Grace and The Rancher Mary Alford

Description:

Grace Bradford is living a lie. To the world she has the perfect life: A promising country music career and a husband who adores her. But her husband isn’t the man everyone believes him to be. When a car accident widows her and ends her career, Grace escapes to Delaney Mountain. But moving to the remote town doesn’t wipe away the ugly secret of her marriage.Kyle Delaney never intended to return to Delaney Mountain, but he promises his dying father that he’ll turn their land into a working cattle ranch. He uproots his life in Austin, sells his flourishing business as a music agent, and returns to the Colorado town of his childhood. Can a runaway singer and a makeshift rancher, thrust together by circumstance and held together by the common thread of loss and a love of music, find hope and a happily-ever-after under the stars of Delaney Mountain?

My thoughts on the book:
Grace is running from a past that she would rather leave in the past and move to hopefully a better future. She is now living in Colorado and it seems her ex sister in law has an option and has no problem making it crystal clear on where she stands. As the past starts to catch up with her will she be able to keep her biggest secret and move on to a future full of hope and love?
Kyle is home on Delaney mountain and he knows some are going to be happy to see him and others are just going to be down right upset about it. He has a past he would like to keep there but coming home to that past it seems he will have to face it.
When Grace crashes into his life he has a feeling he knows her and he knows what thing he wants to know her better. Will he be able to move forward and enjoy coming home or will he loose it all when he gets news he's not so happy about?
OH my gosh I really, really loved this book. At the beginning of the book it seems that it just might be predictable, but oh no this book is full of surprises and some twist and turns at every page. This book was hard to put down I just needed to know what happen next. I loved all the characters they just seems to add that special element to the story that makes the characters completely relatable. I so can  not wait to read more from Delaney Mountain and the fun characters. If you are looking  for a clean read that a quick fun read then this book is for you, you really can not go wrong.

Just when he's wondering how to convince her he only has eyes for her, they get stranded in a tiny cabin during a major blizzard. If Deke can melt her heart before they dig out of the snow, he'll be the luckiest cowboy in Texas . . .

My thoughts on the book:

Josie is now living with her brother and his new bride. She is ready to start drilling and start building a home in Dry Creek. When she sets off to Montana to look at buying some bulls and broncs things don't go as plan, but some of the greatest adventures start with plans gone wrong. When a storm moves in it appears that they are stuck together in a bunk house and on a ranch with a old man who quickly becomes a friend. Will they be able to get back home with there hearts in tact and there bulls or will the blizzard have other plans for them?

When I opened this book and started reading the first page I was super excited I because I have fallen in love with this series. I super enjoy the characters, they are fun and so what relatable. I really enjoy how much the author allows you to connect with the characters as if you are catching up with friends and not just reading about fictional characters. There is some adult scenes in this book so it may not be for all readers but for those who can should this book is amazing and hard to put down. I have super enjoyed this book and you will not be disappointed. While your at it grab the other books and catch up with this fun group I can't wait to read more.

God Bless the Broken Road Jennifer Dornbush

Description:
A novelization of the upcoming film from the director of God’s Not Dead, God Bless the Broken Road is a heartwarming story about a grieving army widow who finds her way back to her daughter, her faith, and a new love.

Amber Hill never imagined she would find herself a war widow and single mom. She feels robbed and is angry at God, and she doesn’t know how to help her nine-year-old daughter Bree through her grief. Where, Amber wonders, are the Sunday dinners, the picnics, the bike rides, the time together they should be enjoying as a family? Instead, Amber is left with a folded flag and an empty heart.

Cody Jackson has a death wish. Or at least that is what his manager thinks, as Cody pushes his race car and his luck in every race. Is he hiding something, or just daring God and other racers to end the path of destruction he finds himself on as he rounds the last turn? When Cody encourages Bree to join in a Derby car race for local youth, she finds a way to channel her grief into something good—and she likes that her mom and Cody are starting to become friends—or maybe something more.

Cody invites Amber and Bree to see him race, but as they watch Cody narrowly escape a devastating crash, she realizes she can’t lose another person in her life. It’s better to be alone than feel that type of grief again. But when Amber hits rock-bottom, she cries out to God and asks for help. With her faith, her life, her family, and her heart hanging in the balance, Amber is forced to decide between the broken road she knows so well and trusting that God will provide a new path.

