts on the book:

I liked Zara but I felt in some instances she talked out of the side of her mouth lots of double talk which made her kind of whiney and immature instead of the strong Independent women the author seem to be going for. J.T. he was someone I liked he faced alone in his life but always seem to put family first and at all cost would do anything for those he loved. This book does have sexual content and some strong language so may not be suitable for all. Over all this book was ok, defiantly reminds you what Christmas is really about. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

As she embraces him and his new family, she gives him hope that this Christmas could be different.

With their happiness hanging by a thread, Kelly hopes for a Christmas miracle, but Mick, who’s not as jaded as he thought, wants so much more.

My thoughts on the book:

Do not let the title fool you, I will say I thought I had it all figured out and this book was going to be so predictable, I was quite wrong. This book was a really cute story yes a tough subject to discuss when it involves children but so worth the read. I loved that Mick was willing to take up for his younger brother and loves his niece and nephew like his own children. I loved Kelly and her big heart and even though she skeptical she's is willing to give people a chance to prove her wrong or right why still doing the right thing. Over all this was a really good story I love reading or seeing Christmas through the eyes of a child it really does give you a different perspective. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Description:

Dr. Melody Mayberry’s life just took a turn that’s left her questioning everything. Where better to hide out than the remote family cabin in the mountains? The last thing she expects to find there is her swoon-worthy brother-in-law, the one man who may have more baggage than her.

Finn Matthews is not ready to face the fact that the recent injury he sustained in a fire may have ended his firefighting career. He’s not interested in sharing the cabin with anyone, let alone Melody, and their family just texted with yet another unwelcome surprise—they’ll be there Christmas Eve.

To keep their meddling family at bay, the two team up to fake a little holiday cheer. But between ridiculously competitive Monopoly games, marathon Christmas decorating, and a storm that strands them together with nothing but a fire and a warm couch, they realize something major—their fake holiday cheer isn’t feeling so fake anymore, and that’s something neither of these two Grinches expected...

My thoughts on the book:
I really liked this cute story. I liked Finn and Melody, even though they each faced something really hard they seemed stubborn enough to keep fighting to get through it. I really liked the sisters and there relationship. I have not read any of the other books in the series so some of it was confusing but it was easy to catch up. I so want to find out what happened with the other sisters in the books for sure. I really liked that over all the author kept the story a clean read and it was a super fun and quick read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The Cul-de-Sac War Melissa Ferguson

Description:
Melissa Ferguson's new novel proves that good fences make good neighbors--and that sometimes love and hate share a backyard.

Bree Leake doesn't want to be tied down. She's had more jobs than she can count--and the next stop on her journey is The Barter, the nation's oldest live performance theater in Abingdon, Virginia. But just when it's time to move on again, Bree's parents make her an offer; hold steady in Abingdon for one full year, and they will give her the one thing she's always wanted--her grandmother's house. Her dreams are coming true . . . until life at the theater throws her some curve balls.

And then there's her new neighbor. Chip McBride.

For the first time in her life, she's met the person who could match her free-spirited air--and it's driving her to the ledge of sanity. So begins Bree's obsessive new mission: to drive Chip out of the neighborhood--and fast.

Bree isn't the only one who's a wee bit competitive, and as Chip registers what Bree's up to, he's more than willing to fight fire with fire. But as their pranks escalate, the line between love and hate starts to blur.

In Melissa Ferguson's latest rom-com, two enemies find something they never expected in one another--taking "all's fair in love and war" to a hilarious and heartwarming new level.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was not for me at all. I had a hard time getting into it, honestly I don't feel like I ever got into it. It felt very chaotic and way too much going on, making it hard to keeping up. A cowgirl to her bones, she’s always solved her own problems, but when her ex—rodeo champ, Sam Wyatt—shows up offering more than a shoulder to cry on, Ivy’s tempted to grab the safety line he throws.

Sam Wyatt just wrapped his most successful year on the PRCA circuit. After long days and even longer nights, all he wants is a quiet holiday on his family's Paradise Valley ranch...until he sees Ivy again. He can tell she’s in trouble. They may have called it quits two years ago, but she's the one woman he regretted walking away from.

Sam will do anything to keep Ivy safe, including putting a ring on her finger and sharing his name with her this Christmas.

My thoughts on the book:

I am very much a cover person and I must say this cover is just sums up this book very much. I being able to catch up with the Wyatt Brothers and seeing how Joe and Sophie are doing so fun. I love small town books and this is very much that. I really liked how Ivy was a stubborn, independent, women but also showed a very vulnerable side of herself. In many relationships you loose yourself and for Ivy that was reality. Sam oh man he was a pistol it was fun to see him kind of love from a distance but all kind of make Ivy mad. This book was such a fun read and I liked how the author kept it a clean read. SO worth the read.  I received a complimentary copy of this book. Jay Wynter wants to be successful on his own merit. That's why he left Sapphire Springs and his family's winery to build a career from scratch. Leyna Milan knows family legacies come with strings attached, but she's determined to prove that she can run her family's restaurant. Of course, Leyna never expected that honoring her grandfather's wishes meant opening a second location on her ex's property-or having to ignore Jay's sexy grin and guard the heart he shattered years before. But as they work closely together, she begins to discover that maybe first loves deserve a second chance . . .

