The Runaway Montana Bride Joan Kilby

Description:

She promised she’d go anywhere...

When lifestyle “it” girl Lilou Langdon dumps her wealthy, snobby fiancĂ© days before their highly-promoted society wedding, she can’t get out of Manhattan fast enough. Desperate to escape, she begs her magazine editor for the first assignment out of town. With her designer luggage and pup in a purse, Lilou—who specializes in covering luxury resorts and glamorous travel destinations—arrives in Montana for a six day trek into the wilderness.

Adventure tour owner Garrett Starr was expecting an experienced, off-grid journalist to cover his wilderness trek. Instead he gets Lilou, a city-slicker ‘princess’ who doesn’t know a crampon from a crouton. Worst of all, she brings along her lion-haired Pomeranian, Simba. Garrett dreamed that the article would boost his business to the next level, yet Lilou appears to be his worst nightmare.

But Lilou didn’t make a name for herself by giving up, and soon both she and Garrett realize they’re in for more than they bargained for.

My thoughts on the book:

I really enjoy this book, it was so hard to put down. I really felt like I was catching up with friends, I only read one other book in this series and I am so ready to go back and read the whole series. I felt like I was right there in the story, the author did a good job at catching the readers attention and drawing you in and describing everything down to a "T" with out being too wordy. I really liked Garrett he had no idea what he was getting into but he was ready for the adventure and was a good sport about it. I really liked Lilou at first I wasn't so much sure about her I thought oh my a snobby princess but boy was I wrong, she's sassy and she is independent ready to take on the world. This book was totally worth the read and you can't go wrong. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

Paradise Cove Jenny Holiday

Description:

Dr. Nora Walsh has just been dumped in spectacular fashion, making it the perfect time for a major life change. She figures taking over the medical practice in tiny Matchmaker Bay for a couple of years will help her get over her broken heart, and then she can head back to the big city. But when the first man she sees looks like a superhero god, she wonders if maybe there's something to small-town living after all.
Jake Ramsey also has a broken heart -- one he never expects to heal. He doesn't need people anyway and is content hiding out in his secluded cottage on the beach. But after helping Nora with a medical emergency, he finds himself opening up to the witty, warmhearted doctor. Soon the local matchmakers are working overtime to pair them off, and Jake begins to wonder if his campaign to get Nora to stay is for the town or because he can't bear the thought of her leaving.

My thoughts on the book:

I mean who doesn't like a life reset after a terrible break up, thats exactly what Nora was doing with moving even if it was only temporary. I liked Nora she was feisty, independent and ready to take on the town of Moonflower bay. I really like Dr. Walsh SR I could see what a pistol she was and where Nora and her sister got it. I had a love hate relationship with Jake, I like him sometime and the stuff he faced was very deep and I could relate, but then he would do something and he came off as annoying and I was ready to just punch him. Oh my Kerri even her part was small but oh my the author had a way of Kerri getting right into your heart as well. I loved the closeness of the community and the friends and how they would do just about anything for each other. I did feel like there were a few parts of the book that did drag which was hard but over all the story was good and a twist on a love story. There is sex in this story so may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

A Cowboy for Keeps Laura Drake

Description:

From a "fabulous new voice in romantic fiction" (NYT bestselling author Lael Miller): an arrogant cowboy meets a headstrong woman determined to take custody of his niece, only to realize that she may be the family he was always searching for.

There's not much that could rattle a cowboy like Reese St. James. But when his twin brother dies in a car accident, Reese is stunned to discover he has a six-month old niece, Sawyer. Wanting to make up for lost time, Reese heads down to Unforgiven, New Mexico, to bring her home. He doesn't plan on Sawyer's guardian giving him any trouble, but the intriguing, independent woman is turning out to be more than he bargained for.

Lorelei West had given up hope of having a family of her own until her sister's tragic death brought little Sawyer into her life. And now there's no way she's going to let Reese take her away. Lorelei knows hotshot, good-looking cowboys like him -- she's dated enough of them -- and she intends to stand her ground. Yet the more time Reese and Lorelei spend together, the harder it is to deny the attraction building between them. But opening their hearts to a baby is one thing -- can they also open their hearts to the possibility of a happily-ever-after?

