Merry and Bright Debbie Macomber

Description:
Christmas is the season of the heart, and #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber is here to warm yours with a delightful holiday novel of first impressions and second chances.

Merry Knight is pretty busy these days. She’s taking care of her family, baking cookies, decorating for the holidays, and hoping to stay out of the crosshairs of her stressed and by-the-book boss at the consulting firm where she temps. Her own social life is the last thing she has in mind, much less a man. Without her knowledge, Merry’s well-meaning mom and brother create an online dating profile for her—minus her photo—and the matches start rolling in. Initially, Merry is incredulous, but she reluctantly decides to give it a whirl.

Soon Merry finds herself chatting with a charming stranger, a man with similar interests and an unmistakably kind soul. Their online exchanges become the brightest part of her day. But meeting face-to-face is altogether different, and her special friend is the last person Merry expects—or desires. Still, sometimes hearts can see what our eyes cannot. In this satisfying seasonal tale, unanticipated love is only a click away.

My thoughts on the book:
Merry is on a temp job and she's always there or thats what her mom and brother point out. They want her to start dating so they come up with a plan to help her find a man. Jayson finds out some one close to him is getting married and he wonders what all the hype is about. He starts to wonder if work it everything and if he needs to start to looking for his forever women. Can they both come out of this with there hearts still in tact?
Ok I have to admit I have never read anything by Ms. Macomber I have how ever seen a handful of her work on Hallmark. I will now be reading her work she's so amazing and I just loved this book. The book is 270 pages but it seemed so much smaller it was such a quick read. From the beginning to the end the book did not lack at all. While some parts were predictable but once realize that and just read the story the whole thing is amazing. I loved how this was a clean read. There really nothing about this book I didn't like. It totally puts you in the mood for Christmas. This books is a must read for this coming holiday for sure.

Grace and the Cowboy Amity Grays

Description:

Grace Wade, business diploma in hand, is back home to pay a debt. Unfortunately, this means also having to deal with the demons from her past, particularly one handsome devil who has always taken great pleasure in watching her fail.

Tried and true cowboy Mac Palmer has waited four long years to set the record straight. He was neither responsible for his brother’s betrayal of Grace nor for the dissolution of their engagement. There's just one complication, the headstrong woman is as unwilling to admit the facts today as she was back then.

A flirt, a dare, and a stubborn cowboy—Grace should have known Mac would never back down, but why does she care? Could it be she’s actually falling for the impossible man…again?

My thoughts on the book:

Grace is back to pay a debt to her grandfather and if she could survive the next two year is will be a miracle. Can she get through this and help her granddad or will she be on the run again? Mac has her back on the ranch but he's not sure what to do with her she is madder then a bull with a bee sting. Can he convince her what he did was for her own good or will the past just be to much for the both of them to find healing?
I have never read anything my Ms. Grays and that is going to change I think i just found a fun read and a fun author. I really loved this book. It has so fun, so healing lots of friendships and lots of sass. I really enjoyed the small feel of this book but the big feel of the book to. I really enjoyed how the author just seem to let the words flow and it made it easy to follow it truly draws you into the story and does not leave you disappointed at all. I really loved all the characters and the feistiness of Grace grandparents if only we could all be blessed with them. This book has some and its a small amount of adult talk but the author didn't dwell much which made it refreshing. Seriously grab this fun read you will not regret it.

But Grady and her heart don't agree and she must decide if she should stick to the safety of the plan or find the courage to pursue what she really wants

My thoughts on the book:

Brigid has always followed the rules, always trying to get to the next junction in life. She has the pressure of her family to be the next biggest better thing and its starting to seem like its never going to be enough but she knows she needs to keep trying to get there at all cost. Grady has the pressure to reconnect with someone in his past and he would rather leave that person there, the way the left him. He's is helping build his dad's business and finally getting to a point he want it all in life. He just now needs to convince Brigid that there is more to there relationship than just sex. Can he get past her defenses or will he just walk away with another broken heart?
I really want to like this book. I did I enjoy the storyline and how the value of friendship was so important in this book. I really enjoyed how the author made characters very vulnerable and more real. I did not like how self absorb and snobby all of the characters came across, while I know that was probably what the author was going for it became annoying at how relevant it became in the book. There is strong language through out this book as well as adult scenes which may not be suitable for all readers. Overall I give this book 3.5/5 it was a fun and quick read!

My thoughts on the book:
Regan has one thing that is more important then life its self. When that one thing goes missing she will stop at nothing to get her back and it that means helping the bad guys she will come up with something as long as it keeps her daughter safe. Colby has seen loss and he is sick of it he will stop at nothing to help save it sister, but when some other people has plans it seems it will stop at nothing to help a women save her daughter but at what cost.

