Hollywood Holidays D.D. Scott

What's the book about:
Socialite Harper Cantwell wants more out of life than being Briar Creek, Tennessee’s philanthropic queen. Her husband Grant is a financial stud, but he’s also an emotional dud. Tired of being nothing more than his glorified event planner, she leaves him. Hoping to find herself in the creative excitement and sizzle of the holidays in Hollywood, she meets Jake Benton. One of Tinsel Town’s ultimate players, Jake doesn’t waste any time letting her know he’s interested—very interested. In spite of Jake’s hot advances, it’s Grant she can’t forget. But sacrificing herself for any man is no longer part of her party plan.

Ultra-conservative businessman Grant Cantwell III doesn’t completely understand why Harper left. He misses her terribly but is clueless how to get her back. He gets a real wake-up call when Harper’s best, gay friends tell him he’s an idiot for losing her. Under the tutelage of their company Chick Tricks Inc., Grant is soon on their fast track program, “How to Please a Woman.” But Grant needs more than just a few tricks. He must learn to open his heart instead of his wallet, before Madison gives up on him forever and runs into the open arms of Hollywood’s premier gigolo.

My thoughts on the book:
I have read some of D.D. Scotts books in the past so when I saw the chance to read this one I knew I had to jump at it. I can say this is not some much like her other books. I noticed in the books I had read in the past the books start off strong and stay that way all the way through. With this one it took me a little bit to get into it, but I could see right away it was a different book from the others I read. Now that being said I had a hard time putting this book down I so wanted to keep reading it just to see what happened. Ms. Scott does a good job keeping you in the book and this one was very much like that as well. This book was a sweet love story about 2 people who have lost them self but have began searching to find each other as well as there inner selves again. As it takes them 1000's of miles from each other will it be to late to reconnect or will they go to extreme measures to make it happen? That is the question this books starts off with so if you want a fun read and want to know how it ends get this book and find a quiet place to read cause once you start you will not want to stop.

Her Fake Romanace Donna Fasano

What's the book about:
"Mom, get a life!"  Her teenage daughter's words were daunting. True, struggling single mom Julia Jones hadn't had a date in over a decade, but she could still catch a man-if she needed to! So Julia, who claimed not to want a husband, found herself entangled in a fake romance.   Ryan Shane was tall, dark, and devastatingly handsome. And he just so happened to need a no-strings date himself. Their plan was perfectly thought out. Until a conveniently staged good-night kiss turned into very inconvenient passion...
This book contains bonus material that includes several delicious recipes!
My thoughts on the book:
whats this book is about, Julia is in away running from her past but also trying to protect her daughter from her own mistakes. She is also trying to run a catering company with a good friend. When she meets Ryan who makes her feel and it scares her, will she be able to get over the past before she looses the feature? In the mean time Ryan is a high divorce attorney or has no desire to ever have a relationship, he moves in with his cousin Charlotte in a new city and he starts his own practice will he be able to find what he's really looking for? Ok so this book a novella and can be read in about 2 or 3 hours such a simple read. However the book does not lack at all. The story line is well written I love how the emotions and the feeling of the characters do not lack and you feel for each one equally. The relationship between Kelly (daughter) and Julia (mother) seems fairly typical but the author has no problem addressing tough issues that teenagers are facing now a days. I would recommend with book to any adult there are some very sizzling moments. Such a fun read I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Cant wait to read more from this author

Tragic misunderstandings and unexpected obstacles threaten to derail a fragile relationship. Someone is watching, waiting, and tormenting Juliette, desperate to destroy everything. Can they find the strength to overcome jealousy, insecurity, and fear before it’s too late?

My thoughts on the book:
This book is not your typical Cinderella fairy tale by all means. This book has a lot of back on forth but also has a lot of "steamy" Parts. I have to say I had a hard time putting this book down I was anxious to see what was going to happen next. From the beginning to the very last page I can say there is not a dull moment. I will say this though so parts I felt where maybe a little to detailed but over all that did not take away from the story line or distant you from it either. I love the chemistry coming of the pages from each character in the book as well as the spark between the main characters. I goes to show love is not easy and you have to fight for it all the while trying not to loose site of the greater picture or yourself. If you are looking for a book with some actions, some sexy steam parts and some really great writing you really can not go wrong with this book.

