“Filled with passion, suspense, and strong characters.”—Rendezvous with Romance on My Favorite Cowboy (5 stars)

My thoughts on the book:

I will say this book did not disappoint at all but the book is super intense as it does deal with Domestic Violence and has you on the edge of your seat almost the whole book. I had a hard time putting this book down. You know who the bad guy is from the beginning but the author keeps you guessing on what is going to happen next and where the story is headed. The author did not sugar coat anything in this story. There is strong language and sex throughout the book so may not be suitable for all readers. This book was really good and completely worth the read. I also loved the "family" aspect of this story and how Danny surround himself with some great people who were not only friends but family and when Danny tried to withdrawal into himself they would set up and draw him back to the flock. Seriously this book will not let you down. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Baby Stetson Nikki Lynn Barrett- Love and Music in Texas #1

Description:
In small Texas towns, strangers come and go...

Left in a Stetson hat on the steps of the local bed and breakfast, Avery Callimer came into the world on a wing and a prayer. Raised by loving adoptive parents, she's never lacked for love ... only the knowledge of her past.
By day she works at the inn, but by night ... Avery comes alive as the lead singer in a band. Life was good ... stable, until new guests blew into town.

Some strangers come with secrets and lies.

Lucas Bennett is one such stranger. Drifting from one mess to another has left him jaded. Doesn't matter the dramas are never his doing. Giving it one last shot to make a fresh start lands him Harmony's Echo, Texas and smack dab in front of the tantalizing Avery.

Every time they're near each other, things heat up like a brushfire on a dry Texas prairie.
He's intent to keep his distance, but finds it difficult to ignore the burn Avery's ignited within. Secrets have followed him. Secrets he doesn't want Avery to know.

Maybe, after the dust settles and the smoke clears, love can bloom with a fresh start.

My thoughts on the book:

Hands down Jameson was one of my favorites in this book. I liked how the author kept things with him and Avery, no matter what they faced their friendship was first and foremost. The twist the author through in I saw something coming but that caught me out of left field. I liked Lucas and I liked how he had his own Demons he was facing. What I loved about this book was that the author didn’t make one single character “perfect”, yet they all seemed perfect for each other and the trials they faced together. This book does have some sex and cursing so may not be suitable for all. Hands down this author did not disappoint in this book at all. I can’t wait to read Jameson’s story next

Ethan’s determined to resist Pen and her girls. He’s got too many secrets and scars to be any good for them, but as a Christmas in Last Stand works its magic, Ethan begins to find out just how tenacious Pen is and how lonely his heart has been.

My thoughts on the book:

I really like this book I read the first in the series and the author has away of getting you right in the heart. I really love how the author take a group of really imperfect people and doesn't try and change them but tries to heal them. I also enjoyed in this story how the author had the 3 girls personality really shine off the pages they were just as equally fun to read about. My heart broke for Addie she was so small but dealt with some very adult emotions. I could not put this book down I really wanted to see how the story was playing out. There is one sex scene not completely in detail but you get the point. Over all this book is a super fun read and so will sum up what Christmas and family is really about, so worth the read.

But when a real estate developer sets his sights on the Elliott land, Lucky will have to decide if the money means security for his family, or if he'll fight for Sleigh Bell with Rachel by his side.

My thoughts on the book:

What there perfect book to put you into the Christmas spirit. It has a noisy family and small town ready to help neighbors and hot cowboy and cowgirl I mean what more does it need. This book really was a fun read, the author has you laughing and crying all at once. I enjoyed coming back and reading about Marrietta. This book does have sex in it but it does not have any foul language. I really enjoyed how not matter what Patrick and Lucky were close like brothers and they seemed like two peas in a pod. I lived Rachel and Cloe for the same they were like sister and always willing to do anything for each other. OH and I loved Bill I think we all have a Bill in our lives for sure. If you are looking for a fun book this one will not disappoint.

The Bake Shop Amy Clipston

Description:

Return to Lancaster County with the first installment of Amy Clipston's charming new Amish Marketplace series.

Christiana Kurtz loves to bake, but when her bake stand becomes too busy, her mother encourages her to move her business to the local market. Her new bake shop becomes so inundated with customers that the line blocks the leather and woodcraft shop next door, which is run by Jeffrey Stoltzfus. When Jeffrey complains that her stand is driving away business due to the lines, she complains to him that his personalization machine smells. Though their relationship starts off on bad footing, they eventually forge a friendship.