Based on the Rascal Flatts song, God Bless the Broken Road is a moving, heart-stirring story about the power of faith to change a life.

My thoughts on the book:
Cody is sent to hicksville USA to train for next car race and this could make or break his career he just needs to show everyone in his racing world that he has what it takes. When Joe his trainer has other was of showing Cody whats important Cody starts to questions Joe's moves and whats he going to do next. When someone catches Cody's eye he wonders what is next in his time here in Clarksville.
Amber has is all a beautiful house, a beautiful daughter and a husband who is the love of her life and will be coming home any day now. When Ambers world comes crashing in around her she finds herself in a world of hurt and a battle of survival and faith. She starts to question her faith and her everyday walk and wonder what more could go wrong in her life she just needs a break. Will she be able to heal and still continue to raise her daughter and find happiness in it all or will she be so far sucked into her grief she can't find a way out?

This book is not your normal Romantic fiction book. This book deals with lost, love, heartbreak and finding healing in the greiving process while trying to make it through everyday life. I really did enjoy this book it seemed a little long sometimes but others times the book just flew by and I had a hard time putting it down wanting to know what happens next. I did not like Pattie I found her annoying, pretentious and a straight up know it all busy body. I loved how Bree was such an active role and the author didn't try and to make her perfect but made her relatable and allowed her grief to shine in the book as well. You will need to grab some tissue when you read this book there are so heart moments through out. This book was a really good read and well worth it. I can't wait to read more from this author. This is a good clean fiction book.

A Cowboy's Dare Lucy Thompson (Harding Family Book 2)

Description:
Tyrone woke up with a headache—and a wife. And he’s never been so scared in his life.
Mayor’s daughter Jane Montgomery has always wanted to be more than a social ornament, and now that her father has given her a three-month deadline to find a suitable husband, she’s desperate. Desperate enough to run away from her pampered life of ribbons and bows to pursue her dream of becoming a mechanical engineer.
But right before her planned escape, she’s the victim of a matchmaking prank involving spiked punch and a certain local rancher.

Ever since he failed to stop his mother from going mad, Tyrone Harding — local daredevil rancher who runs hunting expeditions under the banner of “Female-Free Adventures” — has shied away from females, feelings, and anything inhibiting his freedom. Wanting to avoid his family’s questions and his own feelings for Jane, he proposes they fake being in love until she leaves for college, thereby freeing them both.

Their playacting doesn’t fool Tyrone’s brother who challenges him to prove he truly loves Jane. Never one to back down, he accepts the dare: do something loving for her every day — and to record it in a special Cowboy’s Dare book.

The dare has unexpected consequences, and as the sparks fly between them, Tyrone and Jane begin to wonder if they’ll lose more than they gain when Jane departs for school.

My thoughts on the book:
Tyrone is not happy with the situation he seems to have found himself in. He can't remember how it happened but he's madder then a horse on a rampage at his sister and now he has a wife, a stubborn wife to deal with, one he is she he doesn't want but seems to have not choose in the matter. Jane is a little surprised to say the least and she is not happy about it either. She is married to a man who despises her and she missed her train to take her to a place of where dreams are made. All they need to do it pretend for one week that they love each other then she can catch the next train out of her to school. She is sick of everyone and living up to there standards and just not being good enough. Will she and Tyrone be able to make it the week of proving to his family that they are in love or will some ones heart be lost in the matter?
Ok I am not a huge fan of historical fiction I find them drab, however with this book I truly could not get enough I loved the story, I loved the characters and I just loved the sassiness of all the women in the book they each held there own. I hope there will be more to come of Danny's story I am sure she will be a pistol for sure. I loved that in this book the base of the storyline was forgiveness and how its not always easy to get there. I truly had a hard time putting this book down I needed to know what was going to happen next. I have never read anything by this author before this but I can not wait to read more. If you are looking for a good clean, and fun read seriously consider grabbing this book you will not regret it.

The Christmas Secret Wanda E. Brunstetter

Description:

Bestselling author Wanda E. Brunstetter delivers a poignant historical story of a couple on the threshold of marriage who are suddenly pulled apart. Elizabeth Canning discovers an awful secret in her deceased mother’s diary. Believing her chances for a happy marriage are spoiled, she leaves her fiancé a letter and flees town. Anticipating a Christmas Eve wedding with Elizabeth, David Stinner is confused by her letter and desperate to find her. Can David root out the truth about the past and bring back his bride? Or is the truth destined to bring an ultimate end to their romance?