Hannah's Hope Karen Kingsbury

What's the book about:

Local politicians and the city's newspaper catch wind of her quest, and the entire state joins in Hannah's hope that she'll find her father before Christmas.

My thoughts on the book:
This is a the last book in the red glove series and I have to say you really don't have to read all the books to get the going on of the story, they are not tied together from what I can tell. This is the second book of the red glove series I read and I always thought these book were more geared to tweens and teens so I had no interest in ever reading them I finally broken down and read two and I think I will be getting the others so that I can read them. The story lines are amazing. In this one at some points it was very suspenseful on the edge of your seat. I loved the book but I was left wanting more at the end I felt almost like there was still a little more to the story that was left unsaid. Over all though the book is worth the read in quick simple and any one even teens would be blessed by the christmas miracle in this story. I love how in the book it talks about believing many times over. You will have to read the story to understand what I mean by that but this book is work the buy and the read. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

And Layla is willing to keep up their engagement farce until she's landed her client. For Layla, it's the chance to save her career. But for Seth, it's his last chance to win her heart. A year's worth of novellas from twelve inspirational romance authors. Happily ever after guaranteed.

My thoughts on the book:
This story is a quick read that quickly gets to a struggle between two people who have not been in the best of situations but take the time to work together and find out whats important. Why this book is short and sweet its a fun read. I know this is a novella but my only wish was that the story was longer this is a great and fun read and I can say easily be read in an hour to an hour and half. Definitely worth the buy. I can't wait to read more A year of the wedding books

Kelsy has successfully kept Patrick at a distance, and her reputation intact, until her drunkard brother-in-law Richard threatens to ruin everything by selling her darkest secret to the highest bidder. Now the victim of blackmail, Kelsey has nowhere else to turn but to Patrick's arms. But, can he be trusted? Or will the past destroy them all before she can find out if he's the hero she needs? "What it Takes" is the first book in the Rocky Creek Series by Kathryn Ascher. Sequels are expected to release in 2015 and 2016.

My thoughts on the book:
Over all I liked this book. The story line was well wrote the only thing I think I did not like about the book it the way the build up at the end. i think if that would have been maybe earlier in the book and maybe worked a little bit different it would have been that much better. Over all I hope that this author writes a follow up book with the story of Janelle. I also love how the author did not shy back from bring awareness to tough subjects such as Domestic Violence and alcoholism. This is a book you won't want to put down I have found out after writing this review that author is releasing more to the series so I no understand the build up at the end.

Lucas Tanner returns home to settle his younger brother Jarrett’s estate only to discover his brother left behind a very pregnant fiancée. Having lost his own wife and their baby she’d been carrying years before, he’s bound and determined to stick around and make sure Ellie’s child makes it safely into the world. Even if it means facing the ghosts of his past.

Struggling financially and emotionally, Ellie is torn between keeping her baby and giving it up for adoption. She wants to give her child the chance she never had - to be raised by two loving parents. If only she could make Lucas understand. And, if only she wasn’t falling for a man with no heart left to give.

Lucas finds himself wanting more. Wanting Ellie. But what if he gives in to his deepening feelings and loses her, too?

One fears abandonment. The other fears loss. Can Ellie and Lucas put their painful pasts behind them and finally find true happiness? Or are the emotional walls they’ve built up around their hearts too strong to tear down?

My thoughts on the book:
Why love is not always what is seen in movies and can be hard a tough this story is about that. Love, feeling alone and empty. But why two people fight the past and try to control the future they never know what's barriered deep in there souls they might discover. This love story is sweet and painful all at once has you cheering for the winner's and cry that it won't end. There is two love stories going on one I hope the author will continue to tell. I would recommend this book for anyone no fowl language just a wholesome love story i hope you enjoy.
