Loving Ellie Lindsey Brookes

What's the book about:
Ellie Sanders is pregnant and alone. Carrying a child she’d conceived the one and only time she’d lain with her closest friend, Jarrett Tanner. A man she’d agreed to marry for the sake of their child. A man she’d loved, but not as he’d deserved. And now he was gone.

Lucas Tanner returns home to settle his younger brother Jarrett’s estate only to discover his brother left behind a very pregnant fiancĂ©e. Having lost his own wife and their baby she’d been carrying years before, he’s bound and determined to stick around and make sure Ellie’s child makes it safely into the world. Even if it means facing the ghosts of his past.

Struggling financially and emotionally, Ellie is torn between keeping her baby and giving it up for adoption. She wants to give her child the chance she never had - to be raised by two loving parents. If only she could make Lucas understand. And, if only she wasn’t falling for a man with no heart left to give.

Lucas finds himself wanting more. Wanting Ellie. But what if he gives in to his deepening feelings and loses her, too?

One fears abandonment. The other fears loss. Can Ellie and Lucas put their painful pasts behind them and finally find true happiness? Or are the emotional walls they’ve built up around their hearts too strong to tear down?

My thoughts on the book:
Why love is not always what is seen in movies and can be hard a tough this story is about that. Love, feeling alone and empty. But why two people fight the past and try to control the future they never know what's barriered deep in there souls they might discover. This love story is sweet and painful all at once has you cheering for the winner's and cry that it won't end. There is two love stories going on one I hope the author will continue to tell. I would recommend this book for anyone no fowl language just a wholesome love story i hope you enjoy.

Tight Spiral Michael J. Gill

What's the book about:
Four lives converge – and a legend is born...
Harry Smith had everything going for him: the first British quarterback in American college football, a star future, and a pretty Texan girl on his arm. But when 'Prince Harry' collides with fate in a near-fatal accident, everything unravels.
Paul Smith, Harry’s Granddad, has always been supportive. After all, it was his idea to bring Harry to Texas in the first place. But when Harry emerges from his coma with no interest in football, it’s up to Paul to bring him back to life.
Amy Carrington is a sports reporter in Leeds, England, who’d much rather report on life and fashion. But her boss has a brand new job for her: covering the rise of American football in Britain. This might just skyrocket her career – and change her life.
Ben Shannon is a millionaire with one unfulfilled dream – owning an NFL team. Thwarted at every turn, he changes tactics, founding the Leeds Cougars football team and transforming the face of British football.
Inspired by Lee Childs and Steve Berry, Tight Spiral is a fast-paced novel which combines sports fiction with romance and suspense.

My thoughts on the book:

Ok so I felt like the book was all over the place, over all the storyline was good,I loved that fact that its about sports but you still have a love story you are following. What I did not like about the book was that every two pages was a new chapter which to me seemed very distracting. I also felt at the beginning of the book it was all over the place and you had to keep trying to figure out what was going on as they author brought new people to the storyline very abruptly without some much as a flow to the other characters. However in the end they do end up winding back to one group. I would say that if you can over look the little things this would be a great quick read and a simple love story with a few twist. Beware author does use strong language throughout

My thoughts on the book:
I really liked this book. Yes there is some sex in this book but over all its a book I had stayed up until wee hours of the morning to finish. The story and the chemistry between Tristan and Mandy is amazing. I cant believe how much they went through and the raw emotion that came off the pages. I have never read anything by Evie and I can honestly say I cant wait to read more by her. She has an amazing way of story telling. You really cant go wrong with this book at all.

Maggie's Miracle Karen Kingsbury

What's the book about:
Megan Wright spent one unforgettable summer week with a boy when they were both teens. And despite a lifetime of heartache and bad choices, she has never let go of his magical definition of love, even if she has trouble believing in it. After college Megan settled for a relationship of convenience. Now she's a high powered attorney and, after the death of her husband two years ago, has been looking for help with her lonely young son.

