You're Gonna Love Me Robin Lee Hatcher

Description:

Who knew fate could twist a tragedy into a second chance at love?
Samantha Winters lives her life the way a good accountant should—measured, deliberate, and safe. After watching her father die in a tragic skiing accident, she decided never to allow risk into her life again. But she didn’t count on falling for Nick Chastain, who embodies everything she doesn’t want in her safely constructed world.

Against Samantha’s warnings, Nick plans a dangerous kayaking trip over spring break. Furious that he’s so careless with his life, she ends their fledgling relationship with harsh words.

Two years later, Samantha is desperately in need of a change. When she learns her grandmother has had an accident and is in need of a caretaker, Samantha quickly packs her bags and heads to Thunder Creek, Idaho. But nothing could prepare her for the surprise awaiting her in her grandmother’s hospital room . . . Nick.

With the charming backdrop of small-town friends, beloved cousins, and a whole church congregation rooting for them, can they set aside the disastrous ending of their first try at love? Has Nick changed enough to meet Samantha in the middle—and can she realize that a risk in love might be worth taking?
My thoughts on the book:

Samantha is not with what is going on in her life right now. She has more questions then she does answers. She is home helping her grandmother after a fall and maybe after some time of relaxing she can find out some answers. But when someone from her past comes back into her life she still ends up wondering whats next in her life. Nick runs into Samantha when he never thought he would see her again. He struggles with telling her the truth that happened two years ago or just letting things lye where they are. Can the two figure out how to navigate life in a small town and get the answers each seek?

What a sweet book this was. This book was like coming home, there was no suspense or nothing that just stood out. It felt more like catching up with a friend. I loved how the book just flowed and you wanted to find out what was going to happen next. I loved all the main characters I really enjoyed Ruth and her friends they just seemed like the towns Grandma's and also matchmakers. I really loved how this was a good clean read and also how with everything Nick had been through he still sought his faith to make it through. I can't wait for more from this sweet town of Thunder creek(oh how I hope there is more). If you are looking for a clean read with one of the sweetest love stories this book will not disappoint at all.

Christmas at the Graff Kaylie Newell

Description:

When Jemma Banks’ father breaks his pelvis, she only comes to Marietta to take care of him because it’s close to Christmas and he has nobody else. He abandoned her as a teenager and even though he’s desperate to make amends, she’s determined to leave with the frosty walls around her heart firmly intact.

Local physical therapist EJ Corpa is good at three things: sex, snowboarding, and healing. When he lays eyes on his patient’s daughter for the first time, he knows he wants to show her all three. Jemma is beautiful, stoic and guarded. But deep down, he sees a woman who’s longing for a little fun. When she agrees to help with his clinic’s tree for the Mistletoe and Marietta auction, the armor she’s so carefully constructed begins to fall away, and the magic of the holiday season takes hold.

As EJ and Jemma fall for each other, she will finally consider peace and forgiveness. And EJ will begin to see that life’s adventures are more thrilling when there’s someone to share them with.

My thoughts on the book:

Jemma is in Marietta to help take care of her dad who she has not seen since she was a young child and he left. She hopes that she can keep her heart intact and help her dad and get back home to her sister. EJ didn't have the best childhood however he picked the best thing up, which is helping people heal. When he is set to help Joe his best friend with Physical therapy it seems he gets a lot more then he expected.  Can they both find healing in the most unlikely of places

This book will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit.  Bob is hands down my favorite in the book I agree with EJ he is everyone who loves Christmas "spirit animal". I feel like the characters were fun and easy to follow. I really enjoyed how EJ was a "free" by fun and independent spirit yet was really willing to help those who needed it the most. I love the town of Marietta it seems that no matter what time of the year you are reading a book Marietta seems Magical. Two broken people with a past history of people letting them down and hoping to find healing one. This book will not disappoint. This book does have strong and adult language.

The View from Rainshadow Bay Colleen Coble- Lavender Tides Series Book #1

Description:

"Prepare to stay up all night with Colleen Coble. Coble's beautiful, emotional prose coupled with her keen sense of pacing, escalating danger, and very real characters place her firmly at the top of the suspense genre. I could not put this book down." --Allison Brennan, New York Times bestselling author of Shattered

After her husband, Jack, dies in a climbing incident, Shauna has only her five-year-old son and her helicopter charter business to live for. Every day is a struggle to make ends meet and she lives in constant fear of losing even more than she already has.