My thoughts on the book:

Elizabeth is beyond excited to marry the love of her life David. When she sets out to clean the homestead her grandparents built and her parents lived in and now she and David will live, she excited to keep the place that holds something dear to her. She however discovers something that could change everything about her life and her future but could also put shame on her family and Davids. So off she goes to figure out what is next. David tries to figure out what caused Elizabeth to run and he needs to get to the truth before he looses everything that means the world to him.
What a sweet love story. This book was short and sweet and a fun read. Its set in the 1800's but it feels like it very well could be set in any era. The characters were easy to connect with and easy to follow. The storyline was fun and such a great read. I highly recommend this book, totally worth the read.

The Montana Bride Jeannie Watt

Description:
She’s not running anymore…

After a decade away, Jacie Rose has returned with her daughter to Cherry Lake to renovate a historic hotel…and to lay some ghosts to rest. She knows she’ll have to confront mistakes she made in the past, but she didn’t expect to be living right next door to the guy she once asked to be her husband.

When Brett Jackson was approached ten years ago by Jacie Rose with the wild scheme of marrying her to help her out of a jam, his white knight instincts kicked in and he agreed to be her emergency groom. Determined to provide the secure home life for her daughter that she never had, Jacie is not about to bring a man into her life—even one that she sometimes thinks should have been there all along. But Brett and Jacie soon discover the spark between them is even stronger than before… Now that their paths have crossed again, will they lead them back to the wedding that almost was?

Previously titled "The Secret Bride" - Book 5 in the Secrets of Cherry Lake series

The Marvells of Montana
Book 1: The Montana Bride
Book 2: The Christmas Secret

My thoughts on the book:
Jacie is done running and is back to help make the Montreau hotel whole again. She also knows its time to answer some questions and put Brett behind her and make a life for her daughter. She just has one person she is not happy about coming face to face with and wonders if he will be able to destroy everything she has worked hard for. She also starts to wonder if the life she created is good enough to continue living or is it time for a change. Brett is back in Cherry lake and loves being a farmer even though its hay and not cherry and his family is not happy with his choice of profession. He can not believe Jacie the long ago crush he had in high school is back in town. He wants answers and wonders if he will get them or if they will send Jacie on the run again.
This book is short and sweet, does have some adult language in it. The book seems to tie some of the stuff from other books all together in this one even though they all seem to be written at the same time. The story and the chemistry is fun and simple while popping in places. I have to say though towards the end of the book it really seemed to rush the story along and was a bit abrupt. Over all not to bad of a story.

Snow Job Kelly Fitzpatrick

Description:

Natalie Duncan is caught off guard and on the road over the Christmas holiday by a blinding snowstorm. In an act of desperation, she picks up a hitchhiker along the mountain pass. When night closes in and the storm worsens, they take refuge in an abandoned cabin to wait out the blizzard.

Russ Crew is instantly attracted to Natalie, but the gold band on her finger stops him from pursuing her.
Natalie, a widow, is also drawn to him except the difference in their ages convinces her that he’s a nice guy simply being polite. Due in part to their desperate situation they form an emotional bond that soon turns physical. But once the snow melts, can they make a relationship work in the world outside their ramshackle cabin?

My thoughts on the book:

Natalie is on her way to do a favor for her brother. When she gets stuck in a blizzard and decides to help a hitch hiker who looks like he just broke down. She never does this and is wondering what she was doing and what would happen next. Russ is on his way to his next home and his next job in hopes to start his life anew. However it seemed that everything is against him. When he gets stuck in a blizzard his only hope is the car coming his way. When Natalie and he come along a cabin they seem to stuck and have to find ways to stay warm and stay out of the cold and boy does he have some ways. Will he be able to get through to Natalie and her heart or at the end will it all become to an end?
I was not a fan of this book. I did appreciate how for the most part the author tried to keep the language clean, that being said there are some adult scenes through out the book. I felt like there really wasn't much of a heart to this story I also felt like it seem to repeat its self a lot. This story was not for me however if you want to give it a chance its a fairly quick read.