My thoughts on the book:

This story was cute, Leyna was fierce fighter for what and who she loved. She just was also a stubborn hard headed person as well she really was a fun character to. Jay was such a a broken spirit but why he didn't live in the pain the pain was very much part of his life. I did not like Cass, Mark or Danielle and I thought we all could be more like Stefan willing to love unconditionally. I loved Emily I so want to read her story and I hope she gets the man of her dreams. She was such a good friend. There is a little bit of a twist to this story which kind of keeps you wondering what was going to happen next. Over all this book was such sweet love story. Book 2: Montana Wishes by Amy Vastine

Book 3: Montana Dreams by Anna J. Stewart

Book 4: Montana Match by Carol Ross

Book 5: Montana Wedding by Cari Lynn Webb

My thoughts on the book:

So I have really enjoyed this series. I really did like this book and please know it was probably me but I can say it took a while for Fiona and Simon to grow on me. I found them both on the immature side and more concerned with what others thought instead of being there true authentic selfs. I did over all like Fiona she has a big heart and truly will help any one. I will be honest I am on edge to find out what happens next with finding Thomas Blackwell. I love that with each one of the sister's stories you get to know more about Rudy and Big E and what is going on with the search. I also like being able to catch up with the Blackwell brothers and their family. Over all this book was a really fun read and a clean read. I can not wait to read what happen next with the Blackwell's.

Thankfully in Love Anna J. Stewart, Kayla Perrin, Melinda Curtis, Cari Lynn Webb

 Description:

USA Today bestselling romance authors come together for Thanksgiving to tell the stories of four women who have not had the best experiences with the men they have dated in their pasts. With the help of family and loved ones this holiday season, can they learn to open their hearts one more time? If they can dare to make the leap, they could find themselves finally, thankfully in love…

There's no place like home, especially during Thanksgiving. After spending ten years as an officer and analyst with a special division in a federal cyber-investigation, Tripp Atsila is on the brink of burnout. He returns home and meets Parker Rutledge, who changed her name and moved to a small town hoping to leave the damage her ex-husband caused behind. Now someone's found her; someone who wants to make her pay for her ex-husband's crimes. Can she trust Tripp? Can she trust anyone?

Miranda Cox isn’t looking forward to heading home for Thanksgiving. She’d raved to everyone that Matthew was the one; now she has yet another failed relationship under her belt. Despite working as a translator in Ottawa, and loving traveling abroad, she’s thirty-four and still single. Little does she know that a chance encounter at Union Station in Toronto with her childhood friend, Taz Morrison, will lead to a very special holiday. Is it finally their time?

Chef Drew Barnett has been hired to create the perfect Thanksgiving for a potential restaurant investor and is forced to work in the client’s guesthouse kitchen due to a power outage in the main house. Jilted bride and food critic Claire Rothchild is pet-sitting a friend’s St. Bernard in the same guesthouse. Drew doesn’t know what to make of a food critic in his kitchen, just as Claire doesn’t know how to stop interfering with his dishes and passing tidbits to a mooching pooch. Is this a recipe for a Dog-Gone Holiday? Or for love?

Born with a degenerative eye disease, photographer Kelsey Thomas knows two things: she will be blind within five years and her family wants to see her married and settled first. Then Kelsey's boyfriend breaks up with her one week before she planned to introduce him to her family at her grandmother's island commitment ceremony. At the resort bar, she meets Dr. Noah Lawson. He spends his life inside his lab developing cutting-edge techniques to slow the progression of vision loss. He’s been offered funding with strings—save the eyesight of a relative of a wealthy investor—but he’s reluctant to agree. Noah is smitten by Kelsey—so much so that he agrees to be her fake wedding date for the Thanksgiving holidays. Too late, he realizes her connection to his potential investor. Is this a set-up? Or fate?

My thoughts on the book:
No Place Like Home- Anna J Stewart:
Sometimes coming home is all you need and I think Tripp found that out in this story. He was hard headed and burnt out but also ready to take on what was given. Parker is a fighter and also ready to take on what is handed to her. Over al this story was super cute a no a quick read

Second Chances- Kayla Perrin:
This story why it’s totally predictable it’s so cute. Remembering your first love and wondering what could have been. I liked Melanie she was your typical nosy sister but also wanted what was best for Miranda. Taz came off a bit intense but he seem to have a huge heart. Cute story over all!

Dog-Gone Holiday- Melinda Curtis:
I mean dogs can talk and we can hear right?!! I loved Olly he was so cut and so full of personality for sure. I liked Drew he kept sticking his foot in his mouth but he was always fun to laugh with. Claire just wanted what was busy for Olly and you could tell her love for him throughout the story. This story was a clean read and fun!

Love Guides the Way- Cari Lynn Webb:
Nothing good comes from keeping secrets and Kelsey's family seems to have a big one in this story. I liked Kelsey she faced life without her vision and she took the time she had left to enjoy life through the rest of her vision. I liked Noah he had a big heart and wanted to help everyone he could not matter what. I loved Gam she got her way not matter what a was a pistol if we all could be like her when we get older. Over all this story was super cute and a fun read.

I think the only thing I didn't like about all these stories where they were too short and I was left wanting so much more. Over all this was a fun story and I could not put it down so worth the read and will put you in the thankful spirit.