My thoughts on the book:

Let me start off that in the end this book really turned out way better then I expected and I end up liking it in the end for sure. Now that being said this book is told in a first person point of view. The author did include both characters so that was a plus that most authors who write FPV don't do. I however felt that in the beginning of the book both Reese and Lorelei came off as very whinny which at first came as a turn off, but hang in there it gets better. The storyline was really good and I did feel it go to the heart for sure. There is adult situations in this book so it may not be suitable for all. I did read the first books two of this series so it was nice catching up with Austin, Carly, Nevada and Fish, I still have to say Nevada is one of my favorite characters thus far in this series but in this book Carly took a very close second, they both are friends every girl needs in there life someone who will always have your back no matter what. Yall over all I would totally re-read this book it was worth it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

He can't imagine spending another season without Emma by his side. Can he convince her to give their love a second chance before the summer draws to a close?

Includes the bonus novella A Fairytale Bride!

My thoughts on the book:

I really enjoy this author so I was excited to get this book and sit down and read it.  I really feel like this book was about healing and forgiveness and finding your true self. I really liked Emma she wanted to have it all together but she still wanted to please people as well so she really was looking to find herself. She really had her heart broken in the past and turning 30 has her really thinking and making hard decisions. Jack was easy to fall in love with. I liked how the author didn't try and make the characters perfect. I liked reading again about Dawanda and her cappuccino readings you truly never know what's going to come out of her mouth next. There were so many fun sub characters that I want to know more about and read their stories. I love how the story draws you in and keeps you going to the end. There is adult talk but over all this book was totally worth the read and you can't go wrong.  I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

Her Second Chance Cowboy Makenna Lee

After his mother died in childbirth, and witnessing his father’s destruction at the loss of true love, James sticks to casual affairs. Marriage and children are risks he won’t take.

Reese Turner visits Cypress Creek, Texas, to complete a photo assignment for National Geographic and buy back her grandparents’ cottage. When she runs into an old flame, she decides she can live out a fantasy, then leave town to pursue her dreams.

But love doesn’t play by the rules...

My thoughts on the book:

This is a new author for me. When I first start this book I will say I was not thrilled. I felt like every book I seem to be reading, however I hung in there and that changed for me really quick and I really start to enjoy it and be drawn into the story. I really like Reese she's got a good head on her should she speaks her mind but she leads with her big heart on her sleeve. I liked James I felt like he had some growing up to do but he needs the right person in his life to help direct him in that path. The two together were just seemed natural relationship didn't seem forced. I adored James' grandparents they just seem to be what grandparents are made of. They really added a huge element to the story but played such a small part if that makes sense. I so want to read more about Finn from the get go I felt like I need to know more of his story. This book does have adult situations and language. Overall I would totally re-read this book again it was just that good. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

The Goodbye Guy Natasha Moore

Description:
Rachel Bradford is finally living her dream as the star of her own interior design show. But ratings are slipping, and if she wants to save the show, she has to set an episode in the hometown she fled. Worst of all, she’s going to have to work with the cocky bad boy who humiliated her.

Single dad, Beckett Colburn plans to turn an old fire station into a neighborhood bar. He’s blindsided when he discovers his family made a deal to turn his dream into a reality TV project. He’d rather run into a burning building than work with his childhood nemesis--on camera.

But it’s not easy with a TV crew in town stirring up trouble, spreading rumors, creating buzz. Not to mention the inconvenient sudden attraction that sparks every time Rachel and Beckett fight.

My thoughts on the book:
I have never read anything by this author, so this is a new series for me. I don't know what I missed but the others where brought up in this book. I can honestly say I was not really a huge fan of this book it just wasn't for me. I found the book completely predictable not a whole lot of what's going to happen next. I like Holly she was a spit fire and did add a whole other element to the story, she was one of my favorite characters in the book. I also liked Davis he seem to be one of the few in the story that had his head on his shoulders and was a good friend to Beckett. I did not like Beckett I found him for a 40 year old very immature and whiny, I guess for me I felt like if you have a child at some point you should have grown up. Rachel was ok she too seem to have problems with her past but she didn't come off as immature. Overall I really wasn't a fan of this book. There is adult language and content may not be suitable for all. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

A fearless pilot…

Small plane pilot Rachel Quinlan is fearless fighting forest fires, but on the home front it’s a different story. She’s still not completely over her crush on Cole Hudson, love of her older sister Missy’s life, even though he left town over a decade ago. But who has time for crushes? She’s got Missy’s kids to raise and her family’s failing business to run.

The past collides with the present…

An accident brings Hot Shot firefighter Cole back to town where he discovers he’s got responsibilities and enemies he never knew he had. And the one person he thought he could trust – Rachel – is hiding more than one secret about his past.

