Every Beat Mary Alford- Covert Justice book #1

Description:
Hannah Sandoval woke up from a two week coma with more than a murdered CIA agent’s heart. Vivid dreams haunt her of Kate’s life and death, including the memories of the man Kate loved, Agent Jase McCoy. But nothing prepared Hannah for meeting the flesh and blood man of her dreams.

As Kate’s memories continue to haunt her with more terrifying details, soon Hannah finds herself embroiled in the same web of lies that cost Kate her life. The only person who can protect her now, is Jase. The only problem is, Jase presents his own very dangerous distraction that might cost Hannah more than her heart.

My thoughts on the book:

Jase has some big regret and now the biggest one of all is to late to take care off. He needs to make things right for Kate he needs to find out who killed her like it was his last breath. It seems someone else has other plans can he get to the bottom of it all before it's to late?
Hannah has spent her life sick when she wakes up from a coma two weeks in the hospital and a new heart she's having these dreams that continue to haunt her and she knows the person that gave it to her was murdered, but when she starts to dig deeper into who the donor was her life becomes at risk. Will she be able to find out who's after her and who killed Kate or will it all come to a crashing halt?

Oh my gosh I loved this book it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I could not put it down. This book had twist and turns with every page and sucks you in so you want to know what happens next. This book is a good clean book and it was super fun read. The book seemed predictable at times and then all of a sudden the author those a wrench into the mix and has you on another thinking path and another journey till something new happens. Keeps you guess till the end you can't go wrong with this book.

Back in the Saddle Ruth Logan Herne Double S ranch series #1

Description:
The Prodigal Is Coming Home

It’s been a long time since Colt Stafford shrugged off his cowboy legacy for shiny Manhattan loafers and a promising career on Wall Street. But when stock market manipulations leave him financially strapped, the oldest son of legendary rancher Sam Stafford decides to return to the sprawling Double S ranch in Gray’s Glen, Washington. He’s broke, but not broken, and it’s time to check in with his ailing father, and get his legs back under him by climbing into the saddle again.

He doesn’t expect to come home to a stranger pointing a loaded gun at his chest— a tough yet beautiful woman that Sam hired as the house manager. Colt senses there’s more to Angelina Morales than meets the eye and he’s determined to find out what she’s hiding...and why.

Colt’s return brings new challenges. Younger brother Nick has been Sam’s right-hand man at the ranch for years and isn’t thrilled at having Colt insert himself into Double S affairs. And the ranch’s contentious relationship with the citizens of Gray’s Glen asks all the Stafford men to examine their hearts about what it truly means to be a neighbor.  And as Wall Street recovers, will Colt succumb to the call of the financial district’s wealth and power—or finally the courage to stay in the saddle for good?

My thoughts on the book:
Colt's life seems to be falling apart and he goes home and to the last place he ever thought he would go home to. His dad is sick and it seems his brother needs help he never expected to come home to having a women running the ranch but will he be able to help his family and get back to NYC or will more secrets keep him on the ranch? Angelina is running the ranch and helping Sam out getting him healing. However she has some secrets that she needs to make some decisions on. She is also now faced with dealing with Sam's oldest when it seems that all is lost she starting to question her choices and weather or not she belongs at the ranch any more. Can she make the best choices for her family?
I LOVED this book. I super enjoyed the fun characters and the banter and the personalities of the young kids they seem to add a whole new element to the story itself. I totally enjoyed the small home feel of the book and how the past can seem to be everywhere good and bad but finding healing in it all seemed to be the key of this story. I really enjoyed the overall story nothing I didn't like. I enjoyed the fact that I got sucked in and couldn't put it down. This book is a clean romance and well worth the read.

You'll Think of Me Robin Lee Hatcher

Description:

Her mother abandoned her, her father disowned her, and her husband left her. Can Brooklyn be convinced that it is possible to forgive the greatest of betrayals?

Brooklyn Myers escaped her broken home and her embittered, unloving father by eloping to Reno at the age of 17. But when she was pregnant with their first child, her husband abandoned her as well. Not welcome back home in Thunder Creek, Brooklyn stayed in Reno and raised her daughter Alycia on her own, doing her best to make sure Alycia never knew the heartache and rejection Brooklyn herself had known.