When her business partner is murdered, his final words convince Shauna that she’s in danger too. But where can she turn? Zach Bannister was her husband’s best friend and is the person she blames for his death. She’s barely spoken to him since. But right now he seems her only hope for protecting her son.

Zach is only too happy to assuage his guilt over Jack’s death by helping Shauna any way he can. But there are secrets involved dating back to Shauna’s childhood that more than one person would prefer to stay hidden.

In The View from Rainshadow Bay, suspense, danger, and a longing to love again ignite amid the gorgeous lavender fields of Washington State.

My thoughts on the book:
Shauna is doing all she can to stay a float after the death of her husband. When it seems that someone might be after her, it seems the only person she can turn to is the one person she blames for her husbands death and the one person she can't stand to be around. Can she get to the bottom of whats going on and protect herself and her son or will all become to much?
Zach has enough guilt over his best friends death. His life changed in just a tiny moment and all he wants to do is protect Shauna and her son and try and make peace with the past. Will he be up for all thats thrown at him or will it finally be to much for him?

Where to begin with this book. This book was so amazing and I can't wait for more from this series. This book will not disappoint it will keep on the edge of your seat from the beginning to the end. I really enjoyed the message of forgiveness in this book, that no matter what can go wrong we need to find the forgiveness for each other. I really loved that this book was a good clean read and that it was perfect for all ages. (teens through adults). You really can't go wrong with this book you will think you have it all figured out when the author throws a wrench into the mix only to keep you guessing.

Red Wine and Roses SJ McCoy The Hamiltons Book one

Description:

Take a trip to wine country to meet the Hamiltons in this new sweet and steamy series from SJ McCoy.

Cameron Hamilton may well be the most eligible bachelor in Napa Valley. He’s the CEO of Hamilton-Groves, one of the largest wine producers and distributors in the country. He lives a charmed life. Admired for his skills in the boardroom – and the bedroom—he works hard and plays harder. He’s not looking for a wife, he’s too busy living to want to settle down.

Piper Gaines is at a crossroads in her life. She’s just moved to California to take a job flying a private jet. After years flying cargo and believing that was as far as her career would go, her new job and new life are a dream come true. It couldn’t get any better – or could it? She isn’t looking for a man, but as maid of honor for her old friend Laura, she’s paired with best man Cameron Hamilton. He’s irresistible, but she’s trying to resist – at least at first.

My thoughts on the book:

Piper just moved closer to her best friend is ready to see what life has for her. She has never had it easy and it ready to take the “bull” by its horns and take on this new adventure. Cameron is the Ceo of his families company and he doesn’t lack the amount of fun and women in his life. HIs own assistant wonders some day about his ability to keep up his way. Can he convince Piper that they could be friends and that they could have fun together or is he better at just staying with what he knows?
I really enjoyed this book it was a fun book. I loved how Piper was a no none sense take no prisoners type attitude but was also very vulnerable. I really enjoyed Cam and his sensitive ways but his I am not going to put up with anything either. I loved his relationship with his family. If you have read The Wedding Flight you will notice that the first few chapters go hand and hand with some of that book from Piper and Cameron’s point of view but after that it takes a whole new story line and who Piper and Cam are. This book does have adult language and scenes and may not be suitable for all ages. This book is a fun book over all it was super fun to catch up with the other characters from other books.

A Texas Christmas Reunion Eve Gaddy- Whiskey River Christmas Book 2

Description:
Years ago, Harlan Sullivan broke Savannah Taylor's heart. Now, he's back in Whiskey River as the new owner of the local construction company–and Savannah's new boss. Giving up Savannah was the hardest thing Harlan ever had to do, but it’s way past time to explain why he did. Besides, after fourteen years, they have both moved on. Or so he thinks—until their unexpected meeting at Felicity’s Christmas Ball shocks him into realizing his buried feelings—and secret passion—are very much alive.

As long as she keeps a tight grip over her emotions, Savannah is confident she can weather having her old flame become her new boss. She’s even willing to indulge the desire that time seems to have intensified. But there’s no way she will let Harlan anywhere close to her heart.

Harlan soon realizes he wants more from the sexy, sultry Savannah than a temporary affair and sets out to convince her that this time, their love will last forever. But it will take a bit of Christmas magic from the Harwood Inn ghost to bring this reluctant banker’s daughter and determined Barrels Bad Boy to their happily-ever-after.