A traditional, clean romance with no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

My thoughts on the book:

I have really enjoyed this series. With each book it seems the author throws in a different twist with the same fire group and that was very much the same with this set of characters,  and I love that each person so far in group has had their story told. I love catching up with the other characters in books past and discovering new characters. My heart truly broke for Rachel she had the world on her shoulders and would stop at nothing for her family. I really liked Jenna and Matt their personality was strong and came off the pages. I hope there is more to come and can’t wait to see who’s next in this fun journey. The author kept a the book a clean read but the characters are faced with some tough topics. This book is so worth the read I could not put it down

With zero talent or skill in the kitchen—why baking pies is part of the pageant is beyond her—she’s off to a pathetic start. When her high school sweetheart, up and coming chef, Stratton Shay returns to town for the grand event, she reluctantly allows him to help her in the kitchen, but they might be cooking up more than pies for the competition. Until they discover they both want the same thing. And for one of them to win, the other will have to lose.

My thoughts on the book:

What a cute story! I love the characters they are fun and the author has a way as you read about them making you feel like they are your friends and you are just catching up. I loved Zayda’s fighting spirit nothing was going to stop her from her dream of making a better life for her little family. I loved how she kept her head high even with some poor choices she made. I like Stratton even though sometimes I want to punch him and tell him to spit it out. Oh my Crockett he and Scout I know he did her wrong but I hope they work things out they just seem like they belong together. This book is a good clean read and suitable for all. Super quick read and it was well worth it.

And as romance blossoms between Holly and Jed, the story of Jed’s great-grandfather highlights the power of God across the generations and the legacy of a family’s courageous faith.

My thoughts on the book:

I have always really enjoyed reading this authors book, however I have not read anything in this series and when I started the book it wasn't what I expected at first. It got good thou really good right away. I really thought oh great a story about a rich kid but that was so far from that. This story is about family, faith, forgiveness and finding yourself. I loved Holly, and Willow they have this strong independent to them and they fight for themselves and those they love. I really like Jed and how his journey to make things right with his brother also was a whole different journey all on its own. I loved the story of Andrew and Helen. This book will make you laugh and cry, I liked that this was a good clean read and I like that the how the story draws you in and keeps you going till the end not wanting to put it down. I would totally recommend this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

Summoned to Angel Point for her sister's bridal shower, U.S. Marshal Dakota James's plan is to make sure her sister doesn't make the same mistake their parents did. But her quick in-and-out mission gets derailed when Taylor won't listen and instead tries to introduce Dakota to every member of the single male population in Angel Point. One former marine in particular sets off life-changing fireworks that tempt her to reconsider her single status.

He wants to be more than friends...

Beckett Leland came to Angel Point to check on his cousin's widow and young boys and found a quiet, out-of-the-way town where he and his retired military dog, Tucker, could peacefully make the transition to civilian life. What he doesn't count on is running into a fiery, passionate woman who doesn’t believe that love and happy endings are possible. But he wants more than friendship from the marshal who has taken his heart into custody.

Can he convince her that true love is real and their happiness waits just around the corner?

My thoughts on the book:

This author is new to me and I am not disappointed at all. I love small town romances and this book was spot on. Yes the book was predictable, but hang in there it was totally worth it. I loved everything about this book. I loved how Dakota was strong, independent and stubborn, but she met her match with both Beckett and her sister Taylor. Taylor killed me I did not read her story but she's a pistol and has no problem telling people how its going to be. I really liked Claud and Betty oh my what a sweet couple. If you are looking a good clean read with a story that will get to your heart this is the story for you. I so enjoyed this fun read and can't wait for more from the town of Angel Point. I received an advance copy from the publisher. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Award-winning author Patricia Bradley introduces you to a new series set in the sultry South that will have you wiping your brow and looking over your shoulder.

My thoughts on the book:

This is a new author for me and this book was pretty good. I felt like in the beginning the author had almost too much going on. I felt like it was hard to figure out what was what but as the story progressed it did become easier to figure out who was who and what was happening. I liked that the book was suspense but I also felt like because there where so many players it made it really easy to figure out what and who did it, I really wish the author would have left a little mystery for the reader. That being said I really liked Luke and Brooke. Brooke has a heart of gold and would doing anything for anyone and would help them regardless she was a fighter and super stubborn and independent which made her good at her job. Luke a man of many mysteries he also has a good side to him while trying to do that right thing in the world. I did like out the author kept the book a clean read and she did discuss some very tough subject but did it in away to bring awareness. This book was a good read overall  I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