When Christiana’s father makes a surprise visit to the market, he is upset to find that Jeffrey uses the building’s electricity to personalize his items. He tells Christiana that Jeffrey is too modern for her, and she’s forbidden from dating him. Christiana is crushed, but she knows she must obey her father.

When Jeffrey’s shop catches fire one day, he puts the entire market in jeopardy—including Christiana’s bake shop. Christiana, however, can’t deny how she feels about Jeffrey despite his mistakes. Though the odds are against them, can two young people find a way to rebuild both their businesses and their relationship?

My thoughts on the book:

I have read Amy's book in the past so I was excited to get a chance to read this one. I liked Christiana and the relationship she had with her sister and her cousins they were fun to read about and the close relationship was more like a bunch of sisters instead of cousins. I also enjoyed the relationship with Jeff and Nick, Nick was that annoying little brother you just have to love no matter what. When the information comes out about Christiana's dat it broke my heart and made everything makes sense. I did feel like it was pretty predictable but over all a really fun read. This book is suitable for all ages and is a good clean read if you love amish reads or a good love story this book is totally worth the read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Nobody Else But You Claire Marti- Pacific Vista Ranch #1

Description:

A smoking hot stuntman. A fiery horse breeder. And a 220-acre ranch too small for both of them.

She’s avoided Hollywood for years…

When an arrogant Hollywood stuntman struts into Samantha McNeill’s breeding barn, sparks fly. She doesn’t care how mouthwateringly gorgeous he is, not when he assumes Pacific Vista Ranch’s resident horse breeding manager must be a man. Not to mention his job threatens to pull her family back into the paparazzi filled world they escaped from over a decade ago.

Now it’s at her door––wearing faded jeans and a wicked grin.

Holt Ericsson can tell the beautiful redhead hates him on sight and the feeling is becoming mutual. But he will call in a favor and convince Sam’s legendary director father that Pacific Vista Ranch is the only suitable place left in California to film an epic Western. Holt’s invested all his savings in the movie and his entire career is riding on it. No way will he allow one irritating, sexy woman to stand in his way.

Sam intends to fight him at every turn…if only her heart didn’t race when they’re together. Holt does his best to steer clear of her…except all he wants to do is hold her close. The sizzling attraction between them is either going to burn up the sheets or burn down the ranch…

My thoughts on the book:

This was a fun read for me, growing up in California I can totally picture the horrible Santa Anna winds to a T. My heart broke for this family the emotions and what they faced just jumped off the pages. Sam was so feisty  and she reminded me of one of those sour patch kids sour then sweet you never knew what you were going to get but you know where you stood with her for sure. Holt's childhood was no cake walk either but neither acted like a victim. Even though the author wrote about some rich people all the characters seemed completely relatable and fun. This book does have some curse words and sex so may not be suitable for all readers. Overall this book was super fun read I had a hard time putting it down and well worth the read.I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Sergeant's Christmas Siege Megan Crane- An Alaska Force #3

Description:

Danger lurks in the wilds of Grizzly Harbor this Christmas but it's love that has Alaska Force in the cross-hairs, from the USA Today bestselling author of Sniper's Pride.

When straight-arrow, by-the-rules Alaskan State Trooper Kate Holiday is sent to investigate a local band of secretive commandos in remote Grizzly Harbor over the holidays, her least favorite time of year, her objective is clear: disband Alaska Force and arrest them. But Kate didn't count on the diabolical temptation of Templeton Cross. The former Army Ranger exudes charm and has absolutely no respect for the rules of law that govern Kate's life - too bad he also makes her mouth water and her knees weak.

Templeton has always been good at keeping his game face on and his emotions hidden, especially in combat. But working with Kate brings back memories of losses he prefers to keep locked up tight. As the pressure mounts - and Christmas draws closer - it’s a given that someone's going to get hurt.

Trouble is, the more time he spends convincing his careful, wary trooper that there’s more to the holidays than her memories, the more he wants to keep her around. Forever.

But forever is the one thing a man like Templeton can't do. Not even at Christmas.

My thoughts on the book:

This book was so good I have not read any of the other books in the series but can only imagine the adventures that those books offered if it was anything like this one. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and it was a complete page turner. At first I found Templeton's personality completely off setting to the point it was annoying, but they more I read the more he grew on me. If it could described Kate's childhood in one word it would be twisted. OMG its like ripped from the headlines crazy. This book does have two sex scenes in it but no curse words. Overall I really enjoyed reading this book totally worth the read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