When her estranged husband Chad Hallston dies, he leaves the family home in Thunder Creek to his daughter. Believing it is the best way to give her daughter a stable home, Brooklyn does what she thought she would never do. She goes home to the orchard and wine country of Southwest Idaho. There, she encounters Chad’s best friend, Derek Johnson, a part time sheriff's deputy who also owns an organic produce farm next door. Derek was never a fan of former bad girl Brooklyn Myers, but he made a promise to his dying friend that he would be the father to Alycia that Chad had never been.

Although Derek and Brooklyn get off to a bumpy start, he and Alycia quickly form a bond. And soon, Derek realizes that he wants Brooklyn to trust him too . . . even knowing that her trust won’t come easily. And then he realizes he wants even more than her trust. He wants to win her love.

While Brooklyn may be tempted to give her heart to Derek, risking her daughter’s happiness is another story. Will Brooklyn hold onto her self-reliance for dear life, or will she come to understand that the greatest gift she can give her daughter is showing her how to love and trust others?

My thoughts on the book:

Brooklyn's the girl that never fit in and always wanted more, more friends more family more love. When she finds herself heading back to her home town she wonders if this is the right choice. Will she ever learn to trust men or will they continue to let her down? Derek was promised something from his best friend but it seems his friend had other promises he would have Derek keep in his death. Derek has his own thoughts and feelings of Brooklyn but when she shows up in town he is torn he knows he needs to help her because thats the way he was raised but he also wants to avoid her for his own reasons as well. Will he be able to continue to focus on his farm and his job and keep as far away or will he keep Chad's promise?

I Loved this book. I loved the fun characters of this story and how enjoyable and relatable they were. I also enjoyed the small town life how everyone knows everyone and will help no matter what and will always welcome newcomers. I also loved how the story flowed and it draws you in and keeps you going through out. I will say that I did find two parts very predictable but still very enjoyable. I loved how the author used real tough situations in the story that really got to you and got you thinking. This book is amazing and so worth the read and could not put it down.

Moving Target Lynette Eason Elite Guardians series Book 3

Description:
When Maddy McKay and Quinn Holcombe don't show up for Quinn's surprise birthday party, his friends know that something is very wrong. Their search turns up little beyond evidence that Quinn and Maddy just decided to take off for a long overdue vacation. But it soon becomes apparent that they did not leave of their own accord.

Fast, furious, and flirty, Lynette Eason's relentless suspense barely gives her readers time to catch their breath in this third thrilling installment of the Elite Guardians series.

My thoughts on the book:

Maddy is an ex FBI agent and she was good at her job, however things happened and it seem to blow up in her face and now she is a body guard of her own company. She is happy with what she doing and is glad to have her friend Quinn back on his feet, however it seems that someone is after them and now they need to find out why and who. Quinn has a few secrets he plans to keep close to his heart and he does have a way of keeping people at bay. But when he pushed his friend away a little to hard he knows he needs to apologize. However when someone seems to be after him and Maddy he is not more concerned about staying alive and keeping those close to them safe.
Oh. My. Gosh the author knock it out of the park with this book and did not disappoint one bit. The book was completely high impact and not one slow moment from page one to the last page has you on the edge of your seat. You find yourself sucked in and you just can't put the book down. I have really enjoyed this series completely and this book was no different and it will not disappoint. Grab this series because you don't want to miss anything.

Somebody's Baby Donna Alward- Darling VT #3

Description:
Veterinarian Rory Gallagher chose a different path from his brothers, both of whom became first responders in the lovely little town of Darling, Vermont. Rory's always had an affinity for animals--and the ladies. Known for his impressive track record in breaking hearts, Rory never meant to hurt anyone; he's just never been in a hurry to settle down. It's not as if he needs to pay a visit to the town's famed Kissing Bridge to magically find love. He'll know The One when he sees her. . .right?

Oaklee Collier is the kid sister of Rory's best friend--and, even now that she's all grown up, remains immune to the pet-doctor's charms. When she shows up at Rory's clinic late one night--devastated after hitting a stray dog with her car--Rory's so-called "bedroom eyes" are the last thing on her mind. Still, his care and kindness toward the dog, and his concern for her feelings, catches Oaklee by surprise. . .and soon the two (and rescued dog makes three!) begin to share a deep connection that neither could have ever imagined. Could it be that love has been waiting for them by the bridge all along?