This is a first book for me from Mrs. Redwood and I don't know why, I will say this will not be my last thats for sure. This book had me on the edge of my seat there were moments of telling a story and there were moments of sitting on the edge of your seat moments. I could not put this book down and it was so worth every minute. I loved how this was a clean read and that even in the darkest moments for the characters they looked for God for the peace they needed. Seriously you can not go wrong with this amazing book.

Along Came a Ranger Debra Holt Texas Lawmen #3

Description:

No cowboys allowed. That is Stacy Smith’s motto. Having overcome a rough childhood, she vows to not repeat the same mistakes that her mother made. Writing bestselling romance novels as Sabrina Noelle, she is happy to stay in her ivory tower, creating perfect worlds for her heroes and heroines that keep her busy and her heart whole.

Texas Ranger Davis McKenna handles crisis situations on a regular basis. But when he is stranded in a hotel elevator with a gorgeous woman on the verge of panic, he soon realizes that there’s more at play than just his protective instincts.

Take one determined Texas Ranger and one equally stubborn romance author and there is bound to be a showdown at high noon where desires and hearts are concerned. Can Stacy risk opening her heart to the man who represents everything she never wanted?

My thoughts on the book:

Stacy is a writer first and foremost and then she is a women, well at least in her mind thats how it works. While on yet another engagement Stacy run into someone she would rather have nothing to do wth because of what he stands for but she can't seem to get him out of her head. Davis can't shake the feeling that he needs to know her like his last breath and fate seems to have other options or does it. Can they find away to get to know each other or will the past just be to much?
I have been reading this series from the beginning and I have really enjoyed all the books so far, this one would have to be my least favorite though. I loved the fun characters and the small town feel found in this book. I really enjoyed the passion and mystery the author wrote into this story it really made the book hard to put down. I however felt the story lacking, the author started off with both main characters aspects just a little but did not carry that through out the whole book. The story does have adult scenes in it but it truly is every aspect of the story. The book and the series is so worth the read and I can't wait to read more from these characters.

The Cowboy's Renegade Bride Laurie LeClair The McCall Brothers #2

Description:

Jenny Wentworth returns in disgrace to her hometown of Honor, TX. After being left high and dry at the altar, she's done with men. However, there's nothing more precious to her than being a loving mother and creating the family she's always longed to have. But she needs help in the baby making department..

Sheriff Caleb McCall longs to save his family’s ranch and legacy. His beloved Gramps nearly lost it all, so he and his brothers are doing everything in their power to bring it back to life again. Hard work and dedication aren't enough. Unexpectedly, help comes from his buddy's sister Jenny, who he refused to get involved with all those years ago.

When Jenny reunites with her brother’s best friend, she can’t ignore her growing feelings for the honorable Sheriff McCall. Are his kisses real or just a temporary distraction for his ongoing fight for the McCall Ranch? Can she risk her battered heart one more time to find out the answer?

My thoughts on the book:

Jenny is home for now, it seems she's is going to have to come face to face with a few people she would like to keep in the past and some faces she has missed. When she left the last wedding she thought that would be the one but it seems the universe has other options for her. Could three times be a charm or will she have to go about having a family the unconventional way?
Caleb is home and ready to stay put down the roots and maybe one day have a family he wants but with out all the craziness can he have that or is it not in the cards. When Jenny comes home they seem to get thrown together to much and he sees he needs to avoid her, but when she needs his help with something it seems almost to much. Can he help Jenny and her family and keep his heart in tact?

What a fun book. I have read book out of Marietta Montana by this publisher and I feel like Honor Texas is the southern Marietta. I love these characters and this town and the fun characters. I love how the other pieced this book together and it flowed just drawing you in. This book does contain some adult innuendos however its a fairly clean book and super worth the read. I don't know think I could say anything negative this book was super amazing and I can't wait to read more from Honor.

He also soon finds himself falling for this passionate and earnest young lawyer.

Determined not to make the same mistakes, he's intent on keeping Kate safe, but as the case deepens, it appears someone is willing to risk everything--even murder--to keep the case from going to trial.

My thoughts on the book:

Kate is faced with a series of law suit against one company and she wants to do what's right for her clients at all cost. She hires a private investigator to help her find some answers to questions that were left open when something happens to what she hoped would have been a key witness. Landon wants nothing more then to help Kate find answers, but the biggest thing is can he keep her safe and face his demons of the past?
Where do I even begin to start with this amazing book. This story had you on the edge of your seat with suspense and moments of holding your breath. Rachel has a way of drawing you into the book and making you feel like you are right there in the middle of the action. I had a love/hate relationship with a few of the characters but other then the two primary characters Nicole had to be one of my favorites. I can't wait to read more of what I hope is all of there characters. I feel like I just gained some new friends with this book. If you like authors like Dani Pettrey, Terri Blackstock or Dee Henderson with a whole interesting twist with legal aspect then seriously grab any of Rachel's book you can't go wrong.