Across town, Casey Cummins is still dealing with the tragic loss of his wife. His search for meaning and hope leads him to contact the Manhattan Children's Organization, who connects him with a fatherless child. Life suddenly takes a series of unusual twists, and soon Megan will learn that the teenage boy from all those years ago actually kept his promise, and the miracle she prayed for as a girl is only a breath away.

My thoughts on the book:
This book was not what I expected at all. When I saw the red glove series on Karen's website I thought the series was more geared towards young teens, so I really never thought to read this. So once I picked up the book I had a hard time putting the book down the book is about a young boy who doesn't quite feel loved and wants a Daddy. The story at first really broke my heart, but the more I read the book did not disappoint at all, Karen does an amazing job at getting right to the point and to the matter of the heart. Unlike most of Karen's book this one was very short read, I read it very quickly and so enjoyable. All i say is grab some tissues and your favorite drink and find a quite place this book will be worth the read.

At Bluebonnet Lake Amanda Cabot

What's the book about:
Marketing maven Kate Sherwood's world is fast-paced, challenging, and always changing. The last thing she wants to do is slow down to a crawl at Rainbow's End, a dilapidated resort in the Texas Hill Country. But she cannot deny her ailing grandmother's request to visit the place where she and her deceased husband spent one glorious week (albeit fifty years ago). There Kate meets Greg Vange, the resort's handyman. But there's more to Greg than meets the eye--billions more, in fact, as he recently sold his successful software company and is at the resort in search of what's next for his life.

Kate isn't looking for romance, but she can't deny the sparks of attraction that fly every time she and Greg are together. She even starts to see potential in the rundown resort. Could there be a future there? Or will Kate's long-sought promotion take her back to the big city?

Amanda Cabot invites readers to step away from the pressures of the daily grind. They might be surprised by what they find at Rainbow's End.

My thoughts on the book:
I have to say I just love this book. I had a hard time putting it down. Its really not your traditional love story there are 4 main characters and each story was told amazingly.I just Love Sally and Roys story and I found a friend in Carmen and well almost on the characters. With out giving to much a way this is a story you will want to read so you can no what happens. I have never read anything by this author and now can't wait to read more. I can honestly say there is not one thing about this book I did not like.

Dare to kiss S.B. Alexander

What's the book about:
Besides her family, Lacey Robinson’s only other love is baseball. She’s on top of the world when Arizona State University approaches her to discuss a scholarship. To be the first girl ever to grace a college boys’ team is beyond what she has ever dreamed. Her fastball is impeccable, her curveball equally as good, and her slider annihilates anyone who dares to step in the batter’s box. But fate has its own way of throwing curveballs.

When she looses her mother and sister to a home invasion, baseball and her dreams die with them. Tragedy has a way of seeping deep into her psyche, causing nightmares, panic attacks and blackouts. Diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, her psychiatrist recommends a change of scenery and picking up the things that she loved to do, and for Lacey that is baseball.

After a move clear across the country, only two things matter to Lacey—overcome her PTSD and make Kensington High’s baseball team. However, she never counted on meeting someone who wants her as badly as Kade Maxwell. The tall, sexy and drool-worthy bad boy has a magical touch that awakens her feminine side, and a kiss that slowly erases her nightmares. But getting involved with him may be dangerous when Kade’s nemesis returns to town to settle a vendetta. To complicate matters, her PTSD has taken a turn for the worse. She has to find a way to heal otherwise she may not have a chance at anything in life, especially love.

My thoughts on the book:

I would say this book is geared towards reads from the age range 18-25. I am just out of the range I did enjoy it. The story line was well written and I had a hard time putting the book down. I think with the book geared towards teens still in high school the only problem I had was the sex underlay in the book. I feel that could have been left out and the story line still would have been amazing. This is a fun book keeps you on the edge of your seat at some points and is worth the read if you are looking for a down to earth fun loving group of kids who have been forced to group up a little to fast by facing adult situations.