My thoughts on the book:

Savannah is ready to move on from the last relationship she just needs to get through the Ball and what better way but with her friends. She can't believe her eyes when she sees Harlan the last person she wants to see but she can do this right. Harlan is home and is ready to be there for his family and enjoy his new business venture, but he has a secret and only wants to protect the person it will affect the greatest. Can he protect the only women he has ever loved or will it be over for good?

I really love this small Texas town of Whiskey River. This book was fun and really gets you into the spirit of Christmas. This book has adult language and scenes and will not be suitable for all ages. I did enjoy how the author did not make Savannah this "weak" women but someone who took what was given and did amazing things. I really loved how to me there was no "hero" in the story but there was two amazing main characters who were super fun to read.

A Second Christmas Wish Kathryn Freeman

Description:

Do you believe in Father Christmas?
For Melissa, Christmas has always been overrated. From her cold, distant parents to her manipulative ex-husband, Lawrence, she’s never experienced the warmth and contentment of the festive season with a big, happy family sitting around the table.
And Melissa has learned to live with it, but it breaks her heart that her seven-year-old son, William, has had to live with it too. Whilst most little boys wait with excitement for the big day, William finds it difficult to believe that Father Christmas even exists.
But then Daniel McCormick comes into their lives. And with his help, Melissa and William might just be able to find their festive spirit, and finally have a Christmas where all of their wishes come true …

My thoughts on the book:
Melissa is trying to make the best life for her and her young son. She finally escapes her controlling ex husband but it seems he wants something. Can she protect her son and find a new life to live?
Daniel is finally in a place in his life he's ready to start the next chapter if he could just get his sister off his back. When Melissa walks into his life he wonders what he was thinking and if maybe she might have something to do with the next chapter now all he has to do is convince her. Can he convince her and get out of it what he wants and still remain in one piece?

I was not a huge fan of this book. I found the book very predictable and found Melissa annoying and whiny. I found Daniel charming and I loved Alice she's that annoying "little sister" everyone wants or has and has such a big heart. I really loved the relationship between William and Sammie that just seemed to be up to no good some times and be just like normal little boys. I found Lawrence a bit much and annoying as well. I will say I did enjoy the Christmas aspect of the story and how finding love, family and forgiveness around the holidays is so important. The is adult language in this book and may not find it suitable for all ages.

Sugarplum Way Debbie Mason Harmony Harbor #4

Description:
"Heartfelt and delightful!" -RaeAnne Thayne, New York Times bestselling author

Romance writer Julia Landon knows how to write a happily-ever-after. Creating one for herself is a whole different story. But after a surprising--and surprisingly passionate--kiss under the mistletoe at Harmony Harbor's holiday party last year, Julia thought she might have finally found her very own chance at true love. Until she learns her Mr. Tall, Dark, and Broodingly Handsome has sworn off relationships. Well, if she can't have him in real life, Julia knows just how to get the next best thing....

Aidan's only priority is to be the best single dad ever. And this year, he plans to make the holidays magical for his little girl, Ella Rose. But visions of stolen kisses under the mistletoe keep dancing in his head, and when he finds out Julia has written him into her latest novel, he can't help imagining the possibilities of a future together. Little does he know, though, Julia has been keeping a secret that threatens all their dreams. Luckily, 'tis the season for a little Christmas magic.

The Harmony Harbor series:
Mistletoe Cottage
Christmas with an Angel (short story)
Starlight Bridge
Primrose Lane
Sugarplum Way
Driftwood Cove
Sandpiper Shore

My thoughts on the book:

Julia is Christmas all wrapped up in one. She has a lot on her plate but keeping busy helps with the secrets she's keeping and her thoughts on the task at hand. But the question is how much longer can she keep these and protect those she cares so much about. Aidan is home and he needs to figure out what to do. He has to find out what Julia is really up to he knows there it more then meets the eye but it seems no one has anything bad to say about her. Can he get to the bottom of everything or will things come to light and change everything for everyone?

I really love reading this series I just can't seem to get enough. I love the closeness of the family and how not matter what life throws at them they come together and get through it. I really love GG and her crazy antics. I really loved how in this a lot more things came to light making a lot more sense for other things in other books. I really Enjoyed Julia and her strong family and there no none sense ways that seem extreme sometimes. They fit in with the Gallagher's and Harmony Harbor perfectly. The story was super sweet and puts you in the Christmas Spirit  it really is a fun read and I had a hard time putting the book down. This book is so worth the read. I really hope there is more to come with this town and these fun characters.