My thoughts on the book:

Oaklee is home now for two years from college she loves the town she lives in and she loves her job, but it seems that all there is any more is baby showers and weddings. She knows love is real but she has just about had it with relationships. Rory is home and is the local vet and he loves what he does he has sworn off love but it seems to every where around him. When his best friends little sister comes  to him about an injured dog they seem to want to work together to help this homeless dog. He likes things neat and tidy and everything planned out perfectly, she doesn't mind a little clutter in her life and she will grab life by the horns but will the secrets they have hold them back from the one thing they both want to bad?
I so enjoyed this book you will be guaranteed to laugh, cry and laugh some more. The struggle between the two characters in their past makes the storyline that much more fun. I really enjoyed that the author through a dog who was rambunctious and had its own personality that added to the story and added so much fun to the story as well. I loved how the small town of Darling had such fun characters but also has away of showing what life is about, family, friends and coming together when all is needed. I loved how the story draws you in and you find yourself truly not wanting to put the book down for any reason, it truly seemed like a quick read. I had not read the other books in the series it was not hard to catch on what was going on, however it make you want to go back and read the others to see what fun they had. Grab this book you won't regret it.

Beyond Justice Cara Putman

Description:
Hayden McCarthy is on track to become the youngest partner in her prestigious D.C. law firm . . . if the case she's just been handed doesn't destroy her first.
Hayden McCarthy knows firsthand the pain when justice is not served. It's why she became an attorney and why she's so driven in her career. When she's assigned a wrongful death case against the government, she isn't sure if it's the lucky break she needs to secure a partnership—or an attempt to make sure she never gets there.
Further complicating matters is Andrew, her roommate’s distractingly attractive cousin. But Andrew’s father is a Congressman, and Hayden's currently taking on the government. Could the timing be any worse?
The longer she keeps the case active, the higher the stakes become. Unknown enemies seem determined to kill the case—or her. Logic and self-preservation would indicate she should close the case. But how can she, when justice is still just beyond her reach?

My thoughts on the book:

Hayden is known for winning unwinnable cases. She takes pride in everything she does and has not problem fighting through the hardest to get to the truth. When she is handed a case she feels like something is missing and everyone seems to be hiding something. Will she be able to get to the end of it and get her client the justices she deserves. Andrew has a lot going on in his life his dad his is ties to politics and the secret he's keeping from his parents and well the world. But when he gets his cousins help to bring awareness to a cause close to his heart but he has caught the eye of her roommate and the both seem to be working to a goal yet neither seems to be able to get to the bottom of it. Can the come together and help the other or will it be better to keep things the way they are?
I really liked how the book started off it draws you in and you want to know whats going to happen next. However it seems the story was all over the places sometime and left me super confused  on why the back and forth and I had a hard time following the storyline sometimes. It would have a really big high(something happening) and then it would have a low(lots of explaining that seems to be a little to much). I did like that toward the half end of the book it picked up and stayed steady throughout and you found yourself sucked back in wanting to know what the author was going to through in next. It overall was a good book but patience is a must.

Final Verdict Jessica R. Patch

Description:
FATAL JUSTICE
When Aurora Daniels becomes the target of someone seeking their own twisted justice, Sheriff Beckett Marsh is the only one who can rescue her. As a public defender, Aurora has angered plenty of people in town—and in her past. And while Beckett constantly clashes with the feisty lawyer professionally, it's his duty to protect and serve. Guarding her 24/7 is now his sole assignment. He may not have been able to save his fiancée from a dangerous felon, but he'll do whatever it takes to keep Aurora alive. Even if working with her to catch and convict this ruthless killer puts his heart in the crosshairs.

My thoughts on the book:

Aurora has relocated to the town of Hope and she is not making any friends thats for sure. But when she wins a case that is very public it seems someone has it out for her and will stop of nothing to stop her in her tracks. Beckett is the Sheriff in the small town of Hope, TN and he protects everyone including those he would rather not. When the local Defense attorney seems to have a target on her back he is forced to protect her 24/7 but can he stop who ever is after her before its to late.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I loved this book Jessica has an amazing way of capturing the readers attention and not letting go. I really had a hard time putting this book down to go to bed I needed to know what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the characters in this book and I really enjoyed how even thought the book was intense at parts the author had a way of putting in a light hearted moment then just where it needs to be. I loved how this book is a good clean romance but more important a suspense book that keeps you on your toes just when you think you have it figured out she those a huge curve ball and I found my self saying Ok I did not see that coming. Seriously grab this book and sit back for a fun time a head.
